So, basically dotpad is a tablet with a screen made of physical dots (i'll call them beads for easier writing from here), and it can be connected to a device like an ipad (appparently). It then loads whatever picture is shown and converts it into black and white and THEN it displays the image by lifting some of the beads while the others stay down.

This is amazing? And so simple? Yet I would have never thought of it as a concept. And I have never heard of it? And there's ony limited information out there, like, i couldn't even find it on my usual online stores?

I had to turn this off, but it's something that allows Windows and anyone using your device to generate text/images.

So if someone is chemically sedated, doesn’t understand that’s what’s happening, but doesn’t complain then they could be seen to be “consenting” to that treatment. That’s true even if they don’t know what the medication is, what the effects are, how long they last or that there might be other options.

Because the presence of “consent” means that a restriction wouldn’t be considered “Deprivation of Liberty” it means these people aren’t entitled to deprivation of liberty safeguards, which including having independent checks to make sure that any restrictions to their freedom is proportionate and that they’re not being abused in that setting.
