Bordeaux, France 🇫🇷

Bordeaux is a historic city in southwestern France, located along the Garonne River. It is famous worldwide for its wine, elegant architecture, and rich cultural heritage.

Bordeaux dates back to Roman times, when it was known as Burdigala and became an important trading center in the Roman Empire. Its location made it ideal for commerce, especially wine export.

In the Middle Ages, Bordeaux came under English control after the marriage of Eleanor of Aquitaine to Henry II. This strengthened its wine trade with England. Later, it returned to French rule after the Hundred Years’ War.
