Hearing the sound of the otherâs girl made Melody smile. It was weird, though. When theyâd met, the twenty-four year old had automatically she wouldnât have liked the other. Thatâs what had happened her whole life, wasnât it? But theyâd gotten along really well (from Melodyâs perspective, anyway). She hoped it would last, but the whole fact that this going differently than according to âplanâ made her nervous. âThatâd be awesome!â Melody laughs in return. âLook at us, making strides with our friendship.â The girl walks in, leaning against the back of the couch casually with a smile on her face and arms crossed. âWhat have you been up to this morning? Iâm super bored, you should entertain me,â she jokes.
Paiton laughed. âOh yes, whatâs next a whole marathon?â She joked back. She looked up a Melody with a half hearted smile. âCry-- making an Acai bowl.â Paiton joked awkwardly. She was still not entirely doing alright but she didnât want the sympathy. She didnât even want to talk about it but she could never convincingly lie that she was fine. âWhat about you?â
