Reading: I haven't started any book in a week (still processing the idiot) but I've been reading some jstor articles these days. Im also planning to start brave new world like tomorrow

Last Series Watched: like fully watched? i dont know... Im more than half way through steven universe rewatch tho (after like 13 years??) and it's honestly amazing. Insane how good the relationships between characters are written and the characters themselves too

Film: watched the newest spiderman movie in the movie theater. Im not really a fan of superhero stuff but overall it was watchable

Song: stvaran svet oko mene by ekv got stuck in my head a few days ago and i cant get it out... Also visita and intruso by enjambre

Sweet or Salty: probably both? I think that my liking of food isnt really based on its sweet or salty qualities. But sugary stuff makes my teeth hurt sometimes so maybe salty

Coffee or Tea: tea (imagine this was said with barely contained excitement)

Working on: an animatic, crocheting a blanket (ts has been going on for too long) and conceptualizing some character designs

Last series watched: TECHNICALLY I was watching subparse last night, but the last series I actually sat down for was 2kawaii4comfort

Film: god I adore jojo rabbit!!! I understand whyyyy it may seem a bit concerning because it’s about a German kid in the 1930/40s, but it’s shows why it’s BAD to indoctrinate children into a war mentality

I think cis women should be allowed to get top surgery even if its not for a medical reason like breast reduction or cancer. I think they should be able to get it even if they're completely cisgender. Some women are just sick of dealing with them and would be much much happier never needing to wear a bra again

I see lots of positivity for people who had to drop out of higher education for one reason or another. But so little for friends who are unable to have a high school diploma, or GED! (Or whatever your area's equivalent may be)

So shoutout to those who were unable to complete the "basic" education, you are important and loved and your level of education should not dictate that!

4. who is a role model in your life, real or fictional?

Okay to answer this question I gotta provide some context- So, story time!

At my high school we had three band directors, all of whom I got to know pretty well. One of them - let's call him Mr. S - was an especially large inspiration for me. He taught percussion students mostly, and also taught the jazz band and music theory class I was in. Mr. S also ran the winter indoor drumline program. A lot of what I learned from him came from my participation in the drumline.

Mr. S was the type of person to be straightforward to the point of brutal honesty, and always always always demanded more from his students. That snare lick that's already pretty clean? make it cleaner, more musical. That choreo in page 10 we learned yesterday? here's more additions, make it more expressive. Played a chunk 10 times already? do it 50 more times. There have been times where he's given us a piece of his mind and it genuinely hurt to hear. But! It motivated me to be better. Always. Needless to say, he taught me to set high expectations for myself.

And i'll be honest, he TERRIFIED me for a while, especially as a wee freshman who had nothing to do with percussion (cough cough i play trombone cough). But once I got to know him, he hands-down became one of my favorite teachers I've had the honor of having. He seems really mean (and can be lmao) on the outside, but he's really just a down-to-earth honest guy, and I really admire to that. Part of the reason I want to be a music teacher is because of him - I want to leave that kind of impact on my future students.

ANYWAYS. That guy. Mr. S. He's my role-model, 100 percent.
