There was a moment of shock. Kadota froze at the childish words that were spouted off by the raven. This caught him off guard, considering he isn’t use to such things coming from the other. 

He finally decided to turn around to face him. What could he possibly want by saying that? Did he want to punch him? All he has to do is ask if he really wants something. Half the time the brunette doesn’t mind giving it to him as long as he asks nicely. Earthy eyes scanned the pale face in front of him. He growled slightly, feeling a little impatient with the other. 

“I’m pretty sure I’ve been made aware of that more times then I’d like. Besides, if you want something then just ask. You know beating around the bush with me doesn’t work.” He grumbles, slightly lecturing the other. 

He kept his eyes on the infobroker for a little while longer, still trying to read him. It took him a while to figure it out but he thought that, maybe the other wanted a kiss? If that’s all he wanted he could’ve just taken one. 

“Hm. Come here.” With ease, he picked up the smaller male and carried him to the couch before sitting down, gently setting Izaya on his lap. Draping his arms around the small waist, he planted a light kiss on his lips only to leave them for a few seconds before pulling away. 

“Feel a bit better?” A small smirk played on his lips, hopefully teasing the other a bit. He couldn’t help but hug the other male in this situation. It was nice. Holding someone so close like this. He closed his eyes in hopes his attempts would help ease the other. Some days it was hard to tell what he wanted and today was one of those days.

8.Is curiosity good or bad thing in your opinion? What makes you curious?

“In all honesty, I don’t necessarily think it’s a bad thing at all. There are situations where it could cause you some trouble if you’re not careful and aware of your situation, but that doesn’t make it bad. People’s curiosity shows their drive to learn new things, both good and bad. So if I had to choose an answer I’d have to say it’s a good thing. We learn through experience and curiosity tends to drive us towards those experiences.”

There was a slight pause as he leaned forward to look at the screen, squinting a bit. 

“What makes me curious? Normally trouble or books. Small things that catch my interest. It could be anything depending on the situation. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t curious about everything. Not everything drives me to cause action though. If I’m up for an adventure I’ll go for it, but I like to stay put most of the time.”

16.Are you more organized or disorganized person? Or maybe you like to plan only certain aspects of your life?

I’d just like to quickly apologize for the unannounced hiatus I’ve had for a while. I’ll be honest, I lost my drive to write Kyohei. I’m slowly getting it back as I continue to learn more about him. 

I appreciate everyone’s support and patience greatly.

 I am now back for a while and am needing to update my time availability seeing how it’s a new quarter with new classes. In an addition to that, my charger for my computer broke so I’ll only be able to do replies after my classes. 

To show my appreciation I will be writing little drabbles for Kyohei and a muse of your choice. You can use this as starters or just enjoy the writing. Each of these will be personalized based on the muse’s interaction.

“Oh?”

Had Shizuo been that transparent? The bartender wondered whether a change in demeanour and words had been needed. Not that he was ashamed or anything rather the fake blonde would rather not have this information reaching Izaya’s ears and creating problems.

The lips on his face twitched at the ballsy idea Kadota had, laughing slightly and shaking his head. Who knew that this of all things was going to happen? Frankly, things were going to become interesting. “You have a point there,” Shizuo agreed and gave him a wolfish smirk. “Fine. I accept your offer on a date. Just make sure you don’t disappoint me, got that?”

For Kyohei a while is anywhere from five to eight years. It was a build up of little things like speech patterns, occasional ‘fake’ flirting and small looks. Only recently it became more apparent, which was nice because it helped him to take the plunge to ask him out. The brunette never usually disclosed personal information unless someone was in danger. 

The small movements made the smaller male’s flutter a bit, curious as to what the other was thinking. Disappoint him, huh? Well he was planning something a bit fancy. A fancy dinner and dessert, a walk around the beautifully lit town and probably take him out for a dance a little bit after that depending on how they were both feeling. He’s walk him home, naturally. Kadota wasn’t exactly sure what he’s expecting but the whole point is to get to know each other a little better. He could only pray he’d enjoy himself. 

“I…!”

The panic that installed in his heart immediately sunk away at Kyohei’s embrace. Masaomi wasn’t exactly the anxious type, and a caring touch was all he needed at the moment… because the man didn’t run away. He was so glad amidst all his confusion. So glad his small hands gripped at the older’s back, not letting go of his embrace.

“… I’m sorry…” He muttered softly. “I’m probably the luckiest guy ever. I just beat all of Kadota-san’s admirors and—-”

He blinked, looking at his friend with a newfound clarity in his eyes.

“… you really mean it..? That I can still sneak under your jacket and read manga with you?” His face leaned down, burying itself into the leader’s shoulder. “… I’m so relieved… seems like lately… I lose a whole bunch of friends for the same reason……… I just want everyone to be happy and share sushis the whole bunch of us… what am I doing wrong? I feel like I… this must be all my fault, somehow…”

He took a step back, breaking the hug and taking a deep breath to clear his head.

“Thank you, Kadota-san.”

Admirers? Of course that would make him freak out a bit. Now that he’s thinking about it, Masaomi must have a lot of admirers as well. He probably gets confessions like this often. It’s almost like... Kyohei’s just adding to his pile of stress. Maybe it would’ve been better if he didn’t say anything... He wasn’t quite paying attention to his facial expressions due to thinking and listening to the small blonde. 

“I mean it. And I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. You’re going to have to try if you want to get rid of me.” He smiled softly, hoping that what he was saying was comforting the other.

“Don’t try to make people happy. Be honest with them. If you’re feeling overwhelmed then say so. If people can’t accept your true feelings then they aren’t your real friends. It’s never just one person’s fault. It takes two to have a misunderstanding.” Earthy eyes looked up at him before he use his thumb to wipe away a tear that had fallen down to his cheek. “Your thoughts, feelings and actions are important, don’t ever let anyone make you feel like they aren’t.” 

He waved a hand in a dismissive manner. “It’s just a cat, so don’t worry. Not like I never had company of one before.” To him, they were easier than dogs. Not like he ever had a dog personally. Izaya focused on the cat when she jumped up onto the bed with him and remained still. He was patient to see if she gets distracted by something else or interact with him. When she rubbed up against him, he grinned in amusement. He granted her wish as he placed his hand on top of her feline head, fingertips scratching against the back of the ears.

He turned his gaze towards Kyohei and shook his head slightly. He had to play the part after all, at least for awhile. “The painkillers are in the med-kit in the bathroom’s supply closet.” He looked over and gestured to the door nearby that lead to a master bathroom. He glanced at Olive and a chuckle passes his lips. “Nothing wrong with that.~”

Kyohei left the room to follow the other’s instructions. The sudden movement caught Olive’s attention, causing her to crawl towards the edge of the bed before letting a small ‘mrow’. Despite liking most people, she didn’t like to be left alone with strangers for too long. This only made the brunette move quicker and came back in a matter of minutes with medicine and a glass of water in hand.

“Calm down, it was just a few minutes.” He spoke patiently as he walked to Izaya’s side, handing him two tablets and the water. The feline stepped on the raven to get to her adopted dad, letting out a couple more louder meows. Gently, Kadota picked her up and held her close. She nuzzled his chest, purring, easing her anxiety. 

Kadota smiled shyly for a moment. He was completely overjoyed! Honestly, could this day get any better? What would they do exactly? It was that time of year so Ikebukuro was decorated beautifully with lights and other decor. Ah, he was getting carried away. They’ll plan it all later.
