“I have to say, there is very little stranger than being a forty-three year old man with four children already, and getting into a pregnancy scandal,” he admitted, rubbing his hand over his face with a little laugh. It was the first time since gabe was born that he’d been back at the higher building– he was just in and out, getting some stuff so he could do some work from home while on paternity leave. but gabriel was old enough to not be a sobbing mess when away from lucille, so andrew thought he’d bring the baby along in a little carrier, so his friends at work could meet him. “seems the place hasn’t burned down in my absence, so that’s nice to see at least.”

“how cliché-- ahmi did it first,” jangbyul teased, smiling at the baby. she’d been at the higher building to work with seola, but she was glad she crossed paths. lucy was a dear friend of hers. “well, legacy have been promoting. hard to set anything on fire if you’re not in the building.”

“i don’t know what dispatch fuckin expected,” seola snorted. “my last song before this release was about sex. like, explicitly. you really think that if i want to make that kind of music i can go on the music show circuit? not a fuckin chance.”

“want me to leak my past jobs? get the heat off you?” jangbyul teased. “i’ll bet mnet will regret having me work for them when they find out.”

blair often forgot that byul was actually famous. they kind of lived their lives normally, and while byul had fans, they were nothing like the fans he dealt with at work. but every once in a while, there was a real weirdo. and really, blair was glad he had the training he did– sasaeng fans were nothing to laugh at. and he could recognize one a mile away.

she didn’t regret going on idol project, nor did she regret her career choice. she loved what she did, and it had given her more credibility. but it had really brought the weirdos out-- if she could have taken the good without the weird fans, she would have. when blair mentioned the fan in question, she felt her heart drop into her stomach. imagine if he wasn’t there-- it almost made her sick.

Nemo had seemed to have plenty of free time now a days; but plenty was on her mind. After a rough visit with her parents, she wasn’t sure if being in the music scene at all was a good choice for her anymore. The constant pressure was building up inside of her like a pack of mentos sealed into a coke bottle; she had no idea when she would explode and that scared her.  It made her reclusive and hide away from everything and everyone she was used to; only allowing herself to be buried in what little work she had. Producing music was her dream and here her parents were trying to take it away from her; well, at least partially anyway. She’s so zoned out that she doesn’t notice the other person calling her name, or whatever they ask her until their hand is on her shoulder, “Oh, sorry…What did you say?”

“i said my daughter likes your hair,” jangbyul repeated, patting the toddler hiding behind her legs on the head. “she’s too shy to tell you herself, but she wanted you to know”

“there’s nothing more frustrating than knowing the name of something, but having to call it something stupid,” meilin sighed dramatically, adjusting her ponytail. “like doing a back extension roll with an extra kick to take out someone’s legs, but having it be called something ridiculous like the equalizer? i think it’s going to be the death of me.”

“meilin, sweetheart, can you really picture an announced saying that big long technical term in the heat of the moment as it happens? matches move too quickly for that-- they need to find other things to refer to them as.”

“some days i really regret having a business email,” jina admitted with a long-suffering sigh. “i just got three brand deal offers today, and one of them was for one of those stupid teas. i work for an athletics company– you really think i’m going to give the ok for one of those teas? it’s madness.”

“i’ve gotten the same emails-- i get fit by dancing 15 hours a day. do these idiots really think that i have the time to spend on the fucking toilet for 3 hours because of their dumb diarrhea tea? or the time to spend in er because i’m malnourished and dehydrated? assholes.”
