β’ About β’
Hello and welcome to my blog! This blog is primarily for writing prompts and inspo, especially for fantasy-related whump, hurt/comfort, and sickfic. This blog was previously called aspens-writing-ideas, then it was called nat-1-whump, and then I finally changed it to aspens-whump. (I'm indecisive AF though, so I might change the name again, lol.) Profile picture currently is an unnamed OC who's been bouncing around in my brain for a while. This is a sideblog, so likes and asks do not come from here.
My favorite whump tropes include hypothermia whump, magic exhaustion, fevers, petrification whump (whumpee turned to stone), poison whump, curses or other magic, nonhuman whumpee with human caretaker or vice versa, hospital whump, stern caretaker, passing out, gag whump, environmental whump (especially if it involves magic or monsters), infected wounds, field medicine, and a ton of others. Honestly, if I'm not squicked out by it, there's a good chance I'll like it, lol.
Tropes I generally avoid include anything explicitly sexual, whumpee dying (unless I'm in the mood for it which isn't often), eye whump, pet whump, and anything involving child characters.
I try to tag common triggers (formatted as "tw ___" without the quotation marks), but I might miss things, so please let me know if you need something tagged! I don't post explicit sexual content here, but there is a lot of writing about injury and violence, so do be warned.
If you happen to post anything inspired by this, please feel free to tag me (ofc you don't have to though)! I love to see how every writer puts their own spin on things.
As for me personally, my name is Aspen (any pronouns, ace sapphic). I'm an adult in college, with a good portion of that time spent daydreaming about whump scenarios. I can't count the number of times I've gone to bed late because I got distracted by a whump or hurt/comfort story. I'm into some fantasy-related fandoms like Castlevania and TTRPGs, though I don't post much about specific fandoms or characters on this blog.
