its not really a comic its more like a random assortment of related doodles of my lovely interpretation of the lights out betrayal scene. so here are my thoughts:
- i think tommy genuinely wanted to help gordon when he got jumped but someone (bubby) stopped him
- bubby was the one who planned it from the start and benrey was just a messenger
- they both fully intended on selling out gordon but for different reasons. bubby did it because gordon's suit helped the military follow them and benrey did it cause he thought it would be a funny joke
- everything benrey does is all just fucking around i doubt he'd have an actual reason to be hostile towards gordon other than jokes and riling him up for amusement
- they both immediately regretted it after seeing how bad gordon was treated. like, they didn't realize shit was serious until that moment since theyre all fucked ais. they dont have to worry about shit, but gordon? gordon's human. he feels this.
- gordon forgives them afterwards but like. yknow. that betrayal is going to stick with him after black mesa. when he finally has the time to rest in his home? all the bad feelings he's been putting off for the sake of survival is going to flood him.
- dr coomer on the otherhand watches everything unfold. he doesn't help because he sees an opportunity. at least his clones do, but how different is he from the rest of his clones?
