[Concept Art: Azris, Stepping into the Light]

First art piece I've posted in a while that has not been related to some type of event! I might touch this up later and repost a refined version, but I needed to get it out before the perfectionism devil got to me :)

Brief Azris Rant (related to this art):

I think these colors sum up how Azris feels in my head. They're (the colors and the characters) not particularly vivid for their own sake, but together they blend very well. I did try to give Azriel's siphon and Eris's crown a stronger kind of glow (because of their strong connections to their roots). I also wanted the swirls to look a little like shadows and a little like smoke.

Devlon’s finally done. I’m lowkey really happy with this. And now I also have a reference for both him and my version of Illyrian armour.

Happy Pride Month everyone! Is Azris ever going to be canon? No probubly not HOWEVER I do have enough Azris enjoying moots and friends so I thought I’d add em in the list anyways.

This was also my first time drawing either of these two. So I guess these are my debut designs for them. Do I have a reason for why Azriel has a grown out buzzcut? Sorta. But it’s mainly cause I wanted him and the other bat men to be more distinct.

Azris - Explicit (no smut til the back half)

Summary

The bond snaps into place at the Winter Solstice ball, threatening centuries of Eris’s plans and crushing Azriel’s lonely dreams. The bond is unsettling and intimate: glimpses of thoughts and feelings flowing muffled across the connection, prying at their carefully crafted masks.

The bond takes no heed that Koschei’s invasion of Prythian looms, testing the foundations of the Autumn Court. That it reveals their raw desires amidst the chaotic politics, alliances, heartbreak, and bloodshed.

The bond tugs at them, divulging sober truths: that, in the quiet stolen moments of night, they find their company soothes old scars, that, as the dust of battle settles, they discover themselves yearning for one another.

Chapter Excerpt

The prospect of seeing Eris again today had occupied his mind throughout the morning. What he felt towards Eris wasn't animus anymore. He didn't know what it was. But he recognized that awful thread of longing from Eris's memory in that tent. And Eris's vulnerability when he'd found him in that hallway, in the bath—he couldn't stop thinking about it. The constant pulsing tension across the bond did not help.

Azriel took another breath, steeling himself, forcing himself to start making his way down the hall. He needed to figure out how to stop this fixation. It would only make the coming days more difficult.
