Remember, the prompts are only guidelines - you can create something that fits strictly with the prompt or something that only barely relates. Anything is on the table, but please review the rules below before you post.
Prompts
Day 1: Contact
How do Eris and Azriel communicate? Through letters or texts, maybe, or through heavy gazes and the brush of fingers on exposed skin - and have they always spoken to each other this way?

So much of this enemies-to-lovers ship is full of strife, pain, and betrayal. But what about the quiet moments?
Day 3: Creature Feature
There are many creatures in Prythian, and many more outside of canon. You can return to the “familiars” idea from 2024, or you can create something totally new. Expand your interpretation of who or what a creature is and see where it takes you.
Day 4: Dark and Stormy Night
Azris is a mood. Whether dark, spooky, or mysterious, Azriel and Eris are no strangers to living dangerously. Paint us a picture; set the mood for everyone.
Day 5: Favorite Trope/AU
Only one bed? Check. Swordplay as innuendo? Check. Or maybe a love story that takes place in a world neither in Prythian or on planet Earth? Hell yeah.
Day 6: Lonely Together
Eris and Azriel are often surrounded by their Courts and families. However, both characters wear masks and build walls to keep others at arm's length. Will the walls come down when they come together, or are they both destined to remain lonely, even together?

This is self-explanatory.

1. What drew you to Azris?
Honestly, I was shocked when I first came across the ship. I thought it was a crackship and couldn't believe how popular it was. I specifically remember looking at the ceiling and going "What the fuck?"
But then it made sense--and the ship caught fire in my brain. It's like the twist at the end of the movie that totally reframes the previous ninety minutes. The puzzle pieces fell into place. The perfect enemies-to-lovers. Chef's kiss.
2. What themes do you explore most often in your fics? Do you have a favorite image or location to return to again and again?
In fiction, I love exploring the idea of an unwanted connection and having your expectations subverted. It takes a long time to pull that thread apart and earn the change of heart, so I like exploring kink in my short stories instead :D
In art, I really enjoy the theme of dorito-shaped shitless hotties. Broad shoulders, tiny slutty waist.
3. If you could only write one, which would you choose: Fluff or Angst? Yes, you must choose one.

Modern or 1900+ Historical AU. The Cold War and modern statesmanship and corporate espionage is rife with opportunity to explore with Azriel and Eris!!
5. Name a favorite Azris fic/art that you've created. Why?
Unexpectedly, Come Back to Me is my favorite because of how much it stretched my skills as a writer. I really tried to convey the way one's life can fall apart when an obsessive idea takes over. It's kind of an out-there fic I guess?
6. Do you have a favorite ACOTAR pairing other than Azris?
Tamsand is delicious. The Azris to Tamsand pipeline is real.
7. Have you worn wigs?
Yes 🥰
8. Will Eris ever wear wigs?
When he finally enters his drag era, yes.
9. What are some of your favorite head cannons about Azriel? Eris?
I feel like my headcanons are so vanilla 😂 Scarred-body Eris. Bourbon-drinking Azriel. There is no innovation here.
10. Why do Eris and Azriel deserve each other?
Imo, they initially would not see each other as "deserving" each other; more like "what did I do to deserve getting paired off with you? 😒" hahaha But I think the parallels between their lives make them naturally fit: daddy issues and nice mommies.
Okay, okay, a more serious answer; they both know the acute pain and alienation that comes from family. To them, one's words, actions, and how one treats others is paramount. For them both, once a person proves themselves worthy of trust, that relationship is cherished. Both of them have and would go through hell again to help those they love, and I think each of them deserves someone who would do the same for them.
11. How do you find inspiration for your creations? (It could be music, other creators---anything!)
I think the Azris community itself inspires me a lot. I think there's a culture of throwing out ideas in the community that sparks a lot of ideas (see: Eris Vanstoola and Candy-Apple-Dick Eris (I swear, I'll get around to drawing this one day)).
I am also really inspired by the world, especially history. Documentaries are rich with new settings to explore: English civil war, 2008 financial crisis, the French revolution. AUs galore!!
12. Have you ever felt creatively blocked? How have you overcome it?
Yes!! I think being honest with what you love and enjoy can help lift a block. I find that blocks occur when you're not enjoying the subject you're creating anymore. I think it's worthwhile to get deep and be honest with what you love. In my case, it was love of smut, honestly.
13. Any advice for a content creator who is working up the guts to share/post for the first time?
Just post it. If it's too precious to you, then write a bad poem and post that first. Then you have the jitters over with. Idk, just have the confidence of a mediocre man. There's literally probably some guy who doesn't care about gay fae out there writing AI slop. Just post it. Done is better than perfect.
14. Are you a long or short haired Eris truther? Yes, you can only pick one.
I used to be short, then I became long. I'm sure I'll one day return to short. It's a circle.
15. If you could choose one court to live in Prythian, which would it be and why?
Sun. I love exploring Wikipedia and I am a lizard. Let me bake on a warm rock.

So many. Wild west ABO. Foot fetish. Puppy Eris. 2008 Financial Crash AU. Then some of the Azris week oneshots last year have ideas where I can expand them into longfics. I literally need to stop having ideas. I need to get my fics done. Help. 😭

Sacrifice is always a big one; love and survival (mostly) against all odds; I just like to put them in the most challenging situations I can imagine and see them succeed despite me. Even when they don’t, they still have each other.

9. What are some of your favorite head cannons about Azriel? Eris?
I have many and most of them are sad. Go figure. Here’s a (bitter)sweet one:
I’ve actually spent way too much time thinking about how Eris fell in love with Azriel because of his gentleness. He’s never at the receiving end of it but he notices. Over time, as he spends more time with his new allies he sees it over and over. The careful way Azriel hovers near Mor, protecting her, or the easy brush of his hand against Rhysands back when they talk. Eris notices how Azriel affectionately grabs at Cassian’s shoulder or the back of his head. He sees it when Azriel treats Elain like glass, or how he hugs Nesta and his High Lady, and especially when he gets glassy-eyed, with a soft smile when someone asks him about his mother. Each time he sees it, something chips away at Eris. Watching the fierce warrior who has never been anything but angry and hostile toward him, melt around those he cares about makes him ache.At first it makes him rage inside. Knowing it was possible for someone so hateful to have such a sweet and soft true nature. Reminding Eris of how brutally his father treats him and how he has always harbored a secret wish that Beron was capable of gentleness too, that he wouldn’t always want to hurt his family. When the ice between him and Azriel starts to thaw it’s impossible for him not to notice when his wings subtly shift to block the sun from Eris’ eyes. He can’t help but fixate on the playful but achingly light touch of their shoulders as they walk side by side. The first time their knuckles brush Eris was pretty sure he was going to burst into flames on the spot. Before he knows what’s happening, he starts to want to belong.
Azriel didn’t know he was seeing Eris any differently until he heard his laugh. After all the time spent spying on him, Azriel had only ever heard him cackle in sick amusement at someone else’s expense. He had never heard him laugh. Something shattered in him in that moment. He tried desperately to put himself back together and ignore that new fragile part of himself, pushing as much of his former hate towards the male as he could and almost hurts Eris irreparably because of it.
10. Why do Eris and Azriel deserve each other?
WHERE DO I START?!?!?
first, thier colors, cobalt and orange, at complimentary on the color wheel.
They are broken in mirror wasys and can relate to one another in a way that no one else can
They are set up specifically to compliment each other’s traumas in a way where only the other could provide what they need to heal from it
11. How do you find inspiration for your creations?

I get a lot of inspo from music. Catch me listening to me “Hurt Me” Playlist all day long!
12. Have you ever felt creatively blocked? How have you overcome it?
I give myself space and refuse to come back to something until I get excited for it again. I will read or create in other ways while I rest my Azris brain so I can come back refreshed and ready to go hard!

I want to say autumn becuase it’s Autumn BUT honestly the Dawn Court seems the most chill and innovative. Though, the Day Court has similar vibes and all those libraries!

Eris probably picked the fight to begin with just to be petty so I’m going to side with Azriel. He and I are very similar in our thoughts on self-worth, etc., so I feel like I need to be in his corner.

Azriel for sure. The High Lords meeting was so damning. lol.
18. What are some WIPs or ideas that you're excited about?
I will finish carve me open this year!!! Then I plan on finishing up all the other little things I have left open-ended so I can get to two more new fics I am very excited to write.

1. What drew you to Azris?
Who doesn't love a good snark-to-lovers story?
I loved the idea that SJM wrote breadcrumbs for an attraction between Eris and Azriel that she didn't seem to realize she put in the story.
The High Lord's meeting was just… foreplay, and Eris never reached for his fire to defend himself… as if he would never use fire against the Shadowsinger's burned hands. Then, after Azriel proclaimed he had to be tied to a tree in order not to rescue Eris, he still dropped everything (including Cassian) to rescue the Autumn Heir from their enemies. All while Eris, in Silver Flames, kept thirsting for information on his favorite Spymaster, over and over. Finally, Eris found Azriel (the best spy in Prythian) when he spied on Autumn, making us wonder if there is some type of… bond…? that allows the two to sense each other.
2. What themes do you explore most often in your fics? Do you have a favorite image or location to return to again and again?
I trend towards Azris fluff stories that end in domestic bliss. And favorite image or location? I tend to see the Autumn Court as the land of the Harvest, which includes wine and the crush. Eris in all of my worlds has a winery.
3. If you could only write one, which would you choose: Fluff or Angst? Yes, you must choose one.
Fluff. The fluffiest.
4. Favorite Azris AU? Why?
Any time Eris is a powerful corporate type, and Azriel gets to wear cool black clothes. Yum.
5. Name a favorite Azris fic/art that you've created. Why?
Still Tax Season, my guilty pleasure. And I adore the accompanying art by @thesavagegod. This was just fun, getting to write snark between our two fae in a modern setting. I desperately want to get the headspace to write the sequel.
6. Do you have a favorite ACOTAR pairing other than Azris?
I have a soft spot for Tamlin and Rhysand. Pretty much every story of mine has some background reference to these two having a past romance. I love Tamsand stories and art.
7. Have you worn wigs?
Yes. I look spectacular in wigs.
8. Will Eris ever wear wigs?
Oh no. Not the Lord of Luscious Locks. He will always use his natural hair.
9. What are some of your favorite head cannons about Azriel? Eris?
These two are the most touch-starved, love-lorn, yearning fools who cannot communicate if their lives depended on it. Only when they grasp that it is worth more to commit and communicate will these two realize they have the perfect opportunity for a beautiful partnership.
10. Why do Eris and Azriel deserve each other?
These two are both reluctant villains by circumstance. Eris is trapped in his role as the dutiful son, supporting the worst of the High Lords, Beron. Eris tries so hard to come up with a better future for Autumn, but the cage of his situation keeps him from making any progress. He is smarter than Beron, but not more cunning, which is going to be a problem in removing the current High Lord.
Azriel, who was imprisoned and tortured as a child, was made the Spymaster, which included interrogation by Rhysand. I don't believe that Azriel likes this part of his job, even if he is good at it. Azriel's lack of social skills from childhood, introspective nature, scary shadows, and scarier reputation mean Azriel has difficulty finding connection.
These two, once they start communicating, will find out that they relate to each other the best of all other fae in the world. When these two break out of their respective virtual prisons and work together, they will be a force multiplier for good in Prythian. They deserve this chance at a future.
11. How do you find inspiration for your creations? (It could be music, other creators---anything!)
Prompts, riffing, thinking inappropriately about Azris in work and life… all are inspirations. I have a notepad on my phone for the random inspiration that strikes.
12. Have you ever felt creatively blocked? How have you overcome it?
Oh, heck yes, and right now I am feeling it! When work gets stressful, or my life has events that drain my energy, I cannot write for anything. The only cure for me is to take my time, get some real sleep, and find a quiet space in my day to allow my mind to settle before I can get the words flowing again. Sometimes, that means a hiatus, or a writing break of a couple of weeks.
13. Any advice for a content creator who is working up the guts to share/post for the first time?
Oh, great question. It took me an embarrassingly long time to publish my first fanfic and chapter. Here's a few thoughts:
Don't worry about your fic being perfect or literary art. As you explore writing, you will find that your confidence and talent will grow as you post more.
Find a pseudonym you like and that is broad enough for multiple fandoms. Yes, I love WarriorAccountant - if nothing else, it's a conversation starter.
Find a fandom community that brings you joy and support. If there are folks bringing you down... blocking is always an appropriate decision.
Most of all, if writing is fun and fandom is an inspiration to write, go for it! Why not? As someone who found this activity later in life, I can tell you it's been a wonderful adventure, and I am glad every day I convinced myself to hit "post".

15. If you could choose one court to live in Prythian, which would it be and why?
Dawn. Artisans, healers, comfortable living, and Peregryn eye-candy. Second would be Autumn, because there's wine.

Eris. He's always right.

Define "worse". ;)
Azriel has the hottest temper; it rises faster and burns quickly. While the Spymaster holds a grudge, it's not top of mind all of the time; more a function of being around the fae that irritate him.
Eris holds a grudge forever and plots… always. Piss off Eris, and he will use his intelligence and patience to take you down.
18. What are some WIPs or ideas that you’re excited about?
Oh, I have a few… Active WIPS:
I am about halfway through my Omegaverse AU, Project Codename: Metamorphosis. This is an exercise for me to learn worldbuilding techniques without fully committing. It takes a bit more effort to write this one, as I am keeping track of three timelines and writing lore. I love it, even if it is a slower project. :)
The Adventures of Vesper and Hart is a WIP that is fully outlined and just needs my time to sit down and draft the final chapters. This story includes encounters between Eris and Azriel during their field-spy days prior to ACOTAR.
Ideas that are not fully fleshed out yet:
A sequel to Tax Season, where we get to experience the three dates. I have half of chapter 1 drafted.
A Western AU, with a rough outline and a start of the first chapter.
A Collegiate AU, which has a full outline and the start of the first chapter.
And lastly, a folder of stories for The Chairs longfic to go into the Domestic Bliss series!

This year, we have mixed things up by adding bingo cards. The rules, cards, and fic list are below.
Here are the rules:
Choose whether you would like to fill a 4x4 Bingo card or a 5x5 card. Participants may attempt to fill both to better their chances of winning, but we will ultimately choose 2 separate winners.
Each bingo card is full of beloved fanon and canon Azriz tropes, themes, and scenes. Each time you run across one in a new Azris fic (or one that has under 500 hits), mark your card! You MAY mark both cards using a single fic/comment, if you are playing on both.
2. To have your marked box count, leave a meaningful comment on each fic AND a kudos. While it's nice to get a comment that says "this was great!" the whole point of this challenge is to make people engage more thoughtfully with lesser known and newer fics.
3. The challenge begins May 30 and cards must be turned in by June 20. The first two participants to fill their entire card will be notified no later than June 30. There will be one winner for each card size (4x4 and 5x5).
4. Each winner (2 total) will be gifted an original story or piece of art, commissioned for them exclusively. Participating creators include: @wrraccountant, @chunkypossum, and @werehorsebite. *

Summary:

Anything posted or crossposted on tumblr (and tagging this account, @azrisweek) will be reblogged. Please note that you must tag the account in the body of the post, not the tags, in order to be reblogged and included in the master lists.
For submissions on Instagram, there will be an account to tag/set as collaborator; this account will be set up within the week and will be linked in the event week's rules/prompt post.
All accepted submissions will be included on the master lists for each day, which are usually posted in the week following the event.

For 2026, we have a few new prompts, as well as some of the most popular from Azris Week 2025. Remember, the prompts are only guidelines - you can create something that fits strictly with the prompt or something that only barely relates. Anything is on the table, but please review the rules below before you post.
Prompts
Day 1: Contact
How do Eris and Azriel communicate? Through letters or texts, maybe, or through heavy gazes and the brush of fingers on exposed skin - and have they always spoken to each other this way?
Day 2: Slice of Life
So much of this enemies-to-lovers ship is full of strife, pain, and betrayal. But what about the quiet moments?
Day 3: Creature Feature
There are many creatures in Prythian, and many more outside of canon. You can return to the “familiars” idea from 2024, or you can create something totally new. Expand your interpretation of who or what a creature is and see where it takes you.
Day 4: Everything Is...
What's your favourite trending TikTok audio? How would it map onto Azriel and Eris, either together or separately? You can even go old school and quote Vines or something that got a rando onto the Ellen Degeneres Show. This is ideal for TikTok and video editors.
Day 5: Favorite Trope/AU
Only one bed? Check. Swordplay as innuendo? Check. Or maybe a love story that takes place in a world neither in Prythian or on planet Earth? Hell yeah.
Day 6: Bees
Illyrians have five eyes, and are responsible for pollinating most of the crops and flowers grown on this planet. According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that an Illyrian should be able to fly. Their wings are too small to get their huge, buff bodies off the ground. The Illyrian, of course, flies anyway. Because Illyrians don't care what Fae think is impossible.
Day 7: Free Day
This is self-explanatory.

Can you submit chapter of a multi chapter fic for one of the days(like post it on that specific day)? If so, how does that work with collections and stuff on ao3?
Also, are late submissions acceptable and how long would they go until? I probably missed something but just wanted to make sure 😅

These are excellent questions; thanks for giving us the opportunity to clarify!
There are a few ways that multi-chapter works can fit into the week:
Each chapter fits a prompt for the week. Example: Chapter 1 fits Day 1; Chapter 2 fits Day 2; etc.
One chapter of an already-existing fic is submitted for a prompt. There must be a new chapter to match another day's prompt in order for the second chapter to be included in the master lists. Example: Chapter 16 of your work matches Day Two's prompt; in order for Chapter 17 to be included, it must match Day Three or another day.
You can post the first chapter(s) of a multi-chaptered fic on the prompt day that best matches your fic.
To include any work in the AO3 collection, you should be able to add it to the collection (once it is made) by scrolling down to the "associations" box and selecting the title of the collection. We will make a post with the official collection name closer to the event week. If you cannot add it for whatever reason, just DM us and we can manually add it.
As for late submissions, we allow participants to post up to a week after the end of the event week (in this case June 20, 2026). Submissions after this date will not be added to the master list or the AO3 collection.
