Hey! As many of you know, about 4 years ago Lazyduchess released a mod for The Sims 2 that increases lot size limit from default 60x60 to 120x120. It is an amazing work, despite some issues that arise with this mod installed. Personally I wanted to play with this mod sooooo much but broken imposters made me avoid using it. Spent lot of time, I finally managed to fix the imposters at least. Snow next maybe??
Installation
It is completely the same as original, so go to LD's page for details (but you can ignore sticking to the classic lot imposter quality setting) and then download my fix and replace LD's ASI file with mine.
Improvements
Fixed multistory lots tile mapping.
Added support for all lot imposter quality settings (so that it's possible to use this mod with higher lot imposter quality settings rather than classic one).
Known Issues
Snow rendering as LD mentioned in his original mod post.

You noticed this baby bulldozer is barely clickable?
That's because of the overlap with another UI element, more precisely its image. Very interesting, actually! The game doesn't have a problem with this original image:
Even though it overlaps, the game recognizes transparency and lets you click the bulldozer just fine!
But if you replace this corner image with a recolored one or just different, even equally transparent in the same areas, the game seems to see it as obstacle, and you can't click on buttons it overlaps.
The little bulldozer with his unfortunate position suffers the most.
At first, I thought it was some format settings problem, or the way image editor saved the edited image, but I tried re-saving the original blue image and it worked, and as soon as I edited it, it didn't. Don't know what's up with that :/
What I ended up doing is I moved the bulldoze button slightly to the right, and cut the corner image area, so now the overlap looks like this:
Not ideal, but I decided not to move it any further, because it already does cut a bit from the image's shadow:
The FT Reader's Desk Supplies isn't recolorable so I repo'd the stapler and tape dispenser to the CD spindel and then repo'd the texture of the CD spindle to the Reader's Desk Supplies. The CD spindle can be recolored and it will also recolor the stapler and tape dispenser

Sims 2 Traits - Self Interactions! I found a disabled animation!
Since I'm obsessed with socials now (and I watch @teaaddictyt streams and VODS where she gives me ideas...) here are some mods that affect Neurotic, Dramatic and Insane Sims! These are fun little self-interactions for storytelling or other purposes... I originally inserted these into the PersonGlobals TTAB. But as some of you may know, this causes a great deal of issues because it conflicts with other important mods.
So, I split them up into three separate controllers, so they don't conflict with anything! they all have unique GUIDS. These are non-autonomous and require Easy Inventory Check and the base traits mod by Hexagonal Bipyramid.
Interactions
Neurotic Sims can now "Freak Out" if their Comfort is low. They will cry, worry, or throw a tantrum and their comfort will increase. Paired great with my "Motive Decay" for traits, because Neurotics have greater Comfort decay!
Dramatic Sims can now "Fake Pass Out" like the Sims 3. Sims will react to your Sim, and their reactions depend on personality and traits (Evil Sims may enjoy it...). They can only do it if their Social is fairly low and it gives them Fun and Social.
Insane Sims (and this is my favorite) can now scream psychotically and everyone around them will react. I found a disabled/cut interaction called "Primal Scream" in the code so I just HAD to enable it for Insane Sims. There's an animation for this and everything!
Ok it doesn't show you the Anim, but trust me, it's great! And they actually scream! Like audibly!
Enjoy! Looking at this mod will also help you understand self-interactions if you're into modding!
I also have one for the Clumsy trait where they do the roller-skate fall animation randomly, but I can't get it to work autonomously in a controller. It stays in my PersonGlobals unfortunately.

Here’s another small thing - I almost exclusively use @whysim skin blends, and those that aren’t have these teeth added to them by me anyway. I also really liked some of the custom teeth masks I’ve seen around, like here, here and here. However, those don’t match the teeth I use, soo… I made my own teeth masks! The download is split in 2, since I wanted to include the PU overlays in the Baby, Baby, Baby theme at GOS:

# Gunmod's Radiance Light System 2.4 by dDefinder on ModTheSims - A realistic, extremely dramatic, sometimes very dark lighting mod that increases the intensity of colors, lights and shadows and adds sunrise and sunset to the game (they don't exist in the vanilla game)
#Gunmod's Radiance Light System 2.5 edited by @dreadpirate - An updated version of the aforementioned lighting, with much more compatibility with many shaders and less blue nights! Every Season it have they own lighting color: Summer is vibrant, autumn has warm colors, winter has cold colors, and spring has a little yellowish "filter".
#Maxis Match Lighting Mod by Dreadpirate - The environment is more saturated and bright, removes the dull gray tint that vanilla game has. Everything is smoother and more uniform. The shadows are calm, exactly like the ones in the vanilla game. Each season has its own lighting, the nights are black instead of blue and it has many compatibility with many shaders. This one also has sunrise and sunset.
#Cinema Secret by Dreadpirate (@veronavillequiltingbee) - A perfect mix between the Gunmod Radiance and the Maxis Match Lighting mod. It use elements of both, such as the shadows and calm colors of the MM Lighting Mods but the intensity of the lights of the Gunmod Radiance (especially noticeable when using neon lights). It has many compatibility with many shaders, the nights are black instead of blue, it has sunrise and sunset and every season has its own lighting.

Lighting Mods for the Neighborhood
#Neighborhood Lighting Remedy by Criquette - This lighting mod is ONLY for the neighborhood and you can use it together with any of the three lighting mods mentioned above. Fixes the direction of the lights and shadows to be consistent with that of the lot imposters and makes it more consistent with lot mode.
#Accurate Neighborhood Terrain Lighting by @simnopke - This lightind mod is like the above one. It is only for the neighborhood and can be used in conjunction with a DP & dDefinder lighting mod but NOT in conjunction with Criquette's NH Lighting Remedy.

Lighting Mods for the CAS (Create a Sim)
#Minimalistic CAS Lighting Mod Replacement with Custom Light by Dreadpirate - This lighting mod is CAS ONLY and can be used together with a dDefinder or DP lighting mod and a lightind mod for the neighborhood. Using similar lighting to the MM Lighting Mod, it makes the CAS more saturated and smooth. You have to change a value in a lights file within the game install path but it's worth it!
One small problem I've noticed is that when used with lighting mods other than the MM Lighting mod it often doesn't work well even if the value is correctly changed. For example, when I changed the lighting mod and switched from MM to Cinema Secret, it triggered the super lighted sims bug in CAS which I didn't have before. But then again, this could be just my problem. There is fix by Lazy Duchess for this bug but you need to be very careful. Sometimes it conflicts with some shaders (as in my case) and unleashes an absurd pink soup even in bodyshop even if bodyshop shouldn't have anything to do with it. But AS ALWAYS, maybe it's only a problem of mine because I'm very unlucky.
EXTRA SHADERS BUT NOT REQUIRED
#Better Nightlife by @criquette-was-here - Even if it does not change anything graphically with colors, lights and shadows like a lighting MOD it adds shaders that allow the deco hoods to light up during the night. So for example, by downloading hood decos compatible with this shader you can have street lamps that light up on the street (in the neighborhood), buildings lit up at night, lit bridges etch.
#Blue Snow No More by Dreadpirate - This shader removes the blue tint that snow creates even if you use lighting mods that make the night black instead of blue. Many DP lighting mods (Like MM Lighting Mod) have this shader already included, so you don't need to download it, this is an individual shader if you don't use their lighting mods. To be honest, neither the shader INSIDE the lighting mod nor the shader by itself has never worked for me, but I think there is a problem in my download folder at this point or I am very unlucky.
#Overly Bright CAS Fix by @lazyduchess - As I have already explained before, this mod fixes the bug of super enlightened sims in CAS. Sometimes it can conflict with something (which I don't quite understand with what) and trigger an absurd pink soup, so if you suddenly start to notice more pink soup than usual try to remove it and see how it goes.
Maybe it just conflicts with some lighting mod or some shader. In my case it could be the DP's lighting mod for the CAS.
#Moi Shader Roof by niol on ModThe Sims - This shader fixes the lighting of roofs which sometimes appear much darker than their texture. Many lighting mods from DP have this shader included OR are compatible with this shader. So check the descriptions under their lighting mods before downloading it.
#Brighter Roofs...But Not Too Bright! by Deastrumquodvicis on ModTheSims - Same as the previous shader, but makes the roofs less bright than they show with the aforementioned shader. This shader uses Moi's shader as a base, so you can NOT use both. Use only one. Many lighting mods from DP have this shader included OR are compatible with this shader. So check the descriptions under their lighting mods before downloading it.
#Moi's Neighbourhood Water Global Mod by niol on ModTheSims - This mod changes the water color of the neighborhood. Nothing more nothing less. Many DP mods are compatible with this shader.
#Pond & Sea Water Overhaul by Voeille on ModTheSims - This mod changes the water of the sea and ponds and makes it more realistic using The Sims 2 Castaway water shaders. Many DP mods are compatible with this shader but for some shaders like Better Nightlife it needs a little more attention. For example, if you use Better Nightlife you will need to use the version of these shaders provided by the Better Nightlife link to be compatible. So you have to delete these for use their shaders if you want both.
You can't use this together Moi's Water.
#A World Lit by Fire by hat_play_sims on dreamwidth - This mod itself doesn't change shaders dramatically, but it change the color of some lights and make them more sensate. I'll explain: many maxis lights that are powered by candles or should give off a warm light regardless, give off a cool, white light instead. Have you ever seen a candle emitting white light? No! This mod fixes all lights in the game and makes lights that need to be warm... warm. Perfect for history-themed saves or for the ones like me, completely obsessed with candlelight in this game. Many DP mods are compatible with this shader. It's immensely beautiful when used with the dramacity of the Radiance System but works quite well with other lighting mods as well.
Just an edit I did of @crispsandkerosene's SimStandardMaterial shader because I liked a setting somewhere in between the vanilla maxis setting for the scale lighting and the one in the Brighter SIms version.
I used 0.275 instead of 0.55 in the Brighter Sims shader, but if you want a flatter look you can tune the “stdMatScaleLightBetween” value slightly higher but the sims will also be much brighter at night.
It doesn't look too bad at night, I don't think.
Best used with lighting mods that tend to be more on the realistic-ish end like Radiance Lighting System, Cinema Secrets, or Cozy Home (this was taken with Cozy Home), but it works with any other lighting mod as well.
Hello ! No idea if this is possible. I love these toddler cars but don't love the mesh. Wondering if turning them into the mesh like the 2fw cars/ wagons would be possible? The current 2fw cars are just deco.
These deco cars were high poly, I reduced them from 26k to 4k and removed the handle. They are functional toddler cars now, based on the Toddler Steampunk Car (compatible for base game but with free time enthusiasm too).
Car horn sound and wrench accessory for tinkering are from the original post, if you already have those you don't need to put them in your download folder.

I do a lot of mini tweaks/fixes of CC for my own use, and sometimes I think they are possibly useful to someone else. Like today, when I fixed a couple of things on Veranka's lovely rack from her deliciously indulgent bakery set.
The slots are not quite aligned with the shelves, and as you may have heard, I cannot with floating. Unless it comes with a wizard practicing a levitating spell 24/7, it's not allowed 😁
The slots are also duplicated for each tile, so that objects want to go on them twice, which I find a little exhausting in using the object. I have tweaked the shelves a tiny bit to align with purple omsp heights, set the slot height to be correct for the mesh, and I split the slots so that those that are on the right are on that tile, and slots that are on the left are on that tile. No more duplicating, huzzah.

It has recolors so definitely go grab those from the original upload if you did not have it already, not to mention all of the other cute items of the set :) Remember to remove the original rack file if you already had it. Note that slot adjustments cannot take effect until the item is removed from lot and then rebought, so if you had existing placements you want to update, you have to delete it first and buy a new one. Annoying, but such is CRES life unfortunately :3

Back in 2024, I created an accessory box for my own game using an amazing tutorial by Ocelotekatl ( @blueheavensims ) . It contained some measly 20 acc. The arduous task increased my respect a 1000x for those creators out there that have provided us with amazing accessory boxes.
Mid May 2026, @picknmixsims posted a template that automates the whole process 😍.
Oh my, I had a wild weekend 😁, with a long download hunt and an ever increasing list of new accessories to add. 😂
The box includes 134 accessories from various creators now.
I added the option to “change model”. Featuring 6 Maxis objects.
And the box is now peaceable on all surfaces.

If you don’t like the maxis models, you can easily customize the box. More details in this Tutorial. Open in SimPe, navigate to STR#0x85. Change names of models.
Want more models? Add them to the list in STR#0x85 and open BHAV 0x10C8. Change the literal value to the last number in your list.
e.g. I use various models from Syringe Vials by Crocobaura, First Aid kit, Paramedic Bag by Ocelotekatl and Clutter from this set by TheRaven.

Elsimer asked me about this and I said I’d make this tutorial in English as well. Here it is!
1. Open the game → Create a Sim (CAS) in debug mode and hover the cursor over: (1) the outfit(s) you want to move and (2) a reference outfit (the one you want the first one(s) to appear next to). From the Frag Key, write down the third block of numbers for each outfit.
2. In SimPE, open the file globalcatbin.bundle.package for the expansion that contains your outfit(s). This file is located in Program Files/EA Games/The Sims 2 [EP/SP]/TSData/Res/Catalog/Bins.
3. Open Window/Filter Resources (if you don’t have it enabled by default) and filter by instance for each number you wrote down. For each outfit, there will be two resources: binary index (BINX) and 3D ID Rereferencing File (3IDR).
4. Select both resources (BINX and 3IDR) for each outfit and right-click extract. Save each pair of resources into its own folder named for that outfit and close globalcatbin.bundle.
5. Restart SimPE (optional but recommended after opening large files, depending on your version) and create a new package file and right-click import the BINX + 3IDR pairs for the outfit(s) you want to move.
6. Add the BINX + 3IDR of your reference outfit to the same package. If you do this after saving, you’ll be able to distinguish the outfits you want to move from the reference one, because the outfit added after saving will appear in italics.
7. Copy the sortindex and collection from the reference outfit:
7.1. Open the reference BINX and copy its sortindex. Open the target BINX and set its sortindex to the same value.
7.2. In the reference 3IDR, select the collection entry. Then open the target 3IDR, right-click in an empty area and select Add (this adds the last selected item). Move the newly added collection entry into the position of the old one and delete the old collection entry.
8. Delete the reference outfit’s BINX and 3IDR and save. Place your package in the same folder as globalcatbin.bundle and name it so it loads after it (e.g. start filename with z).
9. Enjoy! And share so others don’t have to go through your pain themselves 🥲
