It's been a blast but I genuinely don't think I'll be back to this account and I thought it might be fair to tell yall that!

so i suppose i should make a bit of a public announcement to be fair to y’all; in the past couple of months, things have been very much chaotic for me - i started university, i work, i moved in with a signif, you can imagine it’s been a lot. 

I’m not saying there’s no chance I will come back to this blog, but right now, I’m focussing what little spare time I have on my own projects and I ask that you understand that. If you want to keep following my art, I’m still active on @majiniesthings (or under the same handle on instagram) and will be posting original projects and other fandoms, too, with less focus on Hamilton. (again, that doesn’t mean I’m never getting back to it, but if you follow me, you’ll be better off following me for my art or me than to wait for something that I might not deliver, so... you’ve been warned.)

All that aside, it’s been an absolute blast with you guys and I’m super grateful for the time that y’all have stuck around for! I’d be very very happy to see some familiar names on my art blog. <3

Herc: I mean, believe me, I know it doesn’t seem that easy, but... it’s not like you have to go straight out “hey do you wanna be poly”, you can start more carefully than that. Bring it up in a conversation, ask whether the person knows what a polyamorous relationship even means and what they think about it. 

Herc: Communication is important in every kind of relationship, but especially when it’s not monogamous, you gotta make sure your partners are comfortable with the way you handle your relationship. There’s not like... one right way to be poly, you gotta figure out where your boundaries are and what you’re okay with and what not. 

Alex: I mean, I’m not gonna lie, testosterone helped a bunch. I rarely get misgendered anymore and that is a goddamn blessing. But no, that doesn’t mean I don’t get insecure anymore, about… a bunch of things, honestly - sometimes it’s my voice or, like you already said, my height, and sometimes entirely different things depending on the day. When I was younger and not on T yet, I chopped off my hair because I thought it looked too feminine.

Alex: I honestly don’t know which kind of dysphoria I get the most, it varies. On some days, especially when I can’t wear my binder, that’s bad of course. Especially combined with the long hair, then, I still kinda want to take a razor to it sometimes. My signifs usually help me through that, too.

Alex: Especially Laf, because on her Marie-days she experiences something similar, but John and Herc do their best, too. There’s no magic cure for dysphoria, of course, but they do their best to reassure me so I feel less horrible about myself. I mean, it sounds incredibly mundane, but just them telling me that no, I’m no less of a man just because my anatomy doesn’t quite conform with what you’d usually expect helps a lot. 

Alex: And it’s important to remember that even when it feels horrible in that moment, it’s going to get better, I promise. There’s still gonna be good and bad days, but all in all, it’s worth going on.
