QOTD: How do you study for finals?

AOTD: I don’t have as many finals this year (I only have two) and I can’t work on my English Final so I decided to tackle my math one. I have a list of practice problems I want to do, ALL the notes from the entire year, and all the worksheets too. I’ll probably spread this work out over the next two weeks. It its an open note final so that’s lucky but it’s still a pretty big one.

Ello!! I haven’t been super active lately and I apologize for that, end of the year is always super hectic for me haha. I’m not totally sure if I’ll be as active over summer vacation either since I usually spend time with family and what not but I’ll update you once school ends (which is in three weeks and I literally cannot wait lol).

But I got the first shot of the Pfizer vaccine and I cannot touch my shoulder without majorly wincing. A friend told me I should keep moving it so around school, people have caught me doing random mini arm circles lmao.

Hi!!! How are you today? I started my day with positivity cause I woke up at around 5:05 AM and I actually got a lot of stuff done. My school starts at 8 so I have a loooot of time left lmao.

I realized that there’s electricity on my desk and the blanket could catch a spark so I decided to go back to normal wood photos sorry! I also won’t be posting about the challenge I’ve embarked because it’s becoming more of a burden to post than actually fun. I’ll still give updates every once and a while 💝

Today was a crazy day...

When you forget to post...hehe

SO I was mainly running around the city doing errands haha but I got some programming in. That’s literally all I had time for...*facepalms*

BUT I was productive in the sense where I got other stuff like errands, paper work, etc. done, which is also being productive in my vocabulary xD

I hope you all have a great day and I’ll be back in a few hours to post about today (since i didn’t exactly post yesterday lmao).

Hii! Firstly, this is an amazing question because I struggled with notes, organizing, and stuff amongst those lines for the longest time (safe to say I still do sometimes). My first advice is to know how you study. Whether you use flashcard or notes, knowing how you study will save you a LOT of time (personal experience hehe).

Now, moving onto notes. For paper notes, the utensils I use are a 0.5 Pentel Energel, some highlighter color (I use zebra mildliner in particular). I recently got a Tombow brush pen but since I’m inexperienced with it, I don’t currently use it for notes (but I may in the future). Just know that writing notes allows you to retain information better but NOT if you write the entire sentence (which I do too often :|), so I recommend you write keywords hehe. For digital notes, I have an ipad air gen 4 (or whichever is the most latest version), an apple pencil gen 2, and an app called Notability (for details on the app, I have a post that goes over my favorite productivity apps and Notability is a dedicated slide). For the titles, I use text (Font: Moonbright Demo) and I fill in the empty space with a highlight line that’s the same color as the title. Subtitles are in the same font and color, just a smaller size and not highlight around them. The actual notes is up to you how you want to do them :)

Regarding organization, this is completely how you function as a person. I personally have not ‘set’ way I organize (I kinda wing it every week haha), but my paper notes are put into same subject folder/binders, and my digital notes are in their own divider + subjects (I haven’t used any other app but Notabiliity so I’m not totally sure how other apps work in the field of organization).

Let me know if you have any other questions in particular I can answer. I can totally understand the frustration of academics and notes and organization and all that other *fun* stuff haha. 

Okay, so yesterday, I had the brilliant idea to actually be productive since it was a new month. I had recently seen the 100 day productivity challenge circle around the place and I was like, ‘Cool, how hard can it be?’... A day later, I’m low-key freaking out haha. I’m actually getting shit done but I’m also taking a lot more breaks than I expected so my brain and I negotiated a deal, workdays are single days, week-ends count as one day (Saturday and Sunday are just one day together)...which gives me the break I need and the work time I need to get stuff done.

But...YEAH! Which brings me here :)

At this point, I’m basically treating tumblr as a public journal to record each day but I’ll definitely be around more often cause guess what, I’m doing a PRODUCTIVITY (a foreign word in my vocabulary) challenge!!

The two pictures above are bio and chem notes I took today (chem is digital and bio is paper). I did some ceramics work (in which I made a cupcake shaped container) and french work (geography and culture of the francophone world; Senegal in particular) too. I decided to keep my hair as two french-braids (the quality of them is questionable but not the point xD), and sketched some acrobatic poses (handstands on stilts and on silk tapestries, idk what it’s called haha).

I’m really proud of myself because I did a lot more than I thought I could, and also had fun while I was at it (the two candy wrappers should be the clues ;)

Today’s a new week and we’re at a new month too. Start of strong.
