when it comes to eating disorders, there is never an “ill enough”. eating disorders will make you think you were never ill enough no matter what your lowest weight was, no matter whether you went inpatient etc. the way i dealt with these feelings was by remembering that if i was never truly “ill enough” i would never have been treated for anorexia in the first place. you have to remember that everyone’s battle is different, and at the end of the day, eating disorders are a MENTAL illness. they are not defined by your lowest weight or how much exercise you did etc. i also dealt with these feelings by reaching a healthy weight. it may sound strange, but now that i’m a healthy weight i’ve been able to realise that my ED would have never been happy no matter what. i hope you’re okay angel, keep going, it gets better (i’m living proof of that!)💛xxx

hi angel, no i’ve never been inpatient for my ED and i’m very thankful for that. i managed to pull things back at home with the help of my team and family/friends. i remember a time where i was so set on relapsing, i was determined to prove to everyone that i could do it again, that i would get smaller again. the hard truth is relapsing will get you nowhere. it will not make you happier and it definitely will not help your mental state in the long-run. now that i’m a healthy weight i can see that relapsing IS NOT THE ANSWER. it never was and it never will be. you are worth so much more than any of the lies that your ED tells you. i love you so much, keep fighting💛xxx
