Is it just me, or is AMC promoting Season 3 way more aggressively than they ever did for Seasons 1 and 2? Suddenly, there are ads everywhere. TV spots, billboards, social media campaigns, interviews, you name it. Itâs honestly hard not to notice the difference. I remember when Season 1 dropped, and unless you were already in the know, you couldâve easily missed it. Even Season 2, despite the growing fanbase, didnât get nearly this level of attention or marketing push.
So whatâs changed?
Well, hereâs a theory: maybe it has something to do with the fact that the lead character this season is white. (I LOVE SAM REID AND THAT IS DEFINITELY NOT HIS FAULT OR INTENTION) Itâs hard to ignore that the previous seasons featured Black protagonists and narratives centered on Black experiences. Stories that are often, unfortunately, undervalued by mainstream media unless theyâre tied to trauma or tokenism. But now that the show is being led by a white character, AMC suddenly seems a lot more invested in pushing it to a broader audience.
It feels like the network sees Season 3 as a âsaferâ or more âmarketableâ entry point, which is disappointing but not exactly surprising. The quality of the earlier seasons was just as high, if not better, so the lack of earlier promo love makes me feel a little suspicious. Iâm not saying that itâs bad, I just wished they had this energy from the beginning.
Anyone else noticing this shift or am I just paranoid?
I think that those who believe that Madeleine is a creep and that her relationship with Claudia is strange and predatory are also those who believe that people with disabilities should live their entire lives alone.
HEAR ME OUT!
The idea that someone like Claudia should remain alone simply because she doesnât fit a conventional mold of adulthood reflects a kind of social infantilization thatâs both ableist and reductive. Madeleine, as portrayed in the AMC series, sees and accepts Claudia for who she is: a lonely, fiercely intelligent, emotionally scarred being yearning for connection and family on her own terms. Their bond is strange, yes, BUT so is immortality, so is vampirism, and so is grief. To reduce it to âcreepyâ without context is to strip both characters of their agency and depth. Also, I think they did an amazing job at making clear that Madeleine is attracted to Claudiaâs personality and feels connected to her because both of them have trauma. Therefore, you either don't like sapphics, believe that Claudia should be left alone forever for circumstances beyond her control, or simply lack media literacy if you believe that she is in a relationship with Claudia because she appears to be a child.
At the end of the day, Claudiaâs perspective was the most reliable narrator out of all of them because her side was never meant to be shared. Her diaryâs were for her and just for her. By accident she gave us the most accurate version of what happened while she was still alive. I trust her version the most because she documented them while they happened. Louis and Lestat are telling the story 100+ years later, remember that guys!
"Sometimes, a suicidal person in the days leading up to the act will just blurt out "I love you" to family. Itâs sort of like a goodbye." -JJ criminal minds
Before Paul ended his life, he went to Grace's wedding and made sure she was loved and taken care of. And before he walked off the roof he told Louis he wanted Louis to settle down (get married next) and that he loved him. Poor Paul was so mentally ill he probably thought about ending things longer than we think.
ouchâŚ

You know what really got under my skin? The way Louis tried to frame it like both he and Claudia were responsible for Armand finding out about Lestatâs murder. Letâs be real, Armand didnât read our minds, he read his. Claudia had nothing to do with that.
Louis has always struggled with accountability, and that moment in the finale really drove it home. It wasnât just heartbreaking, it was infuriating. Claudiaâs crash outs were ALWAYS valid! (âŚshe was better than me I wouldâve done worse)
I need a man who looks at me like Armand looks at that senior citizen (bro has literally stars in his eyes)
