There is nothing like hot chocolate on your cold porch in the morning! Take the time to listen to the birds. Their songs will put you at ease and leave you feeling refreshed and ready for what lies ahead!

My little cookie jar <3 Everything is made to be so much bigger than the actual portion it should be. These bite size cookies are just what the recipe called for, and I couldn't be more thankful! I don't overindulge and since there is a larger quantity they last much longer!

If you're like me and do laundry before others are awake, you might be forced to work with a small space. You never wake a sleeping baby, cat, or husband! I find it easier to put away large items such as towels and sheets first, since those are often kept out of the bedrooms. Then you can fold the rest and put away when everyone is awake. Thankfully this guy slept through the whole folding process. Most of the time he gets up and moves in the middle right on top of the folded piles!

It's important to remember etiquette these days! It is nice to bring a little something to a dinner, even if it's just family. It shows them you were thinking of them and are thankful they offered their home to you! The hard part is deciding what to bring. If you write down recipes you like (in pencil so it won't fade as quickly) then you won't waste time trying to search through an assortment online or in a book. You will also have a special gift to give when you no longer need it!

Creating Command Central! Paint didn't stick, but that was the easy way out anyway. With a little fabric glue and ribbon, this chalkboard will be transformed into something I want to look at every day, even if it is a list of chores! Being crafty while doing crafts saves time too! A person only has two hands, so use what's around as a weight to hold stuff down!

Some light reading this morning... it's interesting to compare people then and now. Today people would be sitting on their couch telling their guest to help themselves to what they can find.

We always ask ourselves if it's really worth it. The answer is yes!!! Now if I could just learn to write down these recipes...
