One Sad Spinach

Alex (Summer)

Alex and [Reader] would meet/get close on the beach in the morning, since Alex is there for a while and since [Reader] would be there for fishing and foraging

Alex goes to the beach pretty early and stays there for a while so he'd be a bit surprised that someone else is there, especially not the new farmer that everyone talks about.

[Reader] would be on the shore fishing when Alex comes up, watching them fish and whatever, maybe making small talk as they try to catch something. [Reader] and Alex have obviously met before-its a small town so its no surprise everyone is somewhat acquainted with one another, and they've talked to him once or twice in passing- but this is totally different. [reader] and Alex are basically alone out here!

Eventually [reader] hooks a huge fish, and it manages to yank them into the water. Automatically, they try to grab something to stable themselves so they don't fall…but the only closest object was Alex, causing both [reader] and Alex to fall into the water, [reader] losing the fish.

Alex gets up first, helping [Reader] up, they apologize profusely, but Alex just laughs and brushes it aside, "no hard feelings, right?". [Reader] ends up buying something from the Saloon and giving it to him later as an apology.

Alex starts hanging out with [Reader] a lot more, eventually getting closer with them and even giving them tips on getting more muscular or smth i don't work out LOL

Sebastian (Rainy Spring)

[Reader] would meet Seb up in the mountains up by his house in the rain, [Reader] would be leaving the mines when they spot Sebastian smoking by the water

Seb wouldn't notice [Reader] at first until they come up next to him, thoroughly startling him and making him drop whatever he's smoking

"Don't you know its rude to sneak up on people?" Sebastian mutters as he simply picks up whatever he dropped, annoyed not only because his alone time is interrupted now, but also because his cigarette is totally soaked.

[Reader] can obviously tell that Sebastian is annoyed at something deeper, and questions Seb, which leads him to rant about everyone and everything, mostly about how most people don't take his job seriously, and about Demetrius and…whatever attitude he has towards Sebastian and how much the man favors Maru while he treats Sebastian like shit

After the encounter by the lake, Sebastian and [Reader] are now a lot closer, [Reader] even hangs out with Sebastian and the others at the bar and play pool together (though Seb usually wins)

Sam (Summer or Spring)

Sam and [Reader] would crash into each other no doubt, maybe something similar to the heart event where Lewis catches him skateboarding.

Sam would be trying out tricks and [Reader] would be turning the corner as the same time as Sam basically tackles reader to the ground and knocks the wind out of them

"Holy crap! I'm so sorry dude" Sam pulls [Reader] up and picks up his board. "I was just trying out some tricks on my board, guess I should be more careful next time, heh"

Sam locks [Reader] into a conversation about skateboarding and starts to show them a couple cool tricks until Jodi calls Sam inside for dinner

Sam starts hanging around [Reader] a lot more, showing off new skateboarding tricks or inviting them over to watch him practice new songs for his band, maybe even teaching them some things too

Shane (Any Season)

Since this is [Reader]'s first year here, Shane is still a very heavy drinker and leaves the Saloon pretty late, absolutely wasted. [Reader] would be walking home through the town and would hear a groan from the bushes by the Saloon

[Reader] investigates and finds a drunk Shane passed out in a bush with throw up on his jacket and shirt Shane is totally a messy drunk, he's either throwing up or crying…he's probably doing both at some point

[Reader] helps Shane up out of the bushes and tries to drag him back to Marnie's as he mumbles god knows what as he basically lets reader half-carry him all the way to Marnie's

Marnie opens the door and lets [Reader] in, helping them drag Shane into his room and help him change out of his clothes

Shane wakes up the next day hung over and comes out of his room and Marnie comes out, scolding him for passing out and having the new farmer carry him all the way home

After getting into a argument with Marnie, Shane drags himself all the way to [Reader]'s farmhouse. Spotting [Reader] working on their farm and calling out to them

"Hey, Farmer. Sorry for uh…last night, Marnie said that you brought me home haha" [Reader] laughs with him too before they engage in some small talk and Shane invites [Reader] to the Saloon for a drink "Maybe this time you wont have to carry me back home this time"

Harvey (Any Season)

Harvey and [Reader] would officially meet when [Reader] limps into Harvey's office with some sort of wound from the mines and Harvey totally freaking out when he sees [Reader] bleeding through their clothes

"The mines are dangerous! Why would anybody in their right mind go down there?! You could've been seriously hurt!"

After ripping [Reader] a new one, Harvey sends reader home with some medication and a change of bandages just incase they need to be changed or if infection settles in

After some thinking, Harvey doubts that [Reader] would actually take care of themselves, so the next morning Harvey visits the farm and spots [Reader] doing yardwork, not resting or taking care of themselves at all!

"[Reader]! you are supposed to be resting!" Harvey drags a reluctant farmer inside and checks their bandages before he sighs and starts to change them while scolding them more

After that, Harvey starts to check up on [Reader] some more and eventually becoming friends with them and starting to trust them to go into the mines and come back alive

Elliot (Summer or Autumn)

Elliot and [Reader] would meet in the library/museum, [Reader] donating an artifact or maybe actually looking at a book when Elliot would come up to them, Elliot doesn't come out of his little hut often, and he's not one to shy away from the newer person in town, especially one as interesting as [Reader]

"So you're the one who's been adding these trinkets to our beloved museum, it's very lovely" Elliot comes up next to [Reader] as they're placing an artifact onto the shelves. "I'm glad this area is getting some more decor, it was looking rather…dreary"

Elliot then continues to talk, saying that he's here for some inspiration for his book, and that how hes having trouble coming up with up some ideas.

As they walk around the museum area, Elliot touches and picks up some sort of type of rock/gem and holding it up as he talks about his novel, "I'm afraid I cant find much inspiration nowadays, as soon as I get an idea, it leaves my mind like smoke in the wind-"

Elliot's hand slips and he drops the artifact and looks up at [Reader] in embarrassment "I am…TERRIBLY sorry, I didn't know I had such butterfingers" Elliot and [Reader] quickly pick up the artifact shards before Gunter can see that Elliot broke something

"Lets keep this our little secret, shall we?" Elliot laughs quietly as he and [Reader] leave the library, and even take a stroll around the town to "gather inspiration"

Elliot comes out of his cabin a lot more to visit [Reader] on the farm, or to just see them out and calls them his "partner in crime", since they helped him cover the fact that he dropped an artifact in the museum
