She herded EVERYONE. From us kids to fucking Moose.

And you’d better believe those moose behaved and checked their attitude for once in their grumpy lives. (I think they were mostly just bewildered).

My snow boots, multiple pairs, and my siblings too all showed some sign of her nips at herding us. She only ever did that in snow boots and never on bare ankles aside from a lick, but she enjoyed corralling anyone and anyone who came into Her Yard.

Outside, she gave no fucks.

She also gnawed and rounded EVERY corner in my mum’s kitchen she could reach and stole EVERYTHING that hit the ground she could. Had a collection in her kennel and everything.

Every breed is a working breed and you need to understand their conditions so that you can have a peaceful and working home. Redirect them (Paige’s need to herd became a game of tag with her kids she always won, which if you know corgis, you know they kind of love to win) or have them redirected for you.

They deserve better especially as we made shaped them into exactly who and what they are.

We owe it to them at a bare minimum.

For context, apparently they were worried that maybe he's a nationalist because he was waving the Portuguese flag and some nationalists opposing the pride march were waving that flag. But upon interacting with him, it turns out he didn't have have a pride flag and he wanted to wave *a* flag in support of the pride march. So they had an exchange and now he has his own pride flag 😭🥹.

I had a simple and straight forward process that enabled me to have a 99.99999% success rate of recovery. The only one that keeps that from a perfect 100% was something I just could not PROVE because our cameras were shit.

My rules were simple:

Assume nothing. If you’re assuming something couldn’t or isn’t there, you already fucked yourself.

Don’t EVER assume a possible solution is too stupid, insane, unbelievable, or otherwise unlikely.

Do be logical about it, but don’t ever let your assumptions and predeterminations lead you astray.

Like any investigator: follow the evidence and kick your assumptions. You can use your theories and impressions to guide you, but don’t ever let the narrative you have in your head get in the way of what you’re looking at.

In light of some of the many things happening across the world this year, I thought this Pride Month needed a special illustration.

So ok look. The point is not the flared leg by itself. These cannot be yoga pants. These are, and you have to understand this if you are too young to have worn them, BLUE JEANS. And this was the last years before all jeans were 70% spandex.

They were denim, and they weren't bell bottoms. They hung loose from the knee in a way that would make a wizard envious. We all walked around like we were wearing hakama. And they dragged on the ground. That was important. Ragged cuffs. If your jeans weren't so long that they had ratty cuffs, they were embarrassingly short.

And the thing about denim is that it's a twill weave and it's cotton. So not only does it hold a lot of water, it wicks. Walking around in these suckers on a wet day could get you wet to the knees even if you never stepped in a puddle.

Then you'd go inside and take off your shoes and try to avoid letting your freezing, wet, filthy pant legs touch your skin.

It's live for summer

I can’t speak for everyone, but I can speak for my own personal feelings on the matter since I know I’ve been very vocally anti-Hamilton for this expansion.

I’m not against Hamilton getting a team, believe it or not, I just think now isn’t the right time for it. This is going to be a very in depth discussion about my personal feelings on the matter and why I don’t think it’s the best move for the PWHL right now, which isn’t probably what you’re looking for but it’s what you’re gonna get anyway. Idk if you’re Canadian or not, but I’m going to assume you’re not for this explanation. This post is going to be very long but the negative reaction from Canadians honestly goes a lot deeper than what some people might expect. Strap in kids, it’s geography time.

Like, there is SO much more to Canada than BC, Montreal, and Ontario. (I have two sisters born in different maritime proveniences, so a little familiar).

But two teams in effectively the same city? Regionally speaking (Canadian and Alaskan geographic sensibilities), that’s. . . A lot of saturation.

I’m sure the province will do its best to support them all, and maybe even do a decent job, but this could also lead to over-saturation and disinterest! It seems like an unwise decision made because someone *really* wanted a team in Hamilton and got their way.

I know travel will be part of the reason they justify the choice (Hamilton is easier to get to than Yellow Knife and will draw more folks ie money), but goddamn if this doesn’t remind me of bloody Melbourne and Victoria, Australia. It felt like EVERY time a new code or team was established, it was ALWAYS in Victoria, despite the rest of an entire continent existing. They just wanted that Melb money. (Which is ironic considering which state is the nation’s piggy bank.)

But seriously, as much as I want the Torrent to win, I’m just *enjoying* the shit out of FINALLY having a local hockey team to support. (Growing up in Alaska’s weird.)
