really sad that my 6undrground mutual deleted bc all of her four x male reader fics are gone 4ever :( i write my own stuff often (even published one chapter on ao3 (: ) but it's nice to have other perspectives </3 and i love her four</3

every now and again i think about posting my self ship writing on ao3 as character/original male character but that's. scary.

I have a lot of "I could fix this" ships. like, give me that character and let me weave in this storyline that will fix the plot. it's harder to do that in well-written stories unless i'm supremely motivated. anyway that's why i ship with characters from shit like supernatural & the originals & comic books.

The thing is, I see Warren... sorry, Angel from X-Men and I don't think "oh, that's Angel from X-Men". I think, "that's my good friend who I understand better than anyone else and am intimately familiar with". which is kind of unhinged considering he's a 60 year old character that has gone through more than a hundred writers in twice as many interpretations, and probably all of them thought of him the same way. except they probably weren't dating him... maybe.

thinking about my spn oc, Luke. he's a hunter that doesn't want to be one, but he knows someone has to do it. he loves too much, and he knows it'll hurt that much more, but he won't stop. he falls in love with a trickster who turns out to be an angel, and he falls victim to that trickster-angel so often that he refuses to believe that Gabriel could be dead. he tries to scour the world for any sign of him. he's so young when he meets Gabriel, and then he grows up and loves him still, and he finds himself at the feet of statues, looking up at this winged figure, nothing like his lover but everything he's meant to be, and he prays. he prays and he begs and he cries. and when Gabriel does finally make an appearance again, Luke can't forgive him for all those years he spent in churches and cemeteries and gardens praying at the stone feet of statues. but he loves him still

Colby was turned by a French vampire after being left for dead following a bloody battle in 1942. it was not a kindness. he was an American soldier turned vampire solely to drive the Nazis out of France. as soon as that was done, he was abandoned with wartime bloodlust and no knowledge of vampire society, customs, or laws. he stayed in Europe for a handful of years until it became increasingly clear he was not welcome; from there, he took a ship to the States (for some reason, passengers came down with a strange lethargic illness and several people vanished). he roamed around the States until 1972, when in a nightclub he met a vampire woman— the first American vampire he had ever met, and the first vampire woman to boot— but she vanished before he could interrogate her. days later, she returned to the nightclub with other vampires in tow. terrified of being hunted down, Colby tried to escape, only to be stopped by Emmett.
