Sorry, I just couldn’t resist making a fan art of Transformers Animated: Mirror, Mirror Issue #2. I still haven’t read it, but I hope to get a copy and read it as soon as I can. Here’s how I imagine Optimus saying goodbye to his team, along with a heroic version of Blackarachnia. 😊

Megatron obsesses over Optimus/Orion because he sees him as a symbol of life (THE MATRIX IS LITERALLY A SOURCE OF LIFE SINCE ITS A CONDUIT TO PRIMUS). He sees him as someone who gives HIM life.

I just really like the trope where when one side of a “rivalry” disappear, the other person becomes a husk of their former self. Like how their presence is a driving force that either betters them or makes them worse.

So I did a incorrect quote about this group so its about time I dive DEEP into it.

The Sheild of Solus Prime is all-female group that protects Cybertron. It was first created by Solus Prime herself as aids and warriors for Cybertron. They vanished during Cybertron's golden age, but was brought back by Elita One.

It was made as a special faction for Guerrila warfare, organized by Elita One herself with Optimus Prime's acceptance. They were made to handle missions alongside Special Operations.

In most continuities I shove this headcanon in, so I will use the Transformers Prime (At least my AU) version just to keep it simple.

Elita-One (Leader) "I'll take them on, Elita-One knows no fear."

Chromia (2nd In Command, Weapons expert/Smith) "Stick with me, I shall be your sheild!"

Lifeline (Medic, Tactician) "I diagnose you with a swift end, no one goes down on my watch."

Moonracer (Sharpshooter,Demolitionist) "Underestimate me? That's your last mistake!!"

Windblade (Swordfemme, Scout) "I protect those all closet to me."

Arcee (Stealth) "Need backup?"

There are and can be more femmes, but I dont got an enough read on them to do them justice.

In order to become a Sister of Solus, each femme must complete 6 trials in order to be considered.

These trails are, In no particular order....

Trial of Creation- An Integral part of the Sheild of Solus, for the Participant to make a personal tool, yet cannot be made of mass destruction or torture. In honor of the Prime of Creation. Its purpose is to teach them how every tool is made for a purpose, and it is the hands of the wielder on what the tool is truly capable of.

Lifeline runs this trial, who created a grappling hook which also acts as a defibliator built into her arms, called her Electro-Grip. She made it as a way to assist her in medical work along with needing to get her comrades out of there. She was a neutral Medic back on Vaporex with once Conjunx Nickel, doing her best to help the injured regardless of faction. Due to a betrayal, the Decepticons destroyed her hospital and left her to rot. She was soon found by the Autobots and became a Sister of Solus. She created the Electro-Grip as a way to honor those to she couldn't rescue from that attack.

Trial of Loyalty- Arcee runs this trial, a run of stealth. She and the participant go through a mock trial of delivering a special "package" to a location. In thus, Arcee get herself "captured" by the so called enemy of thr trial. The Participant is forced to either leave her behind or try to help, allowed to any type of tactic in order to complete the mission. If Participant chooses to "save" Arcee and manages to complete the mission, the trial is passed..

Arcee was an orphan back on Cybertron, a youngling affected by the Decepticon-Autobot war. She was taken in by Ironhide after his team managed to save a school she was going to. She trains under the art of Stealth underneath Jazz beside others. There she was taught everything she knows, becoming one of the best Operatives with the Autobot Spec Ops.

Of course, we know her story in TF PRIME.

Trial Of Passion- This one as a trial of Combat, Chromia fighting the participant herself with her Plasma-Axe. She pushes the participant to their limit, shouting while asking "What is the reason of why you fight??? What drives you??" In this way, she makes the opponent focus on their drive, a selfless action that makes them want to fight. Selfish or violent drives bore her, the light blue femme deeming those weak or unsustainable.

Chromia was once a low-class bot back on Cadimus, fighting in underground rings for Shanix since she was a youngling. She was undefeated until she was almost killed by Pre-Decepticon Tarn. Before she was killed, Ironhide (who was a cop at the time) busted the ring with his squad and arrested everyone in the room. She was given a second chance by the mech, getting herself cleaned up and began forming a bond with him. Also introduced him to Elita who became her bestest friend/sister. When she learned that he was planning to join the Autobots, she immediately signed up after. She wanted to repay the kindess she was given, wanting to fight in sake of love and wanting to protect what was now important to her.

Trial of Wills-Moonracer runs this trial, it being a race. She and participant race across a selected track Moonracer picked, carrying a selection of weapons and equipment. The Participant races them through a variety of obstacles, being told it was to beat her. However, Moonracer was always seen looking always ahead. That makes the Participant push themselves harder and harder. Even at their limits, the light green femme still wins. However, winning wasnt the true victory. Moonracer was watching the whole time, seeing the Participant pushing themselves through it all, know if they do it here, that could do it through real missions.

She lived as a high-sparked femme back on Velocitron, her Mech- and Femme- Creators in high positions yet rarely had time for her. She was pushed aside, not being seen except for her speed. The only one in her group was her Non-Velocitron butler, Xero. He was the Mech-Creator to her when her Sire wasnt around, encouraging her to follow her true calling even though she didnt know what it was at the time.

However, her life changed after a break-in when some Decepticons came in to steal some blueprints. Xero hid his charge well and went to deal with the assialants, but was badly injured, Moonracer witnessing it. In a fit of rage and grief, she took uo her Carrier's old sniper rifle and shot down the Decepticons from afar. She called the authorities, but didnt come in time as she sat and watched Xero's spark go out. Her creators tried to help her move on from the incident, but Moonracer let herself sit back and forget, not she now relaized there were others like Xero that could be in danger. So she left home and went to try out for the Autobot Training Program, working to become a sniper. She pushed herself to her limits, refusing to give up when her frame tried to give out at times. Elita recognised that Moonracer's want to help and strong will made the young femme stand out. So she offered her a Chance to become a Shield. Moonracer took it without a second thought.

Trial of the Divine- This one is less of a physical trial and more of a spirital judgment. Windblade takes the participant to long dormant Forge of Solus Prime, its half made creations laying everywhere and its anvil cold. There the Participant places the hand on the anvil, where their conciousness is connected to the Prime of Creation herself, Solus Prime. There, Solus can either pass or reject the participant, acting as the final judge before the Final Trial. If accepted, the Primeling establishes her blessing onto the tool the participant created, granting it her power along with an upgrade.

This is Windblade's domain, giving her psychic abilities as she was once was the Cityspeaker or Cadimus, being able to tap into well of the AllSparks. The Prime of Creation could see her pure spark and spared her from the destruction of her home with Chromia's assistance. She acts as a Priestess to the Forge, being the one to take the participant to Solus Prime's sacred Forge herself. It is instructed to not speak of the location of the Forge unless with other members.

Trial of Remembrance- This one is a talk with the Leader, the highest/ hardest trial to complete. She asks why the participant is choosing to become a Sheild of Solus, the truth showing. She creates an illusion based on their mind, showing their biggest doubts and forcing the other to face the challenges that plagues them internally.

Elita-One holds this trial with a iron servo, as well as being one to weild the Hammer of Solus herself. Her very frame was reshaped by an Oath she took when she took up being the Leader. She was a low-class dockworker back when she was just Ariel, a bystander to Optimus/Orion Pax and Megatron/Megatronus's fallout, seeing the rise of the factions. She barely survived an attack by the Decepticons until the newly made Autobots came to save her section.

Afraid, she ran into the very Forge of Solus Prime and begged and screamed into the empty halls as if they'll answer. She didn't want to be a bystander or a victim within it, she wanted to protect those she cared about,fight for what was fight. She screamed and cried out her anguish until she fell into recharge, waking up with a few found power, a stronger frame, and the Hammer of Solus into her servos. She also became a conduit of the Prime herself, blessed with strength and power on par with the Autobot Leader himself.

As Commander/Co-leader of the Autobots, she believes in Optimus's future dreams the most, willing to go into less practical tactics all in the name of fighting for freedom for sentient beings. And as his Conjunx, as acts as his knight or Angel of battle,wanting to keep him safe.
