A dark curling waterfall of hair fell in front of golden eyes as shame crept through her, “Yes, I was under Draven Vesser.” Crashing images of blood, pained faces, and crying family members caused Esmeralda’s breath to completely stop. She always thought that her PTSD would have left now that she was a vampire, but for some reason it seemed to stick around. Maybe it was because it was exacerbated by the events of being a vampire. 

“Dear it’s alright, if you were still a war child you wouldn’t have left your creator. It’s okay. We all have our starts and they are our pasts. It’s okay.” She assured her leaning forward and nodding. “Its been centuries and they still reign despite their growing enemies. They won’t fall my dear, no matter we all want them too.”

It sounded like Esmeralda needed to stay far away from Aro. She knew that her empathia would be detrimental to her well being should he have found out. She determined that she would stay silent about it as much as she possibly could. 

Her curly hair fell out of her face as she awaited an answer. “Its alright, if you were Esmeralda, I just would like to know. One of my cousins was also from the wars down there.” She explained softly, knowing that the subject may be sensitive. “Its alright, the saying time heals all wounds is partially true. Don’t let my words make you fret child, for while Aro is a dangerous man he is not one for discretion. I have had my family on his wanted list for centuries now, so if youre worried that someone you know is going to be found by him, I wouldn’t. It is possible to evade is wrath filled hand.” She said. “You sound like the Romanians, young one. Too much like the Romanians.”
