In this theory I will tackle who Uber A is, who Charles is, who Varjak is, the Audrey Hepburn connections, who redcoat/black veil is, basically every question you have… I’m answering it in this post. If I can’t convince you who A is in this post, there’s no way to convince someone.

@beckyleighanne found a drawing of a white horse in Spencer’s dollhouse room and who has a white horse named Custard? …Bethany. Thank you for that info!☺️ So I started thinking about Spencer and I remembered the time when Veronica said “Consider it a blessing” because Spencer couldn’t really remember her past. CONSIDER IT A BLESSING. THEORY: Spencer is Bethany. The baby Mrs. D was holding was Spencer not Alison. Peter Hastings, Wren & Melissa are basically a team who are trying to “protect” Spencer. Melissa told Spencer that she had been protecting her since BEFORE it started. Remember when Mrs. D took Bethany to the horse ranch where she threw a bucket at her? When Spencer went back to that place to search for clues with Emily, she notices a horse cap that had Melissa’s initials on it. Could it be that she took both Spencer and Melissa there? The guy at the horse ranch said that they didn’t look like family. Mrs. D, Spencer & Melissa don’t look like family to me either. Since Wren is working for Peter, he is the one who drew those pictures. It’s not Bethany’s drawings, it’s Wren’s. They showed us that Wren could draw for a reason. Everything in PLL happens for a reason. Mrs. D was having an affair with Bethany’s father right? Who do we know that Mrs. D had an affair with? Peter Hastings. Spencer hit Alison with the rock/shovel because she thought that Alison could never keep her secret. We have to remember that Spencer went back to the barn without a shovel. Spencer thought she heard a “scream” but in the flashbacks, we never heard Alison scream? She went back to confront Alison (again) so that she wouldn’t spill her drug secret. Mrs. D witnessed everything and protected Spencer because she is also her child. Peter Hastings stopped Spencer from finding out about what happened to Marion because it’s going link back to them. When Jessica sent that mail that said “I can’t protect you anymore” It was around the time when Spencer got tough towards Jessica because she thought she hit Alison with the shovel. However, the reason she was killed was not because of that. Big A (Charles) killed his own mother.

I’ve also noticed Spencer wearing clothes with horses on it. Oh and there’s more where that came from. 

She was sent off to Radley when she was little because of some mental illness, remember when Alison witnessed a fight between Spencer and Melissa? It sounded so psychotic, that was a clue that Spencer was going through some rough shit. Spencer said her favorite game was hide and seek because she would always win, maybe thanks to Radley? When she was in Radley, she happened to somehow get into the children’s ward, maybe because she stayed there?

Mrs. D keeps sleepwalking to Spencer and stares through her window at Spencer. It’s basically reflecting what happened the night Alison disappeared. It can’t be random, everything in PLL happens for a reason. Like Marlene said, everything in PLL is significant. 

There are theories about the logo of the Campbell’s farm, which is a peacock. What’s interesting is, I’ve noticed pictures of peacock feathers in Spencer’s room. I am convinced that the baby Mrs. D was holding is Spencer (Bethany) Jessica got two yellow tops, one for Alison and the other for Spencer. It couldn’t have been the two boys as they were 5 years older whereas the yellow tops were identical and probably the same size? Spencer was born in 1994 and Alison in 1995. It makes sense. Spencer was seen wearing a yellow dress at the masquerade ball, the episode where Mona is revealed as A and Charles takes over. 

Now let’s talk about the recordings. My mind was blown when I thought of this. 

Spencer was sent off to Radley because of her drug addiction and also because she ‘’killed’’ Alison (or so they thought) She was going through such phase that she couldn’t really remember her past life. Everything happened so quickly. Bethany said ‘’I thought she really liked me but everything she said to me was a lie. Every word, every visit. I wonder if I can trust anyone in that family? Is it like mother like daughter?’’ Spencer was talking about Jessica Dilaurentis because she thought Jessica really liked her since she protected her and didn’t call the cops. Then she says ‘’She’s an evil bitch. I don’t mean nasty or rude, I mean evil without a soul! She can be the nicest person in the world, she gets them to do whatever she wants! 5 minutes with her, you’d drown a bag of kittens, 2 minutes if you’re a man. Not destructive. Self-defense. It’s me or her! She’s not the only one who can make plans’’ I want you to first imagine Spencer saying this about Alison. It describes their relationship perfectly, right? A Radley patient cannot make plans unless Alison was in Radley too? It was self-defense when Spencer hit Alison because she knew Alison would never keep her drug addiction a secret. Alison is always telling Spencer what to do, blackmailing her about Melissa’s boyfriends, etc. Spencer didn’t want Alison to have another reason to blackmail her with. Alison was an evil bitch. The recordings were recorded in August! When it was SUMMER. 

I found this really interesting. We know that Alison didn’t die, they’ve made a false statement that Bethany was in that grave. If you look closely, Spencer is wearing the same ruffled top as the girl in the casket ;) 

 Now to those of you who say Bethany is dead. Here’s the thing; Let’s start off with the fact that Alison has no idea who the hell is Bethany. The letter was fake along with the Varjak passport. Sara Harvey was introduced for a reason, she disappeared the same night Alison disappeared. Melissa thought she killed Alison but later confessed to killing a STRANGER. We have to remember that Wren is a doctor and Peter has loads of connections, Veronica is a lawyer, etc. They could have all helped into making a false statement about Bethany Young being in that grave. Also, how is it possible that ‘’Bethany’s parents’’ dropped charges?! 

Spencer was dressed as MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS. This is a theory I found online so credit goes to owner: ‘’Spencer got back at Melissa by “stealing” her boyfriends. Alison on the other hand was much harder to defeat. We don’t know how the liar’s lives was before the DiLaurentis-family noved back to town and they became Alison’s entourage. Only thing we know is Hanna was overweight and Spencer was competing in everything and probably won just about everything. When Ali became the leader of the group, Spencer lost her self in a way. She could still win on the field, but she did not feel like she was “the queen” anymore. Alison dictaded everything in her social life. Spencer got sick and tired of this and threatened Ali with the shovel the night Ali disappeared. Ali found out that Spencer used drugs and Spencer went crying back to the barn, dragging the shovel behind her. Someone followed Spencer back, according to the PI-card found in Ezra’s appartment. This person and Spencer talked and Spencer told her them she wanted Ali gone.’’ 

Now let’s go back to the recordings, ‘’Not destructive. Self-defence. It’s me or her. She’s not the only one who can make plans!’’  

This was the halloween invitation in Ezra’s lair. On the poster, you can see the girls from the halloween story so this isn’t just an ordinary poster. Spencer is seen wearing the exact same outfit as the lady in the poster, there’s obviously a connection here. They even colored the flowers purple on the poster. Not a coincidence. 

Okay, it’s a sleepless night for me but I think I may have just solved what happened Labor Day weekend… There’s a huge difference in what happened to Bethany and what happened to Alison that night… One of them being planned, the other a mistake. In the autopsy, it was said that Bethany was hit over the head by a shovel but her CAUSE OF DEATH was suffocation for being buried alive. Cece hit Bethany over the head with a shovel, that had to have been planned… BUT in Alison’s situation, she was hit over the head with a rock, a split-second decision to subdue a person. But… It was a mistake… Alison was never the target that night, Bethany was, and EVERYTHING went wrong. This is what happened that fateful night step by step. 

 1. Cece went to Radley, calling herself Alison DiLaurentis, this wasn’t a random act of mischief for Cece… Bethany had done something to someone she loved (Possibly Charles or Marion) and she wanted revenge. 

2. Cece continues to write/visit Bethany, and slowly she made a plan to kill Bethany, luring her out of Radley that night… 

3. Cece hit Bethany over the head with a shovel, Bethany is knocked unconscious and Cece hides her body somewhere in the bushes. She then hears Spencer and Alison fighting and goes to investigate the fight. 

4. MELISSA hears something and witnesses Spencer walking back with a shovel, when she goes to investigate she finds Bethany’s body. Thinking the person was Alison and that Spencer had killed her; she buries Bethany to protect Spencer. She then moves the body to the gazebo to bury Bethany.

5. After witnessing the fight between Alison and Spencer, Cece goes back to Bethany’s body and sees that it’s missing. She comes to the conclusion that Bethany had regained consciousness and was walking around somewhere.

6. Cece searches everywhere for Bethany… Until… 

7. Alison is walking back to her house, thinking she had won. From behind, Cece thinks it’s Bethany (since they were in the same clothes)… Cece then hits Ali over the head with the closest thing she has to her… A rock. 

8. Mrs. D sees what happens, she runs to Alison’s aid… Cece then forces her to bury Alison in the Gazebo on top of Bethany (whom they didn’t know was there at all) 

9. Alison is pulled out of the grave by Mrs. Grunwald… Cece witnesses this, she goes to the grave and finds Bethany’s body and fills in the hole Alison left when she was pulled out so no one would know what happened. 

10. She then assumes Spencer was the one to bury her because she was the last one with the shovel. This is why she tells Holbrook that Spencer did it, and also why Jessica hates Spencer so much, everyone thought Spencer was the one to bury Bethany alive… Thus causing Cece to mistake Alison for Bethany.. If Bethany had not been buried, Alison wouldn’t have been hit.

Here’s the proof… In 4x25 Cece is brought in for Wilden’s murder, Holbrook says she’s on hool for a murder charge and she better have something good to bargain with. She tells Holbrook it was SPENCER who killed Bethany, which is incorrect, Melissa was the one to bury Bethany. And if you remember, in 4x23, Spencer recieves a  bunch of faceless pictures in a photo booth with the message “You know me, Spencer. You killed me.” 

Whoever A is, they genuinely thought Spencer was the one who buried Bethany alive… They had no idea Melissa was the one to bury her by mistake.

And there was only one person that thought this information and believed it so much that it got them out of a murder charge and got Spencer Hastings hooked on one: Cece Drake

What if Toby’s mom was Ali’s mom’s twin? Bethany could be Toby’s sister or Alison’s. Maybe Alison killed Bethany because of some drama and Jessica killed Toby’s mom is keep Alison out of trouble for a murder. Then Toby wanted revenge for the murder of his mom and became A and killed Jessica. Thoughts?

The photo could be Toby’s family and that’s why it’s in the finale. The lady could be Toby’s mom then Toby’s dad then Toby and then Bethany. Toby is A so he makes this picture to show that his family was important until all of this happened. He wanted closure on his mom’s murder.

So this is my theory! @imarleneking said there was a reason the “twins👯” were NOT identical. Maybe the reason is because they are not twins but COUSINS👬! 😳 A lot of people seem to think CHARLES is the birth name to Bethany👸 or Cece👸 which would make CHARLES transgender. BUT this new theory could be a solution to CHARLES too!: 1. Marion Cavanaugh and Jessica Dilaurentis are sisters 2. Marion gave birth to Bethany and Toby, and they are twins👫, (Bethany and Toby are the same age) 3. Those two little boys at the apple farm were Jason and Toby(cousins)! (One of them looked slightly older) 4. Maybe the cousins grew up not knowing each other because stupid Mrs. Dilaurentis had an affair with Toby and Bethany’s father😳(remember Bethany’s dad hooked up with Mrs. D, and Bethany drew LIAR on her and hated her) 5. Everyone assumed Mrs. D was telling Bethany to call her Aunt Jessie as a disguise, but what if she really was her Aunt? 6. Maybe the Halloween twin story that Alison “heard” was really about TOBY AND BETHANY. Anyone in her family could of told her. Which is why Bethany and Toby don’t know each other. Toby could of blocked out the traumatizing story of Bethany. 7. Does this make Toby A? And Charles is his alter ego?

Okay crazy mind blowing theory here that probably is nowhere near true but it just fun to think about.

What if Alison is really dead and Aria was her torturer and killer? And the “daydream” Aria had of Ezra being arrested was actually something else that really happened?

Hear me out.

So, Aria was the one who had the breakdown after she killed Ali and was found to be mentally insane. And the whole show is just Aria’s mind protecting her from the truth that 1) she was A, 2) she was Ali’s killer and 3) Byron, her father, was arrested for his relationship with Ali (she actually saw him and Alison together instead of Meredith)

Some clues: When she reunited with Emily, she commented that they “had” to stay away from each other. Emily said “we all know she’s dead” but then Aria says something odd, “I’ve just never heard anyone say it out loud”.

Some Clues: There are the journals she writes. When people go through something traumatic, journaling is a form of therapy. She also once wrote something before it even happened. The guy that came to see Ashley looking for Mrs. Potter’s money. She wrote the dialogue word for word.

Her babysitter she ran into talked to her about wanting to see her writings one day. Aria said they are just journals.

Who goes to Iceland for a year? How can a teacher and an artist afford taking their family away for a year? And we know nothing about that trip. Like zero.

The MAYA KNEW clue. Miss Aria, You’re a Killer Not Ezra’s wife. Could be her mind giving her a clue.

The comment Ali made to her in a visit or a dream “you know why I picked you right?” may be a hint that she just picked Aria as a friend to get close to Byron and have an excuse to see him. I mean Aria and Ali didn’t really have anything in common. Meredith could have been her Nurse and her blonde hair reminded her of Ali and that’s why she got all panicky and scared. Mental patients can turn on their caregivers. Maybe that’s why she was so drugged because she attacked her nurse (Meredith). Meredith made the comment to Byron that Aria knows everything. But after Meredith leaves to never to return (and oh btw she just so happens to have a history of mental illness??!?!?) then Aria wants to destroy any evidence that would incriminate Byron with Ali. So she burned the diary pages. Maybe she was burning them from her mind because it was her mind trying to tell her the truth about Ali and Byron and she wasn’t ready to face the ugly truth of it all.

She told Ezra recently that she was writing a story and it’s taking a change. She’s become fascinated with the villain.

She is acting very very strange at Radley.

She drifts off a lot. She is always looking out windows and staring into mirrors.

She’s extremely paranoid.

She zones out and comes to like she’s been in a trance.

She has outbursts and fits of rage.

Could Ezra be her therapist and she has fixated on him and having fantasies about them two and that’s why her mind went off on all the spy equipment path and she thinks he’s watching her and her friends when really he’s just monitoring her behavior and counseling her and writing all this down because he’s her therapist? And maybe that’s why Ezra disappears off and on because he doesn’t work 24/7

She used to lie on Ezra’s couch a lot and he would be sitting up. Kind of like a patient/therapist thing. Why else does Ezra LISTEN without passing judgement to everything Aria tells him? He is there to listen and help. Which is what therapists do.

There seems to be a time warp going on in Rosewood. Clocks are always shown. Especially around Aria.

The Lolita thing is really big which points to an Ali/Byron type of relationship.

Aria could be schizophrenic and the other liars could actually be patients in the institution with her. Or the liars could be parts of herself that she has segregated off. Or she is reliving everything in her mind to change the story of how it all goes and ends. The closer she gets to the villain the closer we get to the truth. She said it the other night, the more I look, the closer we get to A. Which may be herself.

This theory could explain a lot of holes in a rosewood and story lines that are dropped off and people coming and going. (As Mona said, one girl checks in and another one checks out). The weird time passages. This could be why everyone seems to be a suspect and the liars are always being stalked. Schizophrenia causes extreme paranoia. Now that I think about it, I actually believe there are a ton of clues that could support this theory. It’s all in how you look at things. but do I think they show will go this route? Probably not. MOTIVE: Aria’s ultimate motive. She was betrayed by her father and the girl she wanted so bad to be best friends with and thought she was but realized she was being used. Aria adored her father. That has been said by Ella before. But this destroyed everything so her mind created an alternate reality. a different story. Mona being A could really be an alternate personality of Aria. So all the A early activities was Mona. Lost Woods Resort could have been where Byron and Ali met and Aria as A spied on them. Which makes sense why all the Ali faces with eyes cut out. And it drove her crazy and she killed Alison. Byron was arrested after the truth came out. Ella moved away. Mike, we rarely see. We haven’t seen Byron in awhile. He’s always traveling. Aria’s friends were also bullied by Ali and she witnessed it all. Which fueled her hatred for Ali. So her mind is now doing wish fulfillment for her friends. Turning hefty hanna into the IT girl, nerdy loser Mona into a diabolical villain, over-achiever nerd Spencer into a cooler relaxed version who stands up to her family, lovesick weak Emily into a strong powerful and comfortable with her sexuality. Which prior to Ali being “gone” they were not any of that. Aria was a little strange with strands of pink hair. Now, she’s beautiful with great style and having super hot romance with her English Teacher (like her Dad was) and close to her friends again. Wish fulfillment. But her mind is naturally dark, so it eventually goes back to the schizophrenia places and paranoia. And the Ali being “back” is really wreaking havoc with Aria’s alternate reality she has created for herself. And the truth keeps trying to surface which is why everything gets more and more intense.
