he typically likes a muted colour or a beige, and with his complexion and hair tone i think that makes sense. some examples:

i think he can easily upgrade this to look more refined and expensive. it's a good base and he's clearly developing some attempt at taste so this is my ideas for how to improve it. at the moment im obsessed with bottega veneta menswear so i have picked out some pieces for him to consider.

jackets

i think any of these would fit well with his current wardrobe. i love the signature bottega veneta texture and the pop of it on the collar on the first one is my fave. i also think he should lean into heavier or more structured jackets like a corduroy over thinner ones because of his boxier frame. they should sit better on him. the left and right ones are available in navy which would also look good on him.

2. sweaters/cardigans

i think the first one will appeal to his love of cream/off white (?). it's got some texture and i love the shape of the collar. the green cardigan is a lighter one for hotter days and i love the colour. he should wear more green. the last one has the iconic bottega veneta texture again but isn't too complicated and will mix in with existing his wardrobe well.

3. honourable mention: travel bag

i just love their bags. he should invest in one just for me. look at it!! stunning.
