You know, my beloved subscribers, I opened my account today and realized that I really have a lot of drawings with babies and families with children here. I even have babies on my avatar and banner. So I wanted to say one thing, because I suspect that the majority of my subscribers are women.

These are very romanticized images of life with children. Babies can be cute and funny, but the reality of having children in someone’s life is incredibly difficult, demanding, and life-changing in ways that art cannot fully show. Please do not take my drawings as some kind of encouragement or nudging toward having children. These are simply fictional scenes that I enjoy drawing from time to time because I like the emotions, warmth, and dynamics in them.

I’m childfree by choice myself, and I strongly believe that life with children is simply not for me. I will probably continue drawing families with children sometimes, but I think it’s important to understand the difference between romanticized fictional imagery and real life ❤
