Iām coming to terms with the fact that I have special interest persons. I recently discovered that Iām autistic. I tried explaining it to a friend and they were like āI couldnāt tellā (which made me feel super self-conscious for some reason?).
So I decided to be more explicit and said āIām not really exactly myself around you.ā But my friend sort of interpreted that as weāre just not close enough as friends for them to know the ārealā me. Thatās not what I mean at all and I donāt know how to explain it.
Is it rude to tell people that Iāve been faking a lot of my reactions and responses? I donāt know how to explain that the version of me that my friends know isnāt actually me
Iāve never done this before but Iām pretty desperate so here goes:
I rescued a cat about two years ago. His name is Prior Walter and heās always had breathing problems. I finally found a vet to figure out the problemā itās cancer. The surgery he needs costs $5000-6000.
In September I spent two weeks in a mental hospital. After that, I took a few weeks off from work. Iām really right on money from my own medical expenses, not having an income, and paying for the special diagnostics it took to diagnose my cat in the first place.
If anyone can spare a few dollars, I would really, really appreciate it. Please help me save my cat

Hello! My name is Angel! Iām a nonbinary, a-spec psychology student currently in my final semester of undergrad. For an internship Iāve been given the amazing opportunity to conduct a workshop + panel on campus to educate the community about asexual and aromantic identities, and these identities relate to experiences within relationships and sex.
Itās a complex topic, which is why Iām here!
Despite identifying as asexual myself I really think that the project would benefit from a wide variety of aromantic and asexual voices besides just my own. What magic is this
Having separate flags is good bcos itās good to have a symbol for your particular identity to embrace but it also important to remember the rainbow flag unites us all. All LGBT+ people can use it. I feel like itās somehow become assumed by a lot of younger lgbt+ people that itās only fr gay men, which it isnāt and never has been
The rainbow flag when originally created by Gilbert Baker in 1978 actually contained 8 stripes that were assigned values and specific meanings that were meant to show what unites us and what we value as a community,Ā
It took 30 people to hand dye AND hand stitch the first 2 pride flags- 30 people of various identities came together to create the first symbol of pride. Hot pink was removed due to fabric shortages and turquoise was mixed with indigo to have the darker blue we have today.
Having individual flags is great to show your identity but I think we shouldnāt forget that the rainbow flag isnāt reserved for gay men, it was created to show what we all have in common regardless of identity.Ā
