◎ Of the love languages, Zenyatta is the least effected by words of affirmation. That's not to say he dislikes it, of course. He finds his world brightened by any affection his loved ones give him, and makes sure they recieve it back in kind.
◎ Verbal praise comes the easiest to him. Often, after particularly insightful meditations, he's known to form poetry whilst speaking of the many ways he cares for you.
◎ Sometimes you can swear he's doing it purposefully to get a bashful or modest reaction out of you though... He always has a much more playful air about him when you turn down his praise, and that cat-like head tilt of his. Either way, you know he's just going to come up with something even more romantic or embarrassing the next day.
◎ When recieving, Zenyatta feels lighter every time you compliment him. Whether you're stuttering over a romantic line or confidently telling him how impressively he did something, Zen simply finds that the rest of his day goes by easier.
◎ They're a perfect pick-me-up, especially when it's something new that he hasn't heard you speak before. You remain a delightful surprise.
◎ Zenyatta's favourite gifts? Mementos. Tiny things capturing big moments. These fragile, physical reminders that he has left a mark on the world whilst with you. Together.
◎ He's not one for maximalism, and often finds that it's the small and fleeting gifts that bring hin the most joy. It's much easier to think with less clutter, but a pouch of warmly-scented herbs you'd picked from the meadow nearby was perfect to tie around his belt. A little reminder of how you thought of him.
◎ There's something so traditional about courting with gifts that Zen finds... really charming. Perhaps the old romance films he's been digging through have worn off on him more than he'd expect. Since that discovery, it's become commonplace for him to bring you intricate bouquets or accessories every so often.
◎ Needless to say, he loves how human it is. Zenyatta is always entertained by the little ways you try and provide for him.
◎ One of Zen's favourites, without a doubt. Both giving and recieving, there's very little that makes the omnic feel more connected to you than bringing one another ease and pleasure.
◎ Loves cooking for you. Every single part of learning and creating something nutritious for the one he loves fills him with uncompromising warmth.
◎ Of course his most coveted way to be of service is helping you clear your mind. Walking you through the beginnings of meditation, gentle voice and enlightened aura only helping to soothe any of your woes. To Zenyatta, there is nothing more gratifying than the knowledge that
◎ He thinks you're adorable every time you try to help him, too. Zen will happily take assistance with most things, knowing he'll get to watch you glow with a productive and prideful energy every time.
◎ At the end of the day all Zenyatta wishes is that you have both impacted eachothers lives positively; and he knows through your actions that you feel the same.
◎ Another example of how important it is to Zen go feel deep connection to the people he holds most dear. The monk's touch is usually guiding and delicate. During moments of closeness, Zenyatta adores touching foreheads or holding hands. Feeling that entwined and trustful is satisfying, but even moreso when encouraged by you.
◎ Absolutely a tease. He knows what he's doing every time— Holding your head in his palm, getting closer than usual to speak intimately about simple things, exhibiting small bouts of strength from such usually gentle hands. Pulling away at the last moment. Certainly takes it upon himself to learn all your weak spots.
◎ PDA with Zen is almost exclusively physical. He feels anything less would be too ambiguous, as simple kindness is a hand he extends to anyone. Intiated public affection is rare, which makes it feel all the more special- or impactful, when it happens.
◎ He honestly isn't that used to recieving much physical attention unprompted, and though he welcomes it, having someone else be more forward with touch is something he'd have to get used to.
◎ Won't admit it with words, but is incredibly weak to sudden hugs or kisses. The elated sighs that come after don't hide it very well. He pines loudly...
◎ Incredibly patient and will always wait to be sure you're comfortable with physicality before intiating. Generally a sweetheart about it.
◎ Definitely another favourite. Relaxing, dedicated time spent with Zenyatta is always a 10/10 experience.
◎ Surprisingly talkative. Take him somewhere surrounded by nature or a rich culture and he will surely yap about what he has learnt from such places. Could go on for hours if you asked, but enjoys listening to you air your thoughts just as much.
◎ Zenyatta is willing to follow you into any experience, ever curious to expand his wisdom on the world. That includes the best possible date locations, of course.
◎ He thinks it's incredibly sweet how much effort you put into your time together, and tries to return your passion. Will absolutely dress up to impress you, if only to make it more memorable.
◎ Whether it's one-on-one training, musing thoughts under the moonlight or learning a new hobby- Zenyatta prefers it with you.
