When you started out as a casual funnybunny shipper but don't know how to feel after the finale. . . . . .?

So much was going on so fast and I was literally vibrating while watching this. I LOVE the inner conflict shown going on with sera and I have been listening to "sera's confession" on repeat! I was heavily annoyed with sera in season 1 episode 6, specifically with her sustaining Adams(stupid) objection when souls are at stake. It was clear that while she felt bad when she was forced to see the consequences of her decision, she had already made up her mind. But I have disagreed with all the fanfics showing sera to be cruel and narcissistic in her rigidity and borderline sadistic. I have been holding out hope that she really does want the best for people, was just very very VERY blind to what was the best. And while she was very annoying the first few moments of the episode I loved her sweet littlemoment with Emily calming her down and I saw this crashout coming.

I think it came perfectly, with it taking the HIGHEST being imaginable to get through her thick skull, but when it finally did it paid off(great use of her first curse too). I especially love the episode really showing how she's realized her mistake by not only admitting to it, but consciously turning and LOOKING at the consequences. Before she was clearly slightly guilty and almost queasy whenever she was forced to confront the consequences, but now she is purposely looking at the people she has dehumanized and written off, and calling them sons and daughters.

Giving them back the same right to existence she has only given those deemed "worthy". Who could have just had an easy life. I truly cannot fangirl about this song enough. My favorite lines are "I feel no wiser than when I commanded the slaughter of those sons and daughters","how can I be sure I won't repeat more massacre based on mistaken conceit","if souls from damnation can earn their salvation, and find their forgiveness on high, how do I". The way she sings "conceit" as blood splatters on her as she finally accepts the blood on hers hands is TRULY perfect demonstration of show and tell and symbolism. And the pause as she looks up while she is completely alone before saying "how do I", is PERFECT,UGGHHHHH I can't get enough of this show! I wrote off the song "like you" at first but after a few re-listens I think it's kinda catchy. I LOVE the little heaven egg boiz and Emily's use of sir pentious's nickname "penny", they are both so cute. I really appreciated the balance of funny with "oh my God sir pentious's situation is horrible and actually so sad". Another thing I love is the significant jump in quality with the animation specifically regarding lute's mental breakdown. All of the gravity music video,her flying around the court room with a crazed look in her eyes, and the way she rips her hair out as she desperately tries to get everyone on board the genocide express(too dark?). Her punching the walls, declaring she was going to burn them all, pulling rank on EVERYBODY.

I like how it showed even someone like her who puts ALL her faith in heaven's system, and therefore the speaker of God, going wild on everyone when no one unwaveringly supported her hatred of sinners. The amount of authority sera had to remind her of at the end of lute's 10 consecutive mental break downs to. get her to calm down convinces me that lute might not even be too much of a threat this season, because she'll team up with someone to be season 3's big bad(maybe roooo, twodream, where are you to back me up on this?) Also, I fucking CALLED guitarspear being partially canon. Everyone told me I WAS CRAZY. WELL WHOS CRAZY NOW BARBARA. The way lute talks to the Adam hallucination was proof enough of my theory of at least one-sided guitarspear. My theory was that they were so far down the partners in crime/right hand man partnership that they were basically a married couple, they just didn't know it. I bet lute obsessively defended him behind(and in front of) his back and he treated her more equally than any of his wives. I also really hope Charlie will explore her powers more towards the end of this season at least. Maybe Lucifer can teach her something. It's clear angel's, and especially seraphim angels have serious creation powers, and Emily just spawning egg boiz proves this further. I want Charlie to explore her portal making/creation abilities more. Also, if she let loose, with her genetics, she would have beat the FUCK outta val and anyone else in season 1 and I WILL fight you on that. Gravity's also a bop, forgot to mention. I think I got out my new-hazbin-content-jitters when the song pre-released back in October. I would have no exercise playlist other than just gravity on loop back then. Now I have a full playlist of all the hazbin songs in chronological order.🤗
