Today, I can proudly say that I have received my university admission.

Now I am facing the next challenge.

To officially move forward with this journey, I need to pay the remaining registration fees. The total cost is $1,200; I have already contributed $600 from my salary and personal savings and raised $150 through donations, so I now need another $450. Because I believe in this dream and am doing my utmost to realize it, I plan to work hard this month to earn an additional $300—which means the remaining amount needed to reach my goal would be just $150!

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps me move one step closer to beginning my Master's degree.

They said the suffering was over.

But for me… it hasn't ended.

They said life had returned to normal.

Yet, I am still searching for a chance to continue my education.

They said those who survived the war had started new lives.

But we are still trying to reclaim our most basic rights.

The war didn't just steal our homes… It stole years of education, work, stability, and dreams.

Today, after everything I have been through, I have been accepted into a master’s program. Securing this admission was my primary goal, and—thanks to God and the support of those who believed in me—I managed to achieve it.

But my journey doesn't end here.

I am still trying to secure the registration fees so I don't lose this admission and the opportunity I have waited so long for.

Im distraught. I cant afford another 1.5k hospital bill. Ive been through this twice with him in May, 4000 in a week on him and he did great since. Then my husband got inti a car accident and our finances were put into his recovery.

Im terrified this is lobe torsion. A horrific and random event that is always fatal unless treated surgically. Only ultrasounds will tell us. If it is, he will need prompt surgery

No one is obligated to donate but I cant do this, not alone. Im struggling and reduced my cottontail intake from 50 rabbits to just 10 to try and manage funds while saving lives.

I still do not have enough to get him in for blood work and ultrasound. I just gave him more subcutaneous fluids and some critical care. I heard quiet gut gurgles but still far, far too quiet. Im desperate to get him the care he needs.

This is because there are two parts to memories - their encoding and their recall. The encoding determines their availability, their recall determines their accessibility. The reason why trauma memory and childhood amnesia are different is in this distinction. Trauma memory is often encoded differently, bypassing to the limbic system where it is stored as intrinsic memory. It can’t be recalled because it was never encoded. Childhood amnesia, however, seems to indicate that the memories are encoded, but we lose access to them as we age. This is most likely due to the development of brain structures that fundamentally change our encoding and recall of memory as we get older.

i HATE self-censorship for a lot of reasons, but being in crisis work makes it even more frustrating. who are you censoring for? like i am being so fr, WHO are you censoring for? have you even thought it through? people who have been raped know that they have been raped. if someone attempts suicide or is grieving someone who did, saying "sewer slide" isn't going to protect them from any of the feelings. a murder victim's family isn't going to feel better bc you said "unalived" instead of murdered. if anything, it's just extremely invalidating and othering. it's saying "what happened to you is so bad that i won't even say the word," which is NOT trauma-informed care. you are not protecting survivors/victims when you self-censor. the ONLY things you protect when you self-censor are the puritanical ideologies that are being encouraged by rich fascists who want your money and obedience

okay so i think i found the article op's (and me in my tags) talking about. being exposed to over 40 celsius (120 farenheit or so) for the whole day means youre sweating a LOT (the article says rashid- the farmer at the centre of the text- drinks around 17 liters a Day. humans usually only need 3, so i presume the rest is mostly used for sweat). so much so that the organizm reroutes water from other parts of itself to not die of heatstroke - salivary glands included, which means that 1. they have very little saliva in comparison to a healthy human being 2. what little their bodies DO produce is incredibly acidic, falling to ~5.5 ph from the ideal of 7ph. Teeth dissolve. Quickly. There's a mention of someone losing 8 teeth in two years

im not reading the whole article now (headache -_-), but later on the author of the article says about 30 million people (employed in agriculture) are at risk for extreme dental health problems. 30 million people at risk of not being able to eat solid food. 30 million people at risk of not being able to find work. being able to marry. being able to be part of their community. being able to speak clearly
