Bilbo needing to bundle up in winter because the mountain is very drafty due to the years of disrepair. He doesn't have any proper clothes so the company proceeds to gift him with layers of clothing to keep their hobbit warm.
Ori knits Bilbo extra mittens. Boruf gifts him with a warm hat. Dori and Nori provide him with thick woollen underthings. Óin brings him an extremely long scarf. Glóin rustlers up tunic that actually fits. Then there's a new overcoat from Fíli and Kíli, thick trousers from Bifur and woolly socks from Bombur. Thorin of course gifts Bilbo with his own fur coat.
By the end, Bilbo is so bundled up that you can barely see his nose poking from a pile of fabric. They all think it's absolutely hilarious. Bilbo grumbles about it but is secretly very touched. For the first time that winter, he doesn't get a cold.
