Supergirl was "girl power" written right.

It wasn't just "women can be strong too". It was:

1. Women are strong

2. Women are HERE

The scene when Ruthye was doing the best she could fighting along side supergirl, helping or not, she is ALIVE, she is THERE, and she is kicking ass with a women who sees her as an equal.

AND she was doing that the entire time. I didn't care for her "mysterious ability to jump into vents" or her sort of suprising skills in using a sword in a real fight. She was taking control of her own destiny the entire time. Her not being a damsel in distress (except at the times when she reasonably was) wasn't a gotcha. She is REAL and REAL people, REAL girls and women make up their own minds. They do their best to kick ass fighting their own battles. And SOMETIMES, when they're respected, they'll even take you up on kicking ass with them.

i saw supergirl. i think female actresses should be allowed to throw male movie reviewers from rooftops. i think the movie was about as good as the first two tom holland spiderman movies if not better.
