can I just say: I kinda miss the older days of the Heated Rivalry fandom..don’t get me wrong, I love all the content we’ve gotten, and I am thrilled at the success and attention both the show and it’s actors are getting; at the same time, it being so mainstream is a little wild to me and also kinda overwhelming. I think I’m getting burnout because of it lmao. maybe it’s cause I was here before the zeitgeist, but it used to be rlly nice seeing the same few authors pop up on ao3 and being super fucking excited whenever we got a modicum of Hudcon content or news about the show. now with everyone online, it feels like we’re digging way too far into their personal lives and like we’re drowning in content (both Hudcon and fan made) and not in a great way. idk what I’m trying to say, but what made me rlly realize that something is up with this fandom is that video of Hudson walking to the Jimmy Fallon show and there just being hoard of paparazzi (and he kinda looked like he was having a fun time of it lol). anyway, I don’t wanna seem like I’m gatekeeping (cause that’s one of the last things I wanna do at this point), but I guess I just miss the old days of this being a more niche fandom
