đŐ Üž.ËŹ.ÜžŐ𩯠Nanami Kento ă âžâž.áâ thinking about you in his slumber .⊠ĘË
The golden hour sunlight filtered through the thin curtains, painting soft, amber stripes across the duvet.
Kento was rarely one to lounge, but today, his exhaustion had finally overridden his rigid internal clock.
He was fast asleep, his breathing deep and rhythmic, his hair uncharacteristically disheveled against the pillow.
You were sitting at the edge of the bed, just watching him, when his handâwarm and heavyâsuddenly reached out, his fingers fumbling until they latched onto your wrist.
He didn't wake up; his brows remain slightly furrowed, his subconscious clearly still processing the weight of the world.
Then, he spoke, his voice a low, gravelly hum, thick with the heavy fog of sleep.
âYou're so beautiful, darling...â he mumbled, the words catching in his throat like a secret he hadnât intended to share.
Your breath hitched, and you tried to pull your hand back, but his grip instantly tightened. He shifted, pulling your hand closer to his chest, his cheek nuzzling against your palm.
âSo soft and warm...â he whispered, a ghost of a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "So cold..."
He went quiet for a moment, and you thought he drifted off completely, but then his fingers spammed, digging into your skin with a sudden, desperate urgency.
His voice dropped to a broken, pleading murmur.
âPlease stay... love...â
He turned his head, pressing his face into your arm, his breathing hitching as if he was caught in the middle of a bad dream.
âDon't leave me, please,â he sighed, the words muffled against your skin. âDon't go... I need you here.â
He settled then, his grip loosening as he sunk back into a deep, dreamless slumber.
He wasn't going to remember a single word of this when he wakes up. Heâll be back to his stoic, professional self, checking his watch and talking about overtime. But as you look down at him, your thumb gently brushing over his knuckles, you knew exactly what his heart is holding onto when no one else is looking.

Warnings - Smut, perv!Clark, Perv!reader, fluff, Clark is whiny | WC: 1.4k
Roommate!Clark who... signs the lease almost immediately after touring your flat that looks over the streets of Metropolis. You assume itâs because the apartment is affordable. Really, itâs because your smile makes the cramped tenth-floor flat feel warmer than anywhere else heâs looked. You, meanwhile, canât deny the relief of having someone built like Clark Kent living under the same roof. Just in case.
Roommate!Clark who... slowly warms up to you, a little nervous about how to act around you. Heâd never lived with a woman before, other than his Ma. His small âhelloâ and âgood morningâ evolved into âHowâd you sleep?â and âWhatâs today's agenda?â Youâd watch his cheeks get all rosy as he smiled, his eyes wrinkling in the corners behind his thick glasses. Heâd leave small notes on the counter, a breakfast pastry beside it for when he left extra early in the mornings.Â
Thought you might be hungry! Have a good day! - Clark Kent
Roommate!Clark who... talked about you so much at work that Lois and Jimmy started to think you had a relationship going on.Â
âLast night we watched a movie and had ice cream. I really love this new roommate thing; sheâs just so nice!â he explained cheerfully. Lois and Jimmy gave each other knowing looks, smirking at each other. âAre you sure you arenât attracted to her, Clark?â Lois asked, eyebrow cocked as she sipped from her coffee. His smile faltered, red creeping up to his ears as he shook his head a little too quickly. âNo⊠I mean sheâs pretty, but sheâs my roommate!â As if that was a reasonable excuse. Jimmy gave a half-laugh, half-scoff at how pathetic Clark could be.
Roommate!Clark who... happily listens to you talk about your day. You take turns making dinner, and tonight had been his choice. Clark has cooked up a Kansas custom while you sat at the island, filing your nails and talking about work. He would prompt you with questions and nod along thoughtfully, tucking things away for later.Â
Roommate!Clark who... doesnât know how thoughtful he is, making everything seem like a pleasure. Doing the dishes? Sure! The trash? Consider it done. A high shelf needs dusting? Why didnât you say so!Â
Roommate!Clark who... carried you to bed after you fell asleep on the couch. He can hear your breathing soften and the slow beat of your heart. He wanders from his room, noticing you sleeping soundly. Your show or movie is still going in the background, or a book is sitting face down on your chest. Carefully, he pauses your show or marks your page before he picks you up. So much care into how he holds you in his big arms, trying not to be too abrupt. After tucking you into your bed, he lingers, watching you sleep so⊠peacefully before padding back to his room. The slope of your nose and the way your hair fanned on your pillow made his heart flutter just thinking about it.Â
Roommate!Clark who... falls asleep during movie night, slumping over until his head rested on your shoulder. When he woke up hours later, his nose was greeted with the sweet nature of your natural scent, and panic washed over him. Had he crossed a line? But he was covered in the throw blanket from the arm of the couch; you curled into his side, fast asleep, like it was the most natural thing in the world. He fell back asleep just like that, not having the heart to move.Â
Roommate!Clark who... slowly realizes heâs falling in love with you because of your laugh, how you treat him like heâs somebodyâlike he doesnât fade into the background. You ask him about his day, you fix his tie before work, bring him little presents âjust becauseâ. Clark only had eyes for you. Everyone else blurred into the background.
Roommate!Clark who... obliviously wears his workout shorts around the house, doing chores that accentuate his thighs and butt. Sometimes he stretches, and you can see his shirt come up a little, showing off his abs. His arms nearly bulge out of his shirt, and it drives you up the wall. Itâs a wonder he hasnât caught on yet. Then again, this is the same man who still thinks youâre only being nice because youâre roommates.
Roommate!Clark who... brings you out with his friends, and at work the next day they're all spewing nonsense. âSheâs so into you!â Cat explained the telltale signs that he just brushed off. âDonât be crazy, you guys, sheâd never like a⊠dork, like me!â Jimmy shook his head, âShe had big puppy eyes for you⊠then, when she was a little tipsy, she was drooling over you.
Roommate!Clark who... is oblivious to your attraction, and you're oblivious to his.Â
Roommate!Clark who... tucks your hair behind your ear on accident, starting to stutter, and his ears heat up. He was hardly able to look at you afterwards, but he missed the faint blush on your cheeks. His thoughts were too loud to hear your heartbeat flutter from his sweet action. It had felt so natural.Â
Roommate!Clark who... notices everything you change about yourself. A new hair color? He noticed. New eyeliner idea? Clark was complimenting it. Once he had noticed you switched your foundation shade. He noticed more than any guy ever had before.
Roommate!Clark who... gets jealous after you go on shitty dates. When he hears you crying in your room, Clark creeps in, carefully bringing you to his chest as he fumed about what these men did to you. He wished it was himâthat youâd give him a chance, because he could treat you better than all those sleezy guys you found on dating apps.Â
Roommate!Clark who... goes to the laundry room to fold laundry with you and catches sight of your lacy underwear; his ears burn red as he wonders how many guys youâd tried to impress with those. He couldnât imagine how good youâd look with it on.Â
Roommate!Clark who... accidentally walks in on you in the shower. The steam curls through the room, and all he can see is the outline of your body. He stops like a deer in headlights when you hollar, âClark! Sorry, I forgot to lock the door!â Clark tries to forget your beautiful, beautiful silhouette, begging his body to stay calm. It didnât work, and he felt like a guilty pervert after rubbing one out to the thought of you, whining into his pillow to muffle his pleasure.
Roommate!Clark who... was too oblivious to notice your attraction for him. How youâd been leaving the door unlocked on purpose, how your clothes were only getting more revealing, or the way youâd sway your hips a little extra when you walked. He had always seen you as gorgeous, even without all that extra stuff.
Roommate!Clark who... accidentally let a whine slip one night, and you happened to hear as you walked by. You slipped into his room, eyes big and curious. âClark?â you asked, and he perked up. Hand down his pants down, sweat beading on his forehead as he tried to keep it down. âIâm so sorry! My gosh, Iâll move out noââ you cut him off by slowly walking forward. Settling on the edge of his queen bed, the bed looking little compared to him. âLet me help youâŠâ You whisper, settling next to him as you help him get his pajamas down to his mid-thigh. Big, thick thighs youâd only gotten to admire from afar, his hard cock that youâd only seen through the imprint of his sweatpants. Gently, you help jerk him off until heâs come all over his stomach, his breathing is heavy as he whimpers your name desperately. You help clean him off with a warm rag before settling on his chest.
Roommate!Clark who... walks with more pep in his step, now that you were officially his girlfriend. He had told his Ma and Pa everything; Jimmy and Lois noticed based on how smiley he was. Every day he came home and gave you a deep kiss that made your heart flutter, one packed with more passion than humanly possible. âYou look beautiful⊠How was your day, honey?â he asked, his eyes big and curious.
Roommate!Clark who... still catches himself looking around the apartment sometimes, amazed that this was his home now. Not because of the tenth-floor view or the cheaper rent, but because every morning he gets to wake up next to the person he fell in love with.Â
A/N: Would you guys read a full fic of this... cause he's just so perfect. Whoever originally came up with this idea has my life, literally.

KAKASHI HATAKE
âKakashi.â When he doesnât respond you step closer, chakra flaring in warning so you wonât get stabbed when you reach for him. âCome on, youâll get sick.â
A lone grey eye sliding lazily over your face before flickering back towards the memorial stone is all the acknowledgement you get, but he doesnât put up a fight when you start to push him gently in front of you.
Itâs a slow trudge to your apartment, fingers clenched tightly around the back of his soaking wet jonin vest in case he tries to make a run for it. Except the longer you walk the more apparent it becomes that the only thing keeping him moving is your gentle guiding.
Corralling him into the warmth of your already heated apartment, you triple check the door is locked before dropping to your knees, tugging Kakashiâs shoes off with only a little prompting.
His vest, weapons and shirt come off next as you sit him on one of your two chairs and the pathetic excuse of a dining table.
âStay there.â You threaten, waving a finger in his face even as his gaze remains largely vacant. It only takes a second to grab a pile of freshly washed towels and some clothes and a face mask, dumping them on the table as you start with his sodden hair.
Kakashi doesnât fight as you dry his hair then upper half but he doesnât help either. Itâs not until you hand him a new towel and a pair of pants that he kicks into gear slowly.
Leaving him to his own devices, you head into the kitchen thanking the gods that youâve still got some leftover soup from yesterday.
Itâs nothing special, but given Kakashiâs abhorrent inability to care for himself in this state itâs certainly better than anything heâd manage.
You take your time dishing it out and heating it up, kicking up a cacophony in the kitchen as you do.
âOrder up!â You cheer, sliding the bowl in front of him, gathering up the wet clothes and towels and shuffling towards the laundry.
Mournfully, you imagine the warm shower youâd otherwise be having before drying yourself off and changing into a fluffy set of pyjamas, kitten slippers on your feet as you shuffle back out to check on him.
To your surprise, most of the soup's already been eaten, the new face mask remaining untouched as Kakashi slowly finishes the meal, almost as if he's savouring the taste.
âWhose clothes are these?â The question startles you almost as much as the sudden clarity in his gaze.
âGenma's, I think? I figured his clothes would be the closest in size.â
âYou think?â His brow furrows. âWho else's clothes do you have?â
âGai, um, Aoba. They stay the night sometimes.â You shrug, reaching for the now-empty bowl, rinsing it a little before dumping it in the sink; you'll deal with it later.
Back turned, you don't notice the tension lining Kakashi's frame, brows drawn and frowning at the thought of other men getting so close to you.
They stayed the night? What did you mean by that?
He's seen Genma flirt with you several times, but surely you hadn't actually fallen for it? and did you say Gai?
Unaware of his inner spiral/ongoing murder plots, you usher Kakashi up and down the hallway, not seeing the pink flush covering his cheeks when you usher him into your bedroom.
âYou can sleep in here tonight; I'll take the couch.â You don't make it more than three steps before a hand locks around your wrist, and you're tugged backward into a warm chest.
The world tilts briefly as you find yourself suddenly on your mattress, Kakashi curled restrictively around you like a limpet.
âWhat, do you think you're doing?â
Kakashi hums, snuggling into your side like he's trying to burrow under your skin, âstaying the night.â
His arms tighten the second you try to squirm away, and you sigh, resigning yourself to a long night.
Kakashi's gone in the morning, and you almost write the whole thing off as some strange dream. Except when you stumble into your apartment the next night, exhausted and ready to crawl into bed, Kakashi's already there.
You should've left him in the rain.
KISUKE URAHARA
âAlright, enough is enough.â Kisuke barely has any time to register the door to his office being thrown open, let alone your words, before a hand is yanking the blanket off his shoulders and dragging him outside into the blinding light.
Blinking furiously, he tries to adjust to the light, stumbling over himself as he blearily registers that it's you who's got him by the collar.
âHow long are you going to keep moping around? Yoruichi had to come annoy me into visiting; you're lucky it wasn't Hiyori.â
âWhat are youââ Kisuke stammers as you manhandle him into sitting at the small table, trailing off when he sees the bowl of admittedly tantalising smelling soup.
âWell? Are you going to just sit there and stare like an idiot? Eat up.â
âYou made this...for me?â
âNo, I made it for the next-door neighbour. What do you think?!â There's an adorably angry furrow to your brow, and part of him wants to cry; it's a sight he never thought he'd see again. Not after he's so thoroughly failed to fix what Aizen's done to you.
âOi, what's with the weird look?â
âAh, I'm just surprised; I didn't know you could cook.â As expected, your eyes twitched furiously, and Kisuke felt his heart lighten in the presence of your anger.
âKisukeââ Before you can start screaming at him properly, Kisuke launches himself at you, wrapping his arms around your waist and rubbing his cheek into your belly.
âSo cute! Who knew you cared so much about little ole me?â
âLet go, you freak!â
âHaha, never!â He cheered, squeezing you even tighter when you try to squirm away.
âHow someone like you was ever made a captain is beyond me!â You bring a fist down on his head, but just like your voice is lacking true heat, you're not truly aiming to hurt him.
Hundreds of years spent by his side in Squad Two under Yoruichi mean that Kisuke can see right through that mask you're projecting.
You've been taking care of him for longer than Kisuke cared to admit; it was probably time he started to repay the favour.
Kisuke really doesn't understand why you start screaming at him whenever you wake up, only to find him hovering over your bed, plate of breakfast already lovingly prepared by him.
HAL JORDAN
It's been months since you've seen Hal Jordan. You hadn't even heard he was back planetside, so to see him suddenly during a league meeting was unexpected.
A meeting you can barely concentrate on with him sitting there looking so... pathetic.
You suspect he's trying to hide it, but it would be impossible for you to ignore the bags under his eyes, barely hidden by his mask, the week-old stubble lining his jaw and the grease in his hair.
Hal looks rough, and you can hazard a guess as to why.
It's not the first time Hal's spent long stints of time in space, and if trends are being followed, he's probably lost his apartment.
Watching him linger behind uncertainly as the rest of the league filters out of the conference room has you sighing, already trying not to regret your decision. âHal, come on, dinner's on me.â
You motion for him to follow with a tilt of your head, not waiting for him to make up his mind as you head for the zeta tube. It takes him a few moments, but eventually you hear hurried footsteps as Hal sidles up to you.
âWell, I'll never turn down free food.â He slings an arm around your shoulder casually.
âChange of plans.â You duck out from beneath him. âWe're going back to mine so you can shower first; you stink.â
Hal's offended sputters are drowned out by the zeta tube thrumming to life, spitting you out a few streets over from your home. You continue walking, unhindered by Hal's insistence that he doesn't stink, even as he surreptitiously sniffs himself.
It's a silent walk from there, Hal shifting awkwardly behind you as you fiddle with your keys. âYou can calm down; I've made us invisible to everyone else. Nobody will even notice the Green Lantern's in Gotham.â
âBruce will notice.â
âWhat, you scared of the bat?â You usher him inside, trying not to smile at his indignance.
âNo, I just don't want to deal with him being a dick about it.â
âAw, poor baby. Don't worry, I'll fend off the Dark Knight for you.â
âMy hero.â Hal deadpans, and you snort, pushing him into your bathroom.
âYou can get started. There's spare towels already folded beneath the counter, and I'll bring you some clothes.â
âYou have men's clothes lying around?â Hal tries not to pull a face at that, watching as yous crounge through some drawers.
âPicked up a few items over the years,â you throw back without looking away from your current task, âhope you don't mind boxers.â
Hal doesn't dignify that with an answer, blinking as you shove a pile of clothes into his arms, still a little overwhelmed that he's somehow ended up in your apartment.
âHurry up. I'll see what I can put together for dinner.â
Leaving him alone with his thoughts, Hal mechanically sets about the task set before him, groaning when the hot water pours over aching muscles.
Part of him wants to stay under the warm spray for hours, but the ache in his stomach and the promise of food eventually lure him out and into the kitchen.
âSmells good.â He clears his throat, watching as you whip around with wide eyes, plate in hand.
âOh, you're done. Have a seat, I'll wash your clothes.â You trade the plate for the pile of clothes he's awkwardly clinging to. Watching as you clamber down the hallway, Hal woodenly takes a seat at the kitchen counter.
Hal would like to say he was polite and waited until you got back, but the hunger wins out, and he devours the steak like a beast.
âNobody's taking it from you.â Your amused voice has him flushing, his jaw slowing even as you smile. Taking his plate to slide another steak and some roast vegetables from a container of leftovers onto it before sliding it back in front of him.
âIt's not much, but anything else would have taken too long.â
âIt's great. Delicious.â He rushes to assure between swallowing bites.
âYou really don't have to flatter me.â
âI'm not, it's the best thing I've tasted in months.â He earnestly states, something solemn in his gaze that has you softening.
âHal.â You hesitate a little, turning your back to the stove so you won't see his expression. âI've got a spare room...you can stay for as long as you need.â
âIâThat's not really necessary, I'llââ
âHal.â You spin around, gaze narrowed. âJust accept the help.â
He withers under your gaze, because privately, Hal's aware he's not in a position to refuse.
For all his initial reticence, Hal sure does enjoy spending the next five months living under your roof, eating your cooking and generally demanding your attention 24/7.
Oliver makes a joke that you're practically a couple at this point, and to your dismay, you don't necessarily hate the considering glimmer in Hal's eyes at the thought.
Jason grumbled while looking away. Bruce had been wrapped around you like a draped cape with his face buried in your neck for the past five minutes and his arms only tugged you closer at Jason's words. Bruceâs voice rumbled like thunder in the distance,
âYour mother is my wife, Jason. Youâll understand when you get married.â
Jason stormed out of the manor with a scowl. Bruce clung to you like plastic wrap at every opportunity, and the kids all hated it.
Damian walked into the room, saw Bruce holding you against his chest, and left quickly. He had to shove Tim out of the way in his rapid retreat, but Tim didnât understand the warning until he also witnessed his parental figures acting like lovesick teenagers. He ran away quickly, cringing at the sound of you kissing anywhere you could lazily reach.
If either of you noticed your kids running away, neither of you acknowledged it.
Bruce kissed your forehead and rubbed smooth circles on your hips with his thumbs. His smile was small, but warm. It looked like it was an entire subconscious smile, filled with nothing but a warm love.
Bruce kissed you when he was certain there were no children in the room. You melted into him almost immediately. Your kiss always made him feel loved. It soothed him and he couldnât get enough of it.
Bruceâs kiss still felt like home despite the years that you have spent together. Your love for him had only grown as the years went by. Bruce held like you were precious, He never wanted to let you go and he was never leaving.
Bruce originally worried that you would cast him aside when Dick first came into your life, but your love didnât leave him for even one second. Your love merely spread like an ink blot rather than transferring fully.
âI love you, darling.â
Bruceâs deep voice vibrated against your skin. You smiled fondly at your husband while sliding your hand into his own. Bruce lightly squeezed your hand in response. He was about to kiss you when the door to the manor slammed upon and they heard Dickâs cheerful voice,
âItâs fine, Wally. Everybody is too busy on a case.â
Dick finally noticed his parental figures, cuddling what he deemed suspiciously close. Wally was behind him and entered the manor through the other door when Dick froze in the doorway, blocking his view.
Wally gave a slow whistle once he saw the couple. He had always teased Dick that his mom was a total milf and Dick always punched him for it. Wally only stopped when Bruce gave him a Batman Glareâą that could make even Zeus second guess his choices.
You rolled your eyes, but didnât move when Bruce shifted into a more possessive form. Your hand trailed up his arm all the way to the back of his neck. Your fingers lightly massaged the area while you murmured in a reassuring tone,
âIâm never leaving, darling.â
Bruce softened his cold glare when his eyes turned to you again. He took a deep breath and buried his face in the junction between your neck and shoulder. He kissed the spot lazily, ignoring Dickâs disgusted expression entirely. Dick grabbed Wally by his shirt and borderline ran away. He did NOT need to see his parentsâ disgusting love.
You didnât appear to care. Not when Bruceâs warm body seemed to be attempting to engulf you in a mission to get you impossibly closer. You would have laughed if his arms werenât so soothing.
âI wonât be taking chances, my love.â
Bruce finally said after a long pause. It didnât matter that you were actively trying to fuse your bodies together or that you were kissing him anywhere you could reach without moving out of his embrace. He wasnât going to risk losing you if he could help it.
Bruce was going to show his love and appreciation every single day regardless of how much the kids hate it. He didnât care how the Justice League reacts nor does he care how often the press caught his clinginess. There was nothing that would stop Bruce from expressing his love for you or defending it.
âI love you more every day.â
You told Bruce before kissing him. You both ignored Bruceâs second phone aggressively buzzing. That was the phone Bruce only used for Batman business. Bruce looked at it, but he didnât make a move to answer it. He lazily traced circles on the back of your thighs and kissed your shoulder. He dismissed it by saying,
âHal wanted to start a group chat for easy communication. If they want to talk to me for help, they can call me.â
You gave Bruce a small hum of acknowledgement. You had been slowly falling asleep in his arms. His warm body acted like a blanket and the repetitive motion of his thumbs allowed you to focus on it like counting sheep.
Bruce gave you a knowing smile as your eyes closed and you melted further into his arms. He kissed your eyelids gently once he was sure you were asleep and wouldn't wake up by it. He whispered lovingly,
âI will always love you. Nobody could replace you in my heart.â
You smiled in your sleep and nestled your face into the crook of his neck. Bruce felt his heart full with warmth in a way he only ever felt around you, the love of his life and the only one who he would deem his true soulmate if he allowed himself to believe in such a thing.
Bruce knew that he couldnât love anyone else and he wouldnât want to. He didnât care that his kids groaned whenever they saw you bury yourself in Bruceâs embrace and even tried to claim once that your display of affection was psychologically cruel to your children.
This did not stop either of you, unfortunately for your beautiful children. It only got worse. There was no stopping either of you from being affectionate.
No matter where you were or what you were doing, Bruce would inevitably make his way to you and you do the same to him. It was like trying to separate magnets once it started.
Bruce didn't care about the countless photos taken of you leaning into his embrace or both of you kissing under an umbrella that he insisted on bringing. He cherished every tender moment and no one was going to end it on his watch.
roommate!suguru geto and her exhibitionism problems ê° à Ë. á”á”
cw: mdni, fem!suguru, thigh riding, art by suguruboobs
You like your roommate, you really do, she keeps everything tidy, cooks for you in the weekends and she has picked you up from parties when you're wasted. She's almost like a friend to you. Because there's this minor inconvenience with her that makes you just a little bit uncomfortable.
She likes to walk around naked in your apartment, with zero shame. Sometimes she's with her tits out and panties, other times she's wearing a bra but with her pussy bare, most of the times she's just fully nude.
And you really want to hate it, but how could you when Suguru has the most amazing body you've ever seen. Her breasts are round and perky, big enough to bounce while she walks, same with her ass, perfect to grab and knead. Thick strong thighs and arms because she works out (also naked in your living room) and her pussy... gosh, she has the prettiest trimmed bush that peeks a little when she wears panties that makes your mouth water.
You feel like a pervert every goddamn time, even after she told you that she doesn't care that you stare at her. But just her sight makes you so fucking wet. You're having breakfast just before leaving for work and she shows up in the kitchen with her long inky hair up in a loose bun, her bare hips swaying around the kitchen while she scrambles some eggs.
You've warned her so many times that she's going to get burned before and it finally happens, a big drop of hot oil splashed in her skin, making her curse and whine in pain.
"Fucking hell," she mutters, wiping away the oil from her injured skin. She turns to you with a pout, leaning into the counter. "Girl, I've burned."
You open your mouth but she's faster. "Skip the 'I told ya' and just help me, I can't treat it right myself."
You huff a laugh and take her to the bed. The burn isn't that bad and it should be fine with just cold water and cream, you definitely didn't need to take her to your bed, laying her down and apply it yourself. Actually, she could have done it all by herself. But now you have an injured naked and gorgeous woman in your bed, her hair falling in your pillow in such beautiful shapes. Your thighs press together before you can help yourself, oh and she notices.
She's sprawled on your sheets with one arm tucked behind her head so her chest rises all pretty and full. You focus on applying the cool cream to her stomach, trying not to let your touch linger too much.
Out of nowhere she tilts her head and asks, "Are you a lesbian?"
You blink hard, fingers freezing right there on her warm skin. "Excuse me? Why would you even ask that?"
She gives you a lazy little smile, making her lips look extra soft.
"Come oooon. None of my other roommates could handle me walking around like this. They'd get all weird and awkward, covering their eyes or telling me to put clothes on every five seconds." Her voice drops a notch. "But you keep letting me do it without complaining once. That's pretty lesbian to me."
Heat floods your face so fast you swear you could cook eggs on your cheeks. She's right. God, she's so right. You've been the world's biggest lesbian since the first day she dropped her towel like it was nothing, and every naked breakfast or living-room workout has only made it worse.
You swallow, nod once, small and embarrassed. "I mean, yeah I am. So? what?"
Suguru's smile grows, she shifts on the bed, thighs parting just a little so you catch a glimpse of that pretty bush you can't stop thinking about. "Cool. So do you wanna get naked too?"
Your brain short-circuits. You sit there with the cream tube still in your hand, staring at her dumbfounded. "Huh?"
She laughs softly and reaches up to play with one of your curls. Her fingers brush your cheek and stay there. "I'm saying I want to fuck you, silly. If you want that too."
Your mouth goes dry but your body answers to her before your mouth does, already leaning into her.
You manage a shaky little laugh. "You're... really direct."
"Life's too short to burn myself twice," she whispers, eyes flicking to your lips. Her hand slides down your arm, thumb stroking slow circles that feel way too good. "C'mere already. Let me see you."
You take a deep breath as you peel your clothes from your body, showing her your naked body for the first time. She whistles low, looking you up and down as she takes your wrist and tugs you down on the bed. You're straddling her lap now, your pussy grazing her thighs and your tits hovering her face.
"You're beautiful. How could you hid this from me?" she says, looking down at your tits and pussy.
You bite your lip, already feeling that familiar flush creep up your neck. Suguru notices right away, of course she does. She tilts her head with this playful smirk, eyes sparkling like she's enjoying every second of your embarrassment.
"So tell me," she whispers, "what do you want to do to me? Or what do you want me to do to you? I do both but you gotta be specific."
Your mouth opens but nothing comes out except a tiny squeak. She chuckles softly, squeezing your hips. "Aw, look at you getting all shy. It's cute, but I need words."
"I... I don't know," you mumble, shifting on her lap. The way your bare pussy brushes against her strong thigh makes it hard to think straight.
Suguru leans up a little, lips brushing your collarbone. "How about you ride my thigh? Have you ever done that?"
You nod so fast it makes your head spin, heat rushing straight between your legs. "Yeah. Please."
She grins, settling back against the pillows and guiding you into position. One of her hands stays on your hip while the other slides up to cup your breast, thumb teasing your nipple. You start moving, sliding your slick folds along her firm thigh. It feels so good already, warm skin against your most sensitive spot.
"So obedient," she whispers, voice dropping into something filthy and intimate right by your ear. "Bet you've been thinking about this every time I walked around naked, huh? Rubbing your thighs together in your room after I left the kitchen."
You moan her name, "S-Suguru," all breathy and desperate as you pick up the pace. Your hips roll faster, chasing that friction. She feels incredible under you, muscle flexing every time you press down.
"What? Do you think I didn't notice how you eye-fucked me every time you could?" she says, licking and biting your earlobe while her hands guide you to grind faster.
"Suguru, please!" you whine again, her name being the only thing in your head.
"Mmm, say it louder," she teases, nipping at your earlobe. "Want the neighbors to know who's making you feel this good."
Whines spill from your lips as you ride her harder, tits bouncing with every grind. She keeps whispering all those dirty little things that make your head fuzzy. "Good girl. So eager. Bet you wanna cum all over my thigh like the horny girl you are."
"Mhm," you nod as needy as ever. "I'm close hah I'm sooo close!"
Her hands help you to grind faster while her thigh tenses and relaxes, adding more to the feeling.
It doesn't take long before everything tightens up inside you. You moan her name again, louder this time, body shaking as the orgasm crashes through you. Your hips stutter and press down hard, riding it out while she holds you close, murmuring praises against your neck.
"That's my girl," she tells you, rubbing your back and kissing your temple.
You slump against her chest afterward, breathing heavy, face buried in her shoulder. Suguru tilts your chin up so you're looking right into her eyes.

Morning coffee truly smoothed all wounds. Especially those of pride.
You brought it out a little late when the sun had begun to show her face and Marcoâs feathers burned brighter than the stars against the morning sky. You put it down on the usual barrel, tilted your head to the sky and watched him dip and roll through the wind.
He lazily soared overhead, his pattern unpredictable as he drew closer. His feathers brushed your head before he landed beside you.
âAn apology,â you said as you held out his cup.
He accepted it with a smile. âNo need yoi. I wanted to give you a heads up that today weâll be shuffling some of your crew around the divisions to see if you fit in better somewhere else. Youâll be going with the third division to choose some lumber for repairs.â
âOf course,â you said. âJust what I know so much about. Are we sinking?â
âWeâre just replacing some wear on our hull,â he said. âBut Jozu will explain more when he tells you about your work today.â
You raised an eyebrow. âYou told me before he could?â
Marco smiled. âThere are benefits to having coffee with me before I speak to the others.â
âSounds like blatant bribery,â you hummed. âI didnât know you were so corruptible, commander. Everybody here would be shocked to know.â
Amusement flashed over his expression for a second at the official title and you smiled. He seemed to not know how to deal with you when you said it like that. Another small fact you could file away next to the rest of your more pointless intelligence.
âMaybe theyâd believe you,â he said. âThey all seem to be quite convinced Iâm losing my mind from exhaustion. They staged an intervention yesterday evening.â
You laughed at that and Marco chuckled softly in response. The wind rustled through your clothes and his hair.
âI imagine it was because you nearly drowned half of the twelfth division?â
He looked mildly offended at your implication but his smile remained in place. âI know where Iâm flying yoi. I would have only caught you.â
âNo,â you corrected. âYou would have missed me. You did miss me.â
âIt was a slow dive. I was checking if youâd learned your lesson from the first time.â
You rolled your eyes. He hadnât been moving slowly at all; youâd just tempted him into taking an opportunity that was right in front of him. The fact that half the maps went flying spoke fully to that.
âIf youâd like to try it again, youâre welcome to,â you teased. âMaybe I can practise with the local gulls on shore. Iâll take some food and see if I can dodge them.â
He huffed. âIâm much faster than a gull.â
âYou clearly havenât met enough gulls then. Or enough motivated ones.â
âThey wonât be around anyway. Most smaller birds disappear when Iâm in the area.â
You paused. A beam of sunlight landed on your boots, warmth creeping across the deck as the morning started properly. The light caught in his hair, pulling out the same gold that edged his feathers. It was a strange detail but one you filed away.
âYour influence stretches that far from the ship?â
âIâll be supervising the visit. Part of the intervention was they insisted I take breaks, yoi, and so Iâm going to join Jozuâs division for time away from the ship.â
âOh, is that why Iâm invited along?â
He shrugged but the movement was a touch too casual to be believable. âCanât let you run around the ship without me here. Iâll come back and find a net hanging over my office chair.â
âBeartrap would work better,â you hummed. âIâve already got you looking up. But if Iâm rotating through the divisions, when do I get to follow you around for a day? Youâll remember Iâm quite interested in learning about⊠medical things.â
âYouâre observant enough for it but you spend far too much of your time watching me. Itâll make a workplace hazard.â
You inclined your head. âOnce Iâve caught you, I wonât have a reason to be distracted.â
âIf, you catch me,â he corrected you. âThen youâll have no reason to pretend youâre interested in my work anyway.â
You chuckled and took a sip from your coffee. âI donât know. Iâm sure there are other motivations. What time do we leave today?â
Your answer ended up delayed by a ship-wide earthquake that sent you stumbling into the barrel, coffee sloshing over your hand. You hissed in complaint. Ace⊠Seriously, his vendetta against Whitebeard was starting to annoy even you.
Blue flames caught on Marcoâs hand. He reached out to your burn without even looking and the agitated skin soothed immediately. Like plunging your arm into warm water, the flames licked over the injury until it barely remained.
âIâll go check on that, yoi,â Marco said. âIâll have somebody find you later.â
You smiled and dried your hand on a nearby cloth. âI look forward to it.â
By late morning, you were walking through a timber market with the third division, surrounded by stripped logs, towering stacks of planks and the sharp resinous smell of newly cut wood. Saws rasped from open workshops while cart wheels knocked over the uneven boards laid across the mud. You liked the division well enough, but their work was infernally dull, and before long you had abandoned the finer points of hull repair in favour of turning a small carved horse over between your fingers.
The market should have been thick with gulls. Instead, their cries came faintly from farther along the shore, leaving the sky above the stalls strangely empty beneath the shadow circling overhead.
The light dimmed over the carving in your hands. You tilted your head back and found Marco banking above the island, broad wings catching the sun until blue and gold burned along their edges.
âAre you sure itâs safe?â a nearby lumber merchant asked.
Jozu sighed. âYes, heâs fine.â
âHe knows how to keep a low profile,â you commented.
âIndeed,â the other commander grumbled.
âItâs a truly beautiful bird,â the woman you had been speaking to said and you nodded.
âI know,â you replied. âAnd unfortunately, he knows too.â
You hadnât been aware that when Marco said âsupervisionâ, he meant he would be flying around as a giant bird. Then again, it might not have been normal even for the other Whitebeard Pirates who kept glancing up nervously.
âI think he came with just to fly,â Jozu said as he paid for the lumber. âAnd supervision was some kind of excuse.â
âThought he needed a break,â you mentioned.
âThat too,â Jozu agreed although he gave you a slightly suspicious look.
That probably wasnât knowledge you should have but oh well. âNot sure what makes this any different from his normal flight. He could soar just as easily around the ship.â
You wondered how good Marcoâs hearing was. He was considerably high up and the noise from the market was loud. Sawing wood, yelling, and the rattling of cart wheels could easily steal your voice. But you were suspicious about that because you couldnât imagine him as the type to allow discussions to go on without hearing them.
You kept your gaze fixed on his silhouette. There was one easy way to find out.
Jozu chuckled and picked up a rather large crate, shoving it onto the back of a nearby cart with a puff of straw. âI think heâs making a show of ârelaxingâ so everybody leaves him be.â
âOr heâs showing off,â you suggested. âNot that itâs too impressive, anyway.â
âYou donât think so?â
You shrugged, eyes never dropping from Marcoâs silhouette. âItâs just that I donât see flying as interesting, anyway. Itâs overrated. You could use it to scout, sure, but itâs as easy to see things from the top of a tree.â
Jozu dusted his hands and reached for another crate. âMaybe. I hate heights, so Iâve never seen the appeal.â
Marcoâs circles were getting closer. The others in the market were noticing too. They kept glancing up toward the sky as the shadow grew bigger and bigger. You looked up and you met his gaze.
You raised an eyebrow.
His wings folded tight against his body.
Shouts broke across the market. Jozuâs hand snapped to his weapon as he searched for a threat that was already falling toward you. You bent to slip beneath the dive, but Marco opened his wings at the last possible second and twisted through the air, turning with your movement instead of passing over it.
His talons closed around your upper arms and sides. Heat and pressure locked against you, too carefully controlled to pierce and far too strong to fight. His next wingbeat struck the market like a sudden storm. Straw lifted, wood shavings spun across the ground and your boots left the boards before you could drag in a full breath.
The world dropped away.
The cry that tore from you never became more than a choked gasp. Your legs swung beneath him while the lumberyard shrank into stacks of pale timber and moving dots. Your stomach seemed to remain somewhere below. You caught at one scaled leg with both hands, fingers locking so tightly your knuckles blanched as the wind clawed at your clothes.
Fear cinched around your throat. The trees flattened into a single mass of green and the rivers became bright threads cutting through it. Even the Moby Dick looked small from here, resting in the deeper water like a childâs model.
âCalm down, yoi. Iâm not going to drop you.â
His voice pulled your attention upward. Blue fire had retreated from his face and torso, leaving his wings and legs transformed while he watched you with maddening calm. His grip had not shifted once. You forced your fingers to loosen around his leg one at a time, and the panic in your chest slowly stopped climbing.
His wings kept a steady beat, holding you securely beneath him.
This angle really suited him.
âI knew you could hear me,â you said. âDidnât expect to get stolen though.â
âThought Iâd show you some of the flight you care so little about,â he chuckled. âItâs far more effective for scouting than a tree.â
You dragged your attention away from him, looking over the island around you. âMaybe. But most of itâs just smudges.â
Marco looked past you toward the ground. âLike this, yes. But fully transformed, I could see every individual person down there. Even from this height.â
You adjusted yourself and smiled. âGood eyesight too? I should really get your brothers to force you to take a break more. I get so much information without even trying.â
âThe eyesight was obvious, yoi,â he said though his voice was laced with amusement. He lifted his legs a little. âDo you want to keep hanging there or would you like a more comfortable seat?â
You couldnât see how you would possibly adjust your position. His arms were very much covered in feathers and you werenât about to clamber up him.
âWhy? Getting tired of holding me already?â
He grinned and suddenly let go of one of your arms. You grabbed the leg still holding you, nails digging into him as you swayed in the air. Your stomach plummeted and he tossed his head back in a laugh when you glared up at him.
âNot at all, yoi. I could keep you here forever.â
You muttered a curse at him and his grin only grew wider. But despite that, you found yourself smiling back instead of being too annoyed. The ground felt a lot further than it should have been but his talons were unwavering around your arm. A hot pull had started deep in your shoulder, sharpening whenever the wind swung your weight beneath him.
âIf you drop me, youâre explaining it to your captain,â you warned him. âAnd you canât blame it on a random bird. Other people witnessed my kidnapping.â
âYouâre banking on witnesses? Why not count on my good nature?â
âYouâre dangling me in the air,â you huffed. âYour good nature isnât going to be enough. Consequences are my only hope.â
Marco hummed. âThis means I have two points now, doesnât it? After the first time I caught you, I thought you might learn. For a great hunter, you seem to struggle against prey that can catch you back.â
He was far too arrogant about this. You met his smug gaze and knew you had to find a way to get rid of that smirk. But it would have to wait until you figured out how to get out of the sky with your dignity intact.
The wind blew around you, strong enough to tug at your clothes. Your shoulder was really starting to ache; the discomfort interfering with how refreshing the breeze truly was.
âPatience,â you said, finally. âI only need to catch you properly once.â
âOh? And then what?â he asked. âI need some ideas for what to do with you now after all.â
His free foot curled around your torso, talons spread carefully across your waist so the points never touched skin. You jumped, not expecting the warmth of his talons where they wrapped around your waist to support you better. The weight adjustment made you breathe a sigh of relief, arm far less strained even if you were now at a bit of an angle.
âBetter?â he asked.
âMuch,â you said. âYouâre not meant to have a heart for your prey, you know. Most birds just rip things limb from limb.â
He grinned. âI considered it but it would be far too much work to explain. I caught Thatch like this once when we were younger. The higher we climbed, the stronger the urge got to drop him. Prey isnât meant to come back down alive, yoi. Thatâs why most people ride on my back.â
You didnât know how you felt about that when you were dangling in his claws. But he hadnât dropped you yet so⊠you focused on that rather than the alternative.
âDidnât realise you were a carrier pigeon.â
âIâve had this fruit for thirty years. You think Iâve never had to give one of my brothers a lift?â
You tapped your fingers against his leg. âThirty years? WowâŠâ
His eyes narrowed. âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â
âNothing, nothing.â
The talon around your torso jostled you playfully. Your stomach flipped but you kept your smile firmly on your face. Despite his complaint, his smile hadnât faltered in the slightest and you took that as a sign you could continue.
âI was just thinking,â you continued. âThe next time you cover those grey hairs, you might want something a little less yellow. At your age, distinguished would suit you better than tropical fruit.â
He clicked his tongue in faux annoyance but laughed a second later as though he couldnât maintain the act. âYouâre very confident for a woman thatâs entirely at my mercy right now.â
âYou remember where we are?â you asked. âThatâs really good. I know your brothers are worried about your mind fading but this is a good sign.â
Marcoâs smile shifted and the beat of his wings adjusted. âYou know, you might be right. I think Iâve forgotten where I picked you up from. Let me try and remember.â
Flames curled over his body; a beautiful bird appearing in his place. He extended his wings and dropped, talons tightening around your chest as he suddenly dived.
The fear from the climb had burned away, leaving only the thrill of speed and the certainty of his hold. With his talons secure around you, the height no longer felt so threatening. You could almost admit he had proved his point. Flying was far better than sitting at the top of a tree, especially when he was the one doing all the work.
The lumberyard flashed beneath you and vanished behind the trees. Marco kept going until the forest gave way to pale sand and dark rock, then swept lower as the ocean rushed up beneath you. His pace eased above the shallows, each beat of his wings broader and slower as sunlight fractured across the water.
Then he let go.
You had only a second to twist your head up to him in betrayal before you splashed into the water below. It wasnât deep at all but the tide immediately tangled you, flipping you over once before you managed to get to your feet and coughed up a mouthful of sea water. The waves lapped around your hips as he landed on a nearby rock above the surf; a pleased trill rumbling through him.
The sound was entertaining enough that you couldnât even be that annoyed, laughing in turn.
He transformed back, smile pleased but slightly guilty. âYou alright, yoi?â
A wave hit your back and you picked up your shirt slightly, twisting the fabric even though the action was pointless. âYou dropped me in the ocean?â
âI thought you looked a bit hot.â
You waded through the water toward where he was standing; the sand difficult to walk through and salt lingering on your tongue.
Marco held out his hand and you took it, his palm warm against your own. Shivers moved through his forearm the moment you made contact. His body still didnât appreciate the sea water clinging to your skin.
Instead of climbing out though, you braced one foot against the rock he was standing on and leaned back with a small tug.
âIt is hot and the waterâs lovely,â you said. âWhy donât you join me?â
Marcoâs gaze flicked to the ocean for a second before he smiled, loose and comfortable. âTempting, but swimmingâs never agreed with me.â
âIâm sure I could change your mind,â you offered and you walked your free hand over his wrist, watching the reflexive shudder in his arm. âI find it does wonders to cool me down when Iâm getting heated.â
âThat doesnât look much like swimwear, yoi.â
âWonder whose fault that is. Though itâs not unfixable. Iâll just take the outer layers off and let them dry in the sun.â
Interest caught in his gaze before he could hide it, his attention dipping toward your body before he forcefully redirected it to your face. âIâm surprised you donât have swimwear on you. Arenât you meant to be prepared for any situation?â
âWell, if my quarry gets stranded at sea, I donât think Iâd be able to swim him to shore,â you said. âIâm a strong swimmer but heâs a bit heavy.â
âIâve actually been told Iâm lighter as a bird,â he said. âThough maybe not with waterlogged feathers.â
âWe should see.â
You tugged again. Marco answered with enough strength to lift you toward him, and you let the momentum carry you onto the rock. Your foot found slick stone instead of solid footing. It slid beneath you and your shoulder struck his chest hard enough to drive him back half a step.
His hand left yours and caught your waist. Your palms landed against his shoulders as he pulled you firmly against him, keeping both of you clear of the water.
Wet cloth pressed cold between your bodies. His skin remained warm beneath it, almost hot, and droplets gathered along his collarbone before slipping beneath the open edge of his vest. His arm shuddered where it held you, but his grip only tightened.
You looked up to meet his eyes. âSomething wrong?â you asked. âDidnât think you were the type to be intimidated by a woman being a little wet.â
He chuckled softly. âIâm perfectly fine, yoi. I already told you a few drops wonât do much to me.â
You stepped closer, moving until you were fully pressed against him; soaked clothes resting against his skin as you smiled. âWhat about now?â
His eyes darkened and his gaze dipped down before his attention suddenly snapped over your shoulder. Marco shook his head as though coming out of a daze and the hand around your waist stabilised you before he moved away.
âIâll bring you something dry.â
He transformed in a rush of blue flame, shooting up into the sky with a beat of his wings. You turned your head to watch him go, fire catching against the clouds. Then you noticed the small group approaching along the beach and the interaction suddenly made perfect sense.
You slipped from the rock and waded your way back to the shore. Without the distraction of Marco, the annoyance of sand in your hair and clothes was quickly getting to you.
âIf itâs okay with you, Iâd like to request permission to go and change,â you said to Jozu.
He looked at you and then back toward the sky where Marco had disappeared. âGo change. Did he drop you in the water?â
Ah, that probably did look a little strange to an outsiderâs perspective.
You pressed your lips together and tried to seem unbothered. âI was moving around a lot and I sort of squirmed out of his hold. We were barely above the water anyway so⊠heâs going off to get me something dry.â
Jozu didnât seem convinced in the slightest. âIâve watched Marco carry men double your weight with ease,â he said. âThereâs no way you managed to just drop free.â
You shrugged. âIâm quite squirrely.â
He hummed and nodded. âGo ahead,â he said. âBut I need to speak to Pops about this.â
You winced in sympathy. Marco absolutely had another intervention coming his way. You just wondered if theyâd realised who the common denominator in his apparently âoddâ behaviour was.
Hi, I need ANYTHING for Kid please and thank you đâŁïž
Disease of the Stubborn (Kid x Reader)
One Piece | Eustass Kid | 5.4k | Masterlist
The infirmary was barely lit, the only light coming from an oil lamp flickering at your elbow. It stretched the shadows of bottles and instruments across the steel walls until every shelf looked longer than it was. Antiseptic still stung the back of your nose from where youâd dropped the bottle earlier, sharp enough to cut through the oil and salt that usually clung to the Victoria Punk.
You sorted through supplies carefully. Bottles that had expired went into a heavy crate, clinking against each other. You wrote the names of emptied boxes carefully into a notebook before stacking them beneath the desk. It was tiring, repetitive work, but counting bottles and scratching down figures kept your thoughts moving in straight lines.
And you needed it occupied because otherwise⊠well, you had a lot to wonder about.
Youâd found a petal earlier that day.
Not strange by itself although the bright red colour had caught your eye. Blood at the edge made you suspicious, even as you let it flutter off the edge of the balcony into the water below.
Thankfully, the source didnât keep you waiting for long before it stormed its way in.
Kid never opened doors quietly. He always flung them open with enough force that you imagined he meant to rip them off entirely. You startled, hand bumping into a collection of small syringes. They scattered over the floor and you sighed.
âEvening,â you said as you knelt down to collect them. âHave you cut off a finger?â
Kid glared at you. A faint flush sat high across his face and his breathing came heavier than it should have, though heâd only crossed the doorway. Worse was the uncertainty beneath his glare. It looked so unnatural on him that you kept watching as you gathered the syringes from the floor.
âNeed to talk to you.â
âAbout?â
He opened his mouth and almost immediately, a rough cough tore its way from his chest. His hand flew to his mouth. It was an awful, wet and choking sound. You winced in sympathy.
âYouâre sick,â you said, walking over slowly. âAny other symptoms aside from the cough?â
âFuck off,â he muttered.
âYou came to me,â you reminded him. He hadnât lowered his hand yet. âIâd like to know what you have before I treat it. And also, so if you drop dead in the middle of the deck, I can explain myself before Killer takes my head off.â
Youâd meant it as a light-hearted tease. Kid was healthy enough that most illnesses he might contract didnât bother you much. But the second he lowered his hand, the humour disappeared from your heart.
Lying amongst the specks of blood were two petals. One had folded against the wet centre of his palm, its edges trembling faintly with every rough breath.
Your heart and your stomach twisted at the same time. The medical knowledge blended together with a truly disgusting disappointment. One you had no right to feel.
And yet it almost broke your professionalism.
Almost.
âAh,â you said.
âDonât fucking âahâ me!â he snapped.
You reached out slowly and picked up one of the petals. Its damp, bloodied state wrinkled your nose, but the petal itself was strangely delicate. Youâd never thought the rumours of this disease were even true. And yetâŠ
âDo you know anything about this ailment?â you asked.
âAilment?â he snorted. âI just thought one of these idiots has been feeding me flowers.â
He scoffed but he knew that wasnât the case. You could see it in the defensive set to his shoulders and the grimace of his lips.
âTheyâre growing in your lungs,â you said. âFrom what I know, the cause is fairly simple. Unreciprocated love.â
You hated saying it. Disliked it even more when Kidâs eyes narrowed at you in response and his expression told you that heâd already known that. You rolled the petal between your fingers and then put it on your desk carefully. Youâd need it to do some further research in the morning.
âThe good news is, youâre not going to die within the week,â you told him. âItâs in its early stages for now.â
âYeah, I got that,â he muttered. âStarted this morning.â
âSo, whatâs your plan to fix it?â
The syringes on your desk moved. Their needles turned toward Kid and you immediately reached for a box and placed it firmly over them before he could impale himself in irritation.
âYouâre the doctor!â he snapped. âWhy donât you tell me how to fix it? How do I make this shit stop?!â
âThe cause points fairly clearly toward the cure. If you fix the unreciprocated love, you fix the flowers. But I canât do that for you.â
The boxes on your shelving were beginning to rattle. The metal tools inside shivered against one another with an awful, screeching sound. You looked toward them with a small sigh.
âSeems like a pretty stupid time to tell somebody youâre interested in them,â he said through gritted teeth. âWhat if they donât care? Youâre not going to change that by coughing up fucking flowers into their laps!â
âI need you to repel instead of attract,â you said as the needles of the syringes hit the sides of the box with soft plinking sounds.
âDonât tell me what to do!â
âWatch me,â you responded. âRepel. Or youâre going to end up buried under a pile of my supplies and Iâm going to have to dig you out.â
âAre you saying I canât control my fruit?â
âProve to me you can.â
He scoffed and the tools stopped moving. You eased some of the pressure on the box but kept your hand firmly over it. Kid had very good control over his magnetism but it never hurt to ensure he didnât impale himself.
He coughed again, much softer as though he kept it locked in his chest through irritation alone.
âThank you,â you said. âNow, my first actual question is do you know if itâs actually unreciprocated or are you assuming? Like have you said something, not yelled it, before?â
âNone of your fucking business.â
âIâm trying to keep you alive,â you reminded him, even as it stung at the edges of your heart.
âYeah, well donât bother. I donât need to sit here and worry myself over some stupid flower petals when we have actual problems.â
He turned on his heel and marched from the room. You watched the door slam shut and looked down at the petal on your desk. The bright red turned your stomach even as it began to dry. Kid wasnât going to share the source of the disease. It was time to look for a cure.
But you had no idea where to start.
You told the rest of the crew he was ill and took to collecting the petals â despite his very, very loud complaints about both. Most of the petals were red and though a few varied in colour, the majority shared the same shade. You werenât sure if it meant anything. But you were skipping over no details in your research.
Most of what you found was useless. There were artistically rendered plants curling through painted lungs, long passages about the purity and suffering of love, and far too many accounts that ended with a name and a date of death. Those were the only records that offered anything practical.
You bought every book that mentioned the disease. At each port, you cornered doctors in cramped offices and overcrowded clinics, asking for notes, case histories, anything they had kept. More than once, Kidâs coughing carried through an open window or down the street behind you, wet and unmistakable, and you kept talking as though you couldnât hear it.
It wasnât great. Desperation grew in you much like the flowers in his lungs. There had to be a solution but what it wasâŠ
When you worked out a progression chart, you cornered him in his workshop.
The room smelled of iron when you stepped in. There were too many petals here for your comfort, gathering on the desk and in the corners. They looked wrong among the wrought metal and iron dust, too soft and bright for anything in Kidâs workshop. He immediately gave you a look, mouth opening as though to tell you to get out. You beat him to speaking.
âThe moment it progresses from petals to flowers, you need to tell me.â
âIâm not giving you a fucking inventory!â
You crossed your arms over your chest. âYou came to me first. That means that Iâm now responsible for monitoring how bad this gets. So, if it gets worse, you tell me.â
âI didnât go there to get myself a fucking nanny,â he retorted. âWhy donât you go back and wait for an actual injury to arrive? Wireâll probably slice his stomach open again.â
You put your hands firmly on the table in front of his metal arm. A thin layer of dust and iron shavings pressed into your palms. âAnd if he did, I think Iâd have a better chance of keeping him alive than you right now.â
âIâm fine.â
âI firmly disagree.â
The door opened before he could retort. Both your heads snapped toward Killer, who paused on the threshold without looking particularly interested in whatever he had interrupted. Fine. If Kid wasnât going to be forthcoming, you knew who actually respected your knowledge.
âKiller, if you see him cough up even one flower, tell me immediately.â
âOkay.â
âHey!â Kid snapped. âDonât set spies on me on my ship! If thereâs a problem, I can tell you myself!â
âWill you?â
Whatever answer he wanted to give you was lost in a sudden flurry of coughs. You watched another red petal drift to the ground. It was a raw and uncomfortable sound; like air pushing through leaves. You winced in sympathy.
âIs it contagious?â Killer asked.
âNot from what I know,â you said. âItâs rare. Very much so but thereâs always a chance of it developing if somebody chooses not to share. But it is fatal. If it gets worse, I think Iâll have to contact Trafalgar.â
Kidâs glare pierced through you. âWhat the fuck does he have to do with this shit?â
âI think he might be able to remove the infection,â you said. âHe could take your lungs out with minimum damage and find out if thereâs a physical source. Itâs only speculation on my side but seeing as youâre insisting on the hard cure instead of the easy oneâŠâ
âThereâs an easy cure?â Killer asked.
âYes. Easier for most people at least. If he would just open his mouth and talk for a second, heâd be fine.â
âWould it still count if it was yelling? Because thatâs more likely.â
âDonât you start now!â Kid barked.
You gave him a look and made your way out the workshop, mind running far too fast. The Victoria felt colder than ever, even when you stood on the deck in the sun. Trafalgar wasnât a bad option. If there was a physical plant, he would be the best choice to remove it.
If you could convince him to help.
It took less than two days for Killer to rap his knuckles against the metal door of your office. âHeâs struggling to breathe.â
Kid had been very good at avoiding you. Youâd hoped to observe him going about his usual day but that felt impossible anymore. Even finding him when you were looking turned out to be difficult until you cornered him near the helm.
You snuck up on him, feeling rather like a cat approaching a particularly skittish bird, and caught his arm, hands firm against his bicep.
âHey!â
âNo,â you said. âIâm examining you.â
He tugged on his arm. He could have taken it back. You knew he was strong enough to, even while he coughed up petals, but he followed you to the infirmary with little more than a barked complaint.
âStay here,â you said after he was sitting on one of your beds.
He rolled his eyes. âYouâre overreacting.â
âThatâs what Iâm hoping for. Howâs your breathing been?â
âStill breathing.â
âTake a deep breath.â
âYouâve heard me breathe.â
You gave him a look and he dragged in an exaggerated breath, only for it to break apart into a violent cough. Petals splattered over his hand and the metal floor. At least six or seven, flecked with blood. You leaned down to pick them up, purposefully not looking at him until they were on your desk. You reached for your stethoscope.
âHas it been interrupting your sleep?â
âListen to my damn lungs and leave the rest alone.â His voice rasped painfully before he cleared his throat.
He said it far too quickly for that to not have been an answer in its own right.
You stepped closer and put a hand on his right shoulder. He stiffened before he allowed you to push him straight, nudging his arm down so you could examine his chest easier.
âDo you know what I donât understand?â you asked as you held the stethoscope to his side. âYouâve never had any problems telling people what you think of them before. Whatâs so different about this?â
That had long been the reason you never acted on your own feelings. You couldnât imagine a world where Kid, of all people, didnât immediately follow what he wanted. If he shared your interest, you felt confident that you would have known by now.
He didnât answer you.
One lung was definitely stronger than the other. His right one made a terrible crackling sound every time he inhaled though the left wasnât without flaw either.
You pressed your lips together. âShirt off.â
For a second, he didnât move. He was staring at you with an unreadable, almost accusatory expression. As though a forced medical exam for the disease was the same as making him jump into the ocean.
You tapped your foot impatiently. âWhat?â
âNothing.â
Kid pulled the shirt off and dropped it to his side. You stepped around him and listened again, hoping to any god that would listen that you had just heard the fabric moving. His breaths rasped and the fear youâd been keeping at bay moved forward.
This wasnât a mysterious disease that existed only as a name on a page. You could hear the obstruction in his lungs clearly.
You hung the stethoscope around your neck and stepped away. âIf you die because of this, Iâm going to be so fucking pissed. Have you coughed up any blood without the petals?â
âNo,â he muttered. âJust these stupid things. Why are they red anyway? In all those books of yours, theyâre pink or white.â
âNo idea,â you admitted, not missing the confession that heâd been looking through your books when you werenât around. âMaybe theyâre taking the colour from your hair. Theyâll turn you grey within the next month.â
âFunny.â
You hummed and picked up a tongue depressor. âOpen.â
He clicked his tongue but followed your instructions. His throat was red and inflamed. You could see a petal stuck at the back and you gently pulled it out with a pair of tweezers. Kidâs nose wrinkled at the sensation.
You examined it under the light and sighed. âI wish you would help me here. I do like you alive and breathing.â
He immediately leaned away from you, arm crossing over his chest. âReally no other way to make this shit stop?â
âNot from what Iâve learned,â you said. âMaybe you can buy yourself some more time if you avoid the source but thatâs mostly a rumour. No evidence to prove it helps. And I imagine it isnât anybody on board the Victoria anyway soâŠâ
âThe hellâs that supposed to mean?â
The words hurt to admit but you said them anyway. âI just canât imagine you not telling somebody when you see them every day. Thatâs all.â
âCanât say anything at all when thereâs flowers everywhere.â
âThatâs actually a pretty good reason to do it,â you pointed out.
âWhy? To blackmail the ârightâ response?â
Another coughing fit began and you quickly pulled the stethoscope free to listen at his side. His right lung was really struggling to draw breath. The laboured pulls made your heart twist horrifically.
The disease was progressing quicker than it should have. If there was another way to get this removed, it would have to be your solution.
âYouâre being stubborn,â you muttered as he finished. âYou know that right?â
âShut up.â
âAt best, you have a few weeks before youâre bringing up full flowers. And at that point, weâre almost out of options.â You stepped away to get a glass of water from the sink. âI think itâs time to decide what youâre going to do.â
Kid rubbed his chest and roughly thumped against it with a fist. A couple more petals escaped as he did so.
âIâll figure something out.â
âDo I need to schedule a reroute?â
âNo. Something else. Stop worrying about this, would you? I donât want you fussing over flowers if somebodyâs actually dying.â
âI hate to tell you this but youâre the one thatâs actually dying.â
âWhatever. You done?â
You held out the glass of water to him. âWith the examination, yes but ââ
âGood.â
Kid stood, grabbed his shirt from the table and marched out the medical bay. You watched him go, water still held out in front of you until you stopped hearing his boots down the hall.
The petals worsened while you waited for him to âfigure it outâ and you stopped gathering them, unable to store nearly enough. They werenât helping your research anyway. You dumped most over the side of the ship and let them float away, swallowed by the surf.
Eventually, waiting was going to take too long. Â
Kid could hate you when he could breathe again. For now, you spoke to the others about possible rerouting to search for the Heart Pirates. It would be far from easy to track them down and your time was already short. If they even help⊠well, youâd have to figure that part out first then.
You were busy making notes of the progression of his symptoms, scratching down proof of his deterioration with a steady hand, when the door flew open once more.
The ink skipped over the page, bleeding through it steadily. You looked up.
Kid closed the door behind him this time before he approached, each breath lifting his chest in a shallow pull beneath his coat. His face was pale beneath his usual anger and fresh blood lingered at the corner of his mouth.
He crossed the room and threw something onto your desk. It landed across your notes with a wet, heavy sound. A complete flower lay across the paper, its crimson petals spread wide and slick with blood almost the same shade.
Kid didnât meet your eyes. He glared firmly at the air beside you as you nudged the flower with the back of your pen.
âAlight,â you said. âWe canât mess around with this anymore. Either we speak to Trafalgar to see if he can remove it or you need to talk to whoever this is for.â
Kidâs jaw tightened. His arm twitched over his chest. You waited, unwilling to yield even as panic curled through your own heart like a traitorous poison. Part of you dreaded learning who the flower was for, but that selfishness had no place here. Not when the answer might be the only thing capable of stopping it.
âThis is fucking stupid,â he muttered.
âUnfortunately, sickness is rarely fair,â you said. âI would be grateful that itâs something with a solution rather than something incurable. It could always be worse.â
He finally met your eyes. âAnd if I say it and they still donât want me? Then what?â
âI donât know,â you said. âI donât know whatâll happen because this is a very rare disease to begin with. Any details I can find are anecdotal at best. But isnât it at least worth a try if it can fix all this?â
He shrugged.
âYouâre going to die choking on flowers if you donât. Do you really want me to have to put âdied from being stubbornâ on your grave?â
âFuck off. If you put that shit on my grave, Iâm coming back to toss you in the ocean.â
âHonestly, Iâd rather not have to think about what I want to write on a headstone at all,â you said. âSo, can I contact Trafalgar? Iâll talk to him and see if heâs going to be able to remove at least some of the blockage. It might not be a full cure but it can fix some of it until you grow a pair.â
Kidâs eye twitched faintly and his lip curled up. âAre you calling me a coward?â
Good. He was getting annoyed. Maybe if you pressed on his pride enough, heâd just snap and do it so you could eliminate it as an option. Either it worked or⊠or you had to keep searching but at least it was a chance.
Youâd take any chance at this point.
âYes,â you said simply.
Red was creeping up his neck as he turned to you fully. âYou donât know anything about this shit.â
âNo,â you said. âI donât and as much as I could guess, that wonât get me any further. I know you probably havenât found some random woman on the coast and decided sheâs worth dying for so at least it narrows it down to people I know. I suppose I should just ask Killer, right? You two have always had the same taste.â
âDonât get him involved in this crap.â
âWhat other option do I have?â you asked. âI have no solution. You certainly havenât brought me some miracle cure over the past few days and you canât punch it out of your own lungs. I know of exactly one magical surgeon who has the potential to help and thatâs it.â
Kid scoffed. âYeah, Iâve noticed. You havenât shut up about him for days.â
âWhat?â
âConstantly fucking yapping about Trafalgar,â he said. âKeep saying his name like that and Iâll dump you on his deck myself.â
You picked up the flower from your desk and created a small circle with your thumb and index finger. âDo you see this?â you asked. âThis is the size of your trachea, okay?â You placed the flower against it and tried to tug it through. It barely fit. âDo you see why Iâm so worried about the next one?â
âObviously I know what the problem is!â he snapped. âIâm the one who brought the thing up!â
âThen why are you so annoyed that Iâm asking somebody else to help keep you alive?â you asked.
âNever said I cared about it. Just mentioned that itâs all youâve been going on about.â
âBecause I donât have anything else! Every book I read and every person I speak to says that this is fatal! And I think I have a better chance of nagging you into a surgery than I do at forcing you to speak about your feelings!â
He glowered but there was something closer to uncertainty behind his expression. âThere has to be another cure.â
You tossed the flower down and stood finally, bracing your hands against the desk. âThatâs why Iâm thinking about the one fruit that I know might be able to help.â
âIt doesnât make sense anyway,â he said. âIâm not the only person on this ship whoâs kept his mouth shut about something this stupid. How come nobody else has had to deal with a fucking plant in their chest?â
âI donât know,â you admitted. âHonestly, I donât know why it chose you when it could have just as easily taken to my lungs. But what I do know is that if it had, I would be damned before I sat around here making the rest of you watch me slowly suffocate!â
âGuess it would have been easier if that happened, right? Weâd just change directions and fix it within the week.â
âWhat are you on about?â
Kid gestured and your desk lamp began to topple. You caught it and shoved it under your table before it spilled paraffin over everything.
âIf you caught this fucking disease,â he said. âAnd you were covering my ship in rose petals or whatever the hell they are ââ
âThis is a tulip,â you told him.
âI donât care! Iâm just saying it would be simpler because then we could load you up and send you to profess your love at the bottom of the sea without having to worry about fucking up anything here!â
Heâd confused you enough that you had to take a second to respond. A small cough took over him while you processed the implications. Two petals dropped to the floor.
âAre you implying that Iâm in love with some random surgeon Iâve met a grand total of once?â you asked. âIs that what youâre saying?â
âOnly met him once but you never stop talking about him.â
âBecause heâs the only doctor I know who could open your lungs without killing you! If that little rat thing on Straw Hatâs crew could do it, Iâd have sailed us there instead!â
Kid blinked at you, the glare remaining as though he had forgotten to let it drop. The desk gave a low scrape beneath your palms. You glanced down as its metal feet dragged a fraction across the floor. Unusual. Even when annoyed, Kid rarely disturbed the furniture.
âThen who?â he asked.
âWhat?â
âYou said you could have caught this,â he said. âImagine you did. Where the hell would we be sailing to?â
You stepped around the desk and walked closer so you stood in front of him, head tilted up. âWhat? Do you want some kind of exchange? Where I give you my secret and you tell me yours? If that was all you wanted, you should have asked me days ago. Iâll tell you anything if you give me a solution.â
He breathed out through his nose slowly. You waited. His gaze flicked to the flower where it lay on the table and then back to you.
âFine,â he said. âWhere would we go?â
The confession lodged briefly in your throat. Then Kid dragged in another shallow breath, and embarrassment stopped mattering.
âWe wouldnât need to change course at all,â you said. âI wouldnât even step out of this room.â
Recognition flickered over Kidâs face too quickly. It was replaced by an irritation that didnât fit well enough; a default expression he couldnât hide behind right now.
âSay it clearer.â
You gave him a look. âYouâre not stupid, captain. And thereâs no invisible man standing in the corner.â
âDoesnât matter. Say it better than that.â
âItâs you,â you said. âIf I got sick, I would have come to tell you.â
He grabbed your arm without warning and pulled you into him, lips against yours before you had a second to realise what was happening. He tasted like blood. Awful and sharp against your palate and yet you kissed him back without hesitation.
There was no thought behind it. No sensible pause to question why. Your arms were caught against his chest as he dragged you closer until there was no space between you. He kissed with the same aggression he brought to everything else; his teeth caught your lip, and his grip tightened when you tried to pull back for air.
Metal shifted throughout the room.
Something struck the floor behind you. Your chair scraped against the ground as the instruments in your drawers rattled against one another.
Years of wanting him rose through you all at once. Every feeling you had forced quieter broke loose beneath the pressure of his mouth. You could feel his heart hammering against your arms, could taste the blood on his mouth and your thoughts stumbled back into place.
You pulled back sharply.
Your breathing came unevenly and his was even worse, each inhale rough and rasping.
âYour turn,â you said.
Kid had frozen, his shoulders tense and his jaw tight. âYou need more of an answer?â
You snatched the flower from your desk and threw it against his chest. âYou nearly died for me! You absolute bastard, yes! I need more than a fucking kiss! Do you have any idea how much Iâve been worried! Any idea of how⊠I want to hear your fucking reason for why you didnât just tell me at the beginning!â
The metal in the room quietened. Something clattered loudly to the ground nearby but neither of you looked to it.
Then he shrugged. âDidnât want some pity lie just because I was choking.â
âFine,â you said. âBut why not before you brought up triple your lung capacity in flower petals?!â
âJust didnât think you were interested.â
âIn what?â you said. âIn you? How would you ever think that?! Iâve been in love with you for so long that itâs a running joke amongst all the other women!â
He flinched at that. Good. He deserved to.
âI was going to tell you,â he said. âWhen I saw the fucking petals, I figured Iâd just come here and say something to get it to stop. But then you saw the damned things and I couldnât just say it anymore.â
âYes, you could have.â
âYou would have pretended even if you didnât care.â
âWhy would you think that?â
âYouâd say whatever kept me breathing. Donât act like you wouldnât.â
âYes,â you agreed. âBecause Iâm in love with you. And, by the way, you still havenât told me.â
âFine!â he snapped. âYou need me to tell you it directly? You. Itâs been you since that first time you came at me with a needle and told me my arm would rot off.â
You stilled, momentarily paused because that⊠that was ages ago. That was long before youâd even agreed to follow him around the world. That was back when you still found him intimidating and youâd yet to learn that for all the bluff, staring him down was the best way to quieten his moods.
âWhat?â he barked when you were quiet for too long. âDonât stare at me like that.â
You shook your head. âKid⊠You know⊠I just⊠fuck you.â
You gave up looking for words and just reached for him instead. He met you halfway, mouth harsh against yours as you dragged him to you. Relief pushed through the last of your anger as you focused on just him.
Then he coughed.
You tore yourself away immediately.
He bent forward, bracing himself against the edge of your desk as the coughs dragged through him. They sounded just as vicious as before, deep enough to turn your stomach and for a horrible moment, you feared the cure was as much a myth as youâd thought the disease had been.
You caught his shoulder just as something fell from his mouth and splattered over the floor.
Not another full flower. Nothing fresh or bright.
The petals were wilted, curling in on themselves. You knelt down to consider them and Kid wiped his mouth with the back of his hand as he coughed once more and inhaled.
You looked up at him. âGo sit on one of the beds.â
âIâm fine.â
âYou said that when you sounded like you had gravel in your lungs. Go.â
He glared but sat on one of the beds anyway, grumbling beneath his breath while you grabbed a stethoscope. You tugged up his shirt before he could protest and pressed it against his ribs.
The crackling hadnât disappeared completely. His lungs still sounded irritated and you suspected they would be for some time after everything heâd put them through but the obstruction was easing. Air moved where it hadnât before.
The relief almost hurt as you breathed out.
âFeels better,â he muttered.
âGood. Then itâll feel even better tomorrow. Youâre staying here to rest until I can be certain itâs continuing to improve.â
Kidâs eyes narrowed. âWhat? No.â
âYou have potentially damaged lungs, and blood loss so I need to watch you. And itâs also punishment,â you said. âFor making me stress so much.â
He gave you a flat look but didnât try to stand again.
You kissed him once more, to be certain he was still there. His lips still carried a trace of iron but his breathing had steadied. Each inhale came deeper than the last, no longer catching whatever had been growing inside him.
Could you please write a CorazĂłn x reader story where the reader was in love with him and watches him die? But before he died she promised to watch Law, so she moniters Law from a distance to ensure he is safe. Then when Law has grown up, the reader tells him how proud CorazĂłn is of him.
Thank you đ«¶

The snow falls without making a sound, covering the ruined town like nothing terrible has ever happened, like blood never touched the ground, like children never cried⊠and like promises were never broken.
⊠That day begins strangely. Rosinante barely speaks and keeps looking over his shoulder.
His hands shake when he lights another cigarette, it takes him three tries.
You watch him in silence and then finally, you grab the lighter from him âGive it here.â
He smiles sheepishly âThanks.â
You hand it back âYouâre acting strange.â
âAm I?â
âVery.â
He doesnât answer, instead, he looks toward Law. The little boy is sitting not far away, pretending not to listen.
Rosinante watches him for a long moment and then he quietly says, âCan you come with me for a minute?â
You frown âNow?â
âPlease.â
Something in his voice makes your stomach tighten, so you just nod.
He leads you away from there, far enough that even the sound of the fire disappears.
Snow crunches beneath your boots while neither of you speaks.
Finally you stop walking âRosinante.â
He turns and you think youâve never seen him look so tired and so... sad.
âTell me whatâs happening.â
Silence.
Then he reaches into his coat and your heart skips. He simply takes off one black glove and he gently takes yours as he says âI need you to promise me something.â
Your eyes narrow âNo.â
He blinks â...No?â
âNot until you tell me whatâs going on.â
A weak laugh escapes him âYouâre always so stubborn.â
âI learned from you.â
He smiles for a second but then it disappears again âIf... something happens...â
You immediately shake your head âNo.â
âListen.â
âNo!â your voice echoes through the snow âNothing is going to happen.â
He gently squeezes your hand âPlease.â
You stare at him and he almost looks frightened, not for himself but for you and for Law.
Your chest begins to hurt âRosinante...â
His voice is barely above a whisper âPromise me youâll watch over Law.â
Your heart stops, the world suddenly feels very quiet â...Why?â
He doesnât answer, instead he smiles. That soft smile you love so much.
Tears begin to burn your eyes âTell me why.â
Nothing.
âTell me!â
He looks away âI canât.â
You grab the front of his shirt âThen I wonât promise you anything.â
For a second you think heâll give in but instead he leans forward until hs forehead rests against yours âPlease...â
The word sounds broken, like it hurts to say.
You close your eyes while every instinct tells you something terrible is coming⊠but very slowly, you nod and say â...I promise.â
He lets out a quiet breath, almost relieved âThank you.â
Before you can ask another question he suddenly grabs your wrist.
âRosinante?â
He starts running âWait!â
He pulls you toward an old wooden storage house standing alone near the fireplace.
You stumble after him âWhat are you doing?â
No answer, he opens the old door and pushes you inside.
You almost lose your balance âRosinante!â
The door slams shut, a heavy wooden beam drops into place outside.
Your eyes widen and so you throw yourself against the door but, of course, it doesn't move.
âRosinante!â you scream and hit the door with both fists âOpen the door!â
Nothing.
Only his voice through the old wood, so quiet that it's almost impossible to hear â...Iâm sorry.â
Your heart pounds âDonât you dare!â
You shove your shoulder against the door. Pain shoots through your arm but the wood doesnât move.
âRosinante!â
You hear his footsteps, walking away.
You scream his name until your throat burns.
You throw yourself against the door again and again, until the old wood barely shakes.
âRosinante!â
You hit it until your palms sting and your breathing becomes uneven.
You look around desperately. The little wooden house is almost empty, with only broken shelves, dust and old ropes.
Then you see the window. It faces the snowy field outside, exactly where Rosinante and Law are.
You rush toward it âThank God...â
You grab the handles and pull but⊠nothing. You pull harder but the window doesnât move.
âNo... no, no...â
You look around but thereâs nothing useful, so you just raise your fist, ready to hit the window, no matter how it would hurt.
But before you can even hit the glass⊠Rosinante looks at you making your body freeze.
Heâs watching you⊠his eyes meet yours through the glass and slowly he shakes his head, then his lips move âPlease.â
Your fist relaxes and you drop your hand, while the tears blur your vision.
You shake your head violently âNo...â
Outside, Rosinante kneels beside Law.
You press both hands against the cold glass as your tears leave small marks across your face.
You watch him smile at the boy, like nothing terrible is about to happen.
Law is in a treasure chest.
Even through the glass you can see him refusing, crying and begging.
Rosinante says something and then⊠he gently places Law inside the treasure chest. The lid slowly closes.
Your chest tightens so much it hurts.
Rosinante rests one hand on the chest. He smiles, the kindest smile youâve ever seen.
A goodbye.
Then he looks at you and time stops. Snow falls between you.
He smiles again, but smaller this time. Then his lips move slowly so that you wonât miss a single word âI love you.â
Your breath catches but he gives you another smile, even softer âThank you.â
Your entire body shakes as fresh tears spill down your face.
You slam your hands against the glass âI love you too!â
Rosinanteâs smile falters a little⊠he knows you answered.
Very gently⊠he nods.
Then⊠he turns around and your eyes finally go toward Doflamingo.
Your heart drops âNo!â
You scream, or at least you think you do.
But you saw what Rosinante did to Law, you saw him using his powers and it doesnât need much to understand he did the same to you.
Thereâs no sound, only silence.
He did it so that neither of you would be heard. So neither of you could give away your hiding place.
Then you hear a gunshot and see Rosinanteâs body fall.
You want to slam both fists against the glass, break it and run to him.
But⊠you canât.
You have to stay, for Law and even for⊠him, because you promised him.
Even while dying⊠heâs still protecting you and Law.
Rosinante falls into the snow, and he doesnât get back up.
Your legs give out beneath you, and for one endless second⊠the whole world stops.
Movements from the treasure chest make your head snap toward it.
The lid opens and you see Law climbing out.
His face is soaked with tears, his mouth is open in a scream you cannot hear. He stumbles away from where Rosinanteâs body is.
Exactly like Rosinante wanted⊠and your promise starts now.
Your eyes dart to the other side of the house, where itâs more hidden⊠another window.
You donât hesitate this time⊠you give it a few punches and it breaks, even if your hands are bleeding, you donât care.
When the old glass explodes outward, you feel the cold air rushing inside.
You climb through without caring as sharp pieces cut your hands even more.
You donât even look at Rosinante⊠because if you do youâll never be able to move again.
You run after the crying boy disappearing into the white snow, keeping the promise the man you loved died to entrust to you.
Your hands wonât stop shaking and your chest hurts.
Your mind reminds of his last smile, his last words⊠and his eyes. The thought wonât leave you alone.
You run until your legs begin to ache, until you see a small figure kneeling in the snow.
His shoulders shake violently. A little boy, broken and alone.
You slow down â...Law.â
The boy freezes for a second, he doesnât turn around right away, but then he spins toward you.
Now you can see his face, red from crying, cheeks wet and his eyes⊠are full of something youâve never seen before. Something more like hatred.
He rushes toward you and before you can even react his little fists slam against you âWhy?!â
Another hit.
âWhy didnât you save him?!â
You stumble backward but you donât even try to stop him.
Another punch and then another.
They donât hurt⊠not compared to the ache inside your chest.
âYou were there!â his voice cracks âYou were there!â
He keeps hitting you, each blow weaker than the last. But you accept every single one, because⊠heâs right.
You were there, you watched everything and you didnât save him.
Law grabs the front of your coat.
His tiny fingers shake so much he can barely hold on âYou loved him too!â
Your breath catches and the tears you thought had stopped begin falling again.
Law buries his face against your body, still punching but weaker and still crying âYou didnât help...â
Your knees finally give out and so you both fall into the snow.
Law doesnât have any strength left to keep hitting you, so he simply clutches your coat.
His whole body trembling âWhy did he leave me...?â
Your lips part, but no answer comes.
Then, after some silence, your voice finally comes out, but itâs barely a whisper âIâm sorry...â
Law jerks away from you, his eyes still filled with tears âDonât say sorry!â
He wipes his face angrily âBring him back!â
Silence, followed by a small âPlease...â
That word breaks you.
âPlease tell me how to use this power⊠I can save himâŠâ
Your shoulders begin to shake, so you lower your head âI canât⊠I donât know anythingâŠâ
Law stares at you, as if heâs waiting for you to say youâre joking. Waiting for Corazon to appear behind you like this is all some terrible prank.
Instead⊠you cry.
You cry harder than you ever have before.
Your forehead touches the snow making your tears disappear into the white ground âI couldnât save him...â
Your voice breaks âI couldnât...â
You feel so weak and useless.
Rosinante believed in you, trusted you and loved you⊠and you failed.
You failed him, you failed Law and you failed yourself.
Law slowly stands and looks down at you. His little fists tighten â...I hate you.â
The words are quiet, but they cut deeper than any knife.
You nod, still staring at the snow âI know.â
Law waits, maybe hoping youâll argue, maybe hoping youâll tell him youâre lying and that everything will somehow be okay.
You donât⊠because you canât.
Finally you force yourself to stand even if your legs feel heavy.
You don't look at him and just say âGo.â
Law blinks â...What?â
âGo.â your voice is flat and cold, nothing like how you really feel âYouâll be safer without me.â
Law stares, confused, hurt and rightfully angry âYouâre... leaving?â
You nod once, very slowly âYes.â
His lips tremble, but then he clenches his fists âFine!â
He turns around so fast he almost slips in the snow âI donât need you!â
You close your eyes â...I know.â
Without another word Law starts walking and doesn't look back.
You watch his small figure disappear between the snow-covered trees, and only when you canât see him anymore⊠you finally let yourself fall.
You donât know where your feet carry you⊠everything around you is gray, as if the world lost every color the moment Rosinante smiled at you one last time.
You remember every detail as if it's still happening in front of you.
His lips and his smile.
His âI love youâ and his âThank you.â
Then⊠the gunshots.
You cover your ears but it doesn't help, because they're just inside your head now.
Your legs give out beneath you and you collapse.
For the first time since you met Rosinante⊠you feel completely alone.
Hours pass, or maybe only minutes⊠time has stopped making sense.
You whisper into the empty forest âYou believed in the wrong person...â
Fresh tears run down your cheeks âYou thought I was strong.â
A bitter laugh escapes you âIâm not.â
Your breathing becomes uneven again âI couldnât even save the person I loved the most.â
You bury your face against your arms âIâm sorry...â
Everything hurts⊠your chest, your eyes, and even breathing.
You wish you could sleep, just for a little, to forget everything, forget the snow, the blood⊠the promiseâŠ
Your eyes slowly open at that thought.
Promise me...
You stop breathing as Rosinanteâs face appears in your mind, this time not the one covered in blood or smiling his goodbye to you, but the one from earlier that day.
The tired and scared one, that was for trusting you.
Your fingers slowly tighten around your sleeves and then you stand up so suddenly that your knees almost give out again.
âLaw...â your voice is hoarse.
You left him, a little kid, alone.
Your heart pounds so hard it hurts âNo...â
You wipe your tears away with both hands, take one shaky breath and look forward, with a new mission in mind.
Your eyes are no longer empty, theyâre determined. Still broken and still grieving, but determined.
âI already failed you once...â your voice trembles âIâm not failing you again.â
You start running and start looking everywhere for Law⊠until you hear a little kid crying.
You look ahead, and far in the distance you spot a small figure who keeps walking alone.
You donât call his name and you donât run to him⊠you simply follow, far enough that he wonât see you, but close enough that if danger comes youâll reach him first.
Rosinante trusted you with the most precious thing he had and you almost forgot⊠but never again, even if Law hates you and even if heâll never forgive you.
Youâll keep your promise for the rest of your life.
You stay hidden behind the trees, but fortunately for you, Law never looks back, he just keeps walking as his shoulders tremble and his little hands are balled into fists.
You wipe your eyes and you follow.
That first night alone⊠Law sleeps inside an abandoned house.
You stay outside, curled beneath the broken roof of an old shed across from it.
The wind is freezing, so you donât sleep, even because every small noise makes your hand reach for the knife at your belt.
Morning comes and you see Law leaving before sunrise.
You follow him again, making sure heâs ok.
The second day⊠you see him stealing bread. The baker notices and Law runs, but the baker chases him.
You see Law hiding before the man can catch him. So you take that moment of confusion from the baker to quietly step into the alley behind him, and with a single kick, sending an empty barrel rolling across the street.
It crashes loudly and the baker jumps, turns and runs toward the noise instead, giving enough time to Law to escape.
The third day...
He develops a fever, you can see it in the way he walks slower and the way his breathing is heavier.
He hasnât eaten since yesterday, so you wait until he falls asleep beneath an old bridge to leave medicine next to him, with fresh water and bread.
When he wakes you watch him stare at the little bundle. His brows knit together as he looks around and sees there's no one.
After a long moment and thoughts, he quietly takes it.
Days become weeks and weeks become months.
Your routine never changes.
Law walks and you follow.
Law fights and you step in only if his life is truly in danger.
Law steals sometimes but at this point you just steal first to give it to him before he even does it.
He never sees you, or at least you think he doesnât.
Almost a year passes and Law grows taller, enough that his sleeves are beginning to look too short.
Heâs stronger too, he doesnât cry anymore, at least not where anyone can see.
One evening he suddenly stops walking and without even turning around he says âYouâre terrible at hiding.â
Your heart skips, but then you slowly step out from behind the tree.
Law doesnât even look surprised, he just sighs âI noticed months ago.â
You blink â...You did?â
He finally turns⊠heâs still just a child, but his eyes already become the eyes youâll one day recognize in a pirate captain.
Sharp, calm and always watching everything.
âThe medicine.â he points at you âThe food. The Marines that kept disappearing⊠That was you.â
You lower your head â...Yeah.â
You expect him to yell and to tell you to leave, but instead he turns around again âYouâre still annoying.â
You blink and then a tiny smile appears on your face âI know.â
He starts walking and you remain where you are, confused.
After several steps Law stops and, again, without looking back he says âWell?â
You tilt your head and he continues âAre you coming or not?â
Your eyes widen and a small laugh escapes you before you can stop it â...Yeah.â
From that day on you no longer have to hide.
Nothing changes, and yet⊠everything does.
You still donât walk beside him, you naturally stay a few steps behind and Law never comments on it, but sometimes without thinking, he slows down enough for you to catch up.
You two stop in abandoned towns, sleep in empty buildings and share fires during cold nights.
Grief still sits between you⊠some wounds need more than time.
Law keeps training everyday. He cuts rocks with a stolen sword. Runs until his legs give out. Practices with his powers until blood drips from his nose.
One afternoon he collapses face-first into the grass.
You kneel beside him âEnough.â
âNo.â
âYouâre exhausted.â
âAgain.â he tries to stand but falls immediately.
You cross your arms âYouâre proving my point.â
Law glares âCora-san wouldâve let me keep going.â
You raise one eyebrow âCora-san⊠wouldâve carried you somewhere to eat, then pretended he didnât.â
Law goes quiet and then a tiny snort escapes him â...Yeah.â
Years pass slowly and quietly.
The hatred disappears, but not because either of you talks about it, but because life keeps moving.
One day Law throws you a blanket âTake it.â
âYouâll freeze.â
âIâm warm enough.â
You know heâs lying, so you cut the blanket in half with an old knife.
He sighs âIdiot.â
âLearned from the best.â
For the first time Law laughs, small, but it sounds so much like Rosinanteâs that tears immediately sting your eyes.
When Law is thirteen a white polar bear crashes into your lives.
Law saves Bepo while heâs being bullied by two boys named Shachi and Penguin, knocking them out with his devil fruit powers.
Bepo follows him in your âhomeâ and slowly looks at you, who are watching at the two confused.
â...Hello.â
You burst into laughter and after that Bepo becomes family almost immediately, even if Law pretends otherwise.
âHeâs loud.â
You look at him and say âHeâs not, heâs cute and gentle⊠And actually? Youâre louder.â
âImpossible.â
âYou yelled at a fish yesterday.â
âIt deserved it.â
Bepo giggles and Law groans.
A month later, you see Bepo and Law coming back with two unconscious boys⊠Shachi and Penguin. They tell you they found them like that and you donât even have the time to say anything that Law starts giving orders on how to treat them.Â
You look at him surprised and proud but you say nothing and just help.
After Shachi and Penguin recover, they both bow and say together âThank you!â and then they look at Bepo and Law and say âSorry for last timeâŠâ
You donât even ask, you just let the kids be kids and, mostly, you let Law do his own things.
The four boys fill every quiet place with noise.
Sometimes you sit a little farther away, watching them laugh together and your chest warms.
Rosinante⊠heâs not alone anymore.
The years keep moving and the four boys grow.
Lawâs devil fruit powers become stronger and every evening you still train together.
âAgain.â
A blue sphere expands around you.
ROOM.
Your sword disappears and appears behind you.
You smile âMuch faster.â
Law wipes sweat from his forehead âNot fast enough.â
âCompared to yesterday?â
He hesitates â...Better.â
You grin âThen thatâs enough for today.â
âOne more.â
âLaw.â
âOne.â
You sigh dramatically âYouâre just as stubborn as he was.â
Law smirks âI know.â
Then one evening, when heâs already sixteen, Law finds you sitting alone outside, as you watch the sun disappear beyond the sea.
He quietly sits beside you âThe ship is almost finished.â
You nod⊠you already knew. Youâve watched him draw those plans for months.
âSo...â you smile âYouâre finally going.â
He nods once and silence follows.
Then you whisper âCan I tell you something?â
Law hums.
âI loved him.â
He doesnât look surprised, he simply nods and says âI know.â
You blink â...You knew?â
A small smile appears on his face âCora-san made it obvious for both of you.â
You let out a tiny laugh âHow?â
Law leans back on his hands, looking toward the sunset.
âAfter he saved me...â his voice softens âWhen he finally started talking to me⊠He couldnât shut up about you.â
You cover your mouth.
Law continues, a little embarrassed âEvery story of his somehow became about you.â
He begins counting on his fingers ââSheâll scold me if she sees this burnâ.â
Another finger: ââShe makes the best soupâ.â
Another: ââSheâs stronger than she thinks she isâ.â
Your vision blurs.
Law smiles âThen...â
His eyes lower and continues âOne night...he thought I was asleep.â
Your heart pounds.
âHe said...â Law closes his eyes, as if he can still hear Rosinanteâs gentle voice ââWhen all of this is overâ...â
Silence.
â...âIâm going to tell her I love her properlyâ.â
A sob escapes before you can stop it. Your shoulders shake but you smile through the tears.
All these years⊠wondering if those last words had only been spoken because he was dying. And now you know he truly meant them.
Law quietly hands you a handkerchief without looking at you.
You laugh at that through your tears âThank you.â
âDonât mention it.â
After a while your breathing steadies and you look at him.
A young man⊠surrounded by people who love him and strong enough to protect them.
You smile proudly âIâm proud of you, Law.â
He sighs âYou always say that.â
âBecause every year you give me another reason.â
You gently straighten the collar of his coat, just like you used to when he was little.
He doesnât stop you.
âYouâve become someone who protects others.â
âOnly my crew.â
âExactly.â you smile warmly âYouâve found your family.â
Law looks toward the sea, where his future waits.
Your voice becomes almost a whisper âRosinante would be so proud of you.â
He doesnât answer immediately, and when he finally does, his voice is quiet but certain â...I know.â
Then he looks at you âAnd...â he hesitates, as if the next words are too difficult â...heâd be proud of you too.â
You shake your head âNo.â
âYes.â his answer comes without hesitation âYou think you failed him, but you didnât.â
Your lips tremble.
Law gives you a small smile and continues âYou kept your promise to him.â
Your eyes fill once more.
He stands, adjusts his sword at his side, and then, before walking back toward Bepo, Penguin and Shachi, he pauses. Without turning around, he says quietly â...Thank you.â
Only two words, but from Trafalgar Law? Theyâre worth a lifetime.
You watch him walk toward his future, toward the sea, toward the dream Rosinante died to protect, and for the first time, the promise resting on your shoulders no longer feels heavy.
Youâve spent years in Dressrosa⊠always moving, always watching, gathering names, places and secrets.
Waiting for the day the Heavenly Demon falls.
You always imagined doing it alone, and you never imagined seeing another familiar face there.
You stop walking when across the square you spot a man wearing a spotted white hat⊠who freezes too, for one long second...
He's taller now. Dark circles beneath tired eyes. A long sword rests against his shoulder.
But⊠youâd recognize him anywhere.
â...Law?â
His lips part ever so slightly, almost like he forgot how to speak.
â...Itâs been a while.â
You donât even think, you close the distance and wrap your arms around him.
He stiffens, and behind him, several strangers blink in surprise. A long-nosed manâs jaw drops. A dark haired girl smiles.
Law sighs but he doesnât push you away.
You pull back just enough to cup his face âLook at you...â
Your eyes immediately become wet âYouâre so skinny.â
Law deadpans âThatâs your first comment?â
âHave you been eating good?â
âYes.â
You narrow your eyes âYouâre lying.â
âIâm not.â
âYou always wrinkle your nose when you lie.â
He immediately stops moving his face.
You smile triumphantly âSee?â
The boy with the long nose tilts his head âHe has people who scold him?â
Law pinches the bridge of his nose âCan we move on?â
Only then you notice where he is⊠Dressrosa.
Your smile fades and your stomach twists.
You look around at the city and then back at Law and your expression hardens as you say â...No.â
Law says nothing.
You take one step closer âAbsolutely not.â
He sighs âI figured youâd react like this.â
âYouâre here because of him.â
Law doesnât deny it, instead he calmly asks you âArenât you here for the same reason?â
You hate that he's right.
You cross your arms âYeah. But youâre too young for this.â
Law looks at you, then without missing a beat âAnd youâre too old.â
Silence.
The two Strawhats stare.
Your eye twitches âOi.â you point a finger at him âIâm not that old!â
A tiny smirk appears on Lawâs face.
Usopp practically shouts âHe can smile?!â
Law ignores him.
You poke his chest âListen here, brat.â
Another poke âIâm a pirate too.â
Another poke âIâm the one who trained you in the first place.â
Another poke âYouâre still just a kid.â
You grin âLeave Doflamingo to me.â
The smile disappears from Law's face and his expression becomes unreadable.
Quietly he says âIâm twenty-six.â
You freeze as the words echo inside your head.
Law isnât just telling you his age, heâs telling you that heâs ready to die, just like the man who saved him.
Your hands slowly fall to your sides â...I get it.â
Law says nothing.
You meet his eyes and shake your head as a sad smile appears âBut this time...â
Your voice is steady â...I wonât stand still.â
Law opens his mouth, probably to argue, but you donât let him.
You look around frowning âWhereâs your crew?â
Your smile returns âI miss Bepo.â
Law doesnât answer, he simply looks away.
Your smile slowly fades and your voice drops to a whisper â...Law. You left them.â
Now you understand⊠of course he did⊠he came here expecting not to return. He didnât bring them because he refused to make them watch him die.
Like Rosinante⊠who locked you inside that wooden house.
You step closer, so that only he can hear you âYouâre an idiot.â
Law lets out a quiet breath âI know.â
You smile sadly âNo.â
You gently flick his forehead, just like you used to.
He blinks in surprise.
Then you say softly âYouâre exactly like him.â
Law closes his eyes.
You take a deep breath and then turn toward the palace looming over Dressrosa.
Your hand settles on the hilt of your sword to give you courage.
The royal plateau trembles beneath every blow.
From below people scream, pirates run and fight.
Up here there are two men, one fighting for revenge and the other playing with him.
Law falls to one knee, his breathing is ragged.
Blood drips from his fingertips, from his chest, from wounds that refuse to close, as he struggles to stay standing.
Across from him Doflamingo smiles, relaxed and almost bored âIs that all?â
Law doesnât answer but he forces himself upright again.
ROOM.
The blue sphere expands, he disappears and reappears behind Doflamingo.
Kikoku swings but Doflamingo blocks without even looking, strings wrap around the blade.
Another kick and Law is thrown across the rooftop, crashing through a broken stone. The impact steals the air from his lungs.
Luffy is still trapped fighting Bellamy.
Doflamingo slowly walks toward Law, hands in his pockets and smiling âYou know⊠he looked just like you at the end. Broken.â
He takes another step âBleeding.â
Another step âStill pretending he could protect someone.â
Law grips Kikoku tighter, so much that his knuckles turn white âDonât...â
Doflamingo laughs âHe died like a fool.â
Law suddenly lunges in a desperate slash, but it's too slow.
Strings catch the blade and then another kick.
This time Law doesn't get back up immediately.
A shadow lands between them.
Your sword catches the strings inches before they reach Lawâs neck.
Sparks scatter across the rooftop.
Doflamingoâs grin widens in genuine amusement âWell...â
He slowly adjusts his sunglasses âLook whoâs finally here.â
You donât lower your sword.
Your eyes never leave his.
Years waiting for this moment.
Your voice is cold âGet away from him.â
Behind you Law exhales, almost in disbelief â...You finally came.â
You donât look back âOf course I did. You really thought Iâd let you do something this stupid alone?â
Law sighs â...Yeah.â
Doflamingo chuckles low and cruelly, âHow nostalgic.â
He spreads his arms dramatically âRosinanteâs little wife!â
For years people assumed you and Rosinante were together but neither of you ever bothered correcting them. Sometimes you even played along to get free food or just for fun.
So instead, now you smile, but a sad one âYeah.â
Law glances at you surprised.
Your eyes remain fixed on Doflamingo âAnd Iâm here to finish what my husband couldnât.â
For the first time Doflamingoâs smile slightly falters. Then he laughs louder than ever âFuffuffuffu! Sure!â
The fight begins again, this time together, you and Law move without speaking.
Years of training, years of surviving, years of protecting each other.
Law uses his powers to make you disappear and reappear above Doflamingo. Your blade comes down but strings block it.
Law attacks from below while you force Doflamingo to dodge left, exactly where Law expected.
A shockwave tears through the rooftop, stone explodes beneath your feet.
âStill protecting him?â Doflamingo laughs while blocking another strike âmy stupid brother really infected you.â
You answer with another slash.
The battle grows faster and harder.
Lawâs breathing becomes heavier.
You notice immediately. Heâs reaching his limit again.
Doflamingo notices too and so, he smiles.
Then suddenly he changes targets from you to Law. Hundreds of razor-thin strings burst toward him.
Law is already moving forward but youâre faster and you throw yourself between them.
The strings pierce your side and hot pain explodes through your body.
Your breath disappears and blood splashes across the stone.
Law freezes and his eyes widen â...No.â
Another string cuts across your shoulder.
Your sword slips from your fingers and it clatters loudly against the floor.
The sound echoes.
Your knees finally give out but Law catches you before you fall.
âNo...â
Not again, not someone else, not because of him.
This is what both you and Law are thinking.
Lawâs hands shake so badly he can barely hold you.
You smile weakly, trying to be exactly like Rosinante used to.
Doflamingo watches, laughing âHow pathetic.â
He slowly walks closer.
âYou really want to follow my idiot little brother into hell...â
He stops a few steps away, looking down at both of you â...just for this useless brat?â
You slowly lift your head, even if your vision is blurry and even if your whole body burns, your smile never disappears.
âDonât call...â you try to say but blood fills your mouth making you cough.
Law grips you tighter âDonât talk.â
You ignore him and your eyes remain on Doflamingo â...him...â
Another painful breath â...your brother...â
You slowly leave Law's grip and stand up. Your hand stays on the cut at your side âI...â
Your fingers tremble â...still have...â
A tear slips down your face â...a promise...â
You smile softly â...to keep.â
Something inside Law snaps. He stands.
His eyes are empty and way colder than youâve ever seen them.
ROOM.
The blue sphere explodes around you all. Law vanishes and appears directly before Doflamingo. Kikoku crashes against awakened strings.
The impact shakes the palace and Doflamingo is actually pushed back. Only one step but itâs enough.
Then a voice echoes across the rooftop.
Luffy.
Doflamingo clicks his tongue âFinally.â
His attention shifts to Luffy for an instant and Law immediately turns back, toward you.
He kneels so fast he nearly slips on the blood. One trembling hand presses against your wound, while the other gently brushes your hair away from your face.
Heâs breathing too fast. He reminds you so much of that little kid who cried for Rosinante, but he also looks so different from that time⊠now heâs trying to save someone else.
His voice is barely audible â...You kept your promise.â
You blink slowly, looking at him.
He smiles⊠a broken smile and says âThank you...â
His throat tightens â...for raising me.â
Your eyes widen.
âFor staying...â his voice cracks âFor every meal...â
A shaky laugh, mixed with tears â...for every time you yelled at me...â
You try to answer, but nothing comes out.
Law gently squeezes your hand.
Then very quietly, like heâs finally speaking to both you and Rosinante he says âI can protect people now.â
He smiles through tears â...So let me protect you.â
ROOM.
You crash into someoneâs arms. Usopp stumbles backward.
Your clothes are soaked in blood and your breathing is shallow.
Usoppâs face drains of color âLAW SENT HER HERE!â
You weakly grab Usoppâs sleeve as support, looking toward the distant rooftop, toward the captain who sent you away and a tiny smile appears.
He finally did it.
13 years ago Rosinante protected Law. Today you protected Law and Law protected you.
The promise isnât just yours anymore, it became his too.
For the first time in years⊠Dressrosa is quiet.
People around are crying, laughing and holding each other after believing they would never see another sunrise.
You walk through the ruined streets slowly, carrying water and bandaging cuts.
The kingdom is broken but itâs alive again.
You smile to yourself.
Later you find Law standing alone at the edge of the harbor.
His hands rest in the pockets of his coat as heâs watching the sea.
You quietly walk beside him âSo...â
Law glances sideways.
âYouâre leaving again.â
He nods once âYeah.â
You smile âGood.â
He raises an eyebrow âGood?â
âIf you stayed in one place for too long, Iâd start worrying.â
A tiny smirk appears âYou worry anyway.â
âThatâs true.â
He lets out a quiet breath that almost sounds like a laugh.
You both look toward the sea and then you softly say âIâm proud of you.â
Law sighs dramatically âYou always start with that.â
âBecause itâs always true.â
He doesnât argue, he simply listens.
You fold your hands behind your back, looking at the waves âYouâve come farther than either of us imagined.â
A pause âYou found your family.â
Another pause âYou protected them.â
You smile softly âYou smiled again.â
He clicks his tongue, but he doesnât deny it.
You inhale slowly, the next words are the ones youâve wanted to tell him for years as you watched his journey in the newspapers âRosinante would be proud of you.â
Lawâs little smile disappears and his eyes lower toward the water. For a long moment he says nothing.
Then, very quietly â...Itâs not me who defeated him.â
You look at him.
His fingers tighten inside his pockets âStraw Hat did.â
You study him. Then you gently bump his shoulder with yours âAnd you think you did nothing?â
He looks at you confused and you smile warmly and patiently, like you used to when he was still a stubborn little boy refusing medicine.
âWho brought Luffy here?â
Law doesnât answer.
âWho spent thirteen years chasing Doflamingo?â
Silence.
You continue anyway.
âWho trusted someone else enough to carry the dream when he couldnât?â
Law lowers his head and your voice softens âRosinante never wanted revenge.â
Law closes his eyes.
You already know heâs remembering him.
âHe wanted children to smile.â your own voice begins to tremble âHe wanted you...â a shaky breath â...to live.â
Lawâs shoulders stiffen.
âThatâs all he ever wanted.â
The harbor grows quiet around you and for a while neither of you speaks.
Then Law lets out a long breath, almost like heâs setting down a weight heâd been carrying for years â...You always sound like him.â
You blink, then laugh quietly âDo I?â
âSometimes itâs annoying.â
âIâll take that as a compliment.â
A small smile returns to his face.
After another long silence Law suddenly speaks without looking at you âCome with me.â
You turn âHm?â
He shrugs, trying to act and sound casual but failing âThe crew⊠You havenât seen them in years.â
You immediately picture Bepo laughing, Penguin complaining and Shachi shouting.
Your heart warms.
Law scratches the back of his neck âYou should come meet them again.â
Your smile grows softer but then you gently shake your head âNo.â
Law finally looks at you, not surprised but waiting.
You glance toward Dressrosa and smile.
âThis...â you gesture toward the sea âThis is your adventure.â then you shake your head âNot mine.â
Your eyes go on the kingdom âI think this place needs help getting back on its feet.â
Law follows your gaze and after a moment he nods as he understands.
You laugh softly and say âTell Bepo I miss him.â
Law nods âI will.â
âAnd tell him⊠Iâm proud of him too.â
Law nods again, then he gives you a look. You know that look⊠one eyebrow raised.
You laugh âYes, yes...â
You roll your eyes dramatically âTell the two other idiots Iâm thankful for them too.â
Law snorts âTheyâll be disappointed thatâs all you said.â
âGood.â
He actually laughs softly and for just a second⊠you imagine how much Rosinante would be proud and happy right now, so much that your chest aches.
You smile small and gentle âI saw everything.â
Law looks at you.
âThe Heart Pirates.â your eyes remain on the sea âYour Jolly Roger.â
A tear begins to gather âEverything you did.â
You smile anyway âThank you, Law.â
He blinks âFor what?â
Your voice barely rises above the wind âIâm glad...â a shaky breath â...someone is still reminding the world that Corasan existed.â
Law is quiet, then he answers âYou do too.â
You look at him and he holds your gaze.
âOtherwise...â his voice is calm and certain â...you wouldnât be here.â
Your smile trembles.
You quickly lower your head, you donât want him to see, not again and not after all these years, but the first sob escapes anyway.
Your shoulders shake and your hands cover your face.
Your voice breaks completely âI...â another sob âI miss him so much...â
The words leave you in pieces, like theyâve been trapped inside your chest for thirteen long years.
Law says nothing, he simply stays beside you, close enough that you know youâre not alone, but far enough that he doesnât take away your grief.
He understands that kind of pain isnât meant to be fixed, but it can be shared to ease it.
You cry and he waits.
When your tears finally slow you wipe your eyes with an embarrassed laugh âSorry.â
Law shakes his head âDonât apologize.â
You smile sadly and then take one deep breath.
The sea stretches endlessly before you, and a new adventure waits for him while a different one waits for you.
You reach up and, just like you did when he was a child you straighten his collar.
Law doesnât complain.
âTake care of yourself.â
âIâll try.â
For a moment⊠you could swear you see a flash of pink and purple feathers dancing in the sea breeze.
Law picks up Kikoku and turns toward the strawhats.
Halfway there he stops without looking back, he lifts one hand in a small wave.
You lift your own, even if he canât see it and you watch until he disappears.
You stand there long after the sea grows still. Then, with one last smile toward the horizon, you whisper into the wind âWeâll keep living, Rosinante⊠just like you wanted.â

Coffee is part of your daily routine.
If you don't start your day with coffee then it can be ensured that the day will be a terrible day.
You're not strict about your coffee, you don't simply stick to one type of drink. You're the type to explore and try new things. From lattes, to espressos, to cappuccinos, matcha, chai tea, hojicha and a lot more. The convenience of living in a big city is that there will always be a bunch of cafes and coffee shops to try with new businesses opening all over the blocks.
You've made it your own personal mission to try as many new shops in the city, not limiting yourself to one place. You want to support as much of the local businesses as possible, staying away from the big corporate brands. You have enough dealing with business and corporate issues in your work life so the least you can do is support your local community in your personal free time.
On your scout to work you happen to come across a new coffee shop. It's slightly hidden on the block but the brand name and minimalist colours catch your eye.
'Fuga.'
You're interested immediately. Coming to a stop outside, the meaning of the shop name is printed in white on the window. 'Fuga â One of the Japanese meanings of this is 'a way of elegance or grace'. We hope to include fuga with every order that we take; there's no rush, just sit back and enjoy.'
The opening and closing times are also unusual. They're open in time for the usual morning rush hour but unlike other coffee stores, they stay open until 9pm. You can't imagine the shifts that their staff must take and how much happens behind the scenes.
Despite being hidden, it is the morning rush hour on a weekday and through the window you can clearly see that there is a queue forming. Underrated coffee shops get discovered pretty quickly these days thanks to social media and it's not long until they'll be announcing a sister location somewhere else in the city.
Stepping inside, a bell chimes overhead but it's drowned out due to the hustle and bustle inside the shop. The scent of crushed coffee beans hits you immediately and the sound of lofi music playing in the background is just about heard over the level of conversations in the store.
Joining the queue, your eyes scan the cafe. It's pretty spacey compared to the other units that most coffee shops rent out. There's clearly more places to sit in the back and all of the window seats are currently taken. There's a handful of students and people in suits either sat working away on their laptops or taking a call. In the corner an old man is sitting back and enjoying a cup of his own hot coffee.
There's three people currently manning the counter and you worry whether that means service is slow but on further observation you notice they work well, weaving in and out of each other. There's a man situated at the till, tall and large you first notice. Then you see that he has pink hair and it's only when you inch closer to being served that you notice he has an array of black tattoos. They're printed on his face as well as around his wrists and you start to wonder how many baristas you've seen with face tattoos.
He seems to be the first.
Behind him seems to be a white haired figure with a plum pink stripe dyed into their hair. It's clear that whoever employs these people are very laid back with how they are presented. The figure moves quickly but also with caution pouring and making drinks before bringing them to the collection section and calling out a name.
You've been so caught up in studying the new environment of the cafe that you don't even realise that it's your turn next. You haven't had the chance to look at the menu so when you finally do, you're left with your mouth open in front of the tattooed man. And on closer observation you find that he's rather intimidating.
"Good morning." you greet.
"What do you want?" he asks in a monotone tone evident that he's been repeating this question for a while. You brush off the fact that he hasn't greeted you back and you simply hum as you stare at the menu.
It's evident that you're irritating the barista by not even knowing what you want, the bored expression on his face and his finger impatiently tapping the counter. Your eyes are scanning the menu until he finally says something that in all of your years of going to local cafes have never heard in your life.
"Can you hurry up?"
"Excuse me?"
"I said," he draws as if it's painfully inconveniencing him to repeat himself, "can you hurry up? There's a queue behind you." It's evident in his tone that he's not asking but rather ordering you to do so and for a split second there's a moment in which you forget that you are in fact the customer.
"I'm aware." you say, "I'm deciding."
"You had two minutes to decide." he retorts.
"I've never been here before, of course I'm going to take my time looking at the menu." you keep a calm tone making it clear that you don't want any misunderstandings.
"Do you want a medal? What's your order?"
Fine. You think to yourself, you're gonna give him the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe it's been a long morning, maybe he wasn't supposed to be on shift today but then got called in, maybe he's just an asshole. You don't care. But what you do care about is getting your morning coffee as usual.
"Vanilla latte with oat milk please."
"We're out of oat milk." he announces keeping his tone flat with enough space to add some frustration into it as if this was your own fault.
"Really?"
He doesn't reply, keeping a blank face that silently asks 'do I look like I'm joking?'
"Uhhh, could I get an iced strawberry matcha then please?"
"We're out."
You hold back a sigh, forcing a tight lipped smile on your face. "Fine. A cappuccino. Any milk you have. Please."
The barista doesn't look up, tapping onto a screen. "Regular or large?"
"What's the difference?" you ask.
He points to the side where the size cup differences are shown and as usual the large is 50p extra.
"Regular."
"Name?"
After giving your name, he mutters something under his breath and if you were in a bad mood this morning then you would have asked him what his issue was but instead you keep quiet, silently wishing he spills lukewarm coffee all over his disgustingly attractive face. Somehow. If it was logical to spill coffee on one's face.
"Four fifty. Tap your card and stand over there." he orders without any patience.
You don't even think twice before tapping your phone and moving immediately. In your mind you continue to curse him forever whilst watching his back muscles move swiftly as he makes your drink. Him and the white haired figure switched places with him making your order and his co-worker now at the till.
You expected a long wait but it takes less than five minutes before he's yelling out your name with impatience.
And he pronounced it wrong.
Whether it was on purpose or he wasn't listening to you at all, you'll never know but you go ahead and take your order. You can't even say thank you directly before he's rushing off and completing another order. Deciding to get out as soon as possible, you grab as many sugar packets you need, a stirrer and you head on out.
"How fucking rude." you mutter to yourself, opening the lid to your cappuccino. There's no latte art and you wouldn't expect there to be given the rush. You pour your sugar in and stir until satisfied, slowly making your way to the office building.
Sure, you know baristas are sometimes not the most welcoming people given the high stress level of their jobs and you've come across some reclusive baristas before but this oneâŠhe's just plain rude. You don't usually complain about how people do their job but this one has really struck a nerve.
How was he hired in the first place? Does the manager know he speaks to customers like this? How did he even pass an interview to get hired for this place? Does he act like this with all his customers?
Those are the questions that you continue to ask yourself whilst on the way to work, you get a little distracted after taking a sip of your coffee and coming to find out that your cappuccino is actually pretty good. Usually some cafes don't do cappuccinos the right way but there's something about this cup that makes you wonder what exact type of coffee bean they use.
You make a mental note to check later in your free time and it's not long before you start to feel rejuvenated by your coffee. Despite your bad customer service, you still manage to get a good cup of coffee to support your day and it's almost enough to forget your bad interaction.

Almost.
That cup of coffee was good.
Good enough to make you check their company website and check their 'about us' page.
And of course it just so happens that you stumble onto their google reviews.
Fuga Coffee Shop | reviews (54)
Naturally, your laptop cursor clicks onto their reviews. They only opened two months ago so it's understandable why the reviews must be so low, they're just starting out. The reviews are automatically filtered to their top reviews, which is from just over two weeks ago.

The grumpy tattooed barista is a little anti-social but he makes the best lattes ever! will be coming back again! four stars.
"A little?" you say aloud to yourself, "give me a break."
The review that follows under that is also highly popular.
ghostsarerealiswear2334_67
free wifi and they open early and don't close till late?! best study place ever! (please like my review!) five stars.
kentoforwork89
A nice and newly established restaurant under the Japanese name 'Fuga', the name is fitting for its elegant service and high quality coffee. They have a wide range on the menu and serve food too. The cafe is spacious, plenty of space to study or work and if you use electronics they have power sockets dotted around. Good prices for the service and highly reliable. I will be coming here again as it is not overwhelmingly busy or loud like some other places. I highly recommend. four and a half stars.

tHE tattooed barisSta maybe be cold hoever his coffees are the warmest!!!!! xoxoxoxo peefect date location (soz for typos idid this fast on my phone so i coulget fre emochi) FIVE STARTS
You let out a sigh reading the reviews, it's a little cheesy but you get the point. Reading all 54 reviews you've come to find that a lot of people find the same tattooed barista annoying but miraculously all is forgotten once you've tried a coffee from him.
There isn't one totally bad review â maybe from an AI bot who says that the location is in a whole other city but other than that it's clear that this cafe is a new and upcoming contender as one of the best spots in the city.
And that doesn't sit right in your soul.
Taking this personally as someone who runs a company, you understand that if people were talking about your employees in this manner then they would be subject to being fired. You're confused on how this man is still employed even after fifty reviews, surely the owner must be reading them.
You sit in silence for a while as you contemplate.
Should you?
Or shouldn't you?
Hesitant, your fingers hover over your keyboard, testing out a sentence.
i tried this cafe as a new customer â no, no, too cliche, you backspace your sentence entirely.
Thinking for a moment, you reflect on what you want to say. You start typing slowly before it all flows within your fingertips, a mini paragraph forming on your screen. You're writing in the heat of the moment, out of pure frustration and embarrassment. Most people would be able to forgive and forget but wellâŠunfortunately you're not most people.

this place is relatively new in this city and as a coffee lover i was extremely enthusiastic to try this place out. my high hopes for this cafe were quickly crushed once i was (not even greeted) but completely mistreated by the tattooed barista.
i did not like this service, no matter how good the quality of the coffee was.
i do not think a barista should be talking to customers like this. i felt severely unwelcomed and i am having second thoughts on returning to this place.
there's better and kinder staff in other cafes in the city who i will gladly give my money too.
1 out of 5 stars.
Sure, it's a littleâŠKaren but you feel petty. Highlighting all the adverbs makes you think that your english teacher from high school would be proud. There's a small feeling of guilt in the pit of your stomach as it dawns on you that your review will be the first one star review the company has ever had.
But this is not a baseless review. You actually felt this way at the time. It's a little exaggerated but who cares, they don't know you and they never will because you're not stepping foot there ever again.
There's not much satisfaction in the world that you can get other than pressing post on your review.

An hour later you've moved on with your life. You've settled into your home, following your post-work routine and you're now sitting on your couch. Your phone lights up with a notification and your eyes land on the screen.
You get a notification from your gmail that someone has mentioned you in a reply and with your thumb clicking on the message your eyes slightly widen.
The owner has replied to your message.
And for the first time it seems because they haven't seemed to reply to all the other positive messages on the site.
You'd forgotten that this was an option for them, simply thinking that your review would just get the employee removed. Your eyes skim over the reply.
From the Owner of Fuga in reply to anonymouscapybara45

Fuga Owner (Jin Itadori)
Your mind is baffled.
Free drinksâŠfor a week? Because of your bad review?
Not even the other low starred reviews have had this level of response from the owner. You're the first one star review they've had and they haven't even responded maliciously. You can't pass up on this good of an opportunity to have free coffee for the next week? You could be saving a ridiculous amount of money.
You re-read the review a few times to make sure that it still seems real to your eyes.
Maybe it will be the last time that you'll see that barista again.
**
You try your luck the following day. You're a bit more hopeful walking into the coffee shop the next day. It's a little less busier than the previous day and the queue is a little shorter.
But most important of them all, you don't see that tattooed jerk around.
This time serving the till is the white haired figure you saw making the drinks the last time you arrived. Behind them works another person that you haven't seen before who has their back turned making orders.
Soon enough it's your turn to go up to the till.
"Hello." They greet and almost immediately you feel comfortable that you won't be shunned for simply being a customer at this cafe.
"Good morning," you greet back with a smile before explaining your situation. "This may be a bit awkward but uhm, I was the customer who wrote a review of this cafe and uhâ the owner said I was given a voucher as some sort of compensation."
For a second you thought you were scammed or that the entire thing was a lie just to catch the poor customer who's written terrible reviews but you watch as the wave of recognition hits the barista.
Instead they nod and say, "one moment" before turning around to head to the back. You shift from one foot to the other, patiently waiting and in the meantime thinking of what you'd want to get as your first free drink.
Your smile soon drops once you see the figure that follows the person that you were speaking to at the till.
That tattooed bastard.
His eyes widen slightly at the sight of you before turning into a miserable frown, clearly he wasn't expecting you to be the customer who wrote the review but there's also something that tells you that he's not totally surprised.
The white haired barista makes their way back to you, "If you go over to Sukuna he can help you with your voucher."
Sukuna. Now you know his name. And now you know he's somehow still employed by this damn coffee shop.
You walk over with hesitation and you can't help but notice Sukuna's eyes watching you as you make your over to a quiet area.
"It was you." he says but there's no bite to his tone. It's merely a statement he's making but you don't miss the judgement in his eyes.
"I was being honest." you shrug, holding your head high. You have no regrets whatsoever, you were merely giving constructive feedback about an environment that felt hostile to you. About a certain someone who was hostile.
Sukuna leans in a little closer to you, one hand placed on the counter as he speaks to you. "Because of you and your stupid review I have to serve you free drinks for a week, which is coming out of my pay by the way."
"Maybe it'll teach you how to speak nicer to customers." you retort back.
You notice his hand turning into a tight fist, gripping the counter, clearly holding back on responding to you. With his other hand he slides over a piece of paper. "Here's your damn voucher and, no I didn't write it, so what do you want?"
You tilt your head a little at him.
Sukuna corrects himself and in a deadpan monotone he starts over. "Hello. Welcome to Fuga. What would you like today?"
A satisfied smile reaches your lips. "Much better. I would like an iced strawberry matcha with oat milk please."
"Regular or large?"
"Hmm since it's on the house, large please."
"It's not on the houseâŠ" he mutters.
"What was that?"
"Nothing."
"Hmmmmm."
Sukuna disappears, diving into the hustle and bustle of his other colleagues making your own personal drink. As he makes your drink you look over your voucher, Sukuna's written today's date already and the expiry date is set seven days from now.
Once again, your order doesn't take him long and you spot your green and pink drink in his large hands. Approaching he hands your drink over to you which you thank before taking a sip.
On your tongue, the grassy flavour is immediately sedated by the sweetness of the strawberry at the bottom. There's the perfect amount of ice and matcha in your drink for you to enjoy and it takes everything in you not to fall to your knees and praise Sukuna on how great he's made this drink.
"Not bad." you murmur, downplaying your enthusiasm. "Can I get another free drink?"
"One per day stupid."
"The voucher doesn't clarify that, it's handwritten."
"I don't care."
"Would you like me to write another poor review?"
Now this is what gets Sukuna clenching his jaw together. He takes a pause, calming himself down before speaking to you again. "No anonymouscapybara45 I wouldn't like that because you got me in a lot of shit for this."
You don't flinch when he mentions your username. Ah, so he's read the review then. You quip back, "Your boss fire you yet?"
"No," and there's a slight pout, "he's just annoying the shit out of me at the moment."
"Hmm right, if you make me an iced vanilla latte with oat milk to go I think I might just refrain from writing a bad review about you for today."
You watch as he clenches his jaw in frustration. "Just this once. For the rest of the days you get one drink only."
"And a sweet treat!" you chime in.
Sukuna pauses, mulling over your suggestion. He lets out a sigh.
"A free drink and a snack." He offers.
"Deal." You outstretch your free hand to shake on.
Sukuna looks at your hand in pure disgust like you've just offered to spit in his mouth. "Deal. Just don't make my job harder than it needs to be." he mutters.
"I don't think I can promise that." you reply and you watch in pure satisfaction as he walks away mumbling to himself.
thank you for reading!! i hope you enjoyed :) i won't be running a taglist for this mini series (pls it is mini) but ya comments and reblogs are appreciated!!

âSteve Rogers?â
The man hums in answer, his gaze fixated on the small television mounted above the bar.
Offering your hand, you introduce yourself. âWe spoke on the phone.â
His head leisurely turns, and though theyâre hidden behind dark sunglasses, you feel his eyes as they sweep over you before he accepts your outstretched hand.
âYou want me to take you into the jungle.â
Glancing down at his hand as it engulfs yours, you canât tell if heâs asking a question or stating a fact.
Either way, you respond with âJake said you were the best man for the job.â
Sort of.
[2 DAYS PRIOR]
âAre you crazy?â Jake gawks, âI mean, yes, youâre crazy, but this is like a whole new level for you.â
âIâm not here for your opinion.â You assert, resting your palms on his desk and leaning forward. âI just need someone to take us, someone who knows the area.â
Running a hand through his spiked hair, Jake replies âLook, I know a few guys there but none are gonna buy what youâre selling. Treasure hunters are a dime a dozen in South America.â
âExplorers.â You correct, heaving a sigh. âCâmon, there has to be one guy willing.â
âIâm telling you thereâs not.â
Slapping your hands on his desk, you straighten up. âFine then, weâll go alone.â
âWhat?â Jake splutters, âYou wouldnât, you - fuck, you would.â He groans.
Glaring at you for a moment, Jake shakes his head before rummaging through the papers strewn across his desk.
âDo you have any idea how dangerous Ecuador is? Do you know how many explorers die there each year?â He lectures.
âWhy do you think Iâm here?â You retort.
Muttering under his breath, Jake finds what heâs looking for and meets your unyielding gaze. âIâm not saying heâll do it, but if you have a chance with anyone, itâs Rogers.â
You grab the small piece of paper Jake holds out to you, but his tight grip stops you from taking it.
âHe wonât be cheap.â Jake warns.
âOf course.â
A few seconds pass before he relinquishes the paper to you.
Smiling sweetly, you pocket it. âThank you Jake.â
Huffing, he gestures to the door. âGo.â
Your smile grows at his exasperated demand - which you quickly obey.
Jakeâs voice calls out behind you just as you open his office door.
âDonât tell Rogers what youâre looking for!â
[PRESENT]
Releasing your hand, Steve pushes up from the bar stool.
You have to tilt your head up and up as you watch him reach his full height.
âThat was awfully nice of him.â Steve states dryly, his attention returning to the football game occuring on the television. âYou didnât say why you wanted to go into the jungle.â
Right.
âWell, Iâm an -â
A low whistle interrupts you, drawing both your and Steveâs attention.
âMaxwell.â You greet the approaching man, smiling through gritted teeth.
Ignoring you, Max looks Steve up and down before announcing âPerfect, youâre just the kind of brute we need.â
Heâs not wrong. Steve Rogers is built like a brick shithouse and most definitely suited for the task at hand.
Stopping beside you, Max extends his hand. âYou must be Steve Rogers, Iâm Max.â
Giving a small nod, Steve shakes his hand before aptly reminding you both âI havenât agreed to anything yet.â
You keep your lie brief.
âAs I was saying, weâre here to study specific sections of the Amazon rainforest for a thesis Iâm working on.â
Throwing an arm around your shoulders, Max helpfully - and truthfully, adds âSheâs an archaeologist.â
Steve studies you both, his face expressionless.
Your stomach drops.
He doesnât believe us.
âYouâre treasure hunters.â Steve declares, confirming your fear.
âActually, weâre explorers.â
Continuing on like you hadnât spoken, Steve says âAnd Iâm guessing youâre after the treasure of Llanganates.â
âGood guess.â
Sighing at Max's admission, you try again âWeâre -â
âListen,â Steve cuts off. âThe jungle and mountain ranges here are no joke, and Iâm not risking my life just so you two can come to the same conclusion as every other schmuck thatâs gone looking for that treasure, which is that it doesnât exist.â
Your jaw drops at his words. âIâm no schmuck Mr. Rogers and just because you don't -â
âWeâll pay you well.â Max intervenes, shooting you a wary glance as you glare up at the large man.
Steve places his hands on his hips, his attention still on you while you bite your tongue.
You swear his lips twitch with a smirk.
Asshole.
âHow much?â Steve eventually asks, turning his head to Max.
âHow much do you want?â Max grins.
Silence falls as Steve mulls over the question.
âFive thousand a day.â
Your jaw drops again. âNo way!â
âDone.â
Baffled, you gape at Max. âThatâs an insane amount.â
Lifting his arm from your shoulders, he shrugs âThis is an insane trip.â
All you can do is stare as Max holds his hand out to Steve once more, stipulating âFive thousand a day for you to take us exactly where we want to go and to keep us from dying horrible deaths.â
Nodding, Steve shakes his hand. âDeal.â
You should feel ecstatic.
âWell then, when do we leave?â Max asks, âWeâre currently staying at the Tesoro Inn.â
âFirst I need to know where weâre going.â
Both men turn to look at you.
Reaching into your jean pocket reluctantly, you pull out the map you outlined the beginning of your expedition on and hand it over to Steve.
Unfolding it, he studies the red line. âItâs incomplete.â
Of course, genius.
âYou can see the rest when you get us that far.â Arms crossed, you raise your eyebrows, all but daring him to argue back.
Steve regards you from behind his sunglasses before stating âWeâll meet in front of the inn tomorrow morning at five thirty.â As an afterthought he adds âMake sure you pack light.â
You canât prove it of course, but you just know heâs directing that last comment at you.
Narrowing your eyes, youâre dragged away by Max before you can utter a scathing response.
Steveâs mouth twitches again.
[THE NEXT DAY]
You stand outside the inn, watching as the sun begins to peek above the horizon.
âSo heâs an ass and terrible at keeping time.â You announce in a cheery tone.
Max groans, taking a sip of his coffee.
I suppose after last night heâs probably had enough of me ranting about Steve Rogers.
âDarling, please, just ignore his personality and focus on his good looks.â
You scoff loudly.
âOh, donât even try.â Max laughs, âI know how much of a sucker you are for big arms and hands.â
Whatever.
A voice you unfortunately recognise calls out, âGood morning.â
Looking over your shoulder at Steveâs approaching figure, you use the barrier of your sunglasses to properly appraise him for the first time.
Steveâs tall and built, that much you had observed yesterday afternoon.
His hair is dark blond and long, the ends of it curling against the collar of his shirt while some strands fall around his face and over his still present sunglasses. The beard he has is thick and youâll forcibly admit itâs the best youâve ever seen.
You werenât typically one for beards, but he made it work.
Similar to yesterday, Steve wears a long sleeved shirt thatâs rolled up to his elbows and khaki military pants held up by a brown belt. Over one shoulder he carries a backpack while a duffel bag hangs from his left hand.
âMr. Rogers,â You greet with a faux smile. âHow nice of you to finally join us.â
Steve grins, coming to a stop in front of you. âRetract those claws kitten, I had to secure our ride.â
As if on cue, the loud rumble of an engine cuts through the peaceful morning air as an old pickup truck comes coasting around the corner, pulling up before you all.
âThis must be the new Bentley model,â Max quips good-naturedly.
The older man hanging out of the driverâs window gives a rough laugh. âAh, un comediante.â
âSolo medio tiempo.â Max retorts, earning another laugh.
Chucking his bags into the bed of the pickup, Steve grabs yours and Maxâs off the ground and adds them to the pile. Twisting back to you, Steve extends a hand for the satchel slung across your body.
You shake your head, grasping tightly at the brown leather strap.
He raises an eyebrow but makes no further comment, instead gesturing to the bed of the pickup. âAlright you two, hop in.â
While you and Max climb into the back, Steve rounds the pickup and gets in the passenger side.
Max knocks twice on the back of the cab once youâre both seated and the pickup rolls forward with a loud bang, rocking the two of you sideways.
Resting a heavy arm around your shoulders for stability as you each sway with the motion of the pickup on the dirt road, Max states âI love riding in the bed of trucks, reminds me of -â
âArizona.â You finish with a soft smile.
âYep,â Max pops the p. âWhere we found nothing but rock.â
âAnd got burnt to a crisp for our efforts.â You recall, looking up at him as he laughs.
âLetâs pray this expedition proves more fruitful.â
âIt will.â You answer without a second thought, clutching your satchel again. âThis time is different.â
Arizona had been a spur of the moment idea, something to do for fun and experience - nothing more. Thereâd been no prior research, no maps, no coordinates.
Humming, Max leans forward and grabs the rolled up sleeping bag from his backpack, placing it between the cab and his head before closing his eyes. âTell me about it again.â
Settling against his chest, you recite the story you know by heart.
âIn 1532, Spanish conquistadores captured an Inca Emperor named Atahualpa who promised them a room full of gold and twice as much silver in exchange for his life. The conquistadores agreed and soon treasures from across the region were being brought to them. However, the conquistadoresâ fear of a re-energised Inca military led them to kill the Emperor before the ransom was fulfilled.â
âAn Inca General named Rumiñahui had been en route with an enormous amount of treasure for the Emperorâs ransom when he learnt that Atahualpa had been killed. In response, Rumiñahui ordered his men to take the ransom into the uninhabited land of Llanganates and hide it.â
"Rumiñahui continued to haul even more gold, silver, jewels, and Inca artefacts to hide in Llanganates until he was captured by the Spanish. They tortured him for the treasureâs location, but he refused to tell them.â
âHeâs a better man than me,â Max mumbles.
âIn 1603, a Spaniard named Valverde married an Inca woman and claimed that her family showed him the treasure. Before his death, he wrote out the treasureâs location and even drew a map to guide others to it.â
âPeople have used and improved Valverdeâs map for centuries trying to find the treasure, and the last person to have claimed finding it was Barth Blake in 1886. In a letter he detailed his discovery of gold, silver, emeralds, and other treasures, and stated that he, nor a thousand men could remove all that he had found.â
âSo in over a century no-one has claimed to have found even a piece of the treasure?â Max questions, opening his eyes and looking down at you.
Lifting your head from his chest, you shake it. âPlenty have tried. A man named Mark Honigsbaum wrote a book in 2004 about his attempt. He concluded that either the Incans retrieved the treasure centuries ago or itâs been lost forever in the mountains.â
âYou believe itâs still in the mountains, right?â
âYes, in its original hiding spot, just not where itâs marked on Valverdeâs map.â
Max huffs, âWhy canât they just say âgo to this place, hereâs the treasure, spend it wiselyâ?â
You chuckle, but both you and Max know you donât - canât agree with his sentiment.
Finding the location of this treasure has been your sole purpose for years. Youâve lived and breathed this lost piece of history for so long that you almost felt a part of it.
To be able to find something that you couldnât simply be given a map to was everything to you. Youâve earned the coordinates sitting in your satchel through your own hard work and time - so much time.Â
Succeeding at this would be your lifeâs greatest achievement.
As well as your greatest honour. The artefacts, like tiles from the Temple of the Sun, stowed away with that gold and silver were invaluable pieces of lost Inca culture that deserved to be returned to the people and shared with the world.
âHow much is it all worth?â Max asks with a whimsical smile.
Sighing, you give him the answer he already knows, but just likes hearing. âThirty-seven billion dollars, at least. However its historical significance is priceless."
Max squeezes his arm around your shoulders, pulling you even further into his side. "Well seeing how youâre in it for the history, I guess youâll have no qualms with me taking ninety percent.â
âNinety?â You repeat, shocked. âThatâs generous of you, I expected you to take at least ninety-nine.â
Pressing his mouth to the top of your head with a loud smack, Max states âYou underestimate my love for you.â
[SOME HOURS LATER]
âLooks like weâve reached the end of the road.â Max announces once the pickup has slowed to a stop.
You wouldnât exactly call what youâve been driving on for the past few hours âroadâ.
A door creaks open before being slammed shut.
âAlright kids,â Steve appears to your right, reaching for the bags. âThis is our stop.â
Your legs wobble when you stand and your ass is completely numb from sitting so long.
Gingerly, you lower yourself out of the back of the pickup and walk over to Steve, Max ambling behind you.
Collecting your backpack off the ground, you straighten up as the pickup rolls forward with its signature loud bang and makes a u-turn.
âBuena suerte!â The driver calls out as he passes, raising a hand.
âGracias!â You and Max return, waving back.
Sliding your sunglasses up onto your head, you turn around to face the famed Amazon rainforest and take a deep breath.
This is it.
âPlease, after you.â Max smiles at Steve, sweeping his arm out towards the mass of green.
Dutifully, Steve pulls out a machete from the holder around his thigh and steps forward into the awaiting wilderness.
[SOME HOURS LATER]
The first few hours of the trek are completed in silence.
You listen to the soundtrack of the Amazon, admiring the nature around you while getting tripped up by it more often than not.
Itâs thick - and humbling.
There are trees that stretch up so high they must almost touch the sky, and their trunks are so wide that you can see nothing else when standing in front of them.
Unfortunately, none of it can distract you from the heat.
The humidity is like nothing youâve ever experienced and the sun isnât even at its highest point yet - not that you can see it.
You removed your long sleeved shirt a while ago, stuffing it into your backpack with your sunglasses. This left you in a dark green tank top and brown hiking pants.
âWeâll take a break here.â Steve declares, breaking the long silence.
Pushing your backpack off your shoulders, you take a seat on it and pull out your water bottle, taking a greedy gulp.
âI miss the truck.â Max sighs forlornly, collapsing beside you.
His skin is shiny with sweat, just like yours.
You pat his back sympathetically.
âI thought you were looking for the treasure of Llanganates.â Steve says suddenly, sitting on a fallen tree across from the two of you.
You think itâs a question, but his tone makes it sound like a statement.
He likes doing that.
âWe are.â You retort.
âYour map doesnât follow Valverdeâs.â
Surprised, your eyebrows rise. âYouâre familiar with Valverdeâs map?â
âDo you really think you two are the first Iâve taken on this wild goose chase?â
Raising your chin defiantly, you assert âWeâll be the first to find it.â
Steve smiles at your confidence. âGuess weâll just have to wait and see kitten, but Iâll keep my bet on you going home empty-handed.â
âOh, I like a good bet, what are we waging?â Max pipes in.
You roll your eyes while Steveâs sunglasses continue to hide his.
After a moment your guide decides âIf we find the treasure, my services will be rendered free.â
Max scoffs a laugh âHow kind, and what percentage of the treasure will you be asking for?â
Steve smirks, âNothing absurd, just one percent.â
Which would only work out to about three hundred and seventy million dollars.
Yeah, nothing absurd.
To Max, itâs a bargain.
âI knew I liked you for a reason." He grins, picking himself up and walking over to Steve to shake on their bet.
âWhen we find the treasure we will be donating it.â You deadpan.
âIgnore her.â Resting his hands on his hips, Max says âShe doesnât understand greed like the rest of us simpletons.â
Steve hums in agreement, âYouâve got finderâs fee written all over you kitten.â
âWould you not call me that?â You glare.
His mouth twitches.
âI thought it was fitting.â Max mumbles from where he stands.
âAnd yes Mr. Rogers, we will be donating the treasure and accepting whatever finderâs fee weâre offered.â
Standing up, you place your backpack on, deciding for the group that the rest period is over.
As you stride away, you hear Max mutter to Steve âDonât worry, we can fill our bags with goodies before the museum stiffs show up.â
[THAT NIGHT]
You sit in front of the small campfire Steve built earlier as a light source.
Heat isnât something youâre in short supply of.
Max is lying in his sleeping bag on the ground beside you while Steve sits across from you both, on the other side of the fire.
Heâs finally removed his sunglasses, but the night hides Steveâs eyes just as well as his shades. Instead of colour, all you see in his eyes is the reflection of the flickering flames between you.
âI was thinking -â
âUh-oh.â
âShut up.â Max sighs, lifting his hand to slap your closest arm. âI was thinking about what you said about that Blake guy, the one who wrote the letter saying he found the treasure.â
âHmm?â You prompt.
âWell, it sounded like he really found it, so why didnât he take it?â
âBlake took what he could carry, planning on -â
âReturning with more men and supplies to retrieve the rest, but on his way to New York from Ecuador he disappeared overboard. Most believe he was deliberately pushed to keep the treasure safe.â
Your head snaps towards Steve and he smirks at your reaction.
âOnce again, not my first goose chase kitten.â
Youâre about to tell him once again not to call you that, but Max speaks first, clearly trying to avoid another back and forth.
âWhatâs your deal anyway? Howâd you end up in this hot ass country?â
Steveâs smirk fades as he shrugs, his expression hardening.
You side-eye Max.
Good one idiot.
âThereâs not much to it.â Steve states. âI used to be in the military, now Iâm not. Now I choose what jobs I do, which is usually anything that pays well.â
The fire crackles.
âWhat about you two?â Steve retorts. âRich kids with nothing better to do? I canât tell if youâre related or dating -â
âEw.â You groan, pulling a face.
âWe are not related, nor are we dating.â Max informs.
âAnd heâs the rich kid.â You add, gesturing down at Max.
âYep, she just mooches off of me and I mooch off my dad.â
That earns a chuckle from Steve.
âHis dad is the director of one of the most respected museums in the world.â You elaborate. âI interned there while completing my degree, which is how we met.â
Itâs hard to believe that was almost three years ago. When you first met Max you certainly had no idea how important heâd become in your life.
Youâll never forget the first thing he ever said to you.
âSo, do you consciously dress yourself like Rachel Weisz in âThe Mummyâ or is that just an odd coincidence?â
[THE NEXT DAY]
âI take back my complaints about the jungle.â Max mutters, observing the swamp.
Midday has just passed and so has the first and shortest section of your expedition - the rainforest.
Now the wetland awaits you all. You estimate that itâll take roughly three days to get through.
Three days of mud, stench, and the feeling of being constantly wet.
âStaring at it isnât gonna get us through it any faster.â Steve asserts, taking the first step into the green water.
Everyone has tucked the ends of their pants into their thick socks to try and limit as much contact with the water as possible.
You follow after Steve, Max trailing behind you with a reluctant sigh.
Itâs slow-going, trying to avoid branches and rocks hidden beneath the waterâs surface that Steve finds with the long stick in his hand. The same stick he uses to avoid deceivingly deep puddles.
However, you soon miss the relative easiness of trekking through the water once youâve reached the mud.
Loud suction sounds are all that can be heard as the three of you trudge through the mud that swallows your feet and then some with every step, a dark line on your pants indicating the highest itâs reached - halfway up your calves.
It takes all of your strength to free yourself, just so you can do it all over again.
âMy legs are going to be ripped after this.â Max pants.
You can only huff a breath in response, too focused on pulling your feet from the mud. The suction is so strong youâre worried you might lose a boot - or two.
It also doesnât help that your backpack feels like itâs full of bricks.
âOh thank god, solid ground.â Max announces gratefully.
You look up - not to see if heâs telling the truth, but to see why he sounds so far away.
Wasnât he just beside me?
âShit.â You mutter to yourself.
Both men have made better progress than you. Max has spotted the solid ground because Steve now stands on it.
Staring back down at your engulfed feet, you grit your teeth and use every bit of strength you have left to try and quicken your pace. Every hour of daylight was precious and there wasnât much left of todayâs.
Maybe itâs their longer legs or strength - Max isnât that much stronger than me, or maybe their backpacks simply donât weigh a million tonnes -
God my legs are burning.
Then suddenly, itâs like a weight is lifted.
Because it is.
Your backpack is pulled from your shoulders before Steve places it over his own, his bags deserted on the hard ground ahead.
âOh.â You squeak, startled by his presence. âUh, thank you - wait, what - put me down!â You demand as youâre lifted from the mud with an echoing pop.
Steveâs hands grasp your hips as he pulls you out with what seems to be little effort, his arms bulging with the action. Then youâre upside down, thrown over one of his broad shoulders.
âAre you a caveman? You canât just manhandle me!â You protest, affronted.
You brace your hands on his lower back, trying to hold yourself up so your face doesnât bump into his back.
Is he just all muscle?
Heâs rock solid underneath your hands.
Steve chuckles, âI just did kitten.â
âWould you -â
âTime is valuable out here, we canât wait around for you to finish playing in the mud.â
Glaring at the mud beneath you, you insist âPut me down or Iâll fire you.â
Itâs a very weak threat since you and Max kind of need him, but itâs all youâve got.
Also⊠maybe you kind of donât want him to put you down.Â
Maybe.
Another chuckle. âYou didnât hire me, nor are you the one paying me.â
âYou know what -â
âQuit whining!â Max calls out, sounding close. âI told him to go get you, I want out of here.â
âSee? Iâm just doing what the boss asked.â
âHow noble of you Mr. Rogers.â You mumble.
âWell itâs a nice change of scenery kitten.â
It takes a moment for you to understand his meaning, but itâs obvious when you do, your sharp inhale of air audible as you open your mouth to tell him to go -
You squeak again as youâre abruptly dropped onto your feet.
âAnd stop with the Mr. Rogers talk.â Steve says, shrugging off your backpack and hooking it over your left shoulder before you can snatch it from him.
Dropping his head so that heâs looking into your eyes - his are still hidden behind those damn sunglasses, Steve purrs âBut if you insist on being so formal, sir will do just fine.â
Your mouth falls open and Steve moves out of the way with a chuckle when you attempt to swing your backpack at him.
The absolute -
Max appears beside you and grabs your arm lightly, urging you forward as Steve continues trekking ahead.
âPlease remember we need him alive.â Max implores.
[THAT NIGHT]
âNow will you admit to me that heâs hot?â
âShut up.â You snap at Max, shooting him a glare.
âJust look at his -â
Covering his mouth with your hand, you raise your eyebrows in warning.
Youâre sitting on a log in front of the campfire not admiring Steve in the distance, illuminated by the torch on the ground beside him as he changes shirts for the night and -
Max snorts against your hand, making you drop it as your gaze quickly shifts to the fire while Steve changes into a different pair of pants.
Canât he do that somewhere more private?
âOh darling, youâd love his thighs, have a look -â
âWould you shut up?â You hiss.
âToo bad itâs dark,â Max carries on. âI canât really see what his underwear is hiding - ow!â
Whack. âShut.â Whack. âUp.â Whack.
âAlright, alright.â He surrenders, rubbing his arm. âJesus, youâre in one of your violent moods today.âÂ
Then, as if he canât resist - because he canât, Max smirks âUnlike Harry, I bet heâd actually know how to -â
âOh my god -â
âWhoâs Harry?â
You jump at the sound of Steveâs voice and your hand freezes midair, interrupted on its way to hit Max again.
âNo one.â
âHer ex.â
I will murder you before sunrise - thatâs what the look you direct at Max promises.
Steve hums, taking a seat on the other side of the fire. âAnd what didnât he know how to do?â
His smirk tells you heâs already assumed.
I want to die.
No.
I want them to die.
âCook.â You declare, glaring at him. âHe didnât know how to cook.â
âWas terrible at it,â Max reinforces with a sad tone.
You have to refrain from rolling your eyes.
âThatâs a shame.â Steve states in his deep voice, a hint of laughter detectable in it. âEvery man should know how to cook.â
âI wouldnât call him much of a man.â Max inputs.
Fucking hell.
The comment is probably a little harsh, but Max is your best friend.
Harry had been your first and last attempt at a relationship. Heâd been nice enough but⊠well, that was it really. Just nice, tolerable⊠passionless. Youâd stick to the fictional men in your romance novels.
âCan you cook Steve?â Max asks, as casual as ever.
You turn to him with wide eyes.
âIâm a great cook.â You can clearly hear the laughter in Steveâs voice now.
âOf course youâd think that.â You jab, looking from Max to him.
Steve meets your irritated gaze over the fire with a smirk. âIâve never had any complaints.â
âWell,â You shrug, biting back âDoesnât mean they walked away satisfied.â
âI wouldnât say they walked.â
Max chortles next to you, choking on his own spit while heat floods your face and neck.
âOkay.â Standing abruptly, you state âIâm going to bed.â
Their laughter follows you all the way to your sleeping bag.
[TWO DAYS LATER]
âI smell so bad.â
âIâm glad you said it.â
âOh, because you smell so much better.â You mock, eyeing Max.
The wetland has been punishing. Youâre covered in mud, bug bites, and drenched in your own sweat - not to mention every part of your body aches. Itâs unpleasant, to say the least.
In an attempt to distract yourself, you decide to tell Max some more historical fun facts.Â
Well, theyâre fun to you.
âYou know, Valverde drew the map to the treasure before his death because he wanted to give it as a gift to the King of Spain.â You begin, âThe King sent out an expedition to find the treasure but -â
âThey were unsuccessful - obviously, and the friar that was accompanying them died in a swamp.â Steve gazes around, âPossibly this one.â
You purse your lips at his interruption, but canât find it within yourself to be annoyed.
âAlso,â You try again, addressing Max. âThe Spanish conquistadors would constantly dig up large quantities of platinum while searching for gold and while we know platinum to be more valuable than gold -â
âThey dismissed it as junk because being so rare, they didnât know what it was. All they knew was that it wasnât gold, so they would dump it as scrap.â Steve concludes, his shade covered eyes looking over at you.
âThey threw away one of the rarest and most precious metals on Earth because their lust for gold, something that only had value because they gave it value, blinded them to the true, unique treasure right in front of them.â
It feels like the air has been knocked out of your lungs.
Forcing a huff, you feebly respond âWould you stop that?â
âStop what?â Steve smirks.
That damn, all-knowing smirk.
âKnowing⊠things.â
Wow, good one. You really got him.
Steveâs smirk widens into a grin. âWhy kitten? You like it when I talk smart?â
Yes, it makes me want to climb you like a tree.
âNo, I just prefer not being interrupted.â
âSomeone please correct me if Iâm wrong.â Max pipes up, âBut is this hellhole about to end?â
You gaze ahead and see that Max hasnât gone mad. The wetland is indeed about to end.
âWeâll set up camp on the outskirts of the swamp.â Steve directs, glancing at his watch. âTomorrow weâll head into the grasslands, thereâs a lake on our path that we should reach by the afternoon.â
[THE NEXT AFTERNOON]
âItâs the prettiest thing Iâve ever seen.â Max sighs lovingly, admiring the lake. âI dibs using it first.â
You shrug, âWhatever.â
After three days covered in filth, what harm could waiting an hour or so longer do?
Besides, you wanted to take your sweet, sweet time.
Leaving Max at the lake, you and Steve trek up over a small hill beside it. Thereâs a few trees here, but theyâre slim and spaced out, unlike in the rainforest.
Steve selects a spot at the bottom of the hill to set up camp, giving anyone using the lake some privacy.
Max wanders down a little while later, after everything has been set up and a small fire is burning steadily.
You tell Steve he can go next and heâs quick to rise.
It feels like you wait an eternity, but you know itâs just your eagerness to be clean that drags the time out.
The moment you spot Steve coming over the hill youâre on your feet, heading for the lake.
At the lakeside you remove your clothes, leaving your bra and underwear on. You soak your clothes first, scrubbing them clean before laying them out over the rocks around the lake to soak up the afternoon sun.
Finally, you delve into the lakeâs cool waters.
You donât rush, taking the time to rub every part of yourself spotless. Afterwards you lie on your back and float around the lake.
When your face starts to feel too hot from the sun, you submerge yourself underneath the water and hold your breath for as long as you can before coming back up.
Breaking the surface of the water, you keep your eyes shut while you run a hand over your face, removing the excess water.
When you open them again, you flinch.
âDo you mind?â You all but shriek at Steve whoâs sitting on a large boulder at the lakeside, watching you.
He smirks, âNot at all.â
Glaring at him, you hiss âThatâs not what I meant.â
âI know.â
One of these days Iâm going to kill him.
Swimming up to the edge of the lake, you keep everything below your neck underwater.
âWell, pass me my towel.â You snap.
Steve raises an eyebrow and itâs only then that you realise heâs not wearing his sunglasses.
Blue.
His eyes are blue.
Youâre too far away to see any great detail though.
Steve raises his other eyebrow, bringing you back to reality and making your teeth grind.
âPlease.â
Leisurely, Steve reaches for your towel behind him on the boulder and holds it out to you, as far as his arm will extend.
âAre you serious?â You ask, exasperated.
He shrugs, âIâm afraid itâs the best I can do kitten.â
Groaning, you bite out âFine, close your eyes.â
A moment passes before he eventually does as you demanded, his eyes shutting.
âNo peeking.â You enforce, squinting at him.
When youâre certain he canât see anything, you rise out of the water and quickly approach him.
The second your hand grips the towel Steve tugs on it, sending you toppling onto him.
You fall face first into his solid chest while your hands scramble for purchase to push yourself back.
âWhat are you -â
The words die in your throat when you feel his warm, rough hands grasp your waist and spin you around, bringing you down to sit on his lap.
âLet me help you.â Steve husks into your ear, his beard pleasantly scratching at your skin.Â
His right hand presses against your bare stomach, holding you in place while his other hand picks up your towel again, swiping it over your left arm.
You open your mouth to object, but then his right hand is gliding up your wet skin to lightly wrap around your neck, tilting your head backwards so he can move the towel over your chest.
Any fight you might have had leaves your body in a giant whoosh, his touch turning you to jelly.
âThere you go,â Steve cooâs. âItâs not healthy to always be so tense kitten.â
Fuck you.
Thatâs what you want to tell him, but instead you whimper as he suddenly drags the towel down and over your underwear.
âItâs been a while, hasnât it?â
Since you pleasured yourself? Yes. Since you had a man touch you? Even more of a yes.
But he hadnât made you feel anything close to this.
âThatâs okay.â Steve whispers, as if you had answered. âIâll take care of you, itâs what Iâm getting paid for.â
Abandoning the towel, his fingers dip behind the band of your underwear and youâre almost panting in excitement.
Heâs so⊠big around you, caging you in and overriding your senses.
âPoor kitten,â Steve teases, dragging two of his fingers along your slick folds. âJust dripping for me, huh?â
You want to punch him so badly you -
âOh.â You canât help but moan as his thumb presses on your clit, lightly circling it.
Instinctively, your thighs squeeze together and both of your hands wrap around his wrist to stop the action.
Youâre embarrassed by how sensitive you are.
It has been a while.
Steve hushes you, âI know, I know.â Using his left hand to pry your thighs apart, he begins circling your clit again. âJust relax, I got you.â
His words seem to have a pull over you, as your body instantly relaxes in his hold.
With your body pliant, Steveâs fingers dip down further and slowly push into you - first one, then two.
Your hips eagerly lift to meet his hand.
âGood girl, fuck yourself on my fingers.â The vulgar sentence sets your face on fire while also making you clench around his digits with a gasp.
How the hell does he know just what to say?Â
Itâs like heâs read one of your books.
Steveâs fingers start to push into you faster and a bit rougher as his thumb continues circling your clit.
Your stomach tenses, the coil within you already about to snap and god you want it, you want it so bad, so, so bad -
âPlease.â You mumble, not recognising your own voice. Itâs so airy and desperate. âPlease let me come.â
Steve releases a guttural groan beside your ear, the sound rumbling against your back while his arousal pokes at your ass.
His thumb quickens on your clit as his fingers keep pumping into you, nudging just a bit more before -
You moan loudly when he hits the sweet spot inside you.
Steveâs warm breath tickles your cheek. âCome for me baby, make a mess on my fingers.â
Crying out, you whine Steveâs name as your orgasm collides with you.
Itâs like the blood in your veins is replaced with fire, your body intoxicatingly hot as you jerk in Steveâs hold, riding out your high on his still moving fingers.
Steveâs murmuring in your ear, but itâs all white noise as you come back to yourself.
âFuck.â You whisper when you feel a little less lightheaded.
Removing his hand from beneath your underwear, Steve raises his fingers to his mouth and sucks them clean. You watch him, mouth slightly ajar.
âHow was that kitten? Was it good?â Steve asks once heâs finished, his blue eyes shining down at you.
Theyâre a light blue - baby blue. At first you think theyâre pure blue, but then you see just a flicker of green within them. Somehow it makes them even prettier.
Itâs a shame heâs always hiding them away.
âVery.â You breathe out honestly, your mind still muddled.
Steve grins and lowers to brush his mouth over your cheek, the feeling of his beard making you shiver. âThe chef appreciates your compliment.â He teases.
Drawing the connection back to that night days before brings you out of your orgasm-induced stupor and kicks your brain into gear.
What the hell did I just do?
Pulling yourself from Steve, you stand - your thighs still shaking a little, and snatch your towel off the ground. Wrapping it around yourself, you collect your clothes from the nearby rocks.
When you turn back you find Steve still sitting in the exact same spot, contently watching you with a lazy smirk, like nothingâs out of the ordinary - like there isnât a large tent in his pants.
Your core throbs at the sight and you quickly look away.
Marching past him, you donât respond when Steve calls out âIâll be up soon kitten, I just gotta wash some of my clothes.â
The smile in his tone is obvious.
Heading for camp, you try to process what just happened.
Did I really just let Steve finger me?
âOh god, Max.â You groan, dreading his reaction.
Just act natural, he wonât know if -
âHello there, you took your - wait.â His eyes narrow.
To avoid looking at him you begin drying yourself and re-dressing.
âWhat?â You ask, trying to sound casual.
Max strides over to you and grabs your chin, forcing you to face him.
âNo. Way.â
How the hell -
âDid you fuck Steve?â Max whisper-shouts, his brown eyes wide with excitement.
âNo!â You respond in the same tone.
âThen what -â
Gesturing for him to be quiet, you check your surroundings before answering âLook, he just⊠gave me a helping hand, alright?â
It was less painful to just tell him, otherwise heâd never drop the subject.
âDid he ask for a helping hand back?â
So damn nosy.
âNo.â You sigh, exasperated.
Max grins, âI knew heâd be good to you.â
Squinting at him, you retort âWhat does that mean?â
âNothing.â Waving you off, he sits back down by the fire. âWas he good at it?â
Looking over your shoulder again to make sure Steve hadnât snuck up, you quickly answer âHe was great at it, now can we please forget this ever happened?â
Max lets out a chuckle while you finish zipping up your pants. âGood luck with that darling, you canât exactly avoid him out here.â
Fuck.
What were you thinking?
You were supposed to be searching for lost treasure - the find of the century, not getting some from your guide who you literally cannot escape from until this is all over.
A guide who is going to be unbearable after this, as if he isnât already.
Dropping your head into your hands, you let out a pained whine.

đŐ Üž.ËŹ.ÜžŐ𩯠Nanami Kento ă âžâž.áâ thinking about you in his slumber .⊠ĘË
You woke up first. Soft morning light slipped through the thin curtains of your dorm room, washing everything in pale gold, including Satoruâs face.
He was still asleep beside you, lying on his side, facing you. His white hair was a messy halo against the pillow, strands falling across his forehead. His eyelashes rested against his cheeks, impossibly long, his lips parted just enough for slow, even breaths to escape.
One of his arms was wrapped loosely around your waist. Enough that you knew, even asleep, he had unconsciously reached for you.
Carefully, you lifted a hand and brushed a strand of hair away from his forehead. Your fingertips lingered. You traced the curve of his cheekbone, the line of his jaw, the soft skin under his eye. He didn't stir. Instead, he leaned almost imperceptibly into your touch, as though some part of him recognized it even in his sleep. It made your heart squeeze.
You couldnât stop looking at him. He looked so peaceful. So beautiful.
âYouâre staring again.â Shokoâs teasing voice echoed in your head. âIâve never seen you like this before.â
No one had ever stayed the night before. And it wasnât because they didnât ask. It was because youâd never wanted them to, never asked them to. You liked people leaving. You liked knowing nothing had changed once the night was over.Â
Now, lying here with Satoru sleeping peacefully in your bed, you realized something.
This wasnât just about getting it out of your system.
Being like this with him⊠it felt natural. Right.
A selfish part of you wished the morning could stay like this a little longer. You wanted to keep watching him. Wanted to memorize this version of himâthe one no one else got to see.
Before your thoughts could spiral any further, Satoru shifted.
His brow twitched and his long lashes fluttered. Slowly, impossibly slowly, those beautiful bright blue eyes opened.
For a second he simply blinked at you, still caught somewhere between dreaming and waking. Then he realized you were already awake.
ââŠMorningâ he whispered, voice rough with sleep.
âMorning, Satoruâ you said, still gently stroking his cheek.
Without saying anything, he turned his head just enough to nuzzle into your palm, almost like a cat asking for more affection. The gesture was so instinctive it made you laugh softly.
Satoru watched you for another few seconds before speaking again, quieter this time.
âI was scared you'd regret letting me stay.â
The words were almost whispered. Like he'd been carrying them since he'd opened his eyes.
âI donât.â
His shoulders visibly relaxed, and a soft smile slowly spread across his face.
â
By the time you finished brushing your teeth, the apartment smelled faintly of butter and freshly brewed coffee.
That definitely hadnât been there when you'd gone into the bathroom. Curious, you stepped into the hallway.
The sight that greeted you made you stop in your tracks.
Satoru stood in your tiny kitchen with his back to you. One hand held a spatula while the other balanced a frying pan with surprising confidence. His white hair was still adorably messy from sleep, refusing to stay flat no matter how many times heâd probably tried to fix it.
He hummed quietly to himself.
Completely unaware you were watching.
He looked⊠domestic. And unfairly adorable.
You watched him for a moment before walking over. He turned when he heard your footsteps, and his entire face brightened.
âOh.â His smile softened immediately. âMorning again. I hope you like pancakes.â He rubbed the back of his neck. âI wasnât really sure what you usually eat for breakfast, so... I made scrambled eggs too. Just in case.â
You sat down at the small table as he brought over two plates and fresh coffee. He sat across from you, fidgeting with his glasses nervously.
For a few minutes you ate in comfortable silence, stealing glances at each other. But Satoru kept opening and closing his mouth, clearly working up the courage to say something.
Finally, after pushing his food around his plate for the third time, he spoke.
âI⊠I wanted to ask you something.â
âMmh?â You looked up at him
He adjusted his glasses, then immediately took them off again, then just put them on again.
âI, uhâŠâ
His fingers tapped nervously against the edge of the table.
âWeâve... spent a lot of time together lately.â
You raised your eyebrows slightly.
â...That's true.â
âAnd yesterday wasâŠâ He laughed awkwardly. âWell. Yesterday.â
His ears were noticeably pink now, and you had to resist the urge to kiss him senseless because he looked so cute.Â
âUh... I justââ He stopped, pressing his lips together. He let out a quiet breath and tried again.
âI was wondering if maybeâŠâ He swallowed. â...if youâd like to go out withâŠmeâ
The words had barely left his mouth before he rushed to keep talking.
âI meanâyou donât have to, obviously. If you donât want to, thatâs completely okay." He shook his head quickly.Â
You opened your mouth, but he was already spiraling.
âI just... I really like spending time with you, and I thought maybe we could... keep doing that. Outside ofâŠâ He made a vague gesture with his hand. â...everything else.â
He grimaced.
âGod, that sounded weird.â
You bit the inside of your cheek to stop yourself from laughing.
âI mean, itâs okay if you say no.â He ran a hand through his already messy hair. âI can just... leave, and you wonât have to see me agâ Oh.â He froze. âThe project.â
He shut his eyes.
âRight. Weâd definitely see each other again.â
You had to press your lips together to suppress the laughter.
âSo... forget that part.â
He rubbed the back of his neck, looking thoroughly embarrassed.
âNothing has to change. We can just... pretend I never said anything. Well, maybe not pretend, because I did say it, butââ
âSatoru.â you said, utterly amused.
âSorryâ he mumbled, dropping his gaze to his plate.
âAre you asking me to be exclusive?â
âI meanâŠâ He rubbed the back of his neck, ears turning pink all over again. âIâI would. I mean, I want to.â He frowned at himself. âNot that you have to. Iâm not saying you have to, I wouldât expect you to just because Iââ
âYes.â
Satoru blinked, eyes wide behind his glasses.
âW-what?â
âYes. I want to go out with you.â A teasing smile tugged at your lips. âJust you.â
He stared at you as though he'd forgotten how to process words. You stood, walked around the table, and stopped beside him.
âWe don't know each other that well yet.â
â...No.â
âBut thatâs kind of the point of dating, isnât it?â
He looked up at you.
â...Yeah.â
âWe donât have to figure everything out today.â You smiled. âWe can just... get to know each other while we go out together.â
For a moment, he simply stared.
â...Really?â
You nodded.
âReally.â
A breath escaped himâhalf laugh, half sheer relief.
âOkay,â he whispered, smiling so widely it almost looked disbelieving. âOkay.â
He just stared at you, the goofiest smile you'd ever seen plastered on his face
You rolled your eyes fondly.
âCome here.â You leaned down and cupped his jaw, kissing him softly.
When you pulled away, his cheeks had somehow turned an even deeper shade of pink.
â...Hi,â he mumbled, sounding completely dazed.
You couldn't help laughing.
âHi.â
He looked at you for another second before a thought suddenly crossed his mind.
â...So Iâm taking you on a date?â
You hummed.
âLooks like it.â
âI like that.â He smiled to himself.Â
âI hope you like APA formatting too, because I kept telling myself Iâd do it later... and then later never happened.â You reached over and gently squished his cheeks between your hands. âItâs a good thing Iâve got a pretty boy who excels at it.â
His cheeks warmed all over again.
â...I can definitely help with APA.â
âI figured you would.â
â
Monday arrived much faster than either of you had expected, and before you knew it, the ten-minute presentation was already over.
âAnd these are our references,â Satoru said, the presentation clicker still in his hand. âThank you.â
The classroom filled with polite applause as your professor looked between the two of you.
âI have to admit,â she began, âI was expecting a solid presentation.â
Satoru shifted ever so slightly beside you.
âBut this exceeded my expectations.â
You couldnât help but straighten a little.
âThe way you explained the mechanisms behind vancomycin resistance was clear, well-organized, and easy to follow.â She tapped her pen lightly against the desk. âExcellent work.â
You exchanged a quick glance with Satoru.
âThank youâ the two of you replied almost in unison.
A few minutes later, as you walked out of the lecture hall, Satoru finally let out the breath he'd apparently been holding throughout the entire presentation.
â...We actually did it.â
âOf course we did.â You grinned, nudging his shoulder with yours. âYouâre ridiculously smart. You somehow made a really difficult project look easy.â
His cheeks turned pink.
âI justâŠâ He ducked his head with a shy smile. âI really wanted us to do well. And you were perfect too.â
Your heart softened.
You walked side by side down the hallway, the professor's praise still lingering pleasantly in your mind.
After a few moments, you glanced at him, a mischievous smile tugging at your lips.
âSoâŠâ
He looked over at you.
â...Should we celebrate?â
He tilted his head, clearly intrigued.
âCelebrate?â
âMhm.â You slowed your pace just enough to make him stop with you. âIâve already got an ideaâ
â
Two hours later, Satoru sat on the edge of your bed, completely naked, legs spread wide. The phone was propped on a tripod in front of him, carefully angled so neither of your faces would appear â only his body, your hands, and the intimate angle between you.
You knelt behind him, bare breasts pressed against his back, arms wrapped around his torso. The camera was already recording.
You pressed a slow kiss to the side of his neck, feeling him shiver.
âLook at my pretty, brilliant boyâŠâ you murmured against his skin, one hand sliding down his chest. âSo smart⊠getting the highest grade in the class with me.â
Satoru let out a soft, shaky whimper and tilted his head, offering you more of his neck.
You wrapped your hand around his cock â already painfully hard â and stroked him with slow, deliberate movements.
âYou worked so hard on that project,â you continued, voice low and sweet. âAlways so focused⊠always so good for me. You deserve this, donât you?â
He moaned, hips twitching forward into your fist. âY-yes⊠I tried so hard⊠for youâŠâ
You smiled against his neck and sucked lightly on his skin while your hand kept its steady rhythm. âMmh, yeah⊠such a good boy,â you whispered, thumb brushing over the leaking tip.
Satoru whimpered louder, head falling back against your shoulder. His body trembled with every stroke.
âFuckâŠâ he breathed, voice already breaking.
You tightened your grip and picked up the pace, your free hand roaming over his body â tracing his abs, dragging your nails lightly down his thigh. Then you sucked hard on his neck, leaving a clear mark just below his shoulder.
âMine,â you whispered against the fresh bruise. âAll fucking mine.â
He moaned, raw and needy. You slid your hand up to his throat, wrapping your fingers around it gently but firmly â not choking, just holding him in place.
His breath hitched.
âFuckâ yesââ he whimpered, hips bucking harder into your hand. âPlease⊠harderâŠâ
You squeezed a little tighter and stroked him faster, twisting your wrist at the head. âYouâre so loud today, baby,â you purred against his ear. âLetting everyone hear how much you love being mine⊠how desperate you get when I touch you.â
He was panting now, thrusting desperately into your fist. âI love itâ fuckâ I love being yoursâŠâ
You rewarded him with another mark on his neck and dragged your nails down his abs, leaving faint red lines. Satoru cried out, body shaking.
âIâm gonnaâ fuckâ Iâm so closeââ
âNot yet,â you whispered, slowing your hand just enough to edge him. âTell me how much you need me.â
âI need you so bad⊠I want to be inside you⊠I want you to use me⊠please let me cum for youââ
You smiled and sped up again, your other hand still firm around his throat. âTell me more, baby. What do you want?â
Satoruâs voice cracked with desperation. âI want you to be mine⊠forever. I want to wake up next to you⊠I want everyone to know youâre mineâŠâ
You let out a soft, amused hum. âMmm, youâre so greedy.â
âI-Iâm sorryââ he whimpered instantly, shame and lust mixing in his tone.
âNo, thatâs okay,â you murmured, lips brushing his ear. âI like it when youâre greedy⊠because Iâm yours too, baby.â
You kept stroking him, slick and relentless. âMy pussy is yours. My tits are yours. My throat is yours to fuck whenever you wantâŠâ
âFuckââ he gasped, head falling back against your shoulder again. âI want that so bad⊠I want to choke on your fingers while you ride meâŠâ
You stroked him faster for a few moments, then slowed down again, torturing him.
âYou like it when Iâm mean to you, donât you?â you asked sweetly.
âY-yes⊠I love it⊠I want you to use me until I canât think⊠I like it âAhhâ Fuckâ too muchâ
You felt him throbbing harder, his hips jerking desperately.
âIâm gonnaâ fuckâ Iâm so closeââ
You immediately slowed your hand, almost stopping.
âNot yet,â you whispered, kissing his neck. âHold it for me, baby. I want you to feel really good when you finally cum.â
Satoru let out a broken, frustrated whimper, hips twitching helplessly.
âPlease⊠I need it⊠Iâm so fucking closeâŠâ
You stroked him a little faster again, then slowed down once more, edging him beautifully. His cock was leaking profusely, throbbing angrily in your hand.
After the third time you denied him, he was shaking.
You leaned in close.
âOpen your mouth.â
Satoru obeyed instantly. You brought your hand to his lips.
âSpit.â
He spat into your palm without hesitation.
You used his spit as lubricant, wrapping your hand around his cock again and stroking him faster, slick and wet.
âFuckâ yesââ he moaned, hips jerking.
Finally, you pressed your lips against his ear and whispered:
âYou can cum now, baby. Make a mess for your girl.â
With a loud, broken cry, Satoru came hard.
Thick ropes of cum shot across his stomach and chest as his hips jerked wildly into your hand. He moaned your name over and over, voice wrecked and desperate, body shaking with the intensity of it.
You kept stroking him gently through the aftershocks, pressing soft kisses along his neck until he was trembling and oversensitive.
Then you cupped his face and turned it toward the camera. Not enough for his face to come into frameâjust enough that it looked like he was addressing the audience.
âTell them, baby,â you ordered softly. âYou're mine. Only mine.â
âI-Iâm hersâŠâ he panted, his voice hoarse, barely able to catch his breath.
A satisfied smile tugged at your lips.
âGood boy.â
You pressed one last kiss to the corner of his jaw before reaching past him to stop the recording.
â
Six months later
The apartment was wrapped in a peaceful kind of quiet that only existed on rare mornings like this. No classes, no alarms, no rush to be anywhere. Just the soft glow of sunlight slipping through the half-closed curtains and the steady sound of breathing.
Satoru woke up first â or at least he tried to.
The moment he opened his eyes, he realized he was completely trapped. Not in a bad way. In the best possible way.
Your arms were wrapped tightly around his torso, your face buried against his chest, and one of your legs had somehow found its way between his. Your entire body was pressed against him like youâd decided he was your personal pillow for the rest of your life.
He smiled, soft and helpless.
âBabyâŠâ he whispered, voice still rough with sleep.
A sleepy hum was the only answer he got. You nuzzled closer, refusing to loosen your hold.
âI canât feel my arm anymore,â he murmured, amused.
You tightened your grip even more, a lazy smile forming against his skin.
âSounds like a you problem.â
Satoru let out a quiet laugh, the sound vibrating through his chest. He tilted his head down to look at you properly. You were still wearing his oversized white hoodie â the one with the vancomycin molecule printed across the back. It had ridden up just enough to expose the soft skin of your thighs, and the sleeves completely swallowed your hands.
For a long moment, he just watched you, his heart feeling too big for his chest.
Eventually, you stirred, blinking up at him with sleepy eyes.
âWant me to move?â you asked, your voice muffled.
âJust a little bit,â he said, though he didnât sound very convincing.
âOkayâŠâ
Instead of rolling off, you shifted upward and climbed on top of him, straddling his waist in one smooth motion.
Satoruâs eyes widened slightly in surprise.
âWaitââ
Too late.
You cupped his face with both hands, gently squishing his cheeks together until his lips puckered. He stared up at you, completely helpless and entirely in love.
âLook at youâŠâ you whispered, eyes sparkling with affection.
âWhat?â he managed to say, voice slightly distorted by your hands.
âYouâre so cute.â
His cheeks flushed instantly, a soft pink spreading across his face. No matter how many times you said it, it still got to him.
You grinned and started peppering his face with slow, lazy kisses â his forehead, his eyelids, the tip of his nose, his cheeks, the corner of his mouth. Satoru laughed softly, not even pretending to resist your attack of affection.
âBabyââ he tried between kisses.
Another kiss landed on his jaw.
âUgh, my boyfriend is so cute,â you mumbled happily.
There it was. That word again.
Boyfriend.
Satoruâs ears turned pink. He looked away, suddenly shy, even though he was smiling.
âYou really like saying thatâ he muttered.
âI do,â you answered without hesitation, still holding his face. âAnd you like hearing it.â
He didnât deny it. You leaned down and kissed him properly this time â slow, warm, and lingering. When you pulled back, your forehead rested gently against his.
âI love you,â you whispered.
His expression melted completely. Those two words never failed to hit him right in the chest.
âI love you too,â he breathed, hands sliding up to rest on your waist, thumbs brushing softly over the hoodie.
For a while, neither of you spoke. You simply stayed there, breathing each other in, enjoying the quiet warmth of the morning. Then you tilted your head, a playful glint appearing in your eyes.
âYou know what would make you look even cuter?â you whispered.
Satoru raised an eyebrow slightly.
âWhat?â
âThe cat ears.â
Before he could answer, you rolled your hips slowly against him, grinding down in a lazy, teasing motion. You felt him twitch beneath you, growing hard almost instantly.
A smug little smile curved your lips.
âAh⊠you liked that, didnât you?â
Satoruâs face flushed bright red. He let out a shy, embarrassed sound and immediately hid his face in the crook of your neck, burying it there as if he could disappear.
You chuckled softly, threading your fingers through his messy white hair.
And as you held him close, tangled together in your sheets, you realized once again that this â this quiet, warm, and shy kind of love â was everything you had never known you needed.
ahhh!! we made it to the endđ I really hope you enjoyed this storyđ„ș I'm gonna miss this nerdjo so muchđ

Your sweet, beautiful girlfriend, Yuki, who spends the entire day teasing you. She started the morning off today by doing her routine like always, but instead of getting ready in the bathroom like she normally does, she decided it was best to give you a little show. Standing in front of the edge of the bed, Yuki drops her towel, her pink nipples hard and deserving of kisses. Your eyes trail down to her bush, wishing you could kiss her clit till it goes swollen.
Yuki bites her bottom lip while staring at you, then she leans down to pick up her binki top. You sit there, on your side of the bed, as your mouth salivates at the sight while Yuki ties her top. Her boobs are pushed up now, while some of her hair lies on her cleavage.
She looks at you again and smiles, a soft shade of pink dusting her cheeks as she giggles. âYou gonna sit there all day or get ready, pretty girl?â
You clear your throat and cough a little before speaking up. âYeah,â you sigh, âItâs just us going right?â Yuki nods and turns around, bending in front of you as she picks up her binki bottom and shorts. âYeah, just us.â She replies and looks back at you, seeing the drool accidentally spill out. Just the way she loves it.
Itâs so mean, and she knows it. You tried to think nothing of it when you started getting ready.
Yuki, on the other hand, giggles to herself, knowing youâre going to struggle the entire day. First it was her hand on your hips as you brushed your teeth, and each time you leaned down to spit, Yuki would smack your ass and grip it. Then her left hand would drag down your spine as her lips would follow.
When driving to the beach, she would rest her hand on your thigh, leaving it there for a while to trick you into thinking it was nothing.
Yuki slowly dragged her hand up to your stomach and up to your right breast; her fingers would grip your boob and begin massaging it.
You whimpered and looked to the window, hating the way Yuki had that stupid smirk plastered on her face. âThereâs my good girl.â She rasps. You let her touch you, feeling the way her fingers move back down on your shirt and to your shorts. Unbuttoning it easily, she leaves her hand resting on your crotch, not even bothering to push your bikini bottom against your shorts to actually feel your clit.
Making it to the beach, you couldâve sworn Yuki would be done with whatever she was doing. She teased you enough in the car to the point she pulled moans from you, all because she rubbed your nipples and called you her baby.
As the two of you set up at the area you found, you watch the way Yuki flexes her biceps for you, grabbing the attention of other women. She doesnât pay them any attention because yours is the only important one, and it keeps going. âCome on baby, let me give you a massage, youâve been doing so much recently.â She begs; you can see the twinkle in her eyes, but you listen, because she is right, youâve been doing a lot nowadays.
Yuki sits on the towel, legs stretched out and open for you to sit in between. âYouâre not sneaky.â You comment, Yuki smiles, and bites her bottom lip as she watches you take your top off and shorts off, putting them on the side before sitting down and pressing your back against her chest.
âIâm not even doing anything?â She mutters, and you hum. Yuki then picks up the bottle of sunscreen and pours some in her hand. You shut your eyes and lick your lips as the sounds of waves crashing and people interacting make you calm.
Yuki starts with rubbing your right arm, the warmth of the sunscreen and her hands mix. You sigh, then hum, âOh baby, that feels so good.â You whisper, she smirks and bites her bottom lip as her pussy pulsates to your words. âSuch a good girl, letting me make you feel better.â Yuki praises, you squirm as she leans down and feels her lips pucker against your cheek. Her thumb pushes into your skin as she pecks your skin, lips all down to your neck before switching to the left side like her hands.
âFeels good?â Yuki mumbles between kisses, you nod and whine, âYeah, fuck, your hands feel good, baby.â She giggles and looks forward while whispering, âCareful, weâre in public.â
Yukiâs hands then travel up both sides of your shoulders and slide to your breasts, under your bikini top. Your eyes widen as you look around to make sure no one is watching. âYuki!â You whisper-yell, earning another laugh from her. âRelax, I got you.â Then she swipes her thumb over your nipples, your back arches a little, and Yuki leans closer to you, making sure your skin sticks to hers.
âYuki, whatâ hmm.â Cutting you off by leaning down and lapping her tongue against your shoulder blade before sucking on it slowly, you push your body into hers and sigh. âI hate you.â You mumble. Yuki chuckles and pulls her lips away. âLikewise.â
She doesnât give you a chance to breathe, moving her hands down to your stomach and down to the middle of your crotch. You try to shut your legs, but Yukiâs left and right legs hook over your thighs, forcing you to keep them open as she rubs your folds over the cloth. You moan softly and rock your hips up to feel her better. âThere she is.â Yuki coos, her lips brushing against your left ear as her index and middle finger tease over your folds and push your bikini in your pulsing hole a little.
âWhat do you need, pretty girl? Tell me what you need.â She lets out a moan with you, her eyes looking everywhere to keep you safe.
You press the back of your head against her shoulder and sigh. Opening your eyes, you stare up at the clouds. âThink we should go back to the car.â Yuki laughs at your request and nods. âAnd when we get back, what do you want? I canât read your mind, baby.â She reminds you, and you tilt your head to look at her a little. âFor you to stop teasing me and fuck me in the backseat.â You whisper and catch her earlobe between your teeth before letting go.
Yuki looks at you once you push her off and stand up. You lean forward in front of her, your ass in her face as you pick up your clothes. You stand straight and look down at her as you brush the sand off your clothes.
âCome on, we donât have all day.â You state and pick your things up.
Yuki stares at you, stunned for a moment, and immediately stands up and helps you pack the stuff up. Trailing behind you like a lost puppy after having you be a puddle in her hands.

Telling your husband youâre pregnant (but he already knew)
The results were undeniable. Around fifteen minutes ago, you had taken a pregnancy test.
Youâd only taken it because your period was later than usual, and you wanted to know why. Never did you expect two bright pink lines to be staring back at you.
The past ten minutes, youâd been pacing around the bathroom, running your hands anxiously through your hair.
You and Gojo had been married for nearly two years now. Life was great. The two of you were deeply in love and felt unbreakable.
What would he think? Would Gojo want to become a father?
This was absolutely terrifying.
Currently, your husband wasnât home. He was still at work, but heâd likely be home at any second now. You held your head in your hands, muttering curses under your breath.
A baby would change everything. Having Gojoâs child would put a big red target on your back.
Was being a mother even something you wanted?
You gasped at the sound of the front door opening from downstairs.
âSweetie? Iâm home!â Gojo called out after not seeing you in the living room to greet him like usual.
With trembling hands, you scooped the pregnancy test off of the counter and looked at your face in the mirror.
A hand reached up to fix your hair and make you look put together. You even practiced a smile.
After a couple minutes of hyping yourself up, you finally left the bathroom. You had tucked the pregnancy test in your back pocket so Gojo wouldnât see it right away.
The steps creaked under your weight as you slowly descended down the staircase, returning to the main floor of the house.
Gojo smiled the second he saw you. He was already plopped down on the couch in your living room. You saw that he was also still dressed in his uniform, rocking his signature blindfold along with it.
âI stopped by the new bakery that opened in Tokyo and bought a bunch of sweets for us to try,â Gojo told you. That man had an insane sweet tooth.
âAt this hour?â You replied, taking another couple of steps forward.
Gojo shrugged in confusion as if the time didnât even matter. In his world, it was never too late for sweets.
You bit your bottom lip, shifting your weight on your feet. All of it was you attempting to build up the courage to spoil the news to him. It was horrifying to you for whatever reason.
Before you could get any words out, Gojo saw the obviously troubled expression on your face. He was always good at reading people. It actually got annoying sometimes.
You noticed the shift in his playful demeanor when he realized you had something on your mind.
âIs everything okay?â He asked.
You opened your mouth to speak, yet again, nothing managed to come out.
Gojo was patient, waiting for you to say what you needed to say.
You realized that you were starting to tear up without meaning to. This whole thing was a fucking nightmare. The two of you hadnât even spoken about having children!
You snatched the test from your back pocket abruptly. Wimping out wasnât an option right now. It was either now or never.
âIâm pregnant,â you announced quickly in an attempt to just rip off the bandaid.
Unsteady hands held the test in front of your husband, nervously awaiting his reaction. It was irritating how he didnât react right away.
Gojo gently took the test in his hands, smiling. There was no big reaction. Not like you were expecting. Then, he looked back up at you.
âI know.â
Confusion took over your mind at his words. He knew? How? Youâd literally just found out two minutes ago.
âWhat do you mean you know?â You spoke harsher than you might have intended. You hadnât anticipated for it to go this way.
âI mean I knew. I knew the second it happened.â
There was nothing but silence from you again as you tried to figure this all out. âBut-â
Gojo cut you off, standing up slowly. He wasnât alarmed whatsoever. A part of you was thankful for that.
âI sensed a change in your cursed energy a few weeks ago. I didnât say anything because I figured youâd wanna find out on your own,â he informed, moving closer to you. Gojo reached out to take your hand.
You didnât pull away. You just kinda stood there. Of course. His six eyes technique never let anything slide. You felt dumb for not figuring it out sooner.
âSo what? You knew I was pregnant and you didnât think to tell me? Is that why I couldnât find the wine last night?â You scoffed. He mustâve hidden the alcohol to prevent you from drinking it. It felt wrong to just let you drink when he knew better. Even if you didnât.
Your husband had a dumb smile plastered on his face. âWell..â he scratched the back of his head.
You rolled your eyes, annoyed that heâd keep something like this from you.
On the other hand, however, you were thankful Gojo let you find out on your own terms. He knew normalcy was important to you. Even in a world where nothing was fully normal for either of you.
Gojo saw your annoyance and began ranting instantly.
âYou donât know how hard it was not to tell you! I wanted to tell you so bad! Really! But I.. kinda, sorta told Shoko and she said you might wanna find out on your own! So.. I just wanted to do the right thing!â He rambled on and on.
It was kind of cute. Gojo was excited like a little kid. Staying annoyed was impossible.
You chuckled, shaking your head.
âSo youâre happy?â You asked, feeling your anxiety melt away.
Gojo smiled, nodding before lifting you into his arms for a big hug. He spun you around while holding you close.
âCareful!â You laughed.
Your husband put you back down gently before planting a kiss on the top of your head.
âYouâre gonna be the crankiest pregnant woman ever. Iâm already imagining it,â he teased. âI canât wait.â
knight!jonathan joestar takes care of you every night, making love to you tenderly with his tongue and fingers, but what will he do when you realize that your beloved knight is not a man at all? ê° à Ë. á”á”
He always knocks three times on your door past midnight, when heâs sure that the palace is dead quiet and no one can hear or see him entering your room. Youâre usually waiting for him in just a see through robe, hair up with soft curls framing your face and your make up still on. You crave for his compliments, for the look on his face when you part your legs and see him get rid of his helmet with his mouth already watering.Â
Your knight has a pretty face, angular features but soft cheeks except for the scar that crosses the left side of it, his eyes are round and big and his blue short curls always tickle your inner thighs.Â
âI missed you today,â you tell him while he silently exits his armor. He always stays in a big white shirt and pants that hide his strong muscles.Â
âYou spent all morning seeing me train, princess.â He climbs into the bed, his hands coming up to hug your waist.Â
You roll your eyes with a scoff. It is true that you usually spend your mornings in the grandstand, looking at all the knights training their physique for hours while you pretend to read a book. Although your eyes are always fixed on him, no one else.Â
âDonât call me that, you know I hate it.â You cross your arms, looking away from him with a pout.Â
That makes him smile, his rough calloused hands touching your cheeks, gently turning your face towards him. âWhat do you want me to call you then.â
Heat floods your cheeks, heâs always so gentle, so caring with you that makes your knees weak. Youâre thankful to whoever took the decision of assigning him as the guardian of your door every night, youâve never felt so safe, being around him has you giggling and even feeling shy like a teenage girl.Â
âI like when you call me dearâŠâ you tell him, your eyelashes fluttering. âOr my love.â
That makes him smile as he nods, tenderly kissing your cheek before sitting beside you. âIâll call you that from now on, dear.â
He deliberately stops before saying the petname, making you look away in shyness. âDonât say it like that!â
Jonathan chuckles softly, his laugh filling the room and your heart. He pulls you closer until your breaths mix. âMy love,â he whispers again, slower this time, a secret for the two of you.
No one else in this whole kingdom sees you like he does. Not as the spoiled princess with the sharp tongue, but as someone precious, someone worth protecting with every beat of his honest heart.
You adore him so much it almost hurts sometimes. He is your Jonathan, heâs always here listening to your complaints about court duties, he remembers how you like your tea and sneaks extra sweets from the kitchen to see you smile. The bond you created runs deeper than these nights, it's in the way he stands guard outside your door all day, never complaining, always ready to lay down his life if trouble comes. Itâs in the quiet talks you share before the touching begins, where he tells you about his dreams of honor and you confess your fears of being trapped in this royal cage. He makes you feel seen. Truly seen. And in return, you trust him completely, letting him into the softest parts of your soul that no one else has ever touched.
His fingers trace down your arms, light as feathers, sending little shivers across your skin.Â
âYou are so beautiful tonight, my love,â he murmurs, his blue eyes locked on yours.Â
The scar on his cheek catches the light, a reminder of battles he has fought for you and your family. Yet here he is, so soft with you, you are the only fragile thing in his strong world.
You try to keep your attitude, puffing out your cheeks a little. âFlattery will not get you everywhere, Sir Joestar.âÂ
But your voice wavers, and a grin tugs at his lips as he leans in, pressing a slow kiss to the corner of your mouth. That is when your resolve melts, you giggle despite yourself, the sound light and girlish, burying your face in his shoulder.Â
âI live to make you smile like that,â he says.
His hands slide to your waist again, pulling you into his lap with easy strength. You feel the solid warmth of his body under the fabric, the way his muscles tense just a little when you settle against him. There is desire there, yes, a sweet tension that hums between you in a shared heartbeat. But itâs more than that. So much more. With Jonathan, every touch feels like a promise. He worships you not just with hunger, but with devotion.
You part your legs slowly, letting the robe slip open and watch his eyes darken with want. His breath catches as he licks his lips without thinking.Â
âMay I?â he asks, always so respectful, even when his fingers are already brushing your thighs. You nod, because you trust him to take care of you. He never pushes, never takes more than you offer. Just his tongue and fingers, night after night, drawing out your pleasure like it is his greatest joy.
He lays you back gently on the pillows, his blue curls brushing your skin as he kisses a trail down your neck and your collarbone. When his mouth finally finds you, you arch with a soft moan. His fingers join soon after, curling just right, patient and knowing. Every stroke feels like love made real. You thread your hands through his hair, tugging lightly and he hums against you in response. The pleasure builds slowly and deep, wrapped in whispers of âmy loveâ and âyou are everything to me.â
In these moments, the world outside fades. Itâs just you and your knight, bound by something pure and unbreakable. He makes you feel special, cherished, worth more than any crown. The attitude slips away completely as you come undone under his care, giggling breathlessly when he looks up at you afterward with adoring eyes, lips shiny and a little smile on his face.
âI love these nights with you,â he says, crawling up to hold you close, his arms strong and safe around your trembling body. âThank you, for letting me taste you and take care of you.â
You cuddle into his chest, pressing a kiss over his heart. âI adore you, Jonathan. More than words can say.â And in the quiet palace, with him by your side, you know this bond will carry you through every tomorrow.
Another night came with the palace wrapped in heavy silence after midnight, Jonathan knocked three likes as usual, but when he slipped inside your room, his steps were heavier than usual. His broad shoulders slumped under the armor he started taking off with slow movements and his eyes were filled with tiredness. Your heart squeezed at the sight, but he still smiled for you though.
You kneeled on the edge of the bed, robe slipping off one shoulder and heart beating faster than normal. After seeing him like this, you had made up your mind. You wanted to give back, to make him feel as cherished as he always made you feel. After all the nights of his gentle touches and devoted kisses between your thighs, you craved to please him too.
âJonathan,â you said softly, stepping close the moment he was down to his white shirt and pants. âYou look so worn out tonight. Let me take care of you for once.â Your voice trembled with nervous excitement as you reached for him, fingers brushing his shoulders. âI really want to.â
His eyes widened, where you think it would be excitement or surprise, was fear. Before you could sink to yout knees like you planned, he caught your wrists gently, guiding your hands away.Â
âMy love, no. You do not have to give me anything,â he whispered firmly. He pulled you into a hug instead, pressing a kiss to your forehead. âI am here to serve you. Your pleasure is mine and that is enough.â
You were not going to let it go so easily, you trusted him with everything and you wanted this closeness to go both ways.Â
âBut I want to,â you insisted, pressing closer, your body brushing against his. Your hand slipped down between his thighs, you blinked your thoughts away when you felt nothing, thinking that he might just be soft, in your defense, youâve never touched a cock in your life. âPlease, Jonathan. Let me make you feel good too.â
He reacted fast, swatting your hand away almost instinctively and stepping back. The sudden movement made your chest tighten. He even put space between you like your touch had burned him.Â
Heat rushed to your face, a sudden anger bubbled up quick and sharp. âWhat is wrong with you?â you snapped, crossing your arms tightly over your chest. âDo you not desire me at all? After everything we have shared, you push me away like that?â Your voice rose a little, the attitude you always carried flaring out. âIf that is how it is, then you can just leave.â
Jonathan stood there for a moment, his pretty face filled with sadness that made your heart ache even through the frustration. Those round eyes looked so pained.Â
âYou do not have to throw a tantrum, dear,â he said quietly, but there was no scolding in it. He reached out like he wanted to touch your cheek one more time, but thought better of it and let his hand fall.
âI am not throwing a tantrum. If you donât want me to touch you, you can leave, as I donât want you to touch me right now.â You didnât look at him as you say that, putting the robe tightly around yourself, covering you the best way you could.
He sighed but without another word, he gathered his armor and slipped out of your room. It felt dumb kicking him out of your room because his duty is to stay by your door the whole night, but you didnât care at that moment.Â
Jonathan sat down next to your doorknob, his heart twisting with guilt and longing. The secret he carried weighed on him more than ever tonight. In all these years, he thought about sharing it with you, showing his true self and identity. But your reaction terrified him. Jonathan Joestar was not the man everyone believed him to be, behind the armor and the short blue curls there was a different person, pretending every single day to fit into this role that let her stay close to you. The love and adoration he has for you goes beyond everything, and tonight, the fear had pushed you away, making him feel terribly guilty.Â
When he felt hopeful, he thought that the bond you shared was strong enough to survive when the truth finally came out, when he stops being a fucking coward and shows you his naked body. But right now, his mind was filled by the fake image of you looking disgusted and creeped by him, and he couldnât get it out of his head.
Later that night, or rather early morning, the glow of dawn was just starting to creep through the tall windows when you could not take the emptiness anymore. Your bed felt too big and too cold without him. You slipped out of the covers, still in your robe, and cracked open the door.
There he was. Jonathan, standing guard like always, even at five in the morning. His armor caught the faint light, but his eyes looked heavy with exhaustion and that same sadness from earlier. He had not left you.
You felt your heart melt and break at the same time. âJonathan⊠come in,â you whispered, reaching for his hand. âPlease. Rest with me. I did not mean it, telling you to leave.â
He hesitated only a second before stepping inside, closing the door quietly behind him. You led him to the bed and made him sit down, your fingers brushing his cheek the way he always did to you.Â
After a long quiet moment, you asked gently, âDo you have some sort of insecurity with your body? Is that why you pushed me away?â
Jonathan looked down at his hands, those calloused fingers that had brought you so much pleasure and comfort. âYou might call it that,â he said softly. âBut it is more complicated than you think, my love.â
You crawled closer and cupped his face, making him meet your eyes. âWhatever it is, Jonathan, I am going to love you just as much as I love you right now. Nothing could change how safe you make me feel. You are the only one who truly sees me and I trust you completely.â
Those words seemed to reach deep inside him, maybe you can accept him, maybe you are so lost in your love that you donât find him disgusting. After thinking for a while, his shoulders rose and fell with a deep breath. He stood up slowly and started taking off his clothes. First the shirt, then the pants, until he stood there in just the bindings underneath. Your eyes widened when you saw the way his chest was wrapped tight with a band, the soft swell of breasts hidden beneath it. Between his thighs, the smooth lines of a womanâs body, still covered by simple undergarments.
Your first thought was concern. It looked so tight, so uncomfortable. âDoes that hurt you?â you asked, you stood up and reached for the band carefully. âLet me help you take it off⊠if you will let me.â
He nodded, eyes a little shy but full of trust. You worked slowly, unwrapping the cloth with tender fingers. When it finally fell away, you could not help but admire how beautiful she looked, strong and soft all at once. Her skin was marked faintly from the binding, you were confident enough to lean in to press the lightest kisses there, soothing every inch.Â
âYou are so lovely,â you whispered between kisses. âSo strong for carrying all of this.â
She let out a shaky breath, her blue curls falling softly around her face as you helped her onto the bed. Both of you shed the last pieces of clothing until you were completely naked together, skin to skin under the warm blankets. You pulled her close, your bodies fitting together in a new but perfect way. Your fingers traced her curves with the same care as always, feeling the rapid beat of her heart against yours.
You looked into her eyes and smiled softly. âIs this your insecurity? That you are a woman?â
She searched your face for any sign of rejection, but all she found was love and acceptance. A relieved smile touched her lips as she nodded.Â
You moved slowly, shifting until you were on top of her, straddling her hips. Your hands rested on her shoulders as you took her in fully, she was covered in scars from battles and training, marks of strength that only made her more beautiful to you. Beneath them, the softness of a womanâs body, full curves and gentle slopes that send a warm rush through your own. Your cheeks flushed as you felt yourself getting excited just from being so close like this.
âYou are stunning,â you whispered, leaning down to kiss a scar on her collarbone. âAll of these scars show me how much you have fought to protect me. And this softness here,â your fingers traced lightly down her side to her waist, âit makes me so hot inside. I love how strong and gentle you are at the same time.â
She let out a quiet breath, her hands resting shyly on your thighs. You kept going, wanting her to feel as adored as she always made you feel.Â
âDoes it feel good when I touch you here?â you asked softly, brushing your palm over the swell of her breast.Â
She nodded, eyes closed. âYes⊠it does. No one has ever touched me like this.â
You smiled and kissed lower, praising every part of her. âYour skin is so warm and smooth. And these hips feel perfect under me.âÂ
Your fingers explored gently, learning her body with care. Youâve never explored a womanâs body before, but hers was the most beautiful youâve ever seen. Every compliment made her relax more, she started to believe that you actually desire and want her just like that.Â
After a while you sat up a little, still on top of her and brushed a blue curl from her face. âShould I keep calling you Jonathan? Or do you have another name you would rather I use when we are alone like this?â
She shook her head, her big eyes full of affection. âJonathan is more than fine, my love. It is who I am with you.â
That answer made your heart flutter. You leaned down and kissed her deeply, pouring all your feelings into it. When you pulled back, breath a little quicker, you asked in a shy but eager voice, âCan I taste you now, Jonathan? I have wanted to for so long.â
She swallowed, cheeks turning pink, but nodded with a small smile. You slid down her body slowly, kissing along the way until you reached her lower stomach. There it was, a soft happy trail of blue hairs leading down to her beautiful pussy. The curls were a pretty shade of blue, matching the hair on her head, framing her in the most lovely way. She looked so pretty and inviting, already a little wet from your touches and words.
You parted her thighs gently and pressed a soft kiss right above her happy trail. âSo beautiful,â you whispered, before leaning in to taste her at last. âTell me if I do it wrong, please.â
Your tongue moved carefully at first, exploring her warmth and sweetness, and the little sounds she made filled the room with even more love and tension. In that moment, nothing else mattered except the two of you, closer than ever, hearts and bodies completely open to each other.
Jonathan gasped softly, her fingers threading through your hair. âY-youâre doing good ah!,â she whispered, voice shaky.Â
That only made you want to be even sweeter with her. You slowed down, taking your time to learn every little spot that made her hips twitch or her breath catch. Your tongue circled her clit softly, then dipped lower, tasting her deeply while your hands stroked her strong thighs. You listened to every sound, figuring out exactly what she liked best. When you found that perfect rhythm, sucking lightly and flicking your tongue just right, her legs started to tremble around you.
You kept going, pouring all your love into each lick and kiss. The trust between you felt so deep in this moment. She had given you everything, her body, her secret, her heart and now you were giving back with all the tenderness she deserved.
It did not take long before her body tensed up beautifully. She came with a quiet, broken moan, her fingers tightening in your hair as waves of pleasure washed over her. Tears slipped down her cheeks right after, not from sadness but from how overwhelming it all felt. You climbed back up quickly, kissing the tears away and pulling her into your arms.
âShh, my love,â you cooed, holding her close while she cried softly against your shoulder. âI have got you.â
âIâm-Iâm sorry,â she whispered between little sobs. âNo one has ever bothered about me like you do.â
You hugged her tighter, your bodies tangled under the sheets. âYou matter more than anything to me, Jonathan.â You kissed her forehead and then her wet cheeks. âYou do not have to apologize for being vulnerable with him.â
In your arms, your strong yet soft knight finally let herself be completely loved, only by you.

đŠait, so your academic rival thinks you're amazing? nerdjo! x clueless reader!
âWait, we hate eachother?"
âI meanââ
âWhen did that happen?â Satoru asked, surprised, turning to look at you blinking as if not believing the words you had just blurted out.
Heat crept up on your cheeks as you bit down on your lower lip, cursing yourself for saying that out loud in the flow of the conversation. But if not hate then what?
Oh god, was it only you competing with him all this time or what? Had it only been you keeping a check of everything? Every position, every class test, every semester exam.
This was even more embarrassing than it should have been. So, what he meant was that he didn't gloat in achieving first place over you? Hadn't taken some sadistic pleasure in beating you by a handful of marks every single time. You wanted to smack him, but you wanted to smack yourself more for bringing that up to him.
âWell forget I said thatâ you muttered, clearing your throat as you looked anywhere but at him. âWe should finish this up quickly anyway, the bell would ring soonâ you said, picking up the flask to shake the liquid which was blue, the same shade of his eye colour.
âUm, I don'tâI don't know why you would say that but surely I don't hate you, I mean why would I, when you're soââ He stopped himself right there as if realising he was going to say something he shouldn't and gave a nervous, awkward laugh.
âWell anyways, you're right we should get finished with this, we have other classes to attend.â He continued rubbing the back of his neck, the tips of his ears red.
But you were not going to let him go that easily. You were what? What was he gonna say, if you didn't get to know it right now you would keep thinking about it later on and you didn't wanna think about him you already did enough.
âYou were saying something right?â You said setting down the flask. âI am what, go on.â you said, raising your eyebrows, hands crossed over your chest, completely ready to hear something negative.
âAh, hahaâŠI meant thatâ he said, rubbing the back of his head, laughing a little too loud as if forcing himself to, looking nervously around the chemistry lab, trying to avoid your gaze as he fixed his glasses.
âI meant that you're really amazing, you know.â He finally said gulping, like the words were too hard to be spoken out loud and your jaw hit the floor as you looked at him gaping.
You were certainly not expecting this. So, this guy who kept snatching everything you wanted, always by the narrowest, infuriating difference while passing a smile at you, standing right just next to you as if he didn't do the few to just piss you off and see you fume and mop over it.
The golden boy, the one who never failed at anything he tried, thought you were amazing ?
Not even in your wildest dreams you could have thought that.
And what the fuck, why was he blushing at that.
You finally picked your jaw from the floor to speak, âSo, um, hey I don'tâ well thank you. But I wanted to know-â
And that was exactly when the bell rang.
And boy were you after him with a knife or what, he immediately ran off before you could continue further as soon as the bell hit bidding you a quick goodbye.
Damn, he was better than you for nothing if he took classes so seriously, ugh you would have to pull your socks up for this semester exams again.

From Shibuya and Shinjuku's ruins to the Italian coast is a long, dreadful and sorrowful journey you embarked on with your husband.
Freshly scarred and high from the adrenaline after the showdown, Satoru hadn't realised just who he was after defeating Sukuna.
He wasn't just the strongest anymore.
He was a survivor.
The winner.
But he came crashing down from the peak sooner than he expected.
One look in the mirror.
And he wasn't anyone.
Not your husband, and most definitely not Gojo Satoru anymore.
So for months, he hid.
The characteristic charming and confident man you married was nowhere to be seen the last three months. Buried in the rubble that consumes what Tokyo once was.
Satoru is still somewhat a ghost of himselfâyou watch him as he stays rooted at the shore, tall frame swallowed by his orange oversized sweatshirt to hide the dents in his canvas underneath that follow his skin until his mid thighs.
Just staring at the horizon of azure blue, a mirror of his own eyes.
Though you can't see his face, or read his thoughts from where you lay on the sunbed shaded behind the creamy, semi-see through curtains, you can tell his gaze is voidâempty like it's been for some time now.
Or perhaps foggy with his everlasting fear. Paranoia of ever having to relieve what he did. Unfortunately for you, as much as you've tried to be a reassuring and wife, nothing has quite helped your husband with abolishing that mindset just yetâthat he's on the battlefield.
You don't dare to say it out loud.
But you miss your husband.
Your Satoru.
So much.
Not how he looks.
Never that.
But the cheerful, loud and lively version of him. It pains you far too much to see him so far away despite being right next to you.
You press your face further into the plush white pillow beneath your cheek and try to find comfort in itâto no avail, you can only fall asleep on your husband's chest but he's refused physical contact ever since he came home.
It breaks your heart every time.
Because you love him either wayâscarred or notâmaybe now even more than before after he kept his promise of coming back to you.
He doesn't see it that way though. And he avoids you like it's better for you to stay away and not see the outcome of the events carved into him.
Says he's "not worthy for you anymore." or "unattractive." So you won't need to force intimacy onto him because he hates the feeling of your fingers brushing every dip of his skin that wasn't there before and that only serves as a reminder that he was still weak.
You wish he'd understand he's anything but weak.
In the distance he's still watching the waves, you begin to wonder if today, on the third day of your vacationâthe one you forcefully dragged him on, far away from Japan so he'd have a change of scenery (a positive one)âhe will finally get inside the water.
Tug off his cover-up, dip himself beyond his feet in the blue and lose himself in the ocean.
The answer lingers in the back of your mind like a pest, you're sure he's not ready yet, but there's a sliver of hope in your chest.
Which disappears and gets overtaken by vast disappointment once he turns around and makes his way to you. A few long strikes and he reaches where you're bundled up on the bed, hair messily sprawled out on the sheets, curtains half drawn to sheild you from the sun.
And he would usually cling onto you immediately. Throw a hand over your waist, press himself against your back and curl into you. Cuddle you until you both fell asleep in this nice weather.
Instead, now he takes the other end of the bed. Swinging his feet up after dusting the sand off and leaning against the headboardâquiet as a church mouse.
Sadness pools in your stomach, an uneasy feeling taking over your every fiber. You try to be strong knowing he has it so hardâbut you can't help but feel undesirable at some point.
Swallowing the prickling feeling of wanting to cry, you try to keep your voice leveledâclear of any sentimental emotionsâwhen you attempt small talk with him.
"How's the water, honey?"
He's quiet for a beat before mumbling "I didn't go in."
You hum, a sorry excuse of a smile on your face.
And you can't help it when the tears bubble quickly in you and you accidentally choke out a sob you were meant to push down.
Satoruâs head whips over to your sideways curled up figure on the bed when the sound reaches his ear.
You feel pathetic.
Making small talk with your husband.
Helpless, and feeling incredibly selfish.
For the first time in months, Satoru feels himself live in an emotional fully. Worry spreading through his whole body.
He pushes himself off his side of the bed and circles the bed till he reaches your side and crouches right where your face is hidden in the pillow and from where tiny whimpers are muffled.
"Baby, what's wrong?" You start sobbing at the sound of the nickname. He has no idea just how much it means to you to just hear him talk or look at you.
The tears spill past your waterline like a waterfall with no direction or limit, dampening your cheeks, soon turning your eyes raw from the dryness.
You hiccup into the pillow, muffle sobs that rip straight from your chest while your husband stays crouched next to the bed and rubs your backâunaware of the inner turmoil you actually fight everyday because of him.
Because heâs there.
Yet, heâs not.
And it stings.
âItâs okay, tell me why youâre crying.â His voice soothes in your ear, questioning softly with the underlying care in his words that he always had with you.
That has your heart clenching even more, your chest tightening at how the man you knew only shows up every once a never now.
You feel like a terrible wife for wanting him back.
âI miss you.â You frailly cry out, voice a pitch higher and shaky.
Though you canât see him, you know heâs probably wearing that face of indescribable confusion. Heâs there, so what are you talking about?
âIâm right here, sweetheart..?â Heâs unsure as he points out the obvious.
You donât miss a beat in replying. âNo, I miss my husband.â
His mind slowly wraps around the idea he has about what your talking about and something shifts in him.
For the first time since heâs gotten back from the shore, you show your face again. Mascara smudged around the corners, hair messy, cheeks glossy and lips puffy.
âYou donât look at me anymore. You donât let me touch you. We barely talk. You donât let me help. We are married for fucks sake, Satoru.â
Your voice breaks as you spill your hearts content out through the tip of your tongue. Months of frustration and loneliness piercing right at the one man you love most in the world.
Satoru falls quiet with a frozen tongue and a paralysed mind. Internally, he feels the gears shift, his mind rewire as he understands you.
And he gets it.
Shit.
Where has he been these last months?
Back at the battlefield while his wife desperately tried to cling onto his consciousness and ground him like the tether she always was to him in his world of curses?
Uneasiness washes over him at the realisation that he canât erase the pastâthe last months youâve spent in solitude with an absent husband at home, constantly nurturing it without reward.
So all he can offer and pray you accept are apologies.
âShit, babe, Iâm so sorry.â His long fingers clasp around your hand against the pillow. Holding tight enough for you to feel your bones being squished against his.
âIâm so sorry.â
But you donât need his apologies.
He has no need to apologise for. After all, youâre not the only one grieving him. He is too. The life he had, who he was, who the mirror showed him before the slashes.
Itâs different though. He doesnât love who he is now, while you still do.
Heâs still your husband. You said âI do.â 4 years ago with the same confidence youâd say it today. Even after all of the hardships and even after all of the forgiving.
âDonât apologise.â You mutter, shifting on the mattress and sitting upwardâmoving your weight to sit on your legsâand cup his cheek with your right hand to caress it.
Only now do you realise his eyes are glossy too, guilt swimming in themâregret. The kind that eats at your bones for mistakes you didnât mean.
Quietly, you confess with the sound of the waves in the background supporting you.
âIâll always be by your side, Satoru. But you need to let me in. Iâm your wife.â
Your eyes follow the way his Adams apple bobs as he swallows your honest words. Their meaning sinking into his marked skin with permission this time.
He nods onceâslow and sureâand the knot in your chest loosens. In the blink of an eye, heâs getting off his knees.
The matress dips where he sits down next to you, hand still in hand, his body fully turned to you while your legsâfolded beneath youâstill are angled straight ahead.
In a slow pace, he draws himself closer to you. The smell of his natural musk that always drove you crazy mixed with the ocean breeze in his milky white hair filling your senses.
His lips brush against you in the comforting way they always did before meeting.
And slowly, he whispers.
âYou are so much more than my wife.â
You hum once, curtly.
âYouâre my everything.â
And the man you thought you no longer recognised, kissed you like the man you know by heart.
The kiss is impossibly soft. Tender and warm. Electrifying all of your dormant atoms to life, cells buzzing under his touch.
Itâs magical. An open door to the world you thought you were shut out of entirelyâone with him and your love.
His lips move slowly against yours. Plush skin meeting plush skin in a desperate yet patient reunion.
You didnât realise you missed it so much till now.
It hurts to part.
Satoru only pulls away for a second to look in your eyes.
Neither of you exchange words before diving back into each otherâs essences.
His hands find your waist, your body turns to him completelyâback pressing against the headboard as he holds you, your hands fitting on his broad shoulders.
Beneath the tips of your delicate fingers, you feel the dips and uneven surfaces under the thin layer of his sweatshirt.
The kiss deepens once he swipes his tongue under your lip and you grant him that quiet access like you always have under the sun or moon.
Youâve always been Satoruâs.
From the day you saw him on the other side of the train station.
Till now.
And you always will be his.
Your nails slightly dig into his flesh as he explores your mouth, one of his hands now on your chinâtilting your face upâso he can follow the same path he always did.
Tongues fighting, bodies heating up under the daylight, you feel the need to reduce the layers between your thin white cover-up dress and his sweatshirt.
Hesitantly, the pressure on his shoulders caused by your fingers lessens and your hands migrate to the collar of the orange material.
Heâs still kissing you as you tug on the zipper.
Then he freezes.
Tongue retreating and lips separating from the heated kiss. Eyes locking together.
You see the fear and hesitation in his baby blues. A silent prayer for you to not see him.
âSatoru, I love you.â You croak out. Voice scratchy and hoarse. The remaining few drops of tears spill from the corners of your eyes.
âI love you so much you have no idea. And I have always loved you and I always will. Even when you change.â
Your husbandâs heart shatters.
Loud, like glass breaking against the floor. Unmendable.
But he trusts you.
So he dries your face with the buds of his fingers. Kisses the corner of your damp eye, and pulls the zipper down himselfâshowing the tainted and raw outcome of his fight.
Pink scars, painfully painted stars in his history.
You see beyond them. See the chiseled body he worked for, the defined v-line that you go crazy for, his rock-hard abs. His determination.
The scars are mere decorations you wish he accepts someday.
âYouâre beautiful, honey. Even more now.â
Satoru has doubled in mass since being in the prison realm.
Thereâs nothing unattractive about him.
Your mind momentarily flashes to the promises of him giving you a family after the fight if he made it.
Every time you think about it, nausea overtakes you.
That dangerous what if that haunted you for nights before the showdown.
What if he didnâtâŠ
No, heâs home.
And that matters so much to you.
That he could come home missing half of his body and youâd still cherish him to death.
Because you know there were others without the gift or the fortune to see their loved ones faces ever again.
Your hands press against the hard surface of his pecks before peeling your back off the headboard and reaching up to kiss him.
Youâre caged in between his arms that hold himself up against the headrest. He happily accepts the kiss, lighter than a few seconds ago.
He melts into you again. Your back presses against the cushioned board again as he hovers over you once more.
Hands dipping, your nails feel every dip of his abs. Your legs subconsciously closing as the heat in between them grows.
Satoru bites your bottom lip so he can slip inside your mouth this time, his confidence recovering little by little as he sees the effect he still has on you.
You rein back a whimper that almost escapes once he lowers his lower body onto you. Hard boner pressing against your thinly covered clitâslotting himself perfectly against her.
With the palms of your hands, you push the orange sweatshirt off Satoru and he pulls his hands back quickly to throw it off before latching them on your breasts.
Your mouths dance a ballad youâve both practiced across different lives.
With no regard for even considering that people might walk by and catch whatâs happening through the slightly agape curtains, you slowly plunge your hands inside your husbandâs swim trunks.
He hisses against your mouth as your hands wrap around his shaft, sensitive from not being touched or touching himself at all these last months.
Every fiber in you is on fire. His lips leave yours and attach to your neckâpeppering your skin with love bites that show youâre his as he works on kneading your tits.
You start pumping his girth at a rhythmic pace, swiping your index finger to collect the small amount of pre-cum oozing out of his tip to stroke him.
Satoruâs face lifts to see you spit on your hand while maintaining eye contact and he feels himself grow harder even when itâs not even possible anymore.
His hand messily pushes down his swim shorts and his cock springs up, hitting him in his lower belly where you immediately grab it and coat it in your spit.
He lets out a deep rumble from his chest that has you twitching around nothing. One large hand pushing your cover up just enough for your bikini-covered breasts to meet the light of day.
A finger hooks under the thin strap underneath them and he sets them free once he tugs the string over your tits.
Your stroking falters when he moves to your nipple, biting as a greeting and then sooting the sensitive bundle of nerves.
Youâre drippingâsoaking the expensive material of your bathing suit under your cover.
Satoruâs still working on your nipple when his hand pushes up your cover up and moves aside your panties. Long fingers pressing against your warm wetness.
He swears he could cum just for the fact that youâre this wet over him.
A thick, rough digit of his pokes at your entrance before slipping inside. You gasp at the stretch, not having had sex in a long time.
Satoru relishes in the small sound. He pumps the finger once, twice and on the third thrust he unexpectedly adds another finger.
Now, his middle and ring finger stretch you. Wedding ring pressing against your cunt whenever he bottoms his hand out.
His palm rubs against your clit in a way that has you twitching beneath him. Your body jerks at his tongue swirling around your nipple and his palm slapping your bud.
Small moans ring in his ear. With your hands still wrapped around him, he starts thrusting against the mattress, chasing that friction while your mind crashes.
He feels you tense up when your walls start to flutter around his fingers so he pulls them out before you can reach your release.
You feel him lower and latch his mouth onto your pussy before you can process it and whimper for the loss of his digits. Hands letting go of his length as he lowered himself.
Immediately, your hips buck when he flattens his tongueâtrying to lap up and consume relish in every taste of his wifeâs nectar that sheâll offer him.
You lose all control over the moans and whimpers that leave your mouthâtoo far gone to even think about others now when your husband eats you up so messily.
Your juices mixed with his saliva soak into the white mattress, staining it, yet the two of you couldnât care less.
Satoru laps up like a starved man. As he is. His tongue slips past your ring of resistance at times, teasing. Testing to see if youâre ready.
Your nails cling at his back, scratching new redness that he doesnât mindânot in the way he does with his scars.
His hands are now under your plush ass, angling you upwards and holding you in place as he devours you with the reverence and need he has always had with you.
Your orgasm approaches quickly once he reignites it. Satoru holds the need to smirk against you once he feels your clit twitch and your sweet cunt start to flutter all alone.
He looks up with your bud in between his lips to see the heavenly sight of you propped on your elbows, tits out and glistening, your head thrown back.
His rutting against the bed stops.
You come undone on his tone aggressively. It hits you all at once, shivers overtaking you as your mind falls into pure euphoria.
Satoru doesnât let a single drop spill.
Not giving you much time to recover, too eager to melt his body with yours, and with you all over his face, your husband climbs over your body again and captures your lips in a kiss.
Tasting yourself on his glistening lips, you shudder and whimper from how sensitive you are once you feel him rub his tip against your entrance.
â âtoruuu.â You whine, tears brimming your eyes.
A mock pity pout spawns on his face. His head lolls to the side as he watches your struggled expressionâmouth parted, eyes fluttering open and shut when he brushes himself against your overstimulated clit.
âDidnât you miss me, baby?â He teases.
"Iâdid-I missed you so much, mmh!" You mewl out in high-pitched stutters. Eyes falling shut and letting the tears spill from your clamped shut eyelids once he bottoms out in one go.
âOh fuck.â Satoru bites back a low groan that escapes straight from his chest, his thighs pressing against the round and plush skin of your ass.
He wastes no time in pulling back and snapping himself back home. Letting his length disappear inside of you with little to no resistance. âYeah, baby. Take all of me.â
Electricity sparks every once-dormant nerve in your body back to life.
Your mind momentarily flashes back to the promises he had vowed to keep before the fight. How heâd retire if he won, give you a family and spend the rest of his days cherishing the moments he spends in your arms.
And you snap out of your thoughts once you feel his two hands slide under your thighs, strong forearms locking them against your hamstrings so he can snugly wrap your legs around his textured waistâcarved skin firmed up from days in a dark realm where he fought against time and his own mind.
You feel him everywhere. To the veins harshly reminding you how they have a place within your velvety walls ever since he vowed to be the only one who would ever walk the earth to please youâto the heat swirling in your chest out of profound and raw love you have for your husband.
Itâs not supposed to be such a bittersweetly beautiful moment as Satoru is keeping your legs folded around himâforcing him to voluntarily slam down and dip his bulging cock back down home, juices welcoming him and kissing his length goodbye when he pulls backâbut itâs so painfully good.
The way heâs back within your reachâcaging you under his huffing, feral state where you can see the light color of his eyes sparkling as his body is electrified with life for the first time in monthsâand the way heâs stretching you out so deliciously.
Making you mewl out incomprehensible words that end up being letters melted into each other with no real meaning because your brain can barely form a real thought.
Heâs finding the love you have for him in every crevice of you as your tongues mesh together again. Saliva on saliva as he connects his hips to yours without faltering once.
Begrudgingly, he pulls back. Your eyes fall down to his plush baby pink swollen lips that once shined with your release.
His breathing is heavy, chest rising and fallingâoccasionally shaking as a deep groan escapes him when you suck him in so greedilyâfor a second, you catch his stare falling to your bodies connecting.
Then he snaps back upâface levelling to you where youâre still giving him that fucked out doe-eyed look that he swears will have him falling over the edge sooner than he intends to.
âBaby?â He softly calls out, the four-lettered word spilling out of his mouth with ease that comes out of the habit he has of calling you that loving name.
You barely hear the sound of his voice, mind somewhere over the clouds. His tip is pushing past your cervix soo nicely. Kissing that little spot that makes your muscles start to spasm in uneven wavesâyour eyesight blur and the tears streak down the sides of your face quick.
Unbeknownst to you, Satoru is a lot more pleased with himself than heâd admit right now. Even after the noise, the trauma and the ashesâhe still has it in him.
Still has it inside of him to unravel you with the simples touches, to have you with your mouth parted open and your eyes rhythmically rolling back as he plunges inside of youâsearching for your release.
It fills his body with a tingling sensationâa lingering hot feeling right where his heart sits at the realisation that youâre his wife in every sense of the word.
That youâre still here and still so loving.
All for him.
âM-mhm?â He hears you barely make out, nails moving from his back and onto his forearms where your nails subconsciously dig into his tainted skin.
A cannined smile pulls on his handsome face, almost resembling one of his characteristic smirks that has you knowingâeven in your hazeâthat something is coming.
âRemember the promise I made you?â
Instantly, you scramble around your mind to try and filter to the thousands of promises youâve offered each other and that he has yet to break.
There are so many, and you donât have enough mind to run through them all.
âWhichângh, âtoru!â In the middle of your attempt to speak, he shifts, hooking both legs over his shoulders. Drawing his chest down, the strong surface of his chest weighing down on your smooth skin.
ââright there! Ohââ
Youâre loud. Too loud for someone on a sunbed in a public place. Satoru probably knows it. Yet he makes no effort in shutting you upâhe doesnât muffle your real moans with a kiss, doesnât silence your babbles with his hand. He lets them pour out into the open.
He lets the world know youâre his.
And that heâs back.
Either way, you donât make any effort to stop the shore from knowing your lover is back.
His calloused hands, detailed with resilience and his unmatched strength, go delicate as he tries to wipe the stream of tears on the sides of your face.
âCâmon baby, you know which one.â
Seeing the way you fall quietâhalf losing the fight between yourself and climaxing too early as your orgasm holds you by your throat, and half winning over the chaos of your mindâhe âaidsâ you just a bit as his left hand drops and finds your clit with soft circles.
Heâs teasing you, worsening the internal struggle heâs putting you throughâsetting every nerve in your body on fire as he pulls your release by the reins.
âWhat do you want from me?â
His words find a place in your disoriented head, clicking with his previous question.
A baby.
You wanted a baby with him before the fight.
A family.
Something to remember him by
Every night before that godforsaken day.
You tried.
Clung onto his body with a differentâmore painful kind of desperation than the one you have right now.
Tried for a baby.
Tried to leave a part of him within you just in case heâ
The answer spills out of your mouth before your mind dips to darker places.
âA family.â You breathe out, eyes clamping shut for a second.
He muses, face dipping to press soft kisses to your pulsing temple. âYeah?â
âYâyeah!â
Your voice pitches higher at the last second as he presses down on your clit.
âPleaseâplease, âtoruâdonât leave me. Give me a baby.â
You donât realise just how your fear is spilling through the cracks as you beg to finish and for him to never be done with you.
And Satoru goes soft.
Pace stuttering, abs tighteningâheâs so close, youâre so close too.
With slow strokes, already high off demolishing you the past momentsâSatoru rides the last moments of the roller coaster as he reaches his end.
âIâll give you everything, honey.â He whispers, the bed creaking less beneath the both of you as he takes you to the edge.
And you titter to your orgasm that crashes over you twice as strong the second time once he completes his sentence. âJust take it all.â
He places a soft kiss to your lips as he buries himself inside, ropes and ropes of white milky cum filing your wombâoverflowing right out of your walls while he remains inside, twitching and unwilling to leave.
A choked sob is muffled as Satoruâs lips catch it, right hand caressing your cheek.
Everything falls quiet, the smell of sex in the open air quickly settles back into the horizon as the sea overtakes the atmosphere and your ears hear the waves crashing against the sand.
The birds sing a song that relaxes your muscles. Your husband goes limp inside of you before pulling outâno longer having anything left of his to give thatâs not love.
He plops down to you, the bed dipping in two sides nowâbut it quickly goes back to only one spot when he wraps his arms around you, pulling you over his warm body, letting you hear his heartbeat underneath the layers of skin.
Thud thud thud.
The sound goes straight to your veins, travelling through arteries and shifting your own heartbeat till it follows his.
Heâs home.
Your Satoru is home.
And you fall asleep in his arms.
Safe, the way you both deserve to be.
Three hours later, Satoru walks over to the rim of the sea, stares off into the distance as the sun kisses his pale skin.
Heâs uncovered, letting the salty breeze greet his open and slowly healing scars.
But heâs real.
And you join him when he goes inside the water.
Because this is just the first step out of the trenches.
And youâll be there with him every stretch of the way.
