This came around again, but it’s worth sharing and remembering.  You have the right to only accept certain words be used to describe you, but so does everyone else.

I have this bookmarked to through at people who DM me about using the word Queer.

We get to keep the bullets people shoot at us. They’re indented into our bodies. They’ve left us so many scars. They’re a part of our stories now, just like our birthmarks. And goddamn it, if I want to hang a bullet that was dented by my own flesh and blood from a string and call it a necklace, that’s my fucking business and nobody else’s.
