Yay! This is done! My semi-self insert Jyna in @b-does-arts’s Amazing Digital Fantasy AU! I already drew them for a pride month drawing but here’s all the official info on her in this au. If you want more information on them that’s more close to canon of the reason I call them a semi self insert go here!
Also sorry if there are typos! And grammar mistakes…..
You know her you love her! It’s everyone’s favorite wolf-rabbit Jyna! The youngest and arguably most stubborn out of the entire group. Of only age fourteen, this angry teenager lives on their own outside of town and away from most people. Nobody really knows why, but they outwardly rejected Caine’s offer of a place in the town before running off on their own while nobody was looking. They live in a house near the woods on their own, passing the time by learning various crafts such as sewing, painting, and carving. They are usually quiet and laid back, occasionally acting very stubborn and vulgar whenever she’s angered or annoyed. But there’s another side of them that only the Seamstress, Bard and Gangle know about, one more energetic, talkative, and joyful.
(Zooble and Gangle are their parents, trust.)
Sometimes Jax shows up just to mess with her, or crash on their couch. (Also timeline-wise They showed up AFTER the fire. So they were spared from that trauma. )
Ragatha taught her some of the basics in sewing! She even helped her make Jyna’s cloak.
They have mixed feelings on Kinger and Caine. Jyna doesn’t really care about Kinger and she finds Caine annoying at most. Caine tries his best to convince her to move into the town and endlessly gets into her business. Kinger tries a more emotional approach (well, as best he can in his state). Basically Caine is like “Hah! They’re crazy when they’re teens huh? Get in here and let’s have family time” while Kinger is like, “I’m here if you need me!”
Jyna in their house while Kaufmo was getting executed:
(Disclaimer before I get into this I want to make one thing clear. I AM OKAY! I’m going to tackle some heavy stuff with Jyna but not all of it is completely accurate to my real life experiences. Jyna might not be doing too good. But I’m currently doing well and I’m not being hurt in any way and I am doing good. Thanks for understanding :3 )

Yeah getting real heavy with this one. sorry guys……
Alyssa Powell was a 14 year old, homeschooled, middle school student, about to enter high school. She lived in a semi warm place with her mother and father. Alyssa and her parents initially lived somewhere much more mountainous and snowy with her extended family, but her parents soon decided to move away for reasons they didn’t tell her.
She didn’t care much for her father, sure he was a good dad but he wasn’t as emotionally available toward her. Her mother was a much more present figure in her life, she always had big plans for Alyssa. Her mother wanted her to be big and successful, so she pushed her to be the best in a lot of her hobbies and school.
Alyssa spent her days alone, not talking to many people but that was how she liked it. After all, “people will only want to hurt you” according to her mom. She loved drawing, making her own silly stories, watching tv, and trying out different hobbies. But her and her mother’s relationship deteriorated even more after the move. Her mother became more irritable and foul-mouthed, she’d get into arguments with Alyssa’s father, sometimes even getting Alyssa herself involved with their adult issues. This more chaotic environment led to Alyssa feeling anxious and fearful at home, but over time Alyssa became more and more apathetic towards her parents arguing and began to resent them both.
“If they both hate each other so much why don’t they just f-ing break up already!?”.
Eventually things changed after the sudden death of her grandmother, whom Alyssa was close with. Alyssa fell into a deep depression and rarely started going outside. She started grappling with darker thoughts about life, and how she ment nothing and how she hated her life. Not like her growing and developing teenage body was helping anything either. They hated it…..it wasn’t them..they hated everything about it, and that she couldn’t do anything about it. At the end of the day, she was just a kid, with no friends, inside all the time, who felt stuck in her body. “I’m such a f-cking loser”. She told herself. Eventually she had enough. She was tired of living a life that didn’t feel like hers, so decided to runaway and regain control of her life. She walked on foot, for several days, stealing stuff to eat, before she eventually wandered to the countryside. She found a building to take shelter in. She didn’t look around for long before finding a headset, out of curiosity she put it on…Big mistake…..
Yippee! You made it! Gold star for you bud! Thanks for listening to all that! Yeah, poor Alyssa/Jyna…and r.i.p Alyssa’s grandma. I played around a lot with Alyssa’s story, didn’t want it to be too chaotic and like I just dumped a bunch of issues on some poor girl for no reason so a few aspects of her character had to be shortened or cut out in this writing (ex: Alyssa had a lot of fictional crushes both male and female, Alyssa was a sickly kid who had a lot of physical health issues). I also primarily referred to Alyssa as she/her in the story because I think that Alyssa would be in a lot of denial about only feeling “partly” like a girl. But yeah don’t worry things will definitely get better with Jyna dw! I imagine writing a small arc where Jyna learns to be more vulnerable and eventually finds true friends/community in the main group (Kinger/Jax/Zooble/Gangle/Ragatha/ and Pomni).
Ps. Zooble and Gangle totally get married and adopt Jyna. 100%
