How Splendid

Sketching out the design! I browsed through Google images of Tiffany lamps for inspiration. I tried to keep it to reasonable shapes and fabric colors. The final design actually has several tweaks, to make my life easier and the geometry work better (it has to work in a circle, not just a straight line).

Test “leaf” so I can measure how many leaves will fit on the skirt

Now that I know how many “leaves” will fit, I can cut out alll the pieces, and hem all of them.

All the pieces laid out and temporarily glued down. You’d be surprised how long this took to get the spacing right.
