I donāt think healthy people every really get chronic illness.
I have a friend I know from when we were both 6. She is the only person living nearby and so she saw me go from walking through limping to wheelchair on a daily basis. I keep her updated on my health even tho we rarely hang out anymore. She was gonna come over yesterday and I had to cancel. She asked if I canāt hang out later that day. When I said i wonāt feel better later, that if I feel that bad in the morning later will only get worse she got annoyed and ājokedā that Iām just finding excuses. And I was surprised, she knows all about me being disabled after all? So, a bit taken aback, I told her itās a normal thing for me.
āBut you got the diagnosis now, arenāt you better?? I thought youāll get better nowā
She was honestly surprised and it made me realize a thing. They donāt get it. They donāt get that getting diagnosed only equals benefits like welfare or parking spot for us, and sometimes better pain meds but that is just like pushing luck. That itās a forever thing. That that one day we felt good a week ago was just a bright spot and doesnāt mean we wonāt need our aids anymore, cause chronic illness is not linear and will make a great comeback in next four hours, and the next good day is planned on when weāre 70. Cause when abled people are sick, they get better. And our illness is just an excuse for them. And when we say we will never get better they think weāre being dramatic and pessimistic. And I donāt think theyāll ever get it, cause to get it you need to live it. And I want my friends to stay healthy and not go through hell.
ok literally if movie hiccup heard how old book hiccup is heād be HORRIFIED.
like (movie hiccup voice) excuse me what he was nearly swallowed whole by a HUGE dragon when he was ten? he was nearly eaten by dangerous dragons, other people, and stung by a very poisonous dragon & nearly died a slow and painful death in the same year and he was eleven? HE WAS EXILED AND WANTED DEAD BY THE WHOLE ARCHIPELAGO AND THEN BECAME KING WHEN HE FOURTEEN??? EXCUSE ME????
I love how the HTTYD books include Hiccup being branded as a slave and forced to go into hiding, Camicazi being kidnapped and imprisoned in a tree trunk, Fishlegs being enslaved and almost eaten by a monster, Hiccup the Second being stabbed to death by his own father, Hiccup being literally tortured, Snotlout DYING (not to mention the deaths of hundreds of humans and dragons), Valhallarama dying in battle, and all the dragons disappearing from the Archipelago forever, and the ONE THING the fandom decides to riot about is Hiccup losing his toe.

my feelings on reading the how to train your dragon books for the first time can be summed up as:
1-4: Cute. Too much toilet humor for my taste, sort of childish. A fast read that Iām only doing b/c a friend asked me to.
5-7: Huh, this is getting pretty interesting, and sort of epic. Hiccupās a cool protagonist. Iām really starting to enjoy these.
8: OKAY THAT SCENE IN THE TREE GOD OH MY FUCKIN AND HE ESCAPES AND THE PROPHECY GOD AND THE DRAGON THIS IS GOING TO BE SO GOOD I AM SO INVESTED.
9-12: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON THE BOOK SERIES IS A MODERN CLASSIC AND SO GOOD THAT I HAVE LITERALLY SQUEALED READING IT, THE OVERARCHING PLOT OF THE LAST FOUR BOOKS IS EPIC AND THE ENTIRETY OF THE FIRST HALF OF BOOK 12 IS THE REASON WHY HICCUP IS THE BEST CHILD PROTAGONIST OF ALL TIME, IN THIS ESSAY I WILL
Book! Hiccup and Movie! Hiccup are not so differentā¦
Just something that Iāve noticedā¦
The Hiccup we see in HTTYD is based off of Hiccup the First. He found an injured dragon and helped it despite the fact that dragons and Vikings were enemies. He was the first to ride on dragonback, first to gain a dragonās trust. (Iām going by the first film not the second here).
The Hiccup we see in HTTYD2 is based off of Hiccup the Second. After a trying relationship with his father, he attempts to prove that dragons and humans can live together in harmony. But this has tragic consequences. Arguably, the dragon Furious couldāve killed Grimbeard the Ghastly in a similar way to how Toothless killed Stoick. Yet the book leaves the son dead, and the film the father. Either way, Hiccupās attempts at cohabitation result in tragedy and the end of an era.
The Hiccup we see in The Hidden World is undeniably Hiccup the Third, who is forced to accept that maybe the world isnāt ready for dragons, and that it might not ever be ready. The realisation that he has to grow up and then let the dragons go dawns on Hiccup throughout the last few books and the last film.
Book!Hiccup (1, 2 and 3) and Movie!Hiccup are the reason that dragons peacefully entered the lives of Vikings, and they are the reason they left.
I thought that these were some nice, thoughtful parallels between Cressida and Deanās stories. And that basically Movie!Hiccup is all three Hiccups compressed into one.

Air Moons & Emotion āļøāļøāļøš
From a young age, air moons are taught their emotions are worthless. Whether it be by firsthand experience or people coming right out and saying it, air moons constantly have their feelings invalidated. This happens several times in youth so eventually when they grow up, they can no longer express their emotions in a healthy way.
*āair moonsā will be abbreviated to AMās
Examples of behavior in childhood:
-people laugh at AMās frustration
-AMās ridiculed for expressing their identity through clothes, hair, personality, etc
-AMās given harsh criticisms
-AMās called overdramatic or told they are overreacting when they were not
-AMās manipulated into thinking they do not have a right to be upset
-AMās humiliated for having feelings whether it be having a crush, or being excited about their hobbies, etc
-AMās laughed at for being logical
-AMās called cold or heartless
-AMās yelled at for disagreeing with otherās opinions
-AMās told what to think and how to act
-AMās secrets shared without their permission
-AMās punished or blamed for what someone else has done
-AMās berated for not having proper mannerās
-AMās told they are selfish
-AMās forgotten or left out
The above behaviors destroy Air moonās ability to process their feelings. Air moonās grow up thinking their emotions do not serve them any purpose, and so they try to cast them away. They learn that emotions only cause them humiliation from others, make them seem weak, and cloud their judgement. The sad part is when they grow up, people will then make fun of Air moonās for ānot having feelingsā even though they are the reason for the repression in the first place. People get used to Air moonās having little emotional outbursts and so when an Air moon does become upset, peopleās first reaction is to say āthis isnāt like you, itās not that big a deal, stop overreacting.ā But this is detrimental to Air moonās conscious. After such an incident, the Air moon will try even harder to hide and destroy every emotion they have. They will try to never let you see that side of them again. Holding in such feelings is exhausting and harmful to the Air moon. They must learn how do undo the damage done in early childhood. They must stop overanalyzing their thoughts and actions. They must learn to stop saying āI do not have a right to feel this way and so I will make myself no longer feel this wayā and start accepting their feelings for what they are. It is ok to be angry, to be upset, to be confused. Air moons must learn that emotions do not make one weak.

Me Irl: Hey guys letās actually not talk about gender politics right now.
Hey um, would you mind, I would appreciate if you didnāt use my birth name
Hey Iām sorry I keep bugging you but can you use them-they and not call me āitā
Iām non binary but itās chill, like itās nothing
Me online: SUP FELLOW QUEERS!
THE BINARY CAN SUCK MY DICK!
Homophobes can kiss my glittery non-gender-conforming ass!
I am a loud, proud nonbinary pal!
The non binary/ftm struggle for us curvy folk;
Oh-oh, my hips donāt lie. Iām just trying to pass tonight
Can I just talk about something that touched my heart so warmly?
Gender neutral or non binary people have never gotten enough recognition in media to the point where itās hard to even know they exist. Growing up I struggled to see myself fit anywhere at all, when discovering the fact that thereās more to me than what meets the eye, I struggled to place myself anywhere. I only knew what trans was and what cis was. But I knew I wasnāt either. Iād cry for days thinking thereās something wrong with me, if I thought I was trans Iād still come back to my biological gender sometimes and bully myself, telling myself āyouāre so fake! You think youāre trans?! Then why do you shift back? Faker!ā But when classifying myself as cis, Iād never always feel that way. Eventually, the little me hated myself for not finding the āissueā with me, wanting to tear my body apart.
It took me years to find myself a place I finally got to KNOW about, I understood that itās OKAY to feel like both or neither. I studied that being gender fluid is a thing.
But not many do so.
When I saw Yoongi talk about Mangās gender, I felt like I deserved something, as if Iām valid to someone elseās eyes. I felt so complete and loved.
Itās just these little things that we need sometimes, I never had an icon to look up to and believe in myself with the help of, and now seeing just a made up character by seven boys feels like everything to me.
This animation of a few seconds describes so much of my feelings so perfectly. And no one can understand how much this means to not just myself but so many non binary people out here.
So Iād like to say thank you, to these boys, for a thousand reasons.
one of my friends is a very pregnant dog and like 3 times a day i say to herĀ āhello! you are full of several other smaller dogs!ā and she wags her entire body at me likeĀ āitās true!!! i contain multitudesā
i love that ur friend isĀ the pregnant dog. what a nice friend to have.
ya sheās my buddy i love her!
update: there were five (5) smaller dogs inside my dog friend, but now they are all outside of her instead (!!)Ā
GREAT UPDATE NOW YOU HAVE SIX FRIENDS!!!
ya theyāre my buddies i love them!!!!!
i found my new favorite post on this websiteĀ
I. FINALLY. PAINTED. ALL. SIGNS.Ā
Iāve been painting all these since April I believe and Iāve gone through so fucking much that I canāt believe the collection is done! Iām so happy!!! I made a huge effort believe me ugh!

Been thinking about Aliens recently
āNon traditionalā reasons to use/get into astrology!āØ
Hi babes! So this is just a little fun post I thought I would throw out there. I hope someone takes something from this post & maybe even uses it to rethink on what astrology means to you and how it benefits you (which honestly is really important to do!). All of these things are personal to me & what Iāve experienced.
1. It helps to understand the concept of universal energy & connection so much better! Iāve always been a big believer in energy but getting into astrology helps see just how much weāre influenced & connected by universal energy & the universe in general. When you see your birthchart and keep track of moon phases, transit, retrogrades, etc. you reallyyy start to see how connected we are and personally that even gives me a better understanding of how the world works & just how powerful it is.
2. It can help be a healing tool to discover the parts of yourself that may need to be worked on. Okay so hear me out: Iām not saying use your birthchart as a reason to ditch a therapist (like seriously if you need help pls get itš¤) but what I am saying is if youāre looking to really do some self digging, astrology is a good tool to use. By seeing what ānegativesā you manifest from your placements it can help pinpoint what you can work on & understanding your moon and things like that can help show you how to best work & comfort yourself to be your best self. Iād say a good 90% of the time people get into astrology for fun because theyāre interested in being told about their personality so use it to understand the good & the ābad!ā The key to soul evolution can be told in the stars babe.
3. It will honestly give you a whole new appreciation for the universe. This kind of goes with point #1 because the more you start seeing how everything connects, then the more you start to really appreciate the world around you. Itās like that feeling you got as a kid when magic was real (which it totally is btw) because everything just feels so whole and it really is magical. Thereās no other word for it. Just magical. Suddenly itās like youāre finally getting the glasses youāve needed for a long time and everything seems so clear and just makes so much more sense.
4. You start seeing people in a whole new light. Astrology is honestly like soul psychology. I feel like I should put a disclaimer here: people are NOT their placements!! & that is totally not what Iām saying. So basically what I mean by you see people in a new light is that you see a different way of interpretation and meaning in humanity. People are so complicated but at the end of the day, astrology helps to see that weāve all got things to work on & weāre all on our own journeys. Also the more you dive into peopleās charts that are close to you (& especially get into synastry and stuff) you start to have new ways to understand & help them. Astrology has helped me so much with understanding my interpersonal connections & ive helped people close to me help understand themselves (see #2).
5. It helps so much with your intuition & general feelings/āvibesā you get from people. Maybe itās just me but getting into astrology and learning how each sign/planet/etc āfeelsā intuitively has helped me notice those energies in others. Kind of like applying what youāre taught with real life situations - actually not kind of, itās literally like that lol Itās so much easier to start feeling energies and initial āvibesā and the more you ask, practice, and get into it I feel the more spot on. And I think doing this is a great tool for strengthing intuition and intuitive/psychic ability in general.
This post is getting long so Iām going to conclude here. I might make a pt 2? Idk yet! But anyways, feel free to reblog & add your own experiences because Iād love to hear them.
6. You get a much more profound understanding of cyclical dynamics within both individuals and life in general. Usually this only happens later in your studies, but astrology really shows you that life happens in phases, has repeating patterns, and that everyone goes through similar things. It is so liberating and comforting because you truly see that life isnāt just that way for you - everyone goes through the same life, but it still reminds you that trough this journey that you share with everyone else you and your experiences will still be unique. Itās beautifully paradoxical but so comforting.
7. With that history shines in a whole new light as well. No matter how bad things seem or seemed, you will notice that while bad times happen, good do too and everything serves a purpose in some way. It may sound cruel sometimes but truly nothing will ever not pass and at least for me that really lights a candle in dark times.
8. Thereās an undescribable sense of unity that is absolutely amazing. I think this can has its dark sides too where we escape hard and vulnerable discussions by simply saying things like āIām a Scorpio moon in 12th square Aquarius sun in 4th and thatās why Iām like thatā but other than that at least to me itās really hard to feel like people actually get you when you talk about your struggles, maybe just because we often feel so alone with them and have somewhat egocentric complexes because weāre afraid without them we wonāt be special but hearing people with the same placements as you speak about the same issues and other people with those same placements rejoice over the same blessings, itās just really beautiful. The amount of people I bonded with because we shared the same or similar placements and thus similar experiences is INCREDIBLE and you truly feel more understood than in most other places. Even with people who have completely different placements, everyone comes together to rejoice and complain about certain things and everyone just gets it.
9. Because astrology covers so many, if not potentially all things, I do think it can help you with a lot of other studies. Looking at magic? The stars are ancient and their energies have circulated and created resonance in the universe for millions of year, theyāre like old teachers. Looking at psychology? The whole field of modern natal astrology is basically curated to help you here and show you the subtleties of the human psyche. Looking at history? See #6, astrology has always been amazing at describing cyclical engagements and repeating patterns. And so on, especially with social sciences, astrology offers a threshold of knowledge thatās really to be reckoned with. Iām not lying at all when I say astrology truly helped me understand life as a whole better.
