im coining a new term for what was going on between max and jack and it's called intellectual tension.
key elements:
smth in their core self that's the same and instantly recognizable to the other.
some shared skill or aspect that can only be rivaled only by the other. notably it would be gauche to bring this up.
some shit goes down and they instantly go 👀👀👀 😐😐😐 at each other. you know.
like it's not romantic by any reasonable definition. but it's in the same key
at Most they're only fucking by accident
they're probably outside each others' normal scope of attraction for age or gender reasons. but they have the exact same type.
