screw everyone who's ever seen hand holding as exclusively romantic. screw everyone who's ever asked me if the person's hand im holding is "my date". i hold my friend's hand because she's overwhelmed in the grocery store. i hold my friend's hand in the doctor's office. i hold her hand in the car. i hold her hand because she needs to know that im here and she's not alone. romantic love is not the most important kind of love. hand holding ≠ romance. life is too short to not hold your friend's hand. life is too short to not tell your friends you love them.
