it's extra frustrating seeing people disingenuously refer to tme/tma as "forcing nonbinary people into a binary" when these terms actually let you avoid reinforcing those binaries while still having earnest discussions about transmisogyny. i am agender and i am not a man and i still do not experience transmisogyny & am in a position to benefit from it, it is incredibly useful to have terms to denote this kind of positionality without having to inaccurately refer to my gender identity

Fadel's project was about creating an integrated system for managing the water desalination plant in Gaza electronically. This is an incredibly important project, because Israel has systematically destroyed Gaza's water treatment infrastructure, blocked repairs in countless ways, and targeted workers. sometimes people experiencing psychosis and/or mania will come up to you on the street and talk in confusing or upsetting ways. your job is to either have a regular human-to-human conversation with that person or politely leave. your job is not to call 911. do not call 911. you might kill that person if you call 911.

sometimes, i will realize, 'oh, i didn't need to prepare so much' or 'i didn't need to be so hard on myself.' these difficulties that i bring upon myself often do not make the situation better, and they just wear me down physically and mentally. i'm more productive and more authentic when i'm kinder to myself. life becomes easier, whether or not life is truly easy

I just find it really weird that all of my trans focused posts EXCEPT for the nonbinary focused posts tend to pop off. Like the fact that I'm trans is negated by the fact that I'm nonbinary to some people.
