Feels weird, I should be remembering something important
Am I floating? I'm underwater..?
The voices crashed in like a hurricane.
Gotta get up, have to swim out of this
He couldn't move when his body was on fire, stitching itself back together.
The voices screamed and pounded against his skull, something was tugging him up. His ears rung.
He coughed and gasped once he got out, something was supporting him. "Robin, thank goodness, I got you kid. Let it all out I'm right here"
Robin threw up the Lazarus Pit's water and his stomach recoiled. "It's okay, take your time. Taking a dip in the freezing water during a snowstorm isn't exactly ideal" Robin whined and let most of his weight exhaust on the support.
"Hey now, you coming back to Earth? You gotta be freezing, there's a safehouse a few blocks down South. Lean on me, I'll get you there"
The walk over was a blur, his vision was in and out and the support was muffled whenever it spoke.
"Here we are, easy does it baby bat"
Robin was inexplicably hot, even though his body was wracked with shivers.
"Give me your feet, I gotta get you out of these clothes"
"No, not the Lazarus Pit. Just cold Gotham water"
Robin tensed up as his head spun. "Steady now, don't want you passing out. I had to swim you out of there. You weren't even moving"
"No. No Lazarus, no League of Assassins and no Nanda Parbat. We're just in Gotham, me and you are in this safehouse"
"Jason. It's just me, come on, let's get you out of this uniform."
"A couple feet from the building, you freaked out as soon as I got there. I thought you would've gotten yourself out, no matter. I'm here for you."
Robin's head is pounding. The voices are swirling, and he feels like it's a lie that he wasn't just in the Lazarus Pit. He can feel as if his body is forcing itself to mend. "My body hurts. It feels like it's on fire." "That's what happens when you plummet into cold water."
A warm feeling overtakes Damian as his mask is basically peeled off, and he can feel the outline of the cold water on his skin. "Tt." Damian takes off his gloves, and he shivers as his skin hits the cold and hot air. How is it hot and cold at the same time? It is beyond Damian now. Damian leans his head back as Jason helps take off his uniform and puts him in some regular clothes. "Thank you, Jason."
"Try not to make "swimming in cold water" a normal thing."
"No way, it wasn't some fun trip, zero stars."
"Heh, yeah let's get you fully warmed up and then we can head home soon."
