This is the Luca Haas boyfriends masterpost which I will try my best to keep updated! Basically, this was born out of a desire to find out how many boyfriends we have invented for him.
This is likely not complete, and always a work in progress, as I've mostly based it on the Luca Haas/Original Male Character tag on ao3 but I've noticed a few being tagged different, so if you find any boyfriends not included, slide into my dms or comment on the post with their name, link and description! If your OC is in this list and I've gotten something wrong, please also dm me with how you'd like your boyfriend to be described!
Now, I have not read all of these fics, and this is not a fic rec post. The boyfriends are listed in alphabetical order. This is also not a post or space to critique people's OC's or fics, just to celebrate the hivemind creativity of what a fandom can do with a minor character with what, ten spoken lines? I hope this post inspires everyone to give all these fics and boyfriends some love <3
The criteria for the boyfriends (and non binary partners) of Luca Haas to be included are as follows:
Not a named character from the Game Changers universe (i.e. Young, LaPointe, Cliff, Hollanov, or even Theo the Mascot Guy);
They must interact in the fic at least once OR be a central point of discussion/plot and not be a one off mention;
They must be the main pairing involving Luca (for example, boyfriends he breaks up with to be with hollanov are not included)
Endgame relationships only (not because I don't like slut era Luca, but I am defining boyfriend as a loving, long-term relationship. This also means this list excludes any abusive fuckers who don't deserve the title of boyfriend. This also means some wip fics that are setting someone up to be Luca's boyfriend but it's not established yet might not be in this list just yet!)
They must have a name. I know there are a few fics that are set up for Luca to have an OC boyfriend, but the OC has not been introduced yet; I will add them to the list when they are named!

A 3 Troy Harris Comic: Why does this brooding hockey player keep giving me coffee? Inspired by Role Model by Rachel Reid
Had lots of fun drawing and colouring these hockey boys! Troy and Harris mean a lot to me so it was great to create this comic in their honour! Please look at the backgrounds, I spent like 3 hockey seasons on it.
I think it'd be really funny if Luca had, like, a sort of intimidating boyfriend. Like, a 25 year old tattooed metalhead with a resting bitchface and a krallice shirt. He may or may not pick Luca up from a practice on a motorcycle. The rookies are sort of scared to talk to him. Ilya is fighting the urge to ask him what his intentions are with luca. Harris is the only one who chats with him because a case of RBF has never stopped him before.

Martina was up early, a habit she could never seem to beat after spending over a decade as a flight attendant. It was a rare week where she and her husband both had more than a week off together, and the kids were home from school as well, the summer holidays having just begun. Her husband was snoring on his side of the bed, still out like a light. Other than that, the house was quiet. The girls were still fast asleep, Jessica and her boyfriend having arrived late home last night. Martina smiled to herself, and pulled on a fluffy robe. She slipped her feet into a mismatched pair of slippers, and pulled the duvet straight on the bed before unhurriedly making her way downstairs.
It was nice, having the girls home from university. Jessica wasn't far away, just over in Géneve, but Nicole just started college in America and Sarah attended a specialised boarding school in Austria. At least her boy was still home, living close enough to his pro-sports school to not have to move out, although he had grown into a slightly sulky teenager over the past year of school and hockey. Now that she thought of it, him greeting his sisters was the first time she'd seen him genuinely smile since his team won gold at world juniors months ago.
They worried about their boy, her and Stefan both did. He was sensitive, and kind, and his favourite class in school was art. They both knew that wasn't a great match with hockey culture, Stefan having dabbled when he was Luca's age and before his military service and subsequent pilot career. Luca never talked about his team in detail anymore. Any questions they asked were met with a grunted "fine, thanks" or "yeah, good." Maybe he was just being a cranky teenager, but still, Martina worried there was something more going on.
That feeling only heightened when she found her youngest child curled up around Finke on the couch, hood up and crying quietly into the puppy's fur.
This was not how they left him down here last night. He'd installed himself with a bag of doritos, three fantas and two beers, and the Stanley Cup pre-game analysis chromecasted to the television. Maybe the Admirals hadn't won, but surely that wouldn't warrant this reaction. Luca hadn't cried like this in years, as far as she was aware. Not since their last dog died three years ago, or maybe when he broke his wrist and couldn't compete in worlds.
Finke looked up from his prison in Luca's grip, tail thumping. The dog whined a little, as if begging to be released but unwilling to get up and leave Luca be at the same time. She tutted, abandoning her morning plan of a nice breakfast just for her in favour of sitting down next to lanky lump of misery that was her son.
"Ah, baby, what is wrong?" she asked, gently. She pushed his hair out of his eyes, and he looked up at her with red rimmed eyes. It broke her heart a little to see he'd been crying for a while by himself. When he was little and waking up from a nightmare, he always crawled into bed between them, or with one of his sisters. That was a long time ago, but she still hoped he knew he could come to her with anything.
"Mami," he croaked, voice hoarse and he finally let go of Finke. The dog made a quick escape, jumping down from the couch and stretching out, though she lingered around the couch. Luca lunged forward, throwing himself into her arms.
"Lucki, hey, shh, it's okay," she hushed, rubbing his back as he sobbed into her shoulder. She still had no idea what the matter was, but she could find that out later. First, he needed to calm down, and judging by the way he was clinging to her like she might disappear, they could be here for a while.
"Mami, have you seen my-" Sarah came bounding downstairs right when Luca's sobs were calming a little. Her youngest daughter tilted her head as she took in the scene in front of her. "What's wrong with Luca?"
Martina just shook her head, and waved her off. Sarah, for once, seemed to realise something was wrong, and miraculously backed off, luring Finke with her with the promise of a walk.
Truly alone now, Luca sniffled and pulled back a little. He wiped at his eyes with the sleeves of his Boston Raiders hoodie.
"I'm sorry," he said, voice still rough. Martina shook her head- none of that.
"Never apologise for tears," she said, simply reaching over to grab the box of tissues that sat near her husband's designated spot on the couch during spring and summer. Luca nodded, but still refused to meet her eyes. She kept a hand on his arm, rubbing it gently.
"So, what is the problem? Then we can see how we can fix it," she said. Surely, after coaching three daughters through puberty, she could do the same for her son. Surely boy problems couldn't be worse than girl problems, though her girls usually at least talked/yelled about their problems.
Luca's lower lip wobbled, and he just handed her his iPhone. It was low on charge, but still open on a YouTube video. He unplugged his headphones and pressed play, leaning against her side as the video began to play.
The Admirals had won, it seemed. She was about to congratulate, when Luca pressed the forward button a few times and one of the players was skating out to the stands, helping a man onto the ice. None of this explained why her son had been bawling his eyes out, until- Ah.
Her eyebrows shot up in shock and surprise when this player kissed the other man, and not in a friendly manner either. They were really going at it, and Martina lowered the phone. Luca was watching her, chewing nervously on his lower lip and hands hidden in the sleeves of his hoodie. He looked so young, sitting there, watching to see how she reacted to this video.
"That is very brave of him," she said after a while, "Is he the first?"
Luca nodded, wiping at his eyes again. It all slowly started to make sense to Martina. It might have been seven in the morning, but she could still put one and one together. Still, she wanted him to be able to tell her, to put in words what was going on.
"I- mami, I think I'm like him." Luca's voice was barely above a whisper, and Martina's heart broke all over again. She pulled him into her arms again, a tight embrace. He clung back, though he wasn't crying anymore.
"Oh, mein Süße..." She rocked him gently like he was still five years old, pressing a soft kiss to the side of his head. He didn't protest or pull back, all semblance of the grumpy teenager gone for the moment. "I love you, always, and so does your dad, and your sisters," she whispered against his ear, and she felt him nod.
"I know, but I'm still really scared, mami." His voice was muffled against her morning robe. "I- I thought being gay wasn't allowed, or nobody was ever going to be, and I would have to hide forever if I get drafted next year and I-"
He took a deep, shuddering breath, and Martina just held him tighter. What else could she do? This wasn't her first rodeo, though Nicole coming out had been a lot less dramatic. Her girlfriend, who also played on her hockey team, had simply shown up to get ready for a school dance. She and Stefan had been caught off guard by that one, though in hindsight it was all a little obvious.
Luca, though, surprised her far less. Not because he was a sensitive boy who liked to draw, or because he never had girlfriends. More so because he never seemed to genuinely like the girlfriends he did bring home, and there was that gigantic poster of a Boston player above his bed that Martina knew very well had a reverse side where he was wearing far fewer clothes. Again, she wasn't stupid, and she knew Luca was turning that poster over. She and Stefan also did his laundry.
"And Scott Hunter is gay, and there were scouts at our last practice, and I... Do you know Christian?" He looked even more miserable now, as Martina tried to remember if she knew a Christian. A boy came to mind, a school friend of Luca who had come around a few times. Tall, though not as tall as Luca, played football if she recalled correctly. She relayed this, and Luca nodded.
"He broke up with me because I was too scared to go to the cinema with him," Luca admitted, his lower lip trembling dangerously again, "And I thought I was just scared 'cause of hockey, but now I'm- I think I'm maybe just a coward, mami, and I'm going to be alone forever."
He dissolved into sobs again, and okay, there was her dramatic hormonal teenager again. She bit back a smile as she patted her son's back while he cried against her shoulder.
"Luca, you're not cowardly," she said once he'd calmed down a little, tilting his chin up to force him to look at her, "You're not. Do you think this Scott Hunter was not scared before he did that?" Luca shook his head, swallowing thickly. "And you're not going to be alone forever," she continued, "A boy will come along and knock you off your feet, I promise."
"How do you know?"
She clacked her tongue, and booped his nose. His face scrunched up in that same way it had done since he was a baby.
"I am your mother, mothers know these things," she said, confidently, "Now, forget Christian. If he didn't want to wait until you were ready, he's not worth these tears. I think we need to have a celebration. This is a big day for hockey! For you!"
Luca smiled weakly, glancing at his phone, the video paused on Scott Hunter and his boyfriend mid makeout.
"I want to tell dad," he said, exhaling heavily. His shoulders sagged a little. Martina felt pride bloom in her chest, and clapped her hands together before she stood up.
"Well, you go get cleaned up, and I'll go wake him," she said, "And your sisters too, we'll make a big gay breakfast together and eat it out in the garden, and you can tell him however you want. How does that sound?"
Luca nodded, not even rolling his eyes at her 'gay breakfast' suggestion. It worked to lighten the mood, though, and he unfolded himself from the couch with a stretch and a pop of his neck. He did really look rough, but nothing a cold shower and shampoo couldn't fix. After a moment of hesitation, Luca tracked back from the direction of the bathroom. Martina wasn't sure what she had expected, but it wasn't all 184 centimeters of her son to give her a short hug.
"I love you, mami," he said, and now Martina was the one biting back a lump forming in her throat. She had to be strong for her boy right now. Luca thundered up the stairs to the bathroom, evidently feeling much more like himself already. Martina smoothed out her robe, now slightly damp from tears.
Well then. This wasn't how she'd envisioned her quiet morning to go. But then again, when had anything in the Haas family ever gone according to plan? For now, she had a husband, daughters, and son-in-law to wake up, and a celebratory coming out breakfast to make.
Hashtag my luca came out to his parents when they found him weeping at the scott hunter cup kiss and this is also when they find out his boyfriend of two whole months (a lifetime when you're 16) just broke up with him because luca was too scared to go to the cinema together

Hello HR hivemind!! I am writing a fic and in my mind the OC I made up is of Canadian Indigenous decent (on his mother's side). This hasn't come up much yet, but I want to include it more down the line specifically in regards to the art he makes. I am however a little bit lost trying to research the different indigenous/first nations cultures and peoples of Canada and would love if anyone has any good recommendations for stuff to read up on, or if there are any Canadian Indigenous people up for a chat and to give some advice!!
