So, going back from this theory that we ended learning that in fact that master is Iori, but what does this have to do with Merlin?

The theory is really short, but what if Fate/Samurai Remnant's master was one of the first masters that Merlin decided to give a peek? I mean that game is told to happen on fourth year of the Keian Era, Edo Period Japan, that is 1651, that in theory could be 100~ years after Merlin getting trapped in Avalon. Merlin's capacities of looking around like a magic telescope, could made him see this master for the first time. So if them are an ancestor to Fujimaru Ritsuka, probably Merlin wanted to check out how does a future version of that master would be in the present.

I think all this posible interaction is really important for Merlin because that is how probably he learned on how does a servant work, or a vague idea of what is happening in the throne of heroes. More to say that this event could motivate him to use his independent manifestation on japan, since a lot of servants from japan (or even china?) know him, and it's to wonder if they knew him while they were alive or once the become servants.

The other day I was looking the promo video of Fate/Samurai Remnant with my friend, and immediately saw the following

I asked "Isn't just me or does that look like Guda's command code!?" and for my surprise she was thinking the same. She inmedialy suggested that this was Ritsuka ancestor, and that probably is Miyamoto Iori, because his reaction when a mysterious woman (That is totally not Musashi Miyamoto) appeared, was knowing her sword style. On that moment I noticed that this little phrase actually made sense and actually fills up a lot of holes in Ritsuka's story.

Okay to the topic. Why is Purin's class important? This is important because if we theorize she is independent manifesting just as PHH Merlin, means she should always be Caster, but what will happen if she ends being other class like Saber, Lancer or even Pretender just as some leaks are speculating. Here are my following theories until they reveal her class!

So, today I was checking twitter and saw this tweet of course it's meant to be a joke about Merlin disguised as Fou or having Fou Ears, nothing else. But I think a bit about it and noticed that "Primate Murderer" has this characteristics:

Magical beast

Nature Spirit

Evil of Man

Bloodsucker

The important one is "Evil of Man" because the Antichrist is the one that represents the evil, and you know who could be the Antichrist just because is a Cambion (Half human Half fiend).

Then you have "Bloodsucker" that it's mostly related to vampires but it can also be related to incubus/succubus since they absorb the energy of the humans.

It's important to point down that Merlin decided not to be the enemy of humanity and decided to help it in his way as a whim. Fou followed his path kinda by accident, because even if Merlin talked about humanity he did not change Fou's perspective on humans, meanwhile when Merlin free him from Avalon, the one that made Fou have a different perspective on humans was Ritsuka Fujimaru (and Mash). 

So the theory for now is what if they are both the same Beast IV? Something like Beast III and it's varieties R and L, but of course with another kind of lore or idea. After all the Antichrist is not necessary only one being but could be a lot of beings that look for the humanity to take the path of 'evil' or 'self destruction'. They could be an only being called "Antichrist" separated in different beings.

There are some leaks around the internet about LB6.3, beyond this point it's just taking the speculation as real and theorizing based on that, beware:

Here we have the picture to give context about the skill that Oberon has as support in LB6. It is not confirmed if this skill will remain when we can summon him or it’s only a skill for this Lost Belt specifically. 

Oberon confirms during LB6 that he doesn't know Merlin at all. He even feels confused about being compared to the court mage. Maybe he is lying, we don't know, almost all the characters that are like this lie about knowing or not a character.  

But let's believe that he doesn't know Merlin.

At first I had the idea that Oberon doesn’t take buff of Merlin allies because magical creatures, fairies, or anyone that is from Avalon, can’t take the magic of a Half dream demon-half human creature that easily. Connected with this idea, I thought that Merlin has been weakened because he is trapped in Avalon, and that somehow lowers his magic, but this idea is debunked because apparently only Oberon has this specific skill (for now) and also because we can use Merlin normally in all LB6 without debuffs.

Other idea I had, is that, if we notice, this skill also increases the debuff of all non-foreigner allies, meaning that Merlin could be related to foreigners, and even to Threat of humanity trait, because his mixed blood, and because in fate lore, his dad was a demon between the earth and the moon. Also in historical lore Merlin was meant to destroy humanity but he denied to that idea. That’s something I theorized time ago about XX and Castoria skills. 

Probably we are really getting another Merlin that accomplishes some of those traits or maybe they will add some of those traits to the actual Merlin. 

This will be a post of theories and some ideas I have over Merlin appearing at the beginning of LB6, yeah I just gather a couple with only this cinematic.

When I saw “A Magician” and later is told that the fog in Avalon makes people lost their memory, I thought that Merlin lost his memory and just considers himself a magician not “The magician”, just a magician that has the memory of a poem that’s actually a prophecy and he somehow knows he has to tell it to Ritsuka. 

With the same idea of amnesia, I thought that he just believes is an a magician and has nothing to do with no one’s story, something like he will tell you the story of a king and his mage, but he won’t relate it to himself. 

Other idea with the amnesia, was that he lost that little empathy he has and always tries to deny, because he has forgotten his relation with some humans, so definitely doesn’t feel anything this time.

Lastly with the amnesia idea, I thought he would act more formal and even more serious, because he is now gathering words that aren’t his own or simply doesn’t remember as his.

Later I thought that using “A Magician” was because in Fate/Grand Order Material IV he says that he is forgettable, so maybe just considers he is already forgotten or something like that.

Then I noticed that I forgot about the existence of various Merlin in different timelines, so probably this one isn’t the Merlin we know, but the Lostbelt Merlin, so maybe he is not into amnesia but just doesn’t know a story to look over.

The other thing is that is Lostbelt Merlin but because he is in constant mana-atmospheric fog that makes you forget, he forgets everything each day or something like that.

Another one is that Lostbelt Merlin doesn’t know how to do independent manifestation outside Avalon, mostly because is the first time I see Merlin running away from the one who trapped him. He has always been chill wherever he is with his independent manifestation.

Here I will write a bit about her and analyzing and comparing her with Merlin, making some theories based on her profile or simply comenting her profile in general.

She served Arthur Pendragon as his court magus. In contrast to the male Merlin, she is not imprisoned in the Tower of Avalon. Proto Merlin is a mixed-blood between a human and a dream-demon. She describes herself as a big sister, a person who supervises the Master's journey. 

Makes me question why she is not imprisoned, of course historical Merlin has a couple of versions where he is not trapped and even got married, but caught my atention this detail remembering her NP has a tower anyway.

Yes that is a tower upside down. At least I get that idea beause Merlin’s Tower looks like his cane. So Proto’s can be like that too. The upside down part could be just to remember that Avalon is in the reverse side of the world.

Not being trapped means she has a good relationship with fairies or means that she just didn’t let herself be trapped. This can also mean she is friends with Vivian/Nimue whoever trapped Merlin.

Chaotic Good, 156 cm / 20 kg (She is a flower, yes) Skills :  Territory Creation D, High-Speed Incantation EX, Item Creation A+, Mixed Blood EX, Independent Manifestation A, Hero Creation B, Dreamlike Charisma D, Margin of the Dream Demons EX.

SHE IS A FLOWER!?

Territory Creation D , a rank less that Merlin, so I guess that’s because she is chaotic and gets bored faster than Merlin.

High-Speed Incantantion EX, this one is curious, Merlin’s is rank C because he bites his tounge. This can be a explanation why she doesn’t use a sword, her incantantion is fast so she doesn’t need to ‘Hit enemies because is faster’ also she is weaker than Merlin with Strenght E.

Item Creation A+, this can be higher once again because her high-speed incantantion or because it has something to do with having a good relationship with fairies. By that maybe her sword in the stone didn’t break fast like Merlin’s sword did.

Mixed Blood EX, Independent Manifestation A. Just the same as Merlin.

Noble Phantasm: Hope of Avalon. For Proto Merlin, Avalon is not a closed place, but a goal open to humanity. Avalon is the form of "the future what renders the ideal that humans make as their objective". It is like hope itself. 

Apparently this Avalon is not “only the sinless shall pass”  hopes and dreams are bigger than a wish, that’s why Avalon is a goal or can be a goal that surparses  walls, castles, or nations. I still waiting for Proto Merlin’s chant to be translated so I can undestand a bit more on what she refers.

Her excessive beauty makes one lose touch with reality. She is calm, but is not a wise mage. She is never stressed and her way of thinking is emotionless. She is often considered as a cold-blooded wizard who is indifferent to the Human World. 

The wise part is weird, why is detailed that she is not wise? also what really caught my attention was the part of she being indifferent to the Human world, Merlin’s profile says how he likes human world like a group and not individuals, but proto Merlin's profile just is told she is indifferent.

Proto Merlin's Hero Creation is B because she prefers to have fun rather than watching over the birth and education of a King. Her charisma is D because sometimes she makes a King's life a mess just for fun. Generally speaking, Proto Merlin places fun above all else. 

She can create heroes just for fun then. She is not a motherly figure but a onee-san instead. Her charisma describes that definetly she is a chaotic mage. All this part of her profile made me realize that Merlin isn’t that chaotic as I thought. 

Like male Merlin, she never died and cannot be summoned as Servant. She uses her own power to materialise as Servant, simply as a hobby. Proto Merlin considers human's travels (their lives) as sometimes too boring, so she pinches them a little. Indeed, she pinched Arthur a lot.

Same hobby as Merlin. But let’s not just watch the story, let’s pinch it!

Proto Merlin loves boys, the world of humans and sneakiness. She never forgets to smile, no matter what the circumstances. She takes everything with a smile and her famous "Well, let's see, now". She uses the first person "Boku" when she speaks in a very personal way. 

I.. Actually even if it’s said she is colder and chaotic than Merlin, it kinda hurts thinking her king died and just smiled about it because her personality. 

"Humans are humans, and I'm what I'm." Merlin's incantations are close to the language of fairies, short, fast and with a part of sorrow. Proto Merlin embodies hope, no matter how ugly the human world is, as long as there is a shining star, "all is well".

Another flower mage that finds themself outside human society and that last words are beautiful. Merlin looks the ugliness of this word of something that has to exist or else it wouldn’t be fun.

After reading her profile a couple of times and now comparing her with Merlin I just can conclude that she and Merlin together make the full description on who is Merlin historically talking or at least a good part of Geoffrey of Monmouth‘s Merlin. A chaotic mage who sometimes helped king arthur and sometimes made his life a mess. Wise but looks out for fun first. This still does not make me drop my theory of the existence of more Merlins based in other details of historical Merlin.
