cuddle while watching tv

this mod adds a new romantic interaction: "cuddle while watching tv". it becomes available when two sims are sitting close to each other and both of them are watching tv.

base game compatible requires the xml injector

by default, the animation depends on the actor's gender: - if the actor is a female sim, she will be the one being cuddled. - if the actor is a male sim, he will be the one doing the cuddling. if you want to change this, use my other mod.

it works similarly to the in game "cuddle while watching movie" and "snuggle" interactions, with similar outcomes, autonomy and availability requirements.

the sims facial expressions will reflect the emotions they are feeling at that moment.

important issue: there is no real tv focus!

sims will not actually keep looking at the tv, so please place the tv in front of the sofa if you want the interaction to look more natural.

in the original "cuddle while watching movie" interaction, the tv focus is mostly done through head movement, and even there it doesn't always look perfect. but with a more complex pose like this, where sims are actually cuddling, i could not make it work in a way that looked good.

the interaction is available when sims are sitting close to each other on regular sofas or benches. sectional sofas are not supported. both sims should already be watching tv, either a tv channel or a movie.

you can find the interaction in the 'romance' category. it lasts around 90–120 in-game minutes.

give medicine to treat sickness and ailments

this mod lets your sim share medicine with sims they know.

requires 'get to work' requires xml injector

the "give medicine" interaction is available on medicine.

it appears when: - medicine is in your sim's inventory; - there is a sim nearby who your sim knows and who has a sickness or ailment. - age: child to elder.

the sim will take the medicine and recover, and one medicine will be removed from your inventory.

no translation is needed, all text is from the game.

the first file only treats sicknesses from the "get to work" ep.

wash face and sanitize hands 🤪

this mod allows your sims to wash their faces at sinks and sanitize their hands with wall dispensers or portable hand sanitizer.

base game compatible requires lot51 core library

by downloading this mod, you get three functional items. all three can be found in build mode, in the "bathroom accents" category.

wash face

- age group: teen to elder. - the interaction is available by clicking on a sink or on the facial cleanser. - the sink interaction can be used by all sims, even if they haven't bought the cleanser. - 7 swatches, not all shown in the picture.

by default, the cleanser in the animation will have a white texture. if you want a cleanser in a different color, buy it and place it in your sim's inventory.

outcome: - increases the hygiene motive; - slightly increases the energy motive; - cures acne for teens ('high school years' ep); - removes makeup applied at a vanity table; - increases responsibility for teens ('parenthood' gp); - custom buff.

autonomy: - when hygiene is low; - in the morning, from 6:00 to 10:00; - if the sim does not have the slob trait.

portable hand sanitizer

- age group: child to elder. - the interaction is available by clicking on the hand sanitizer or on the sim, if the object is in the sim's inventory. - to use it, your sim needs to buy it first. - 3 swatches.

outcome: - increases the hygiene motive, like washing hands; - custom buff.

autonomy: - when hygiene is low; - if the sim doesn't have the slob trait.

"offer hand sanitizer": if you click on the object while it is in your sim's inventory, you can offer another sim to use your sanitizer.

wall sanitizer dispenser

- age group: child to elder. - the interaction is available by clicking on the custom object. (this is a decorative item from the get to work expansion pack that i made functional) - 6 swatches (including several new textures).

outcome and autonomy are the same as for the portable hand sanitizer.

intimate lap kiss

this mod adds a new romantic interaction: "intimate lap kiss". it becomes available when two sims are sitting close to each other.

base game compatible requires the xml injector

by default, the animation depends on the actor's gender: - if the actor is a female sim, she will sit on the other sim's lap. - if the actor is a male sim, he will pull the other sim onto his lap. if you want to change this, use my other mod.

it works similarly to the in-game "make out" interaction and has comparable outcomes.

the interaction is available when sims are sitting close to each other on: - sofas; - benches; - ottomans; - double and single beds, except murphy beds; - pool edges.

you can find it in the 'romance' category -> 'physical intimacy'. sims must have already had their first kiss. the interaction lasts around 25–30 in-game minutes.

there is a 40% chance that both sims will receive the following buff:

child & toddler hair care

this mod adds two interactions from adults to children and toddlers: "brush hair" and "do hair" with in-game hairstyle options.

base game compatible requires the xml injector

this is how the animation looks:

actor: teen to elder, who is introduced to the child and does not have a negative relationship with themcategory: parentingthere are 8 hairstyles available in the "do hair" interaction:

all hairstyles are base game compatible :) the only change i made is that the child’s braid no longer have a bow (1st on picture), and the bow on the child's ponytail is always black (6th on the picture). the hairstyle will disappear after 10 hours, or you can select the sim and use "remove hairstyle" in their sim menu.

outcomes:

social need increase;

small relationship gain;

parenting skill gain (gp "parenthood");

better grade school performance (if the child goes to school with brushed hair or a new hairstyle);

small boost to social skill gain (for 10 hours after brushing or styling hair);

buffs:

(the first buff appears during the interaction and is only applied to children, not toddlers)

this mod adds a functional stroller, allowing sims to go for walks with their infants.

requires ep 'growing together' (sadly) requires lot 51 core library huge credit to waronkcc and their mod functional stroller. i would never be able to make something like this without their work.

the stroller works as a combination of a playmat and a bicycle. there are six colors:

- can be placed in the inventory. - model reference: anex flo stroller.

adult interactions

when clicking on the stroller as an adult sim, you’ll see the following interactions:

"walk around with baby" outcomes:

a buff during the walk;

small social and fun gain;

small parenting skill gain.

returning home after the walk must be done manually: grab the stroller handles and click on the ground near your home, then choose "go here with stroller".

if you want the baby to stay in the stroller after the walk, it’s recommended to pick them up and place them back into the stroller again (to refresh the baby’s position).

infant interactions

while moving, the infant can sleep, 'look around' or 'play with toys' (using this mod).

the look around interaction is added by me to all playmats. it uses animations similar to 'look at toys', but works like 'tummy time'.

ideally, when you start a stroller walk with an adult sim, you should also start look around for the infant.

look around outcomes:

milestone progress;

strong social and fun gain;

a buff during the interaction.

the biggest issue of this mod is that sometimes the infant doesn’t attach to the stroller

when the sim starts walking, the infant may stay in place. this happens randomly and i don’t have a guaranteed fix. sometimes picking up the infant, hugging or kissing them helps.

the most effective solution: sell the stroller and buy a new one

other important notes/issues:

the infant can sit in the stroller, but the animation looks off. i recommend keeping the infant lying down during movement;

during the walk, another parent may automatically pick up the infant. to avoid this, i recommend using look around while walking;

sometimes (especially on speed 3) the sim may visually freeze inside the stroller and not play the walking animation. sadly, i can’t fix this for now. restarting the interaction helps.

it’s important to understand that the walking animation itself doesn’t look good. this is partly due to my current skill level and partly due to game limitations.

mirror selfie

this mod adds new mirror interactions that lets your sim take a mirror selfie.

requires the xml injector base game compatible

available for teens to elders.

i made 25 poses for feminine sims and 25 poses for masculine sims. in this mod, my animation style addon won't work :( if there is interest, i can make a gender neutral version with mixed feminine and masculine poses. let me know!

pose examples:

the phone is accessory, not in game object. i had to create a custom phone it will automatically appear in your sim’s hand. you can change the phone color through the mirror debug menu.

1. open the cheat console and type "testingcheats true"; 2. shift + click on a mirror.

i wanted mirror photos to feel more interesting, so there are two main interactions.

share mirror selfie to simstagram

after taking a photo, your sim will automatically post it to simstagram.

outcome: - new followers (no notification); - fame (ep. get famous). - there is a 70% chance to receive a delayed comment from one of your friends (random, 1 of 40) after 5 in-game minutes:

there is also a 15% chance to receive a negative comment or spam from an anonymous sim (1 of 25):

send flirty mirror selfie

you allow to choose a sim with some romantic relationship.

outcome: - plus romantic relationship; - flirty reply (1 of 30):

during these interactions, your sim will receive several buffs:

if you want to use my poses with pose player, i added an extra action in the mirror debug menu called attach phone.

known issues:

you need to manually find the mirror again every time you change poses :(((

the camera position is fixed, you can adjust only zoom and rotation.

there is a small animation snap before and after photo mode. this is the same behavior as the in game selfie interaction.

show off the baby

this mod adds new interactions with one custom animation. it works with infants and toddlers.

base game compatible includes xml injector

the interaction is located in the "relationship" category in the baby's menu.

show off the baby to & ask to show the baby (specific sim)

the interactions work differently depending on what you want to do: - you want to show the baby to someone; - or you want someone to show the baby to you.

both sims must be teen to elder;

using 'ask to show the baby', a sim can be introduced to the baby.

show off the baby to a group

the actor must be teen to elder. the group can include sims from child to elder.

at the end, sims will play a small random happy and affectionate in-game reaction.

known issues:- sims may pause briefly before the animation starts; - if you gather a large group and some sims are far away from the baby, they may arrive late to the animation.

outcomes:

a small relationship increase between the baby and the sim they are shown to.

the sim who looks at the baby will receive one of three buffs (either randomly or based on age and traits).

hang out and chat on the bed

this mod adds a new double bed interaction called "hang out and chat with..." it is available only to sims who are already friends (teens to elders).

here are two animation styles based on the sim's gender. you can switch between them using my other mod!

outcomes:

the initiating sim can learn more about the other sim such as: a trait; a career: are they single, sexual orientation, turn-ons and turn-offs, etc.

I created a set of new notifications (100+) about career, financial status, and romantic situation. the notifications follow the style of in game messages and are based on the sims data.

career: employed, unemployed, or is in school or university. relationship: in a relationship or single. financial status: worrying about money (below 40,000) stable and comfortable (40,000 to 250,000) very good or luxury level (above 250,000) the amount includes the cost of the house and furniture as well.

increases social and fun motives;

slightly improves relationships;

for teens, slightly increases 'empathy' and 'emotional control' (gp “parenthood”);

both sims receive the following buff;

there is a chance to gain the trusting sentiment, if you have 'high school years' ep.

autonomy

sims can do the interaction autonomously under the following conditions:

the sim is a teen or young adult;

the day is friday, saturday or sunday;

the time is between 4 pm and 11 pm;

the sims are either good friends or bff;

this mod adds:

a“cry” interaction to the sim’s main menu and theshower, with a custom animation.

reactions from nearby sims to a crying sim.

comfort interactions after crying.

during crying, the sim gets the following moodlet:

here are two animation styles based on the sim's gender. you can switch between them using my other mod!

after the action ends, the sim will randomly receive either a sad or a happy buff. sims with the gloomy trait are more likely to get the sad buff. sims with the cheerful trait are more likely to get the happy one.

if there are nearby sims who have a friendly relationship with the crying sim, they will react with a random sad in-game animation and receive the following buff:

after the crying ends, the sim can ask any sim for comfort. a sim who witnesses the crying can also comfort them. a fitting in-game animation will play.

after this interaction, both sims will lose the sad moodlets from my mod and get new happy ones. there’s also a chance of gaining a close sentiment.

this version also adds the option to cry in the shower.

differences from the regular action:

it’s only available when the sim feels negative emotions: sadness, stress, embarrassment, fear, or discomfort.

hygiene increases during the action.

other outcomes:

duration of negative emotion buffs decreases.

for teens, emotional control skill increases (gp “parenthood”).

if the sim is in grief, positive coping increases (ep “life and death”).

autonomy:

read and snuggle on toddler bed

this mod lets an adult (teen to elder) read to a toddler in a toddler bed.

base game compatible includes xml injector

features:

the action is added to toddler beds and only works on the left side.

you need a toddler book in the sim inventory. if there are several, the game picks one at random or uses the one marked as favorite.

outcomes:

raises fun and social;

for adults, slightly raises parenting skill;

for toddlers, increases communication and imagination skill;

slightly improves relationships;

lets you complete the 'successful lineage aspiration' task 'read to a child';

adds unique buffs:

this mod allows an adult (teen to elder) to take a nap together with an infant or toddler in the bed.

base game compatible includes xml injector disclaimer: please note that sleeping in the same bed with infants is not recommended for safety reasons. this mod is just a part of my fantasy about family and children. it is not meant to encourage or promote bed-sharing with infants in real life.

features/issues:

the action only works on the left side of the bed.

when using a double bed, the object is not reserved. this means other sims can lie or sit on the side where the action takes place!

the action lasts 90 in-game minutes. baby receives a sleep buff at the start of the action. the buff will last exactly 90 minutes! if you cancel the action early, the buff will remain.

if you decide to wake up earlier, make sure the child is selected and then click on the child to choose the action "remove sleepy buff". alternatively, you can use the ui cheats extension mod, which allows you to remove any buff by simply clicking on it.

this doesn’t happen often, but sometimes the action may not work. in that case, let your sim pick up the child and then click on the interaction again.

outcomes:

increases energy and social motives;

for adults, increases parenting skill slightly;

slightly improves relationships;

if your sim doesn’t know they’re pregnant yet, they will use custom animations. only after the game notifies you that the sim is expecting a baby, the animation will switch to the default one.

now works with the add-on that lets you change animation type for each sim individually.

facial expressions should look a bit better now.
