This Pimento Cheese Burger with Fried Green Tomatoes tastes like it came from the south. The tangy and crispy fried green tomatoes go great with the creamy pimento cheese, making for a unique and tasty burger experience.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 hamburger buns. 1 cup pimento cheese spread. 4 slices of bacon. 4 slices of green tomatoes. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup cornmeal. 1/2 cup buttermilk. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 tsp black pepper. 1/4 tsp paprika. 1/4 cup vegetable oil. Lettuce leaves. Sliced red onion.
Instructions: Set the bacon aside after cooking it in a pan until it's crispy. Salt, pepper, paprika, and flour should all be mixed together in a bowl. Put tomato slices in the buttermilk, and then cover them with the flour mix. Fry tomato slices in vegetable oil in a pan until they turn golden brown. Take it off and let it dry on paper towels. Make 4 patties out of the ground beef and season them with salt and pepper. Grill or fry until it's done the way you like it. Put a slice of pimento cheese on top of each patty in the last minute of cooking and cover to melt. You can use a grill or a toaster to toast the hamburger buns. To make the burgers, put lettuce leaves on the bottom bun, then the patty with pimento cheese on top, a fried green tomato slice, bacon, and red onion slices. Add the other half of the bun on top, and serve.
