Beautiful Heart

I was the moon,

I thought the sun was making me shine

But it wasn’t,

What gave me my illusion of brilliance

Was the surrounding darkness all of this time.

We must go get them and then teach them how we stay afloat.

Confronting pain -- Letting go, Washed clean with blood, mercy,and grace:

Through the redeeming power of Jesus’ blood, sometimes God doesn’t want us to hold onto things from our past. He not only forgives our sins, but forgets them. Though we naturally come up against confession and repentance because it makes us feel weak, it is actually the only way to move forward and release yourself from the strength of their grip.

For a time

When I wasn’t I.

The weight was too much

I tried to carry it on my own,

I forgot that I should pass it off

To the one who sits on the throne.
