SUPER HONORABLE PLACE

​There’s a thin line between the divine and the dangerous. I spent the last few years trying to find it with this build—the Biblically Accurate Angel Core.

​It’s an interactive tribute to a heavy moment in history, modeled after the Manhattan Project experiments but with design elements from biblical depictions of angels, armillary spheres, and a globus cruciger. It might look like a simple desk accessory, but there’s a lot of engineering under the hood to keep that "criticality" under control.

I gave it Interlocking rings with glow-in-the-dark "watchful eyes." Depending on the orientation, different rings can be spun.

​It features a 3-watt blue LED and internal sound chip. As the lid closes, a simulated Geiger counter intensifies, building up to that signature "dangerously brilliant" flash.

​ It wouldn't be complete without a way to adjust the lid. You can unscrew the cross on top and give it a flick to reveal a hidden screwdriver.

I had to learn alot of new skills to bring this to life, from getting better at soldering, learning a bit of programming, and even making a custom PCB to handle the LEDs output...
