Bennie bit off a bit more than he could chew it seemed. For a second, he really thought she was going to leave him behind again. He wasn’t sure what to make of her coming back. Maybe she really did care. Or maybe she just felt like she owed him. Either way, he was glad Cece showed up. Bennie slowly got back up to his feet, body aching. “Feeling guilty or something from last time, eh?”
