two fridays ago i call my surgeon’s clinic and say hey insurance approved my surgery did you get it on your end. they say no we will call you as soon as we get it on monday. a full ten days goes by i call them and say hey did you get this? they say yeah! okay why tf didn’t you call me. whatever. she says hold on let me get the surgery coorindator. oops sorry she’s busy. i say okay so should i call back tomorrow? they say no our surgery coordinator is really good about reaching out :) this is very much a fool me once situation safe to say i will be calling again tomorrow to bug them i refuse to wait another week so someone can call me when they feel like it

My best advice for people new to adulthood: keep emergency food around.

I don't mean like those prepper type people. I mean keep a granola bar in your purse or backpack. If you have a car, keep a jar of peanuts in there.

This is good for if you miss your bus, or forget your wallet somewhere, or get stuck in traffic. You never know when you are going to feel shaky, and it's better to have something quick and easy on hand, in case you need it.

Having emergency food around is your best friend. Trust me.

#second to this: keep an emergency water bottle in your car/purse/bag #to drink from #but also one day u may be stuck in traffic on the verge of pissing yourself #and that bottle is the only that’s standing between you and a piss stained cloth drivers seat
