I’m an ENFP married to an ISTJ. We balance each other out great when we need to make decisions, but on a day to day basis there is a LOT of Ne vs Si banter over how to handle small things. For the most part we have learned to just let the other handle things their own way. Sometimes those Ne vs Si conversations are hilariously stereotypical in retrospect.

Take this morning: There is a rip in the back of one of my boots that has been there for a while.

ENFP: I think I’m gonna take one of those fabric glue pens to work with me to fix my boot today

ISTJ: Don’t do that, you should just sew it. Do we not have any black thread?

ENFP: We do, but the glue will look better since there’s no seam there. Why would I sew it? That would look weird.

ISTJ: If you glue it, It’ll just come undone. That’s what happened when I kept trying to glue the hole in my jeans before you put a patch on.

ENFP: Yes, but thats because you kept washing them and you were trying to glue together torn fabric. Also that was a different glue. I’m not washing my boots regularly and I’m using a completely different glue.

ISTJ: Yeah, but that patch you put on has started to fall off too! Well, actually the pants are kind of falling apart around the patch, which I guess has nothing to do with the glue.

ENFP: So I shouldn’t use glue to fix my boot because you have old shitty jeans?

ISTJ: *glare*
