Life is gonna throw a hell of a lotta sh*t and shade your way. This is a given. But if you work on yourself every day and have faith, patience and determination, then it won't matter what does get thrown, you WILL get through it. This is what I have finally learned after a trying couple of years spent wandering in the wilderness. Work on myself every day and then I won't sweat the silly little things and the big things will gradually become bite sized too.

Extreme de-cluttering going on in my life at the minute. How did I accumulate so much crap in, really, a matter of a few years?! Embarrassingly, I do feel a little zen at every beloved item that I manage to let go of. Still have romantic visions of me selling the lot and shipping off, with only a backpack and a smile. My favourite Humans of New York posting that I’ve ever seen. (And it’s from Kenya!) It resonated so much.

It’s a standard Saturday night. I’m having a few drinks with my bro and sis, and also my niece, whose over in Manchester, joining us via Skype. We were debating the topic of hope. (Again, standard Mackle Saturday night.) My bro was quoting Nietzsche, arguing that hope only serves to prolong the torments of man (bear with me), whilst myself and my sister were reassuring my niece that hope is actually a good thing. Remembering this image I had saved in my iPad, decided to throw this little quote into the mix, being that it’s Morgan Freeman, a.k.a. the voice of God, so it should be the final word on the matter. 😜 And yes, I know it’s Andy Dufresne that says it but luckily they were too tipsy to pick up on that. So I hold the iPad up to the computer screen and ask my niece ‘can you see that ok?’ And she responds…'yeah, I can sort of make it out, well, I can see Nelson Mandela there anyway’…😂 I died. The End.
